Problem is, the internet. Whether it's true or not, if it's widely posted, then it will float to the top of search results. Not cool.

As for Cat in DC, she was the Tamra Barney of London. Came over here acting like she was royalty when in actuality she did a royal look-alike in a bar. I also don't remember the tide turning back her way. She was unappealing the entire series.

Yeah I always felt like her complaints were a bit of sour grapes. She was always pretty rude. It was all the damn time.

Aviva did it better.  Must be a thing.

I think at the end, the tide was turning in Cat's favor because she was so vocal about her dislike for Michaela Salahi or whatever her name was. She was saying to whatzerface what we all wanted to say.  I agree, though, that Cat was mostly unpleasant through the entire season.  She might have gotten a good edit had they been brought back.

From Aviva's instagram:

"Celebrating Ella's birthday in one of my fav dresses! Rockin it tn too - "

What an odd thing to say. When I post pictures of my kids birthday it's not about me. Even if I'm preeettty! I guess she was comped for the dress.

Cat seemed to be set up to be the villain, but after the party crashing, the Salahi's kind of minimized Cat's rude behavior and unpleasantness.  Had the party crashing not happened…I'm sure the Cat would be the full on villain of the season and Michaela would just be the goofy one.

I never thought of The Women as being anti-female any more than I thought Sex and The City was anti-female. It was social satire reflecting the mores of the times.

That's how I viewed the movie.  It wasn't about all women being catty bitches, it was about women in upper class New York society, and the culture of that time.

And, speaking as someone who works in a field made up of about 90% women, I can absolutely say that women, as a gender, are not backbiting bitches. Are some women assholes? Sure.  Just like some men can be assholes. It's not gender specific.

That's the third time I've noticed Heather say something about how great she looks.  Once when she was talking about how good her body is from working out (it was) and the other night when she was telling Luann that she thought her (her own) outfit was "cute, riiiiight???" while tilting her precious hat to a jaunty angle. Girl's not afraid to sing her own praises.

Probably one of the most unflattering dresses of late I have seen on Heather.  For someone in the shapewear industry she needs to try bandage dresses.  Anything bur frills, shiny pink, ruffles or the Little House on the Prairie look she is trying to rock.  The woman should never wear a hat.

Ramona was not concerned about that girl or her reputation. She was not worried that folks were talking about her. If she was offended by that type of thing she would have ended her friendship with Sonja a long time ago. She was mad at George and went sniffing around. I would have felt completely different if she had gone up to her, minus the questions, and simply told the beauty queeen that she should know that someone was saying some not very discreet things about her to a large audience. If the gal was interested she could have asked for details. Instead she asked those silly questions, like she was the headmistress at some boarding school. Yes, she got the information, but she looked very silly doing it. Which is pretty much per usual.

I agree that Ramona wasn't concerned about the former Miss USA personally. I also agree that Ramona looked really silly interrogating her. But, one of the reasons that I love Ramona is because she has no fear when it comes to approaching people on camera. In doing that, she allows the other person the opportunity to present their side. The fact that she is equally awkward when it comes to her cast mates and people she has never met before just makes the whole situation that much more amazing.

Ramona is the OG of this franchise. She knows exactly how the producers work. If she saw some machinations, or was involved in some machinations that involved this girl having to deal with George-based rumors, I applaud her for being able to let the former Miss USA get her story across while still maintaining a friendship with Aviva.

That's beyond OG! It's straight up Gangster!

I don't see how her getting the woman to confirm or deny the rumor on film means that she should have let go of Sonja as a friend.

I just read Kristen and Carole's blogs, something odd jumped out at me. Kristen first mentions the movie The women, and then says that she would still laugh if the gossip was about her. Reading Carole's you see she mentions the movie as her favorite. The movie is very old and not running on HBO every other day. I'm not saying Carole is lying but it seemed odd, that both mention it. She also asks Kristen if she would laugh if the gossip was about her husband?

Kristen wrote her blog first.

I read Carol's first, so I thought Kristen was just responding to Carol, then I looked at the date.

