While I'm here, anyone find it ultra scummy that while Matt was in the doghouse, he bought Amber a new ring? He was like crap, I'm in trouble. If I get her a nicer ring it'll ensure she stays, she won't leave me over my secrets.

She just really is as stupid as they come. Unless he is independently wealthy, a guy with no job or income ain't buying shit for anyone. She bought her own ring.  I had a friend in college whose boyfriend didn't work. She busted her ass going to school and working full-time while he pursued his rock star dreams. She'd talk about the stuff "he" would buy her and I'd think "You should know better. That's YOUR money. He doesn't care enough about you to get a job and buy stuff himself."

I have also noticed a quick change in her personality. The last season she was so motivational and wanted to be so positive about everything.

This season (excluding the earlier after shows because she was still pleasant) she's become bitter and annoyed. She mentioned in "unseen moments" that all the negativity surrounding Matt and the plethora of baby mamas approaching her drained her.

I can see someone's spark being blown out when all the drama is thrown your way everyday. Hard to stay positive.

I'll give you an example from my own life:

As of 2 years ago I was always called the "perky chic" the mom that likes to make up playful songs with kids instead of sitting at the adult table at thanksgiving. Always wanting to be outside and socialable. Patient.

Flash forward to the present moment and this past year I've been thrown so much crap from every angle that I'm mentally, physically and emotionally DRAINED. I barely smile and when I talk with others it's in that annoyed "get this conversation over with" kind of tone--even to family members that I LOVE. I Lost my energy to play with kids (except for babies they're are so innocent and adorable).

I'm just over it because of what people will do to take someone's smile away or their spark away. Negative people suck.

Now in Ambers situation she has the power to dump Matt but is insecure and pretty much dumb, but that still doesn't change the fact that Matt entering her life has drained her because of how much work is involved DEFENDING THE RELATIONSHIP is enough to make anyone act snooty, sarcastic and annoyed to talk or be interviewed about the same topic over and over again. Matt!!!!

When did this show only revolve around the relationships? They never talk about the kids or cameras don't focus on the kids! The show did a 180 on the goal of filming these moms. They only care about "who's cheating on who...is Farrah and Simon heading for a split..." No children?

I'm probably done watching as well. I already fast forward through Farrah and Jenelle's scenes since watching them makes me irrationally angry, and I fast forward through Kailyn, Chelsea and Catelynn's scenes because I think they're boring, so on any given season I am only watching one or two segments per show. I don't really feel like I need to watch them to keep up with the forum here.

 

The Ashley said according to her sources Adam is telling the truth. C&T likely do make $500-$600K combined.

 

What I think is funny is that per The Ashley, only the original Teen Dads are paid what the Teen Moms are (or at least ballpark). I don't know what Taylor, Jeremy, Javi, and Nathan make (assume they have to pay Jeremy and Nathan separately as they are no longer with their respective partners, but I don't know if Taylor or Javi get a paycheck), but it's less than the original teen dads. I bet that chaps Kailyn and Maci's asses no end that their exes gets paid nearly what they do while their current partners don't.

They have a more normal/appropriate house, normal cars, they aren't going on crazy vacations (a honeymoon is reasonable, and they didn't do anything crazy), they don't have crazy wardrobes or items in their houses. I mean frankly, outside Farrah, none of the girls are really living that crazy outside a ~$250k/year salary (yes, there are taxes being taken out, but even then, they must either be spending like crazy based on the lifestyle we see of most of them, especially once adding in the fees they get for their other appearances and magazine stuff). Plus, anything you see on camera could easily be subsidized (if you ever see a brand name or logo, either the company paid to be showed, or offered the item/meal/trip/etc. for free in exchange for showing the logo/brand on camera). If the cameras follow the girls on a trip somewhere, at least some cost is subsidized (crew expenses must be paid for, they have to find locations they can film while there, etc.).

I'm guessed by Cait and Tyler and supporting many extended family members. Definitely Butch and April. Possible Tyler's sister and her kids and Cait's brother Nick and who knows who else.

I paused the show when Gary was typing his parenting plan. He wrote that the mother shall pay the father $1200/month for child support based on income. Looks like Ambie didn't agree (and refused to sign Gary's parenting plan) if she's still paying a big, fat $0.
She sticks with Matt because if she got upset with him over not paying, she'd be a hyporite.

Since when do people have a CHOICE as to how much child support they pay? It should be drawn up in court and let the court decide if Amber won't agree on Gary's numbers. They can base it off of HER MTV salary, how many days a month she has Leah, Gary's income, etc. Amber shouldn't have a choice in what she pays in child support AND Gary should enforce it if she doesn't pay it. We talk about dead beat dads, but there are plenty of dead beat moms, too. If she doesn't pay the court-decided amount of child support, they can take away her drivers license, garnish her wages and she can go back to jail for non-payment. I just don't understand why Gary won't get a court order for child support and have her bank account garnished.

That's one of the things that really bugs me about Gary. I think he sometimes keeps stuff out of court and in his own hands so he can manipulate Amber, hold things over her head, make offhand comments, etc. He seems to have gotten better but he still does it.

That said Amber is a horrible excuse for a "mom" for many reasons in my opinion, the child support issue included. I just wish they would both let the courts deal with it.
