So rather than annoy other people with a child size car on a busy sidewalk, she could just put the dog in the pet stroller (which also has netting to keep the dog in in case he wanted to jump out) and most people would be none the wiser. Or in danger of a stupid child car hitting them, being driven by an even stupider person. I picture Anisha as the person I have to give the stink eye to that bashes me with the shopping cart in the grocery store cause she's too busy looking at her phone. Lindy Dear May 11, 2017 Share May 11, 2017 For Ramona to drag a 6 year old into such an ugly, manufactured "issue" and then make up an endless haggle of mud-slinging nonsense speaks volumes about exactly how desperate she is to hang onto this show. Absent this b.s. and her groaning fuss about Luann's beau (who cares anymore?...if they work they work and they don't they don't.) this exploitation of a matter involving a minor child is the only possible reason for her to still have air-time. What else would there be? She's STILL divorced? She's dating duds? She has "work" done! Meh. Ramona (and her agent...AND Bravo producers?) must have had quite the time coming up with this stretch for a story line. Since Ramona would have no other reason to still be a viable "housewife", nasty though it is (even for Bravo)....mission accomplished. 6 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269048

Someone upthread mentioned that Carole should discipline her kittens by hitting them so that they wouldn't destroy the furniture which worked in the past for this person, but the thought makes me ill. Different strokes for different folks. It made me wince since I know while it may work its not the best way to treat any living creature. Wouldn't hit a child/adult, I am not hitting a creature that doesn't speak my language, only knows I am larger than them, and depends on me. Most people don't wait until their kids are out of kindergarten to throw some shit away (or donate it, or whatever). Kids get a lot of crap throughout the year. My kids probably got over 20 random Christmas gifts from various friends and family. Not necessarily expensive stuff, but lots of little things. And a ton of stuff on their Birthdays. Then there are gifts at Easter and at other random times. Do you honestly think that the vast majority of parents are keeping all of this stuff until they reach some magical age when it is OK to have them part ways with the stuff? Trust me, most people are not. Trooper York May 12, 2017 Share May 12, 2017 (edited) So lets review what we learned this week. Brown ice is not just for outside the dog park anymore. When you can't talk about your ex because of a court order get your flying monkey to do it on TV where he can not defend himself. The best way to take care of a dilapidated ripped item is to turn it inside out. Sort of explains some of the plastic surgery choices. You should go through your children's possessions and throw them out without them knowing because you want to get them used to throwing things away. Clothes. Toys. Friends. Spouses. Parents. They are never too young to learn to throw everything away. You can never keep anything. They always leave you. When you want to honor your dear departed don't invite your significant other to support you....invite a camera crew. It was a full episode. Ever since Bethenny came back, I stopped feeling as though money might have been the key to happiness (though more of it would sure solve many of my problems, as I'm sure it would for most people). This woman is a total success story, and the other women are born into it or marry into it, and yet they all seem varying degrees of miserable. Their only storyline is Luann's wedding! If Lu and Tom weren't such a hot topic, the last two seasons would be dead in the water. The fact that we don't see more of Beth's SkinnyGirl business life makes me think that Jim Beam took most of the cache and left her with the less prestigious part of the franchise. All we see them doing is dating, or gossiping about Lu's fiancee. Is this the best we have to offer? Sonja's fridge and house are a disgrace. I'll take my tiny little townhouse any day of the week. None of these women can be more than half Italian by descent - I was raised to believe you should be able to eat off your floors. Dirt and grime are the enemy. I'd never eat anything in Sonja or Carole's house. Sonja's house is full of pee-colored ice and dog droppings. I think Ramona's house smells about the same - laced with desperation over the fact that she still loves Mario. That makes me majorly sad for her. Not even in a schadenfreude way, I just find it genuinely tragic. And it's a bit disturbing that my Ashley furniture is in better shape than anything in Carole's living room. I practically live in the palace of Versailles compared to her. What is going on there? Adam should move out... for his own health and safety. It looks positively booby-trapped in there. Ramona and Beth have nice houses, but they're vile creatures to each other. Beth went so far off the reservation on Luann last year and now she flips her lid when Ramona asks her a bitchy question? Seriously? She's such a hypocrite. Did Luann get up and leave when you slugged the nastiest names on the planet at her in a temper tantrum the likes of which would have landed most women a smack to the face? No. Why does Bethenny feel she's so special and above reproach? I'm not saying Ramona was right, but Beth has done so much worse to people and she's trying crucify Ramona in the town square for what's a comparatively minor infraction. Her superiority complex is on full display. No offense, Beth, but you shouldn't call Ramona crypt keeper. She might look waxen but her face looks far more youthful than yours these days... Dorinda and Lu look fresh and fabulous, as always. Maybe Tom's a cad, and maybe Lu doesn't care, but she sure does look happy, and that is the best revenge you can have around this bunch. I don't get this argument. So because Beth lost her cool last season and went off on Luanne, that means she's supposed to just sit there and take verbal abuse from Ramona this season about something totally unrelated? Why? Ramona is just trying to get a reaction out of Bethanny. The very best (and most mature) way to deal with it is to not give her the satisfaction. I can't imagine that in every day life, if someone was being insulting towards you and obviously trying to start a fight with you, that anyone would give you grief because you walked away and didn't engage. In fact, most people would applaud you for your self restraint. 18 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269365

