Ryan, Mackenzie, Jen and Larry are trash. Maci isn't the greatest thing ever but she has a fucking point: Ryan just got out of rehab early, refuses to communicate with her in regards to his health and has no right to start demanding things. She can't trust him or his enabler parents/wife and has to protect Bentley. I feel sorry for that kid because he is being treated like a piece of property. I can easily believe Taylor's story about Larry going apeshit on Bentley at Little League, and that he used to do the same thing to Ryan. I think that's what that weird argument and those tears were about at the end of the show. And of course Jen ran for the hills and pretended nothing was happening. I bet that's what she does every time regarding all things: sticks her head in the sand.

I've said it before but Maci lucked out marrying Taylor. He is a good man. I love how he declared that he was Bentley's dad and that he wanted to spend Father's Day with him. I love that he defended Bentley at LL and told Larry to shut it. I like that he lets Maci handle it and doesn't overstep but it is clear that he will get involved if and when he must. He is a great stepfather and whoever raised him did a good job.

Amber's "I don't like pussies. I like men. *dead eyed stare*" was hilarious and I can't wait for it to become a gif.

Poor Catelyn. She really needs to lose 50-70lbs. Thank god she decided to leave the birth control in.

I don't even really have any thoughts about Farrah. She does seem to be calmer and treating Michael (and his gf) well. That was nice to see.

As we've all been saying for what, seven seasons now, it's so obvious how hung up Maci is on Ryan. Let it go, girl, you're making yourself look even worse. She's acting like a teenager in high school still in 'love' with her ex and disguising it to her new boyfriend. Except she's not 16, and she is pathetic. I couldn't STAND when she said to Taylor her only downfall in court will be losing time with Bentley because she's been so generous to Ryan. Fuck off! Ryan is no prize, clearly, but St. Maci of Budlight was in overdrive in that scene. Oh, St. Maci, your only downfall is how generous and great and amazing and selfless you are! How I wish I could be just like you!

Amber made some sense when she told Matt the only reason he was in this mess in the first place is because he inserted himself into this show. Amber has always shown moments of clarity like that, but it's always shortlived. By the time she'd gone on to tell him she had built this house with him, I was done. You didn't build anything, literally or figuratively! You rented a house and then trashed it with dog piss and shit so badly you need to film on camping chairs in your garage full of boxes. Nobody would be proud of 'building' that. Also, I enjoyed seeing the spite chickens. Bork bork.

Debra remains delusional. She thinks Farrah only dislikes David because he told her to be nice to Debra? UM, what about the time he hugged her against her will and wouldn't let her go when she made it clear she didn't want any part of it? On their FIRST MEETING? Not to mention all the other shit he's pulled since then, like at that vacation house Farrah rented for them and David just acted like an ass the whole time. There's more, but the point is Debra is blind to it all. Also, I'm enjoying Farrah a lot lately. She's being pleasant and sane.

Why yes Ryan, of course you should get Bentley when you're 2 minutes out of skipping out off rehab early with no follow up plan and a Coors Light in your hand. Maci should trust you no questions asked because you've always been such an awesome involved father. What a piece of work. I know Maci and Tyler have their own Bud Light issues but neither of them have ever nodded off while driving in the mountains stoned out of there mind and they actually seem to engage with the kids. I do think Ryan had a moment of clarity when he was tearing up, just not sure if it was guilt that he was letting his dad treat Bentley like he treated him or realizing Bentley will know he's a drug addict.

Amber..... Matt is a piece of shit but your reason for getting rid of him WTF? Not that he cheats on you, not that he gaslights you, not that he steals your money but because he won't talk shit about his daughter and walks away when you go ape shit. Probably the only normal thing he's done.

Farrah seems much more normal now that she's out of her mother's orbit for the most part. I think she's the only one of these girls on OG our TM2 to actually take therapy seriously. I would never be involved in the adult entertainment industry but she seems to really enjoy it and she seems to be securing a future for herself.

Caitlyn thanks for keeping the IUD in. The last thing you need is another kid.

