This makeup looks like you could scrape it off with a trowel. Someone this young doesn't need such heavy makeup and it's too orange/brown. Look at how light and pinky her hands are compared to her face and neck. Lighten up this makeup. She's too pretty to stand out for the wrong reasons.

I don’t think this was Heather’s fault though. Both her and Kashara were unprepared and of course they were as they had no experience. I remember last year Kelli said Heather was one of the standouts of her rookie class so I can’t believe she suddenly lost her dancing ability. If it wasn’t anything outright bad she did, I still think she should have kept her position.

I was referring to her lack of global philanthropy. Michelle O and Princess Di, she is not. I guess I have standards when it comes to former first ladies. I've read several JO and JFK bios and the only thing she every perfected was the PBO. Look it up. And look up Maria Callas while you're at it.

 

IMO she played the role she was born and raised to play well.  I don't know that she is my ideal person to emulate, but I do think she would be interesting to speak to.  I don't think she can be compared to other eras, society had different expectations and she more than met those.  I would credit her with redecorating the white house in american and period pieces, and using her social connections to have that completely privately funded rather than taxpayer.  We would not be able to afford to do it now, so I am glad she took the initiative.  I was never a fan of Gina's, but who she imaginary dines with does not really bother me one way or another.

Oh, I agree.  A poster asked if Kelli and Judy ever discussed someone being too thin.  This was the episode I and others remembered.  I didn't question her explanation, just she was too thin IMO and merited the discussion.  I guess there was another time Judy said "Eat a burger" but I don't know to whom the comment was directed.  I miss that Judy.

I think this one of the weeks is the NFL My Cause My Cleats. It the 3rd year. Just saw a touching story on ESPN about  Pittsburg Steeler's Cause - touching story about a Marine veteran's story (he stepped on and IED - purple heart recipient). The artist who designed their cleats was at the meeting and put alot of the elements from the marine's story (and struggles) into the cleat. Very detailed and different looking cleat -  knowing that each element was part of the full story.

I remember the DCC mentioned My Cause My Boot. Anybody  know what the causes were this year ?

RW looks Dragaliciuos. Why hasn't Kelli noticed or said something? RW is so pretty and doesn't need all that literal paint.

Rachel W has worn her makeup like this for years... look at her pics from the Clemson sidelines and before. Not sure why all of a sudden it’s too much for people when her look hasn’t really changed all that much. 😂 Her skin tone has been the same. Her makeup has been the same for yeaaaars. For that matter, they’re the same color - it blends well. Maybe it’s other reasons people now have a problem with her look?!

I agree that her makeup looks the same going by her old pictures (although I think it looks bad), but Rachel is a rookie. I had no idea who she was until she made the team this year, so I can’t be ok with someone’s look when I don’t know they exist. Why is there an assumption that people have followed her for years and just now have an issue with her look, rather than that people are commenting on her look like with any other rookie?

I've only been aware of her existence since the beginning of this season of MTT, and I've always thought her makeup was unflattering. I guess I just expected K&J to do something about it, given that she's a rookie, and given how much we've seen them nitpick makeup on other girls.

I didn't know who she was prior to DCC. I said she was all one color/muddy in camp and is still the same. I didn't like the look then and still don't like it.

Yikes! I guess I don’t mind who she is on the inside or the outside. I mean I guess what I was implying is that we’ve been seeing her for months either on the show or on social media.. and here we are nearing the end of the season and people still have a problem with her makeup! Or they’ve started speaking out against it since Halloween.. Again, my opinion, but it doesn’t look that much when it blends with her skin tone! All I can say, and I hope people would realize this own their own, is lighting is everything.  Jeez. :)

Do they just do hair during the makeovers?  I don’t remember if they showed her makeover or not, but I can’t imagine they would have left it caked on if it was.

Isn't it funny how if you come in and you are not a team player, you learn to be one quickly or else.  However, you can come in a team player, evolve into someone who is "all about me", and that doesn't seem to be a problem.

I remember reading that Jessika would never be let go as a DCC no matter how bad she effed up.  Now I know why.  Her bf’s family owns the biggest beer distribution in tx.  I’m assuming they have some sort of deal with Att stadium.

100% agree. I think people are taking the Gina they saw last year in training camp to be who she is now, over a year later. I don't think that is the case. I also think that it is ridiculous how people criticize her for how she acts in the after game victory celebrations, like come on she's just having fun like everyone else.

Her spray tan is called Clemson Orange.

They lightened her hair and IMO it should be draker, richer.  And Kelli has been known to tell girls NOT to tan, so I would tone that down too.  But I'm not a hater, I think she is beautiful but the way they are "managing" her looks does not make her stand out...and with those looks she should!

I think a lot depends on how the person is liked by the powers that be. They will see past faults if they are a favorite.

This is me too. And I think I commented on it within the show season too---she definitely has an old school beauty about her, but her make-up is awful, awful, awful.

Because people love to find ways to be fake offended lol. It doesn't bother me as a WOC that she decides to do her makeup one way or another.

Who is “offended” by Rachel’s make-up? I’m so confused - I mean that honestly, not in a snarky way. Some people thought she darkened her skin at Halloween, but otherwise, it seems like people just think her makeup is too heavy in general.....shrugs. She’s not alone. I talked about Holly P’s terrible hair and makeup for years (and I think I was right given that she now looks a thousand times better in LA), and I never had anyone suggest that I had an ulterior motive or was being fake offended by commenting on it.

I’m just confused as to why people commenting on Rachel’s look is noteworthy? That happens on the board all of the time. VK got slammed on everything all summer from looks to weight to personality. Not sure why Rachel should be an exception.

Ok, so this is about the Halloween costume? I said at the time that I couldn’t tell whether she had darkened her skin or not, so I basically stayed out of that conversation, but regardless, I think her makeup is too heavy on a regular day - costume or no costume. No different than I felt with Holly P and her makeup and hair that made her look closer to 35 than 20. 

When it comes to brown face, some posters obviously thought she had darkened her skin, and if the post about her apologizing to her teammates is true, then it seems some other people beyond the board did as well. I don’t know the truth, but some people are offended by people darkening their skin tone for fun. I don’t think there’s anything fake about it. But as with anything, opinions will vary.

Wow just saw a performance online of the Texans Cheerleaders, I like HTC and follow a lot of their cheerleaders on Social, but they are so 2nd rate compared to DCC... I see people here randomly saying fire K&J and I'm always confused to why....DCC really is the gold standard.

Yes! She is another one whose makeup (DCC makeup) is too heavy. It ages her unnecessarily.

DCC make up ages all of them. They are all pretty young ladies but that make up ages them at least five years. Have not been a fan of the make up. Reminds me of the Glamour Shots place back in the 80s/90s.
