I'm beginning to think that Mariah is the "miracle child" that Cassie was talking about.

 

I dunno. Nick had that  dream after Cassie died where he and Sharon had another baby girl, just like Cassie said before she died in hospital. That little girl's name was Faith. Would Y&R totally retcon that too?

The difference between the two acting styles is like night and day. I have to stop and remember that Gina did not originate this role,it was MS with her OTT theatrics and weird tics! Gina T. is with out a doubt the best recast this show has ever made. She puts MS to shame! She damn well made the Phyllis character her own!!!

 

Ha! What a trip that another actress actually makes the Phyllis character more her own in such a short time than the braying over-actor that originated the role. LOL!

 

Still don't like this cold hard Phyllis as played by GT, but she definitely seems more like the Phyllis character Bill Bell created from the early days.

LOL, that was awesome, Mariah is one of the best things to hit this show in a long time..so happy that she will be at her mothers side through all the crap ahead..finally some support for Sharon who is always written to have to handle her problems with no help from anyone...

   

So many people have been waiting for Sharon to have some family, and now she does.  Good.  Also what in the heck was Mariah trying to get the Chipmonk to read?

I think you're maybe taking that a bit too literally. It is a miracle that they found Mariah and that she has some gumption and common sense and not easily walked over or fooled like the other idiots in her age group.

No Cassie told them they would have another "little" girl.Mariah is a grown woman.Also in the dream Nick had after Cassie died she called the baby "Faith". So I don't believe Mariah is the prophecy child.

No, I don't think that scenario is too literal because the show has been interpreting it that way. Nick and Sharon did have another daughter and she was coincidentally named Faith by Ashley, who didn't know the baby was really Sharon's. So up until now, the writers have taken that Cassie scene literally and I don't believe Mariah is that daughter. Unless they retcon that too. Nothing would surprise me with this writing team.

I am sooooo sick of Victor thinking a Newman can just ignore a father's rights and pretend that Vicki's baby was conceived by immaculate conception? I know TGVN thinks he is God, but now he thinks Vicki is Mother Mary. Just tell Ben and Billy that you want to raise the kid yourself and they will happily oblige. As if.

 

Wow Devon, could you be any more obvious that something shady was going down by carrying a briefcase into the middle of your restaurant/longue and handing it over to Colin, the king of sleeze?

 

And Lilly, you have such an unhealthy obsession with your brother's sex life. If Devon was smart (so forget this happening) he would hire the sluttiest hooker possible to act as his girlfriend. Guarenteed that Lilly would never want to see her again.

 

Why oh why does Victor always need to drink alcohol in front of his alcoholic wife? I could see at a party with other people, but one would think when it is just the two of them he could be considerate enough to just drink cider.

 

I hope Grace is on her way out of town now. I have never like the actress or her Mr Ed face. Now her Mr Ed face is frozen in a mask of botox. Please writers, put her out to pasture permanently.

Looks like Nick is planning on leaving town for a while, he mentioned to Grace in yesterday's Canadian show that he thought he should do that and in the spoilers for today's show, he is at the Ranch saying good bye to his parents..unless he plans on taking Faith with him, he must not be too concerned about leaving her with the one he is now claiming to be an unfit mother..

Have to give props to Noah for standing up for his mother when Victor and Summer were insulting her. He kept telling them that she was ill. He also was not happy that Nick plans on taking Faith away. Too bad the Newmans are mostly stone deaf assholes.

Did not like Summer's red/auburn/brownish hair. When they show it from the back, it looks like they couldn't figure out what shade it should be and just left it multi-coloured, unless my HD TV is playing tricks on me. And Phyllis' hair is definitely redder. Lol. When they were standing side by side at the Abbots I thought TPTB were trying way too hard to make them look more like mother-daughter. I think HK looks better as a blonde.

I do too and I am not usually a red head fan. I think it suits her and it makes her look a lot more like Phyllis's daughter rather than Sharon's.

I hate this, too.  I remember watching soaps when I was little and that was a very very LONG time ago.  The characters always put on their coats, and scarves before they went outside.   I loved to watch this - it was fascinating to me - probably because I always lived in Texas and it almost never happened here.  I always wished I could do that but it was too hot outside except for a few days here and there.  Giving away the age here.

Come to think of it, since the show feels more like a comedy these days, maybe that's how every scene with Victor & Jack should end.

I thought this ep was hilarious.  I loved the way his shitty behaviour was trotted out in front of him, thanks to his own conscience.  And some of those flashbacks were great.  Not sure where this is going, but when I heard about this ep I thought I would FF, but it was highly entertaining.  Nick getting caught in an animal trap at the end was icing on the cake.

So at the end of today's episode when Victoria makes the big announcement that tomorrow morning she will know who the father of her baby it, I couldn't help but feel embarrassed for her.  It sounded like a clip from Maury.  What professional wealthy woman would want to keep going on and on about the fact that she slept with two men at the same time and doesn't know who her baby-daddy is.  Something she could have downplayed or resolved earlier, I think.

 

In the previews Sage finds bear-food Nick, so Gabriel will be seeing him soon.  Wonder what he will do to him.

 

The rest of the show was meh.  I liked Sharon with Noah and Mariah, but the other Thanksgiving scenarios were boring.
