S13.E11: 8 ½ Minutes Of Success

Vicki and Tamra seem to have mellowed a bit.  I think each has hit an age where they don't have as much energy and each has faced some hardships that no amount of reality tv dramatics can solve (Brianna's and Eddie's health, for example).  I like them when they are a little more tame  (although maybe that's because I'm getting up there too and that's all the energy I have any more).

The whole God discussion was bananas.  All these women proclaiming to be believers and having moral compasses etc. is absurd - especially Kelly.  How is it that God-fearing people run around calling others names like Kelly did to Emily's husband, etc.?

I can't decide what's more annoying: Gina's acting, Gina's phony (IMO) storyline, or Gina's upspeak and vocal fry. This is one annoying woman. I just don't think she fits in with this show at all.

If Micahel wasn't rolling around with the entitled SOW of suckage, maybe I would think its just Kelly.But Micahel rolls with Vicki. For. Free. So maybe it isn't just Kelly.

Darn Life for getting in the way of my TV watching. *sigh* Anyway, everything I had to say has been said. But I want to add that I have ridden on the back of motorcycles. Screaming in the ear of the guy handing the thing is a terrible idea. If you can't keep your mouth shut, stay off the motorcycle. I confess I wanted her to catch a dragonfly or something while her mouth was stretched wide for the screaming. I'd have appreciated that. She could gag for real then.

Shane is giving me a creepy, rat vibe for some reason.  I've meet people like him before, very sarcastic, dry sense of humor, and yeah it comes across as borderline insulting and that sort of humor is usually used as a wall or a way to over compensate for something else....maybe being overshadowed by his wife perhaps.... IDK something about him specifically bothers me though.

However I really do like Emily.  I think both her and Gina are nice additions to the show and vast improvements over the dullsville that was Peggy and Lydia last season.  I hope both come back next year.

I agree. I loved that house. So light with subtle touches of color in turquoise and sand. I could tolerate a lot of shit from ANYONE to live in a home like that near/on the beach.

I think Kelly knows she will never have that life again. Doubt she'll find another man who will offer her those luxuries. People change throughout their lives: emotionally, spiritually, physically. If you're married you have to accept these changes and use it as knowledge to make a better, stronger relationship. I guess if you marry someone based on their looks and income, you're not really in love. Love is not a feeling, it's a behavior. (Can't recall where I heard/read that gem of wisdom but it's so true)

I'm not a fan of hats. I don't get it. Unless you live somewhere in a hot tropical climate, why wear one? I want to have hope for Tamra, but she's always so dang mad at everyone.  The girl needs a chill pill these days.  I'm sure she's stressed, but being stupid with the drinking binges isn't helping.

Poor Shannon is so hurt.  Her eyes are so sad.  :(  My heart aches for her.  Divorce is painful and I don't care what nonsense Little Miss IKNOWEVERYTHINGABOUTDIVORCE Gina wants to word vomit out.   Even when it's the right thing to do, it feels wrong for a very long time.

Emily and Shane are quite the love birds, aren't they?  Mr.and Mrs.Warmth and Charm.  Such scintillating conversationalists.  Yawn.   

Kelly will hopefully, eventually, maybe settle down, but for now her love-tank appears to be almost as unquenchable as Ikie's bottomless pit.

No it was reiterated more than once  that it was health insurance and Vicki said  correctly that legally once they seperate/divorce she pups not be allowed to be covered under his health insurance and said hers would be $1k a month. Vicki did neglect to mention that  the kids will be allowed to stay on his health insurance. She can do COBRA, find an individual policy on her own, sign up through the exchange, or go to a broker like Vicki who basically told Gina that even though she would make shit signing her up for health insurance ($12).

Shannon just can’t believe that her marriage is finished, but mostly that David was so cruel.  I can’t believe it myself.  I just hope that the job works out for her.  She should give the guy she went out with another chance as he looked like a nice guy.  Kelly is desperate for a rich guy, but once she opens that mouth.  

Tamra is pissed that Eddie has a heart problem, period.  He’s probably tired from the meds he has to take and she’s not getting her usual sexy time.  Too bad, for better or worse.  This is not something that just goes away, and she can’t fix it.  There’s going to be trouble there.  She doesn’t look the caretaker type, at all.  She wants to drink, get dressed up and whoop it up.

Sorry to disappoint you but there was a fan get together a few weeks ago at The Quiet Woman and word from two different sources was that when Shannon arrived "a dark cloud" followed her.  She was rude and dismissive to fans and wouldn't even take a picture with a fan on that fan's birthday.  Word is she's a nasty bitch and is super fake when the cameras are on.

I'm dying of laughter over here because it's so true!  I live in a rural part of Washington and the "uniform" is jeans, flannel/hoody/tshirt, usually a Carhart jacket and baseball hat with longish hair.

It used to shock me when they removed the cap and the glare from the shiny top of the head.  I got used to it.  Come to expect it now. 

Stupendous Man wore a baseball hat because he worked outdoors. He had beautiful dark, long hair in a ponytail.  I thought I was mentally prepared for the bald dome circled by long hair.

Nope.  Complete shock.  He had a full head of glorious hair.  But he pretty much always wore a hat.

In my day, you got married and stood married.  Except in cases of abuse, alcoholism, cheating, stuff like that.   We don’t know, but Michael seemed like a nice guy, and we all know Kelly is a nut job.  The only thing I heard her say was she wasn’t getting enough sex and he wanted to stay home more.  That’s it.  If that’s her reasons to get divorced, she’s  nuts.  She seems like she wouldn’t be happy with anyone for the long haul.  What makes her think she’s so special?  I’m surprised he took her shit for so long.  To break up a family for those reasons is crazy.  What does she want,a young stud?

I always thought it was to hide the tracks or their extensions - these women don't know how to blow out their own hair/tease and hide the tracks. Gina and Emily were also there and the sources said they are as kind and down to earth as can be.  Apparently they REALLY don't get along with Shannon and Shannon went from 0 to hyperbitch in about 2 seconds when she saw them.  They're the ones who said she's impossible whenever the cameras are off and completely changes personas as soon as they come on.

Just watched the episode with Vicki on the Harley screaming for the entire ride!  If it scares you that much Vicki, drive your Ferrari to Cooks Corner and spare Steve (and all living beings) the torture of your screeching voice. I know that road to Cooks Corner in the canyon is only a 2 lane road with lots of curves and blind spots. But if you're on a motorcycle it's much easier to navigate. 

And fuck Tamra with her blatant envy of Shannon going on QVC.

I don't think it's roots so much that they are hiding as much as it's track marks, clip in extensions, wigs, toppers, hairpiece. I think most of these women naturally have very thin hair - lots of hair loss from coloring, bleaching and extensions. I think they all use "pieces" to fill in and give them volume. But you're right. All of these OC Ho's have hair extensions/wigs/veneers/botox/tattooed eyebrows/lipo/breast implants/vaginal rejuvenation/colored contact lenses/teeth bleaching/spray-on tanning/fake eyelashes and the list just keeps getting longer!