I agree.  I also agreed with Taylor about how he described Father's Day.  I don't mean to sound like a Hallmark card, but it's supposed to be a day for children to show their appreciation for what fathers do for them, day in and day out.  Taylor as a stepfather does more for Bentley in a day than Ryan does in a year....or eight.  Ryan leaves rehab early, throws a barbecue,* and because it's Father's Day and he's a father, expects Bentley to show up?  That whole crew cracks me up - they sit there with so much indignation, but none of them take a step back and look at the big picture - Ryan is a hard-core drug addict who left rehab early, he's unemployed and possibly still living with his parents, and has a long record of being an uninvolved, lazy, do-nothing parent, vs. Maci, who, like her or not, has always taken care of Bentley and has always been there for him.  She's married to a responsible parent, she's employed, has a stable home, and is not a drug addict.**  And the Edwards think their day in court is going to be a good day for them?  I think Jen knows the truth, and that's why she up and walked away.  As usual.

* Ryan attacking his plate of food was a stand-in for the drugs, right?

Wow this show is really getting messy.

I was disgusted to see Farrah with her dogs lined up in kennels, all getting sprayed with water for.....what? Barking? Maybe if they weren't all locked up, and were actually exercised and cared for and trained properly, they wouldn't act like that. 

I see she has another random "friend" we've never met before. And Simon shows up in Vegas, but somehow MTV misses that? Okay. Her segments are kind of boring, to be honest.  And I'm tired of being subjected to Deb's segments and her platypus way of talking. 

 

Cate has decided they're too busy for kids. Because, ya know, neither one of them have jobs and their business likely sells a shirt a week, and someone else is boarding her horse. But it's a damn hard life, y'all. Not that I WANT her to have more kids. But I think she just legit doesn't want any more and is too scared to say so, so she's making excuses. And it wasn't very cool to cancel the IUD removal day of, but whatever. 

I laughed my ass off when Kim looked at the preview for their website and was all, "where would people go to buy stuff?" And Tyler and Cate acted like she was so tech illiterate and that EVERYONE knows. Nah. We all scoped that shit out and it was weird and confusing. I am with Tyler on trying to save money. They're not billionaires. NO need to hire people to pack and ship for them. The kid at least has some sense. 

 

I have my issues with Maci, but I don't think she's wrong in how she's handling Ryan and Bentley. She seems to be recognizing that Bentley is growing and this is all very hard for him and she should keep it as private as possible. No filming when he sees his dad for the first time after rehab. No talking about it in front of him. Good for her. Ryan, on the other hand, seems to be the one who wants to hold court with the cameras. He barely thanks Bentley and then sends him away to play so he can bitch at Maci?  Which is all very unlike him. I think a lot of this is his stupid's wife's doing. And he seemed to be trying VERY hard to manage Larry on camera. I thought it was interesting to hear that Larry was apparently acting really aggressive and crazy at Bentley's ball game. I think there is likely a lot of dysfunction in the Edwards household that we have only seen the tip of. After all, Ryan wasn't created in a vacuum. 

Anyhow, if it were me, my kid would absolutely not be seeing Ryan without some conditions. I wouldn't trust his family. They never did shit about his drug problem. Not that it's their responsibility, but I just wouldn't trust any of them right now. 

 

Amber and Matt - so stupid. We all knew it would end, so it's pointless to watch. But now we know why Amber didn't give a fuck that Matt had 234829 kids around the globe. Because she considered that to be his "past" and didn't think they'd ever be in her life. To see her so obviously jealous of a 19-year-old was pathetic. Matt is scum, but he SHOULD be having a relationship with his children. And that should come before MTV and Amber. But go ahead, honey, hold court in your garage with piles of garbage around you and proudly proclaim, "this is my life". It's what you deserve.

I agree. Fugly beard aside, I like Taylor. He is an ideal step-parent. He is really there for Bentley, but he doesn't intrude.

Oh,this episode confused me so much. I kept going back and forth on who was irritating me more...

Maci/Ryan: I was equally disgusted with both of them. Ryan was right in that Maci should have been responding to his calls and texts. Maci was right to be worried. If she truly didn't have any more information than the rest of us then I can totally see how she wouldn't want to just send Bentley over there as soon as Ryan got home. The only way to settle that, however, is to actually communicate with him. 

