kittykat February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Dammit! Still Chen climbed all the way to at least 6th, which is damn impressive. 9 Link to comment
BitterApple February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Bummer. I was hoping Nathan could pull it out, but unfortunately it's not going to happen. 5 Link to comment
Souris February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 I'm sorry, but Jin did not deserve component scores that high. Cranky. 14 Link to comment

I'm happy Nathan did well, but they just keep going on and on and on about it. I know it's their job being US commentators and Nathan being from the US, but enough already. Yes. They’re all, “this person, this person, NATHAN CHEN! This, this, that, and this, NATHAN CHEN!” It’s ridiculous. It’s making me start to root against Nathan Chen. 3 Link to comment
Darknight February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Ok i don't know why they decided it was a good idea to use lyrics and not just music to skate with. 2 Link to comment
SeanC February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 God, Chan is so fluid, and he can interpret the music so well. If he could only be more consistent with the jumps. 7 Link to comment

scarynikki12 February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Huh, Patrick didn't really splat. He stepped out, had a hand down, but didn't make out with the ice like I thought he would. 8 Link to comment
Silver Raven February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Wow, they managed to stretch "Hallelujah!" out for an entire long program. That was beautiful choreo. Link to comment

mtlchick February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 He did what he could. I wish it ended better but this was a good finish for a great career. 1 Link to comment
Dots And Stripes February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 I’m hoping the last 3 skate clean enough for the podium. Nathan missing by less than .5 would be brutal. 3 Link to comment
twoods February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 (edited) I admit to getting teary eyed since this is Patrick’s last skate. He skates so well. At least he hit the triple axel. Edited February 17, 2018 by twoods 3 Link to comment

His speed across the ice is one of his greatest assets. It’s one of the reasons he can fit in so many little choreography bits and bobs flying down the rink and rack up points even when he splats multiple times. 3 Link to comment

scarynikki12 February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 No medal for Patrick. Gotta say I think that's more than fair since he downgraded most of his jumps. Go Hanyu! 4 Link to comment

Irlandesa February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Why wouldn't they be on their phones? I can't imagine how nerve wracking it must be to just sit and wait and watch while the other competitors go. And unlike those who fall below the top 3, they're stuck in that room with cameras. I think they used to be able to pace. I'd be on my phone too. And I'm not young. 19 Link to comment

Popular Post FormerMod-a1 February 17, 2018 Popular Post Share February 17, 2018 Hanyu's just got it. He is the complete package, a great combination of artistry and skill. His choreography actually looks like choreography and not just stuff to do between jumps. No it wasn't perfect, but it was still really pretty great. 25 Link to comment
scarynikki12 February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 By the way, why do they throw Pooh bear? Is Hanyu a fan? Link to comment

mightysparrow February 17, 2018 Share February 17, 2018 Was that good? I know Hanyu is the Chosen One but I just wasn't impressed. The quality of the skating just wasn't that impressive. Take away the quads (and they weren't all there) and was that a good skate? 3 Link to comment
