Chelsea and Jenelle choose sides. Leah is caught in the middle. All the girls head to LA to film specials and the reunion or else face the wrath of not fulfilling their contracts. Kanal and Spread Them Cheeks Briana finally come face to face. Well, more like Briana's face meets Kanal's fake big ol' titties because she is shorter than Hulk. Chelsea watches out for the kids while Jenelle stirs up drama and sides with team Briana. Two hos in a pod. Leah is caught in the middle. Looking a lot like a deer in a deer cam image. Everything else, IDK if I'm gonna watch or not, I've lost some interest in the show after watching these girls's diva behavior and even though David sucks, I don't like that they fired him just because he said something offensive on Twitter, that's ridiculous - this show is supposed to be about these girls's lives and the other people in it - SO's, kids, etc. and David is her husband, so he's very much a part of her life. Posting "shit" is not comparable to posting homophobic slurs and referring to gay and transgender people as “abominations." It is despicable and worthy of repercussions. If an employee of any company were to comment or post such horrible things about ANY group of people while using slurs, they can't hide behind the freedom of speech. They face the consequences. When an employer feels that an employees actions or words are foul and vile and reflect badly on the company, they have every right to dismiss them. What transpired is, David refused to apologize for his slurs. MTV wanted him to make amends. If he didn't, he left them no choice but to get rid of him especially after sponsors were removing themselves from MTV and Viacom. MTV & Viacom could not afford to lose sponsors as that is their bread and butter. That is why they tried the apology route, but David refused. That is his right. And it is MTVs right to fire him. Case closed. 59 Link to comment

Yes but I agree with SheTalksShit- and the reason why is that while other companies will hold a person responsible for what they say they hold them responsible for what they do while at work. Example - saying homophobic slurs to another employee at work and or a customer etc. As for what they do on their social media accounts? Not so much is done about it most of the time. Everyone is entitled to their opinion even if it is igorant or goes against the norm. Just like he is well within his right to tell his children whatever he wants regarding that matter and everyone else is within their rights to say and teach their children that it is not acceptable to think and or talk like he does. Everybody knows that MTV does not agree with his statements or behavior as well as the companies that took abuse for advertising during this show. The way it was handled was just more bad behavior - pushing one belief on others or else just like a bully would do. Two wrongs dont make a right- ever. 8 Link to comment

It’s just weird, to me - I could understand not filming him anymore if he was just a minor cast member of the show, but he’s Jenelle’s husband and a big part of the show and her story, so it kinda defeats the whole purpose of this being a reality show when you take him out of it bc he is a big part of Jenelle’s reality. I don’t believe in fucking with somebody’s livelihood just bc what they say offends me, I don’t think that’s right, bc I’d hate it if somebody did that to me. 50 minutes ago, Witchz said: Yes but I agree with SheTalksShit- and the reason why is that while other companies will hold a person responsible for what they say they hold them responsible for what they do while at work. David’s livelihood is the LAST thing I’m worried about when he’s an unapologetic homophobe that feels it’s okay to celebrate hate. He can have his own personal beliefs and opinions but he’s a public figure whether we like it or not and many eyes and ears read and hear his views. I wouldn’t want some 14 year old boy or girl that already feels lonely about who they choose to love reading David’s tweets about gays being an abomination for loving who they want to love. Fuck that!! And this show is about teen mothers, not new soul mates and how they feel about guns and homosexuality - so it has no relation to the job he was hired for. And since we are big on “I’m adult enough” we can agree that the way David acts is childish and nothing adult about it. He’s scary and his cast mates don’t feel safe around him ...MTV has a right to fire him. I wouldn’t want my employer keep a colleague around that spews hatred on his social media then shows up for the company meeting fake smiling to his gay co-worker. 45 Link to comment

If it was a first offense I could see a warning being given (although what he said was disgusting and not tolerable in my opinion, but I get the whole freedom of speech piece of it) but he doubled down and became belligerent, if he was concerned with his livelihood he had plenty of chances to just shut up... even if he didn’t apologize, so if he’s not concerned about his livelihood why should I be? 29 Link to comment