Asshole for the win: Mackenzie. No matter how much Maci and Ryan irritated me throughout the episode, Mack still came out on top. 

Give a pass award: Jen. Jen is dangerously enabling of Ryan but I DID appreciate how she kept trying to level out the bickering over Maci. Even though she was probably having the same thoughts, she knew enough to keep her mouth shut on television. She doesn't want to lose her grandparent privileges-and I think she's fond of Jade, too. 

 

Farrah: Girl, while you're updating your will, might want to get a RO on that "realtor", too. Because I am afraid she's going to go all Single White Female on your ass. 

Asshole for the win: Debz, although she's clearly so "off" that I kind of feel ashamed for holding her weirdness against her. No, Debz, Farrah does not hate Evil Santa for telling her to be nice to you. It's for all his other douchebaggery ways. Like the way he basically accosted Michael at the party. And his unnecessary groping of your daughter. And his yelling at her on vacation. And his ignorance. And his ignoring of her on a trip that I am certain she paid for. And...

But the manner in which you carried it through? It made you look deranged. It was obvious that you were jealous of his teenage daughter and even more obvious that you just wanted to pick a fight and latched onto the first thing out of his mouth that you might be able to twist. There are lots of things that Matt has said and done that I would've loved to have seen you go apeshit on. This, unfortunately, wasn't one of them so the payoff wasn't as good for me. Also, you need to up your fighting game. With you screaming like a banshee while he calmly sat there with his shit-eating grin, slamming the garage door on the cameraman, your threats of physical violence, and your confusing counterarguments, YOU came across as the nutty one. You are not too busy to have a baby. You're not too busy to dress like an actual 20something, either, instead of a retiree making laps at your local mall.

  During that scene with the hairdresser , Deb's face was saying mid-forties but her neck was saying late 50's. You can't neglect the neck!

The whole situation with Ryan is just a hot ass mess. Maci's concerns are valid regardless of the motivation for her having them. Jenn and Larry  want their time with Bentley but also want to continue to enable their son's shitty ways. You can't have both!

I really want to punch MacKenzie in the mouth. The Grace Report nailed it when she called her a predator.

I am so curious with what Ryan sushed Larry with when he became unleashed towards the end of the episode. Was he going to reference Maci moving away from Chattanooga with Kyle? Was he going to out her drinking? Did it occur to Ryan that Taylor was right in telling Larry he couldn't act that way at a little league game with Bentley? The Ryan Edwards family is starting to show why their asshole son is the  asshole we've watched for seven years. Larry isn't a lovable Grampa after all but a vindictive, angry redneck who is going to threaten to " tell all" about his only grandchild's Mother on National television. Classy.  For whatever they want to say about Maci, that little boy she's raised, virtually alone, is a sweet, helpful and respectful little boy. Much better than his father.

What in the hell is Tyler so stressed about that he can't sleep at night?  You two don't even have jobs? Just picking up packages and dropping them off for other people to do the work for you doesn't seem terribly stressful. Farrah has her friends and family walking on egg shells. No one dares to disagree with her in anyway. That's why she seems so pleasant. They are all on the dole and that keeps everyone in line ( except those barking dogs; they get squirted at and caged up.)

What I thought was ridiculous was Maci wanting Bentley to see Ryan without cameras...I can understand that...but then she proceeded to tell the camera her version (a play by play) of what transpired at the Edwards Family home!  I'm no Ryan fan but maybe the reason he sent Bentley off to play basketball was because he knew Maci was going to get to get all up in his business and he didn't want Bentley to have a front row seat!  Maci is delusional if she thinks she can take visitation away from Ryan... Not when we all live in a country where even murderers have a right to see their children in prison.

So true. I instantly recognized that wig shop, though. My sister has RX induced hair loss and got HER wig at Bravada's. It's a pretty cool place; they'll color them for you and help fit you with extensions. I think it's kind of ridiculous that Deb went through all that for just one night, but whatevs.

My thought was that she did not want the cameras to show that Bentley was happy to see his MiMi despite Maci claiming she made Bentley uncomfortable. Possibly for no better reason than I would hate to ever give that Pious Bitch Maci any credit for anything.