I think she's extremely attractive and would have about as broad an appeal to men as any woman her age... except for the crazed behavior.  Sonja's looks and figure on a laid back, kind and gracious woman who didn't circle and dive bomb men like a bird of prey?  She'd be way ahead in terms of lining up the next retirement fund aka rich elderly husband.  Or even much younger men looking for a fling.  Or, god forbid, somebody age appropriate.

I don't think she is that attractive in the least, and couple that with heavy drinking...ugh

The Women is one of my all time favorite movies as well. I own it on DVD and also own the digital version. But, I also love old movies and own several. Maybe the same is true of Carol? I just don't see someone lying about whether or not a movie is their favorite.

I agree, I don't find Sonja attractive at all. She has a very pinched face, especially when she makes that stupid "sexy" look. But, she clearly knows how to play the game, like most successful hookers.

I'm thinking the women in the movie seem to parallel the NY Housewives in the interpersonal dynamics area

Miss USA has said she was invited by production to the luncheon.  How LuAnn would not have known this is beyond any type of common sense.  I get LuAnn had very little in the way of a storyline but I must say the contrived argument with her repeatedly accusing Aviva of inviting the Miss USA was not believable.

Production doesn't clue in every housewife as to what they're up to behind the scenes.

I think there's every chance they "forgot" to tell LuAnn about Miss USA attending.  I can also understand if LuAnn jumped to the conclusion that Aviva had invited Miss USA to stir up drama.

LuAnn's already experienced Ramona and Sonja hijacking her season wrap party on the yacht with that ridiculous pregnancy story.  And they all know Aviva is so damned thirsty for a storyline that it wouldn't be unlike her to invite Miss USA so she could then steal the show with her fuck-and-awe threesome story.  I mean, even if production actually did invite Miss USA, then Aviva still got to center the entire benefit luncheon around her and her father.

There have always been instances on the reunion and in the cast members' blogs about production being behind something (even on RHoBH, Lisa left it to production to inform Yolanda she wouldn't be at an event...And Lisa maintains production neglected to tell Yolanda, which caused a rift between the 2 women during the season).

I don't believe LuAnn's reaction was scripted nor do I believe she was acting a role.  I think she was reacting to what was the most likely scenario, that Aviva had invited Miss USA so she could turn the attention away from the event and to herself.  And she did, whether she invited Miss USA or production invited her.

No, certainly that would not be a reason to let go of Sonja. My point was that if Ramona was offended by people behaving inappropriately and being a basic gossip, or surrounding themselves with folks who like to gossip, then she would not be friends with Sonja. Sonja has absolutely zero discretion from what I have been able to ascertain. Ramona acted almost like she wanted to sniff out the truth and save the day for the beauty queen.  Her motives were far from pure, but still she got the information and I am sure feels like she is the better person. IMO she is no better because that was tacky as hell, but she will feel good about herself, as she generally does even when she has done something offensive.

I don't think she is lying. I guess I just found it odd both mention the same movie.  I was just thinking that maybe the producers set this episode up in a way and told them about the movie. Sorry, I'm not very good at explaining my thoughts at times.

It is interesting though because before the blogs were even up, there were a couple of mentions of the movie on this forum. I had never heard of it before, and I became interested when I read the posts on this site, but more so when I read the blogs.  It seems like it is just a really good movie that reminded a lot of folks of this episode.

There is no way that facialist got her gossip except from Sonja.  Who else would tell her about Sonja allegedly having sex with Russ in LA?  I can see if people were talking about LuAnn - her pirate escapades were on tv while she was dating Jacques.  Everyone would have been talking about LuAnn.  But Sonja is the only one who could have said anything about Russ.  That facialist gossip session was a total Sonja/Bravo scripted affair.

Why isn't Carole pissed off at Sonja for spreading rumors, regardless of whether they are true or not?  Whether she and Russ had an open relationship or not, it would still be in horrible taste and a horrible thing to do to a colleague to have sex with the guy she's been dating.

izabella, Carole IS pissed at Sonja - at least that's my take on Carole's blog.

