Airs October 2, 2018.

I have always wondered about the drunken guests and the water toys.  It seems like an accident waiting to happen.  The primary seems particularly tanked.  If anyone knows what this guy does for a living, I would love to know.

Looking forward to seeing what the chef has to show this season!

I'm just so happy Below Deck is back. I thought overall the first episode was good. What a refreshing change from the hot mess that was Below Deck Med. Which BTW - I still maintain I WILL not tune into BDM if they bring Sandy back - I don't care what kind of "come to Jesus" moment she has between seasons... And just when I thought I had escaped her she was live tweeting during BD. Which makes me fear they're bringing her back. Ugh. BUT - anywho - thank goodness for Kate and Capn Lee... what a stark difference. Foam Charter Dude was annoying, but we knew he would be since he's a returner... Was I the only one sort of hoping for him to wipe out on the Jet Ski?

Sooo happy to see Captain Lee and Kate!  The new crew seems interesting - Caroline looks like trouble already - not for lack of experience, just maybe a little too full of herself.  Adrian seems to be more than competent and is already hitting home runs with his food.  The rest, hopefully, will be fun!  Not sure about Rhylee, from the previews.

Charter guest Steve is an asshole - I remember him from his last appearance - drunken fool who thinks it's cool to act like a frat boy.

Hoping for a great season!  :-)

Rhylee (why the spelling) looks very familiar.  Is she a reality show repeater?  Either that or she really reminds me of someone famous and I cannot out my finger on it.

Glad Kate and Lee are back!  Keeping an open mind on the new chef.  For now.

Also wanted to add - I wasn't crazy about the new yacht.  It looked kind of dated to me, and the interior spaces for the crew seem very cramped (that galley was tiny!!).  The guest spaces didn't make me go "Wow!!!" either.  I wonder if the production company searched out a ship with smaller, closer crew spaces/quarters, in order to create some drama.

And my day has been made!!  I have been watching all the reruns of Below Deck OG to get my Kate and Captain Lee fix in and so glad they are back for a new season.  I know it’s been said but Hannah is no Kate and Captain Sandy is no Lee!

So funny—I liked this boat better than last season’s. It seems less gaudy (I wasnt  into the gold and super reflective surfaces).

I think I actually like the boats on Below Deck Med better than the original.  I wasn't crazy about last season's either.

Good start to new season. Good to see Kate back. Thats a professional. New steward should be interesting. Good backround.

Boat is fine but kitchen does not seem attacking for "white glove service"? Amazing food porn to start the season.

Do not like ship board boatmances. I find them boring and uninteresting.

So glad it is back. Love me some below deck.

I actually thought the crew quarters were slightly larger than some of the past boats at one point Ashton and Ross two big guys were comfortably standing between the door and the beds and tons of storage. For the life of me I don’t understand why Kate would not only choose a smaller room but one that was open to the crew hallway especially when she is doing the early shift.

The galley, the stew pantry, and laundry did seem super tight. No one is having sex in that Laundry room!

Aiden is one of the few people who’s look improves with a man bun, but I wish someone would cut his hair. I was never that impressed with Ben’s “creativity” and Aiden’s is a little cheesy for me but it’s the kind of over the topness that the people who come on these charters like and it appeared to be very tasty. He makes Adam and last years chef look like they should be a prep Cooks at IHOP.

I am pretty certain they filmed in March which is still rainy season so I imagine weather will be an issue throughout the season.

I wonder what the lead guest remembers of this trip he was crazy wasted most of the time.

Chandler should have been more forceful but given he wouldn’t even listen to Captain Lee I imagine he would have just taken it off.

So the only thing possibly wrong with the chef so far is that he's a bit of a horn dog?  I'm waiting for the other shoe to drop.

Super drunk "Foam Man" is annoying, but for some reason he cracks me up.  It was hilarious to me when he seemed surprised that there was a cupid with a birthday cake and was like "wait! It's her birthday!" because he was too drunk to remember he planned it.  If anyone needs a life vest though, it's him.

I don't really hate anyone yet, but there are a few candidates that could easily go that way.  Even without the preview it is pretty obvious that Kate and the butler are going to mean girl the psych major stew and she is probably going to snap.  This might be a fun season with no dipshits doing a bad job.

Having some experience with filling a room with balloons under my belt, 500 balloons wasn't going to fill that bedroom and you need more than a couple of hours to blow them up using the methods they were, so the stunt was poorly planned.  That being said, they put way less than the requested 500 balloons in the room.

Seems like the obvious rivalries are set up.  Caroline vs. Josiah and Chandler vs. the NZ guy.

The "coming this season" montage made it look like Caroline or Chandler may be gone.

Or both.

I'll take your guys' words that Lee and Kate are better than the BDM counterparts but looks like there's plenty of drama here too, all part of the Bravo formula.

I’m glad to see Captain Lee back, but I’m disappointed that Kate is starting the season with such a negative attitude. Her comment about not expecting much from a malnourished chef was rude and rich considering how thin she is. She certainly does not like to be called about her weight based on her social media responses to it.

