This. It was okay (ish) when the booted "finalist" still got to at least do their show at NYFW, but this feels unnecessarily harsh. But to be fair, I might feel that way because I really like all three of the guys, and the odds of Hester being the bootee are slim.

They always used to tell the contestants that there was going to be an elimination because they wanted to see the collections and couldn't decide who to eliminate.  Since they were showing at fashion week the eliminated contestant still got to show along with the decoy collections - they were basically letting that person know that they weren't going to win.  This time they have not said there will be an elimination.  I don't know where they are showing the collections this time around but I'm guessing the "eliminated" designer will still show - we just might not see it.  There were always people who showed/spoiled the eliminated collections in the past - wonder if that will still happen.  (I can't remember the season - maybe Ashley's? - but remember people saying Swapnil - who had been eliminated several challenges earlier had the most beautiful collection.)

Poor Bishme. He’s really not into this. His three looks weren’t good. I didn’t like how they were all made to do a look per Nina, that should not have been done in a finale. Just my opinion.

I think it is completely unfair to give one designer a challenge consisting of “make anything you want, just don’t use a print” and another designer a challenge to “make a fitted suit”.  There is a hell of a lot of work that goes into making a fitted suit, as opposed to a skirt and T-shirt.  Garo got screwed.

Ugh; that first outfit was awful.

I feel so bad for Bishme, but from what I saw, he had a lot of sequins and "bling" in his collection -- not my thing.  Maybe I missed?  So hard to stay focused with losing a family member and his sister with cancer.  😢

Wrong choice, IMO. I’ve liked some of the stuff Garo has made, but it doesn’t look retro, it just looks old.

Of course Hester and her Elmo dress made the finale, that was a given. 

I loved Sebastian ‘s looks. So elegant. Sebastian for the win!

I’m on the fence about Garo, I think he has talent but question his taste.

I felt bad for Bishme, too much distraction in his private life.

NO!  Bishme broke my heart.  Him living in his studio reminded me of Christian living in a converted closet on his season.  Nina looked like she was tearing up when they told Bishme he was out..  I get it - his extra look was hideous - but I just can't with the ugly stuff Hester puts on the runway.  I knew she would move on though.

I also thought Garo's looks were the dreaded "dated" and thought for a moment he would go.  I also thought telling Sebastian and Hester to essentially make additional dresses and Bishme and Garo to make more complicated pieces was not really fair.

I've been Team Sebastian since the beginning but I am actually worried now that Hester will win this thing.

On the positive side:

Loved Garo's country cottage.

Loved the way Sebastian looked at his husband.

I very much dislike his caped looks like on the sequin dress tonight, which otherwise was pretty.  But I'm not a cape person.

Poor Bishme! Such a fine young man and a talented designer. I wish him well.

From the limited view of the remaining designers collections, Sebastian should have this win in the bag. That orange look was stunning. 

Having said that, I’m concerned about the enthusiasm for Hester’s looks. I get the sense that they decided early on that they wanted a winner that represented “young and fun” and that led them to Hester. Of course, many of her looks are silly and not wearable.

Garo has skill but I don’t particularly care for anything he has done.

Christian was great with the home visits. He really does give the best advice.

I loved his reaction to being out in the wild of Garo's cabin. And his description of Ft. Lauderdale as a gay island.

Just how tall is Sebastian's husband, anyway? He looked about twice as tall as Christian.

Bishme was the only designer who didn't have a partner. :(

Sebastian is head and shoulders above the other two. I really hope he wins this.

Hester is clearly getting the sympathetic winners edit, but I think Sebastian had the far superior mini collection.  His outfits were gorgeous, flattering, and looked runway ready.   Hester’s sewing improved when she was given more time but she’s still passing off cosplay as something original.  

Bisme, poor soul, fell apart and for understandable reasons.  He didn’t even arrive with a complete collection.  He deserved to go home because of that if nothing else. Sending him home is also a mercy to him so he can be with his sister.

Garo, wtf?  The suit was crappy.   The judges were right.  That was a hard extra assignment but why didn’t he make a jacket and mini skirt rather than pants then put the saved time into the jacket?   The sequined mini dress was pretty mainly because of that sparkly fabric.

My broadcast is behind everyone else, but I know that Bishme is out.  I'm so sad for him, especially because he's such a lovely young man who is dealing with a lot of sorrow right now.  But his wonderfulness still shines through.

I hope Dapper Dan gives Bishme a job.

I've been saying from the very beginning that the fix is in for Hester.  They think she's the future.

YES! It was so derivative. I can't believe she's getting to show. There is not one original thought in Rainbow Brite's body. I tolerate her much more than I did in the beginning, but I find her utterly exhausting. She's exhausting to look at, exhausting to listen to her talk about how original she is, her home was exhausting with all the crap everywhere. She is just exhausting. 