I think Carole errs in being critical of Kristen, who I think laughed at the absurdity of it all.  I don't know if it was here or not, but I read interesting theories about Sonja seeking revenge for Carole TH'ing about Sonja getting 'buttfucked' by Thomas after he had his tryst or whatever with LuAnn.

Sonja is extremely passive-aggressive.  She's probably envious of how smoothly Lu has negotiated life as a divorcee -- Lu has had two separate lines (the melamine housewares, the clothes) come out recently, while poor Sonja is getting called 'delusional' by Josh Taekman.  Of course, Lu has not had a judgment of fraud upheld against her...As far as Carole and St. Barth's, while Carole probably shouldn't have said anything like that, she filmed that TH after St. Barth's was over.  Sonja and Ramona were big ass aches (hardy har) on that trip, even apart from crazy-assed Aviva.  And Sonja was deeeerunk with a capital D during that trip...just like Saratoga.

Another Sonja theory I read is that she was late to meet Kristen because she was in the process of having to move out of her place, so that she could rent it out and actually start paying a little something on her giant fraud judgment, years after the fact.

Funny to see other people's take on things sometimes.  For me, on the whole I hate lies more than rudeness.  With DC, I HATED the Salahis because they were SUCH lying fakes, whereas Cat, although she was blunt and a little rude, seemed honest and like you actually knew where she stood.  The Salahis lived in Cray-Cray-Crazytown, and they took other people down with them/ made others look like fools (e.g. at that White House Dinner, you know someone got fired for letting them in).

Aviva is really, really creepy.  That's all I got.

....And that's all you need.  If there were a subtitle to this entire SEASON of RHONY, it could be "Season 6:  Aviva is Really, Really Creepy."

It sounds as if Carole is either unwilling or unable to accept the fact that some people just don't like her.  First she had a hard time with the publishing industry over the idea there might be someone within the industry that did not worship at her feet and could not have possibly ever been anyone in publishing speaking of her in less than flattering terms. Now she seems to be acting like a Grade A nut tracking down the "facialist" to set her straight.  It wasn't that big of deal.  Sonja was the one who looked bad not Carole.  Carole just has to be sure to let everyone know that her former boyfriend would never touch Sonja. Not something as simple as it didn't happen. This woman just goes way too far to make a point.  Twice she had to mention Sonja being a drunk in her blog.  First there was "Bookgate" whose ratings pretty much put the franchise in the cellar and now there is this "Rustygate".  Boring.

I find it interesting that Carole is unable to see some of her behavior as that of a liar, hypocrite or gossip.  For someone with such command of the English language she is either unable to discern the numerous circumstances where she has been all of the above or doesn't grasp the meaning of these terms.Today is the day of the filming of the Reunion-I wonder if Sonja has read Carole's latest piece of prose.  I am guessing that Carole and Sonja must have some sort of big blowout in Montana.  With ratings at an all time low it will be interesting to see how far these ladies go to hang onto their apple.

I had high hopes for Carole and now it seems I would like to put her in the "get her off my TV" category.

Man, it was bizarre that Carole actually liked Kelly & thought she was OK.  Um, WTF?  Can she really be that clueless?  Yeah, she can & continues to be in so many ways.  OK, Kells was smooching up to her.  This reminds me what I always, always, always HATED about Kelly -- her extreme snobbishness.  If you're not rich or beautiful or well-connected, then you don't exist in Kelly's world.  It's what bugged Beth so much about her -- at least when they first met.  Kells couldn't stand Alex & Simon cuz they were Brooklyn nobodies.

Hmmmm, so Carole couldn't tell Kelly was just kissing up to her cuz she has connections to famous people?  Oy, Carole, hun, seriously, you still want us to buy that you're so hip & cool & clever?  Really?  Eh, not buyin' it so much anymore.

Have to say, I am glad Carole did finally mention in her Bravo blog that George doesn't belong on TV.  But it does come late & she shoulda said this last week, before the overwhelmingly negative viewer response to his misogynist crap.  Did she come up with this in an effort to be liked & keep up whatever popularity she may have among viewers?  Could be.  But at least she said it.  Altho it feels a bit forced & not as genuine as if she had said it right after the offensive show with George appeared last week.  I'm really not diggin' Carole much this season.