I know previews can be misleading, but from the looks of it, should be a drama-filled season.  I’m looking forward to seeing what else Adrian cooks up.

She isn’t a chef and was quick to praise once he actually did service not only praising the food but how easily he handled preparing it and his service.

It looks like Captain Lee insisted on a seasoned crew for this Tahitian folly.  (I really did not like the green crew given to him last year - it made one fearful for the passengers.)

But leave it to Bravo to find an experienced bosun with a stripper background ;-D

I actually woke up with a hangover just from watching the primary.  If I drank like that I wouldn't survive the night.

And while he is douchetastic I will give him his due in that at least he is having a good time.  My least favorite guests are the sad sacks who think enjoying things just isn't done.

The repeated guest with his stupid penny stocks scam and not understanding that six dudes day trading is going to tax the capabilities of WiFi for a ship under sea is a prime example.

I'm so happy BD is back!  Kate puts all other stews to shame (yeah, I'm looking specifically at you, Hannah.)

I am in love with Adrian.  Seriously, that food looked AMAZING.  A calm, zen chef who makes beautiful and good food - - too much awesomeness.

Looks like Chandler and Rhylee are going to be a problem.  Is Ashton going to be Joao 2.0?  Josiah clearly knows what he's doing (and refreshing to have a male stew and one that's been schooled in "butler-ing") but he seems a bit snooty towards Caroline.  Ross reminds me somewhat of Bruno.  I love all the accents.

Nice to see Captain Lee happy over his crew.  At least to start.  Because we all know it won't last.

The yacht looks nice.  Weird that there's a crew cabin (the "penthouse") upstairs by itself (the one that Kate chose)  and open to the stairway.

After the crapfest that was BDM last season I wasn't sure I was going to bother to watch. I tuned in and was so delighted to see Captain Lee that I stayed. I'm glad I did.  I did not realize how much I dislike Captain Sandy until I saw him. Huge difference and so much better.  I was stunned when the episode ended so fast..

I think Rylee gets the boot this season.  She seems to be Joao 2.0.

Josiah is already working my last nerve.  He's been flat out rude to Caroline.  Who isn't dealing with his rudeness.  But she's coming off bad as a result with her attempts to not put up with his rudeness.

I didn’t find him rude on this episode . When he and Kate were discussing what should go where in the pantry she didn’t say anything or talk to them and he was completely engaged with Kate,  than she was like “oh you didn’t see me I guess I have no charisma.”

Then in the galley service Caroline did keep trying to interupt when Kate and Adrien were trying to figure out the AC issue and could have waited until it was sorted out before just telling Kate she had done turn down service. I also hate to be shushed but in that situation she seemed off the rails.

I love me a good old-fashioned reality tv "How dare he/she/they shush me!" fight.

There's just something intrinsically entertaining for me about somebody saying the word "shush" with a degree of righteous indignation.

Yeah! Captain Lee and Kate are back. Kate is the real deal. What I like about her is the sarcastic commentary. She keeps things light. Such a departure from Humourless Hannah. Kate also knows what needs to be done, and does it.

Caroline irks me already. I adore Adrian. Now Adam...that is a chef. Even Captain Lee was blown away by his food. Rhylee is out of her element with yachting. Such a far cry from being on a fishing boat.

The drunk foam guy was pickled from morning until night. His young fiance was probably relieved at night when he passes out. Anyway, do they not have any protocol against driving water toys drunk? He seemed quite sloshed driving that seadoo around without a life jacket. I expected him to land on the reef and become shredded fish bait. But besides that, he was cute freaking out over the cake and cupid. His drunken enthusiasm for life was entertaining.

I remember her trying to interject when they were organizing and neither noticed she was even talking, which might be why she went so nuts on being sushed later.  Still, she's coming off as kind of unhinged.

I watched WWHL for the preview of next week but couldn't tell what was going on besides drunken yelling and the bosun being pissed off because he didn't want to stay out all night partying.

I know the show is toying with me in this first episode, with the elegant yacht, stunning scenery, upgraded staff and accomplished enthusiastic chef. I know that by the next episode it will all devolve into slamming doors, ship-mances and drunken staff. Sigh.

I wonder if Foam Guy was exaggerating his inebriation. He seemed pretty sober while he was expertly slinging that jet ski around. And why is Lee pals with him? Odd pairing.

Kate got her act together. There were a couple of seasons where she slacked off and, initially, she was unusually nasty to some of her staff. And she's got no business making fun of anyone else's physique. Did she get a brow lift?

I agree that the Alaskan fishing boat captain seems familiar.

On WWHL Captain picked Adrian over Ben without much thought. Kate landslided Hannah on the audience chief stew poll.

Hopefully this means Adrian doesn't degrade over the course of the season.

I'm REALLY hoping that, other than the superficial, Ashton is nothing like Joao.  Because I can't take another season of that.

No, I was hoping he ran into the reef.  I loathed his screaming.

Anyone else?
