They can absolutely sign legal contracts when it comes to putting their own children up for adoption. Teens can't usually make medical decisions for themselves either, EXCEPT when it comes to their reproductive health care, then they can. No teen needs parental permission to get a prescription for birth control pills, for example.

These people, and I mean all of the cast members, cannot stop sharing every single bit of their lives with the viewers. Then, they are all up in arms when people respond negatively. It is even more annoying when others  exclaim on behalf of these assholes how it is none of our business, stay out of it, who are we to snark, comment, or dare to rip apart something about them that they have chosen to share with the public. It is not as if we broke the HIPPA laws and obtained information about their health. These assholes can't wait to share their weddings, their relationships, their new pets, their clothing, their 49th brand new car, they post vacation photos, they share with us how they love to drive while under the influence. They abuse people in their lives on camera. They get paid six figures for all of this. The cast members and those who dare to say we are wrong for snarking on them can have several thousand seats.

Cate and Tyler must realize they are under educated and don't have the skills or brains to maintain their current lifestyle once the MTV money train ends.  I never thought about it until recently but when Cate was in grade school where you learn the basics she probably thought of school more as a safe haven from her drug filled violent homelife.  She had to worry about immediate survival and not reading and writing and arithmetic.  I'm sure the one college course she did take scared the hell out of her.

I think there is signing documents, and then there is whatever little song and dance Dawn may have given them. The documents were a formality. They had to be signed. But Bethenny may have raved about open adoptions and how they've worked out with other people and how she's just sure it will be like that for C&T. This is just supposition, but I can totally see Dawn trying to sell it, based on the idea that they'll be really close over the years. So yea, in a way I feel for young Cate and Tyler.  But I do think they should be mature enough at this point to realize how things truly are and just let it go.

I've been re-watching some of Season 2 and I forgot what a disgusting piece of steaming trash April is.  What a bitch she was to Catelynn when she and Tyler were planning their first visit to go see Carly.  April's sorry ass piece of dumpster trash certainly has changed her tune towards Catelynn now that Catelynn has money.   I think it's unfortunate that Catelynn didn't go to school or learn a trade and get the hell away from her rusty dumpster piece of garbage mother and living an entirely different life.  Now she's following in April's footsteps and is becoming an unfortunate mother herself.   Such a shame.  April is garbage.  Was then, still is now.

ok, so it's $3000 for the horse and up to $1000 a month for the boarding.  Catelyn scoffs at Tyler when he says wouldn't it just be cheaper to pay $30 each time you wanted to ride?  And she says no that would be much more expensive.  Ok so let's say it's $500 a month to board the horse although it's probably more but I'll be generous and say 500.  So that's 6 grand a year to board the horse and another 3 for the horse itself.  For that same cost, she could ride a horse 300 times a year.  Is she going to ride it 300 times a year?! Plus there are other expensives, I'm sure.  What a fucking idiot.  "I want to ride it when I'm having a panic attack."  Why not start out slow and try something like going on a walk when you are having a panic attack?  I don't really think horse riding while having a panic attack seems very safe.  I hope that producer asks about the pig during that scene.  You couldn't handle a pig for 24 hours why can you handle a horse?

How does this horse therapy work? Once shes  in the throws of a panic attack, she would have to find a sitter for Nova (assuming Nova isn't already at April's ), pack Nova up, Find a ride to  the stables, wait for staff to ready the horse, THEN ride? 

How long do these attacks last because this sounds like an all day project.

Catelynn's attacks last as long as she wants them to last. If there is shit that needs to be done a certain day, she will make sure to have one that lasts all day long. If she has an appointment, her attacks will happen for a few hours. If she has a need to get lit, a panic attack will suddenly happen and it will stop once she has finished toking it up and drinking the last can of beer.

Catelynn is pretty fired up about this damn horse nonsense. Look at how Tyler seems to be sitting there knowing she is ready to go off on him. He is being damn careful. When the producer then mentions the actual boarding price, Cate gave that death stare. She isn't afraid to stand up to Tyler. She isn't cowering or squeezing out those tears as she has been shown to do. That girl is certainly April's daughter. Even though April was a victim of DV, I will never be convinced she wasn't dishing out violence to Butch or to any other dude. We saw how she would get in Cate's face in the early seasons, looking as if she wanted to slap her down, all that verbal and emotional abuse. I bet Cate dishes it right back to Tyler.

One day, I was trail riding my gelding -I started riding 35 years ago as 5 year old and this guy is an older horse I'd put my kids on, but still supervised because he's an animal, not a babysitter- and I saw a snake. I am deathly afraid of those things and my horse, Bowflex, as far as I know, didn't see it. I went into my usual terrified panic and he picked up on my nervousness. He started half-rearing and side-stepping. I can control him;  a beginner probably would have landed on  their arse. This is why I can't stress enough she needs to board her horse and learn from the knowledgable people at the stables, as well as socialising with anyone but Tyler and her bloody mother.

I think the buying a horse idea is just another passive aggressive move on cates part.  She is daring Tyler to say a word about the cost of the horse.   He blows a lot of money himself.   But yeah it is pretty ridiculous.   She just wants the easy way out.  She should try actually quitting pot and cleaning up her diet and see if she feels better.  Instead she wants to blow a bunch of money on a horse she isn't going to ride.

We did both equine and canine therapy when I was in Intensive Outpatient treatment over the summer.  For me, it was mostly about the joy of being around wonderful animals.  I especially loved the dog, as I am afraid of horses.  It was a nice distraction from my depression and it did put me in a better mood.  Both horses and dogs are empathetic animals, but I think that dogs really have the ability to comfort in times of intense stress, like a panic attack.  Horses are just too high strung, too sensitive to cues and nuances from a human.  It does NOT work the way Catelynn is claiming.

Catelynn is just so utterly full of shit.    MTV doesn't capture everything but it caught her being told to stop smoking pot and how it is counter active to her antidepressant and shows her wallowing in misery all the time and then caught Tyler's shit stirring mom put her on the spot about still smoking while cate and Tyler looked at each other like two kids getting caught with their hands in the cookie jar.  She went away to a facility to get her shit together and quit smoking and then automatically shoves all that advice aside to buy a pig and a horse instead.  I want to know who they pissed off because the edit they are getting right now shows cate as a hot mess, with a lot more in common with her mother than they would have had us believe when she was getting a sweetheart edit.   Tyler is comfortable acting like a douche in front of the cameras is is surprised any of this is airing.

I think Cate is getting the truth edit. There is nothing else going on in her life. MTV has to air something about her and frankly, this is what she is giving them. The rest of the time Nova is not there. Tyler and Cate are getting high. Cate is asleep or enjoying a marathon of Netflix. What footage is left? The drama that is her need to visit Carly and her tiresome claims of depression and anxiety. I am shocked she hasn't claimed Lyme Disease by now (Hi Yolanda Foster!). The diseases Cate will for sure suffer from in the near future are diabetes, high blood pressure, and heart disease.
