Sarah's friend needs to pull a MirandaSamanthaCharlotte Sex and the City level of intervention a la when Carrie couldn't STFU about Big.  Enough is enough.

MeghanMyQueen is a dipshit and I couldn't care less about her but her dad is pretty stellar.  He clearly wants to beat the Leprechaun's ass and I am here for it.  

Tony is absolutely convinced that Angela will take him back because she will.  She has zero pride and zero self-esteem.  Tony is a cheater and a liar, Angela.  That will never change.  She also needs to get away from him before she dies of lung cancer.  She lights up a cig every time he stresses her out and since that's like 24 hours out of every day, her lungs don't stand a chance.  

Marcelino is quite impressed with himself, isn't he?  Being a model and then being in the military doesn't necessarily give you a wealth of experience (not knocking the military whatsoever.)  Wasn't he supposedly writing a book or something his first season?  What happened to that?  Poker? 

Lamar has no desire to live in Utah and Andrea has no desire to live in LA.  Just end it already.  Tennyson and Nala remain the smartest people in this entire series.  

So we'll finally see MyGoddess next week?

I know I'll catch some flack for this....but Megan is 30, not particularly attractive or fit, doesn't seem to have much of an education, doesn't seem very intelligent and I suspect (don't know, but suspect) she lives in an area where black women are not very appreciated.  

People can tell her to get with a guy who doesn't have any kids and will treat her right, but how much interest has Megan ever gotten from "good guys?". That'll start to beat up anyone's feelings of self worth after a while.  

Megan is so unlikeable and annoyingly smug that it's hard to feel anything but contempt for her.  But sometimes there is a little pity mixed in because how sad for a young single woman to think that a man like Michael is the best she can do.  Even if he didn't have multiple children he abandoned and a WIFE .....he is still a felon who is ugly, doesn't seem very bright and doesn't have any life plan.

I've been okay with it, but it's time to bench Britney and Marcelino and get starters Clint and goddess in the game.  

While there is not a doubt in my mind that Marcelino is an insufferable know it all who feels his lack of any discernable skill should net him 70k a year for....reasons.....they are basically a happy boring couple.  Their dysfunction is kinda meh.  He is that asshole guy your friend married who you roll your eyes at.

I was annoyed by interminable footage of Andrea waiting for Lamar at the bottom of an escalator.   Is there really nothing else going on with any of these felons/idiots they could have plugged into that six minute segment?   Big reveal:  "There he is."  

And why was Andrea making up the couch for Lamar?  Sweetheart, Lamar did NOT come home "to see the kids."   See?  The conversation about the sleeping arrangements would have been much more interesting than the escalator vigil.

I’m disappointed so far with this show. Maybe it’s a slow burn and they’re building up to some good drama. Lacy/Chane/Chon and Angela/Tony are bringing it, but the rest of these couples are boring. On the WE app, apparently everyone who wasn’t ready for prime time is on a web series “Love after Lockup: Life Goes On.” I mean, if they are somehow less entertaining than what we’re seeing on TV, maybe it’s not worth it, but so far they have episodes for Lizzy/Daniel and Glorietta/Alex. I love me some Glorietta, so I’m going to watch that one now! Now that I’m thinking about it, maybe this is all the couples who broke up and hence can’t be on the full series “together” and that’s why they just get one web show to trash talk the ex. Will report back after I watch...

ETA: I should have watched this before I talked it all up! The episodes are 10 minutes: half clips from the old show and half webcam talking heads.

Glorietta and her mom are giving their opinions and then oddly a friend of Alex’s is giving her opinion, but I guess because he’s back in jail. Nothing too interesting there.

The Lizzie/Daniel one is juicier! I recommend that one! For those who might not have access to the WE app will use spoiler tags for the tea:

They talk about the laundry room sex. 
Lizzie says she was pregnant by the guy at the pool hall and miscarried, and she told Daniel all of those secrets that night, which explains why that fight was so extreme.
The scene when Lizzie bought the pregnancy test with the groceries, she says she was really late but right before the cameras showed up she thinks she miscarried. She’s crying thinking the baby would be 2 now, Daniel thinks she made the whole thing up. She’s saying she has a benign uterine tumor and thinks she can never get pregnant.

Daniel says he didn’t want to get married because he’s young. No explanation why he proposed then.

Apparently there will be further interviews and “secrets” spilled by these couples.