If Sebastian doesn't win this, I will not understand the judging at all. He is a true talent.

I am so sad Bishme is gone. I really wish he had been able to come with a complete collection and rocked Nina's look. Just too much on his shoulders now.

Class act Bishme. He knew other collections were better. I have a theory. I have loved Sebastian from very beginning and thought he was the best designer. In fact I thought he probably should have won at least four of the challenges. Maybe he really is heads and tails above the others and they purposely didn't give him some early victories so it wouldn't look like he was running away with the thing.

Bishme is grieving and I think he feels that he had to do well to justify all the faith that people have in him.  He doesn't realize that he's enough, just as he is and the reason people have faith in him is because he's very talented.

I hope this doesn't cause him to lose his way.  He seems to be a very strong young man but life can break the strongest of us.

I will say that I was surprised by how much I liked Hester’s collection.  Of course, I expected like a bonfire involving spray paint cans of neon spray paint so that’s not saying much.

Sebastian’s was so, so good.  And, yeah oh by the way, ballet dancer.  So boring, why mention it.  Love him.

Also, did none of the designers have Mimi for a model?  I don’t remember seeing her.

How are these models?? Seriously. I understand the trend for inclusiveness, but these women’s bodies do not present the garments in the best way possible. It seems an extra element of stress for the designers. I’m really not into it, I guess.

I agree completely.  I've seen plus-size models who are fiercer than fierce.  But it looks like they picked the big girls on this show off the street.  It's so unfair to the designers.

Sebastian has been the best designer throughout this show if not always the most interesting or innovative.  But I don't think he's going to win.  We barely know anything about him and that's a big sign, as far as I'm concerned.  On the other hand, we know what Hester had for breakfast.

I agree, but I feel like the judges (especially Nina) are looking for something "fresh", which I guess translates into Hester-ish.  I'm so sorry, Hester, but you are now ready to "dress America"??  Not this woman - never, ever, ever!!  I wouldn't be caught dead in your ugly prints, short skirts with knee-highs, or Elmo outfits with Madonna breast cones!!!  

Nina commented that Hester's looks are all "very editorial" - to me, editorial does not equate being able to wear it outside of a photo shoot.  I cannot imagine anyone except some young tween/teen wearing Hester's looks.  

And, on the topic of Hester-she has the most absolutely horrendous posture I've ever seen!!!  Hunched over (I guess because she's tall), head down, stomach protuding - it's terrible!  She is going to regret that posture as she gets older - it will cause all kinds of back issues for her.

I feel so bad for Bishme, but to be honest, I wasn't overly impressed with much of his collection that we saw.  I did love the black leather ruffled skirt, but that was about it.  The rest looked cheap - too many contrasting colors, too much glitter and sequins.  I do think he will do well once he gets out of his own head.  I felt horrible for him with all that he was going through since the last episode, and my heart was breaking for him.  He's got a lot on his plate.  

I also wasn't overly crazy with much of what I saw of Garo's designs, either.  That suit was very, very dated, as were a lot of the other designs.  Brandon was right with the "Working Girl" comparison.

Sebastian for the win!!

My heart broke for Bishme. Right decision, but I was really rooting for him. I wouldn’t be surprised if he gets a chance at an internship with CFDA anyway, cuz the guest judge was having some feelings.

Hester dresses herself, every time. She even said, “Three Hesters,” during the runway show, because she’s so in love with her precious self. 

Hasn’t Garo ever seen earlier seasons of PR?  Make a cigarette pant and a jacket. Nina loves a cigarette pant. 

Sebastian better take this whole thing.

It’s official: I like Christian as a mentor more than Tim Gunn. Who’d have thought?

I also saw this.  Bishme's model was larger (probably smaller than me), and the combo of her and his awful new design were not good.  I feel ashamed for saying this too.

Yeah - because she slapped that shit on a pattern design program and made a printed fabric out of it and then created another "cutesy" jumper out the fabric, and sent it down the runway with a crop top or see through blouse, knee highs and platform rainbow sneakers

I’m so happy Hester finally got a model that wasn’t one of the size zeros. Best part of the episode was when they hugged at the end and her dumb beret fell off.

i felt bad for Bishme because he really could’ve used the money and the mentorship if he won, unlike Garo, but I know they have to base the judging on his work and not just sympathize with his personal issues. It was funny when they asked if there is an audience for Garo’s collection because I don’t think there is, other than rock stars who need performance outfits.

The thing that hurts me the most is that Bishme's other two looks were fierce.  When the girl walked out in the black I just thought 'werk'. 

I get what Brandon was saying and I get that he was trying to be supportive.  But when you're mourning a family member and you can't draw a deep breath because one of the people you love the most could die, there is no 'tunnel vision'.  You're IN the tunnel.

But it's a competition not a charity event. I'm glad that the guest judge asked Bish what he WOULD have done but his new look was definitely the worst.