I'm also wondering why the fuckety fuck did Kelly want to make an appearance here.  Did she think the producers were gonna show her in a good light -- um, maybe with rainbows & jelly beans?  Oh yeah, I forgot what a delusional out-of-touch lunatic she is.  They basically kicked her in the face, with those flashbacks showcasing her acting like the crazy nutcase she is.  Moaner's look when Kells took off her mask was pretty hilarious.  I wish they'd bring back amazing amazing amazing Max, Kell's pretend boyfriend/hooker, who also was with Sonja.

I always thinks Carole looks best from behind.  The hair color is an ombre  http://www.cosmopolitan.com/hairstyles-beauty/celebrity-hair/most-amazing-ombre-hairstyles.  Ripped from Carrie in "Sex in the City".  I guess the writers (and there are credited writers on IMDB for this show) got tired of stealing scenes from "Sex in the City" so they have moved on to "The Women".  Too bad they could not for once use a sight gag like the Baby Ruth candy bar in the pool ala "Caddy Shack".  If they are going to steal at least let it be entertaining.

Where are the writers for this show gonna get inspiration from next?  Not too many girl buddy movies out there.  Thelma & Louise?  Moaner & Veevs drive a car off a cliff in the Hamptons, while holding hands?  Or what about Bridesmaids?  Um, aren't they a wee bit long in the tooth to replay anything there?  Well, with Sonja, ya never know . . .

I don't think it is so odd that Carole liked Kelly. It was the first time she met her. Kelly seems to make a good first impression. She seemed interested in Carole and talked about herself just enough to make her seem interesting to some one who had never met her before. Besides, Carole never experienced any of the Scary Island stuff, nor had she been snubbed by Kelly after meeting her. Her experience of Kelly was what she saw in person. If she just met Kelly and only had a little bit of conversation with her at charity event, why wouldn't she like her? It's not like Kelly accused her of having knives on her tongue or became hysterical because Carole presented her with a gift bag.

Besides, Carole seems to be really trying to forge a friendship with Luann, and Luann likes Kelly. As far as I can see, there was no reason for Carole to back away from Kelly and treat her like a crazy person just because of Kelly's behavior on season 4.

I couldn't disagree more.  Well, as far as I can see, I don't know how anyone wouldn't be skeered to death of dealing with Kelly cuz her reputation now proceeds her, that she's a fuckin' crazy lunatic.  And the producers showed what a lunatic she is, just in case anyone could possibly not have known or had forgotten.  Wasn't that nice of those wonderful misogynist producers?  Mean streak much?  Is Lu really friends with wacko Kells?  Really?   Okaaay.  Still think Carole came off absolutely clueless.  She acts like she can read people so well.  Don't think so, Carole, hun.

Wowza, color me shocked to hear Moaner actually pay Kelly a compliment (altho a very back-handed one, & while she was making just-smelled-poop faces).  Moaner said Kells looked much more put together -- hinting that she always looked like a mess before -- which yeah, she always did.  And leave it to those lovely producers to show just how shitty she looked back then.

You really are quite the nasty fuck, aren't you, Andy Cohen?  Last week it was George's misogynist bullshit & this week we get to witness Miss USA's reputation being torn to shreds & crazy Kelly totally humiliated.  Lovely stuff.

When I first read Carole's blog, that was my initial, fleeting thought. Then I took an inventory of all the ways I am interested/vested in this show. I had watched the episode twice (first time in a hotel room where the cable kept going out), I had been reading this forum both during the show and after to weigh in on the action, I had watched the clips on Bravo for next week, looked up to see if I could find the 'first look" on my DVR, and I read their blogs. Oh yea, and then I come here a few times a day to check in. I don't even know these people, and none of them are talking about anything that remotely involves me, yet I am weighing in on this drama like it is my job. Considering all this I can certainly understand why Carole would be vested enough in things going on that actually involve her to do a little digging. Edited by motorcitymom65
