Thank You for starting a fresh new thread for this season's antics of the Brown Ones GC.  I have a feeling that we will see performances unlike previous episodes as they have been given a jolt with the 'will they/won't they' be renewed saga.  With the addition of Seeking Sister Wives to the TLC roster, the Browns will be forced to amp up their nonsense to hold the viewers attention.

Are the Browns asking for too much money?  It seems like TLC keeps looking for alternative polygamist families.  Personally, I wouldn't mind seeing the Bradys again.

Meri loves dropping a bomb and giggling like an idiot. Then she expects everyone to be happy and supportive. Robin is wrong. Everyone doesn't need to support her. They need to focus on providing for those children.  Just because Mariah is grown doesn't mean meri's responsibility ends. She signed up for this and needs to help support the family. That's how families work, polygamist or not.

This!  Although at least the B&B has the potential to turn a profit, and Meri might be able to get a mortgage.  (NOT a Mariah fan.  Could she just once be positive about anything her mother does?  If it were King Kody's idea, she'd be all about it.) 

What's killing me is the discussion of 400 wedding guests.  Seriously!  Unless TLC is paying (and I cannot imagine it would shell out that much cash), where would the family get the money to pay for that type of shindig?  Given the multiple bankruptcies, I can't imagine the family having a line of credit that would cover it.  

And does anyone know if either Mykelti or Tony has a job?  Talk about champagne taste on beer budget.

Both Tony and Mykelti are entitled brats.  Who doesn't have to deal with a budget?  This wasn't discussed before they started planning?  Lots of people are given a base amount that the family is prepared to spend - anything else you want on top of that is your financial responsibility or ratchet down your expectations.

Meri approached the whole B&B situation the wrong way. She was all giggles and "cool, awesome!" and wanting the home back. She should have said yeah, I want my family home back but the town has no other lodging and we have a chance to improve it's visibility so it can make some money for us. She should also promise to give up that financial black hole called LuLaRoe and sink her money into the B&B. She could also stop spending all that time on horrible leggings and instead spend it on the new business. I wonder why the place was only at 20-30% occupancy. Wonder if Meri even thought to ask.

Lasagna Fest: The look on Mama Tony's face when Christine said that Mykelti blamed Satan for all the bad things she did as a child-priceless. I was also so sick of Kody's voice within 5 minutes of the show starting I almost switched channels.

Venue Shopping: Let's see, Maddie had 125 guests at a destination wedding (where the majority of the guests already lived). Shabby chic decor that she made. M&FT want to have 400 guests (plus or minus, who knows because they may bring friends or kids or 12 packs) at a St. George site where most of the guests live, they want specialty street tacos (10 per guest) at five stations, lights every where, floating lanterns, full size pinatas, blah blah blah. And we haven't even heard about the dress, cake, flowers, etc. Yeah, I think the parents need to tell the kid announcing the engagement what the budget is the minute the announcement is made. Any delusions of grandeur is on their own dime.

This is going to be a long season.

Sweet baby Jeebus, I’d nearly forgotten how deeply I loathe these insufferable jackasses.  Of course, the majority of my wrath is saved especially for Kody (and his hair, his huge, bare, sandaled feet, his idiot dance moves, and his attention-seeking behavior).  He couldn’t look like more of an idiot if he tried.  He’s the only grown man I can imagine having a serious discussion with other adults while sitting Indian-style in a chair with his smedium button-down shirt hanging open.

Fat Tony, with his “bros-men,” piñatas, floating lanterns, and 4,000 tacos.  Good God.  He sure has a lot of demands for someone who isn’t paying for anything.  If he were my soon-to-be son-in-law, he’d be paring down his list of 400 (!) invitees by at least half and looking to me for guidance on what type of venue he’d be getting married in.  His poor parents seem like nice people who were trying their best to find the good in a situation they didn’t necessarily agree with, but have resolved to accept.  I’m sure they realize that these people are blooming fucking idiots, but what can they do about it?  

Maybe I’m overthinking it, but Pawn Shop Chris struck me as being very odd.  His first question for Fat Tony and Mykelti is, “Have you had any fights?”  Really?  Also, they’re that concerned about him bringing up inappropriate topics during the ceremony, like “sperm and egg” (his words)?  So weird.

A couple of random observations: Janelle hardly said a word.  Virtually everyone is even larger than last season, and much larger in some cases.  Meri’s B&B idea seems really stupid, especially given the fact that she needs buy-in from the others to make it happen.  It has five (FIVE) rooms and you actually expect it to be profitable?  A businesswoman she is not.  I have to admit, if I were Janelle or Christine, I might be tempted to throw some money at her just to get her and her Eeyore attitude out of my cul-de-sac and occupied in Utah.

*sigh*  I’m in for another season of this insanity.

Agree that Chris seemed odd, but I think that's why he's friends with M & T who are worse. You know those people who love to hear the sound of their own voice because they think they are so funny, witty and clever, but really they're just odd and abrasive, that's M&T. I do have to say, they're perfect for each other in that way.

I thought the same thing. Set a budget and plan a wedding around it. Kody will be footing the bill for a bunch more of these child bride marriages and needs to put a cap on the finances --tell the kids to either be reasonable or find a way to pay the difference themselves. Better yet, encourage your kids to be functioning adults before they even think about marrying someone. Oh, and the really offensive idea of bashing a bride and groom pinata is further confirmation that these two need to step back from the wedding, go back to school, and develop some emotional and intellectual maturity.

I reluctantly have to agree with Kody on the Meri and the B&B idea. Where is the business plan? Exactly how many days is she going to be at the B&B each week? Does she know a single thing about running a B&B? There is an awful lot of maintenance upkeep on an old house like that, especially if you are offering lodging to the public. I don't suppose our mensa member Meri has thought it all out. She's too busy giggling like a school girl just thinking about getting away from everybody as often as possible.

Robin is so pale. Does she ever go outside? She looks like a freakin vampire.

Christine is looking wrinkly and old in the face. She really needs to start moisturizing if it's not too late

When Kody put his head down you can see how badly thinning his hair on top is getting. Don't put your head down Kody if you want us to think you have such beautiful flowing locks.

I agree. That’s doesn’t make it a great idea, but it’s better than any of that other crap that was  gleefully entered without experience or business plans but no one cared. Even though I don’t think it’s a good idea, it bothers me that it isn’t Meri’s mistake to make. Her kid is grown and she’s divorced. Kody clearly doesn’t want her. So she should be able to go create this new life or fail at it without their approval. They are against it because she wouldn’t be there all the time even though they don’t actually care if she’s there or not.