Popular Post SPLAIN May 13, 2018 Popular Post Share May 13, 2018 (edited) David, like many people, fail to understand what freedom of speech actually means. They think they are allowed to say what they want and to hell with whoever it offends. One can give their opinion on any topic you wish. You can tell the world you are a Nazi sympathizer, a racist, or you are homophobic. What our amendment for freedom of speech protects you from is being arrested for your words. It does not protect you from losing your job, it does not protect you from harm, it does not protect you from the backlash that will likely be thrown your way. If one is going to post on a PUBLIC FORUM their views about any particular group, they better be prepared to face the fallout that comes with it. It is almost hysterical to think adult people think it is okay to post such views and that they aren't going to suffer the consequences. Growing up, if some kid ever called out someone using a slur, chances are their ass would have been beaten. That would have been the consequence. If they used a cuss word in class, their ass was grass. They would have faced the principal and then whatever punishment their parents would dole out at home. Life is all about consequences. The public took their concerns to the advertisers. In turn, those advertisers took the initiative to remove themselves from the entity known as MTV because they didn't want their brand to be associated with someone who held such views. Far too many advertisers are not aware what is actually shown on these shows,. They are in the dark about what these people are putting out there on social media. They are informed when consumers bring it to their attention and they are told by these consumers their companies will be boycotted. Up until this point, MTV had not fired any other cast members due to their words or actions being the direct cause of jeopardizing sponsorship for the show. My children have jobs that have made it clear that their social media pages are an extension of themselves. If they post anything that their companies feel is within their guidelines of what they consider inappropriate and offensive (hate speech, for example), they can lose their jobs. Knowing that, if they do something that causes them to lose their job, that is on them. It is their consequence and they can point the finger at themselves. It is the times we live in and if people don't know that by now, they will when reality hits them hard. Plenty of people in this country have lost their jobs due to their postings on their social media pages. David is no different. Slurs are more than just words that people do not like. Popular Post ReadMeLattice May 14, 2018 Popular Post Share May 14, 2018 (edited) I used to work for a mainstream Christian company that produced curriculum for Christian families/churches. I'm not a Christian or religious at all, but I'm open-minded enough to work for a company that doesn't 100% fit my beliefs. I kept my mouth shut about my personal differences. Still, I was dating a girl at the time, and it would have been illegal for the company to fire me for that, as it's not related to the job itself. That's the difference. I think David's issue wasn't just his political stance or personal life, but his outright threats of violence and use of universally recognized slurs. They also likely were tired of dealing with him at MTV events, frankly, and it was the last straw. It's not like he simply announced who he voted for or his religious views or who he was dating and then was fired...this is a lot different. He targeted specific groups of people that are recognized minorities. You can state your beliefs but you can't actually target specific groups of other people. There are boundaries and he crossed them. Edited May 14, 2018 by Lm2162 25 Link to comment

Popular Post Linny May 15, 2018 Popular Post Share May 15, 2018 So many unintentional comedic gems in this one, I laughed out loud several times. My highlights: --Jenelle calling out Kail's perpetual bad attitude (not that Jenelle has any room to talk, but she ain't wrong, either.) --Leah claiming loyalty to Kail because Kail came to Leah's wedding, then admitting her wedding didn't mean shit. --Gracie immediately excusing herself to go to bed when Leah began rehashing the Briana/Javi drama. --Larry's sarcastic "well this is fun" while managing Kail's demands. You just know he asks himself everyday just how the fuck he came to be in charge of wrangling these over-inflated egos. --Brittany calling out how fucking thirsty Javi is, because YES. Hitting up Briana in her hotel room as she's feeding her infant because you want her to come out with you, Javi, really?? --Roxanne, proving a stopped clock is right twice a day, rightfully pointing out Kail's rudeness at sharing a dressing room with Briana. Eat shit, Kail, and get over yourself. Honestly, these girls may be masters at petty bickering and hostile attitudes, but I prefer this dynamic rather than the touchy-feely sisterhood of the TM OG cast. The OG girls always seem too varnished to be real, but the TM2 girls are fully aware that they are separate cast members of a tv show, nothing more. And I think a lot of animosity is driven by Briana's addition to the show, because that move made it clear that any of these girls are expendable and replaceable. These girls are fighting not just for dominance in the clique but for survival on the show, where they all want to be the biggest star with the biggest piece of the pie. 25 Link to comment

leighroda May 15, 2018 Share May 15, 2018 Can I just say I’m here for this Jenelle/Briana alliance (it’s currently going on mostly on twitter, not so much the show) because when it blows up, and it WILL blow up, it is not going to go down quietly, and as long as the kids aren’t involved I’m gonna have popcorn ready. 24 Link to comment
Popular Post ClassyCourtHeels May 15, 2018 Popular Post Share May 15, 2018 (edited) The look on the guy's face behind the cameraman after David went stabby on the balloons was hilarious. Also love how all the cast absolutely loves Barb and she loves them. Besides her swamp daughter. Probably also plays a huge part in her resentment towards Barb.
