 I agree 100%.  Clearly I don't know these kids or anything about their lives other than what I see on TV, but I'd be willing to bet that Tyler isn't long in that relationship.   He'll stay for a while longer but will soon be on his way.   While sitting on that blanket for Carly's "birthday" they just seem SO mismatched.  Not that Tyler is a prize, but Catelynn just looks so much older, sloppy, and trashy compared to Tyler sitting there all coiffed.

I actually thought Tyler was decent on the reunion episode. Catelynn biting her nails, wearing no bras, chowing down during heartfelt talks, and squirming around during the reunion - so obvious and infuriating.  I couldn't get into the story because she was so distracting. Re-watching the episode where Cate looks at a horse. (And not Tyler.) Am I the only one who laughs when she tells the farmer that she has 2 acres and can bring her horse there? I mean, I realize that 2 acres is big for a YARD and is sizable for those who live in the city, or even a subdivision, but it's not actual property. Our back yard is about 2 acres and it's big enough for the garden, my writing studio, my husband's workshop, and the kids and dogs to run around in. I could walk a horse around it in about 5 minutes. Barely big enough to bring it to a decent canter. Now, if we crossed the fence to the actual farm...there, we have around 50 acres. Plus, it's geographically diverse so there are fields to ride through, a little forest to walk through, hills to fly down, etc.

This is why I wish this show would end because I want to see what happens when reality hits all of these assholes. I know the kids are the real victims in all of this and I feel bad for them because anything that happens to their parents, affects them. But, Nova is certainly not getting the best of her parents as it is. They neglect her and leave her to fend for herself. When Tyler leaves Cate, and I hope it happens in the near future, I want him to tell her "Who cares?" when she asks him why he is leaving. Just like when she said, "Who cares?" when Tyler asked her where was Nova.

I'm having a difficult time agreeing with everyone about Tyler's feelings towards Cate. Maybe I just don't read people well, but I actually think he genuinely does love her and that they just aren't lovey Dovey on camera. Cate said on the "100 things you didn't know" special that they refuse to share their sex life on camera, so maybe that is why we think Tyler has no interest in Cate or that they're more like friends than lovers on screen.

I guess I'm just being optimistic and hopeful for Nova's sake, because, Cate, If I were you I would bathe, dress up, and always wanting to look sexy for my husband, especially in your 20s.

I'm in my early 30s and a mom of three and still have the time and energy (full-time job plus full-time mother) to wear a good bra and look nice for my hubby with a healthy home cooked meal waiting for him. TAKE CARE OF YOUR LOOK or else Ty will be looking elsewhere.

I use to like the girl but damn she irks the heck out of me lately with her bitchy attitude, careless parenting, laziness, and "who cares" mentality. They really did give this girl the "good girl edit" because this girl is nutso and using mental issues as an excuse for bad behavior. I'm sure Tyler is BEYOND annoyed every time she says "I just feel like my mental issues are screwing everything up..."as an excuse for everything.

 

Scratch everything I said above about Ty wanting Cate for more than MTV money, I don't see any reasons to want to stay married aside from Nova and MTV money. Pfft!

I find that VERY manipulative on Catelynn's part when she says things like, "My mental issues are screwing everything up."  She is super passive-agressive in general.  If I were Tyler, I'd be sick of her, too.

Tyler, at the very least, must have considered life without Cate. He tried many times to cut her out of his life with the many broken engagements. I am sure if he did experiment with anyone else, he isn't going to ever let Cate know, especially after the way he got on her behind for cheating on him with that boy in Florida years ago.

I totally get not wanting to share your sex life on camera but they look like they are not even the least bit attracted to each other in any of their interactions.  When Cate is clinging to Tyler like a barnacle, Tyler looks like he is suffocating.  They just don't look like a couple who are sexually attracted to each other.  Besides Farrah, do the others really share their sex lives?  I can't really recall any of the girls talking about how often they get laid or what positions they like etc.