Ugh, these people are awful. Yet still I watch this shit-show.

I have so many questions. How the hell did Lacy manage to buy a home? Who would give her a mortgage? Does she earn so much from ho-ing herself out on the internet to buy a house outright? That phone message scenario was a total set up. I froze the screen when Shane picked up the phone and there was no incoming message, but a message from Lacy to someone saying that John wasn't replying to her calls or texts. I'm glad Lacy and Shane made such a good impression on the neighbours, who no doubt heard the screaming row and bottle throwing.

Sarah reminds me of my sister, who once had an abusive boyfriend. I turned up at her house once and she was in tears because "he'd been on the phone for 90 minutes". I said "only because you wanted him to be".  Sarah likes to act like a victim but she still wants to know everything Michael is doing. I'm glad to see, though, that she's dropped the fake patois she was speaking in during the earlier seasons.

Meghan is an idiot. Michael has no redeeming features and yet she says she's "proud" of him. For what? Being a criminal, cheating on his wife and cheating on his side-chick!

Marcellino just makes me want to punch his stupid face. I'm glad the recruiter was blunt with him. Surely there are programs available to help veterans to get jobs, particularly if they have advanced degrees.

I am so over Angela and Tony. She'd already dumped all his stuff outside the prison, and now she's burned all the stuff she bought for him.  Both she and Tony are as bad as one another. Maybe they are a match made in heaven.

Andrea's kids are great, and I'm glad she had an iota of sense to move back to Utah from LA. The kids are so right that she acts like a teenager around  Lamar. He won't last five minutes in Utah. Doomed. To. Failure.

Marcellino was described as a 'writer' in season 1, whatever that may mean. He's not going to make 60K at it, but with this economy, there should be lots of part time jobs in security, delivery/driving, and even in the casinos. 

I was glad to see the ladies standing up a little, at least. I don't really think Angela will hold out long against Tony's 'charms', but she didn't cave in this time. Sarah may actually go ahead and cut off Forehead's cash flow. Andrea will cut off Lamar when he refuses to move again. Lacey seems serious about dumping Shane if his bad behavior continues, but she'd better hurry; if I'm reading Virginia's marital property laws correctly, she might have to give up income that was earned with his aid (if, as we suspect, they're planning on doing porn together).

The only holdout is Meghan. If Big Daddy kicked her out of his nice house, and told her to start paying Forehead's upkeep with her 'singing', she'd change her tune (see what I did there).

Angela/Tony: I start to gag when I see Angela and hear her smoker’s voice. I imagine that she and her trailer smell disgusting. Angela will take Tony back again and again, she’s not fooling anyone with her tough act. And I don’t feel sorry for her, she is choosing this chaos. As someone said upthread: Angela & her sister Donna Faye are an unfortunate looking set of sisters. I find them hard to look at. 
 

Lacey/Shane/Shjohn-Lacey and her backless halter dresses showing off her giant side boob and back fat-no one needs to see that. I hate that she’s a mom, those poor kids. Lacey just wants 2 guys to fight over her, she is pathetic with her plastic body and vocal fry.

Michael/Sarah/Sarah-Sarah is another one of those who says she’s done with Michael but no way. If she hasn’t walked away from him yet, all the while paying for his phone, health and car insurance, she’s just continuing to be a stupid idiot. Why not use that money to put away for your girls’ college so they can have a chance of doing better. 
 

Andrea/Lamar-Andrea grates on my last nerve always talking about her religion when she fucked her inmate boyfriend in a prison closet. Her kids are the smartest ones on the show, I hate that their mother is making such bad decisions for the family. 
 

Brittany & Marcelino-Boring. Marcelino is an idiot thinking he’d get a well paying job with zero experience. Glad the recruiter was blunt with him. And if they have this debt, these 2 clowns may have wanted to wait a bit to have another kid. That requires forethought and planning-which doesn’t exist for anyone on this show.

Both Lacey and Shane seemed to switch between saying renting and buying. My money is on renting but they want to seem successful so they are pretending they bought it. Sadly, they’re dumb and keep forgetting, so they slip in the word rent every once a while.

I think the reason Sara is paying for Michael’s bills is that once you start the process of divorcing, you are prohibited from making any changes like kicking someone off the phone plan or insurance.  Until everything gets sorted out legally the finances have to say the same—if I remember correctly from what friends and relatives have gone through with divorces.