I haven’t read the comments, yet, although I’m so excited to read them as it’s my favorite part about watching this show so if I repeat anything, sorry not sorry. ?

Maci was CLEARLY enjoying a vodka and coke or rum and coke during that hot tub scene. I guess her and Taylor have switched to the hard stuff because A. Their body is too used to budlight and it takes too many cans to achieve the same buzz B. She knows people are on to her drinking and vodka is odorless and the coke will make it look like she’s just “drinking a Coca Cola, y’all to support Larry’s profession!”

My ex-friends dad and stepmom were alcoholics and I remember them chilling in their pool with a glaze over their eyes (like Maci had, I’ll try and get a screenshot but anyone else is more than welcomed since I suck at that) gripping to their precious “coke” with shaky drunken hands.

Who the hell you know sits in a hot tub holding a cup of soda in their hands continuously sipping it? I’m sure their are some that are exceptions but but most sit in a hot tub holding a beer or glass of wine unless you’re trying to hide the fact you’re drinking and sending your eight year old son to take his sister inside to watch her while you sit outside to talk about Rhine in “private”.

Maybe I’m wrong but her eyes had a red lining around them like she was super tired or borderline drunk with a cloudy haze over her eyes.

Methinks that Larry is desperate to tell all of us about her drinking problem. Maybe that was the “you’ll know the truth one day” and Rhine didn’t want Bentley to have to suffer knowing from watching the show that he has a drug addicted dad and an alcoholic mom so he wanted his dad to shut up. If that’s the truth, then that is the first time I’ve seen Rhine do something selfless for his son. 

I do want to say Rhine needs to stop squawking about evil Maci and actually stand by his word and go to court. 

I’m happy Jen was holding back her anger for Maci so that she can continue to see Bentley.

Rhines going to get fat real quick. People seem to replace drugs and alcohol with food. 

I feel bad for Bentley.

Why are they badmouthing him. I think her and Taylor both need to seek help for their drinking problems. Then they'll be even, WTF??

Anything's possible I guess, but I find the above pretty farfetched. If Ryan was concerned about his dad outing Maci, it was probably to head off Maci outing him on something in retaliation. I've certainly never witnessed Ryan trying to make life easier for Bentley.

 

Larry himself is not frequently filmed without a beer in his hand, so I don't know that he should throw any stones.

 

In fact, "let's not throw stones" should be both Maci and the entire Edwards family's personal mantra.

Ryan went to rehab to shut people up; he didn't even last a month. A man who was falling asleep at the wheel needs much more than 20 days of help, IMO. I'd be concerned too.

I've always thought that as well. I believe they were last officially together in early 2010 and I am sure they have hooked up numerous times since then. Probably since Taylor and probably since Mac. I bet that is one of the reasons Mac is so hostile about Maci.

Listen, I am not addiction expert, but I think even a base understanding indicates that rehab is unlikely to be successful if the person going isn't really committed or doesn't truly believe he or she has a problem. Someone leaving rehab early (for non financial reasons) potentially indicates they aren't serious about recovery. If that is the case, then rehab is a complete waste of time and money.

 

I don't know Ryan, but my thought is he will likely relapse. That's just my opinion.

I didn’t think he had any visitation, but a poster said that there is some sort of schedule.  Regardless, it can be modified, especially for reasons like drug abuse.

It is especially common for those who don't go to rehab for the right reasons, they are court-ordered, or they don't own up to the fact they have a drug/alcohol problem. 

I get what you are saying and in general, I agree. It takes that one foot forward to make your way to soberville. In Ryan's case, I don't really believe he went to rehab for the right reasons. 

I do agree Maci needs to shut her big piehole and stop judging Ryan for having a disease. She may have one herself and that may be what is really irritating her. 

@Caseysgirl My two cents about Maci raising Bentley, she didn't do it all alone. There was always someone there to help her whether it was her live-in boyfriend, her family, or Larry & Jen who took care of Bentley. This is like the Kail situation. Playing the role of the single mother when there is clearly a group of people there to lend a hand and then some.