She had Luann living with her last year and was totally fine with her, so why is she being so passive-aggressive, and just downright aggressive, with Tinsley? I think it's that she is finding Tinsley a threat. With Luann she could feel that they were in the same boat. 50-something women trying to find that someone to spend the rest of their lives with - both having the same basic social circle and known to each and all for years. That Luann managed to get engaged is not something that Sonja expected (thus why Luann wasn't a threat). Sonja's nastiness to Lu last season all started after her serious relationship/engagement to Tom came to light. Up until then, Sonja could tell herself that her situation wasn't too bad, because Lu was in the same boat. Only when that changed did the aggression emerge. With Tinsley, I think she thought here would be this person who would be dependent on her and was as screwed up as she was. Instead she's got a 20-year-younger version of herself in the house, one who is going out with her own friends and even scarier to Sonja, making friends in Sonja's circle. And by friends I think we can assume she's most worried about the men. Tinsley is everything Sonja has to offer, just a couple decades younger. So she's trying to proactively bring her down and undermine her confidence. Tinsley is everything Sonja thought she could be. Sonja joined in 2009. The only thing that's improved for her is her bankruptcy. She's still in her falling down townhouse. Outside of this show, she doesn't seem to have much professional success. She doesn't seem to have any of the eligible bachelors swooning over her. And if anything, her reputation is worse. Additionally, Sonja's problem with her movie deal is she was busy defrauding the exact people had the money and connections to get her out of that mess. Tinsley is 41 and still young enough to transform herself. She seems like she's joined the cast with a plan and comes from a wealthier family than Sonja's. For all of her actual issues, Tinsley's parents won't let become a laughing stock. Tinsley's problem was that she was too in love with fame and she was/maybe still is boy crazy. 9 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269451

Chit Chat May 12, 2017 Share May 12, 2017 Quote Someone upthread mentioned that Carole should discipline her kittens by hitting them so that they wouldn't destroy the furniture which worked in the past for this person, but the thought makes me ill. I'm a cat person through and through. A non-hurtful swat on the cat's hind part is not a beating!! For the love of all that's holy, can we please not make the leap from a swat to a beat down? From her cracks about needing a passport to get to the restaurant for lunch with Sonja because she had traveled so far yet Sonja didn't have to travel at all and was late, to the blank menu, to how she handled delusional Ramona, I loved every minute she was on my screen. Ramona? Yikes. First she tells Lu that people are making bets on whether the wedding will happen, then says she is kidding. Then she moves on to people apparently calling her to ask if they should buy their tickets to Florida? The woman is a pathological liar. She seriously thinks anyone would believe that people who are close enough to Lu and Tom to be invited to the wedding would call her, someone not invited, to ask her opinion on the state of their relationship and whether they should purchase their plane tickets? OMG! Yet she wants to be invited so she can not go. Ramona really needs to hang on to her apple because with the way she is acting, I can't believe she has any social life outside of filming this show. I didn't mind Hannah this episode, but I do think she is young for her age. I don't think losing Richard as a step father has anything to do with that though. She was 11/12 when her mother married and they were only married for 6 years when Richard died so Hannah would have been 17/18. (Not sure of Hannah's birthdate and date of wedding but she was 22 in 2016). It isn't like Richard as step father was the only father she has. Her bio father has always been in her life as far as we know. In fact he was the one paying for the apartment she was moving in to and the furniture from what I remember. I think she is just immature as she has likely been coddled her whole life. I don't think Dorinda being a bridesmaid at 50ish is all that odd at all. As others have said, many women have two or three marriages by that age. What is odd is having a flower girl who is in her 20's. Lol. It was nice though to see some of Luann's family - I don't think I ever have before. She and her sister look quite a bit alike. I was also surprised at how good looking the count was in his younger years - he definitely did not age well. I also enjoyed seeing Dorinda's parents and sister. I was surprised as well that Richard did not have a large headstone. Is it normal to have two different markers? (Assuming there is another one?). It's not odd to have foot markers. Some cemeteries have a minimum required number of spaces for monuments and if just Richard and dorinda will be buried there they may not have the required number of spaces. 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269663

I'm surprised Luann is wearing a white bridal dress with veil. After all, one doesn't do that in a second wedding, especially if one is over 50. Luann was, after all, the grand dame of tradition and manners, especially the upper crust of which she is such a part of. 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269703

I agreed until she fiddled with and gazed innocently at her ring while asking Bethenny about "the ex" problem. Was there "more of a barrage of emails and nasty texts"? And how she knows that Beth is having a hard time and how she, herself, has witnessed behavior that was beyond bizarre. Whether Carole's thoughtful comments were made at Beth's behest or not, think of the kid, Auntie Carole and shut up. But she did look pretty in the talking heads while she was raking poor lil Byrn's daddy over the coals. 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269705

She's got a lot of room in that creepy basement. You may have solved a mystery. In an episode featuring deadly dull Cindy Barshop, Sonja was royally pissed that she "traveled all the way downtown" (her words) because Cindy had allegedly offered to take her to lunch and cancelled after Sonja arrived. I figured Sonja was annoyed because she didn't have enough cash for a high-end resaurant and was looking forward to some free eats. But now, in addition to a meal on someone else's dime, Sonja may have been planning to snick a salad fork or 3 and finish out that service for 24. Wire bread baskets, silver salt and pepper shakers, finger bowls -- those designer handbags of Sonja's aren't just colored with Sharpies, they're probably lined with foil to prevent stains from used utensils. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269765
ladle May 12, 2017 Share May 12, 2017 Ramona is an ass for bringing up the soft-core porn (and it sure as shit wasn't out of "concern") but Bethenny kind of doesn't have a leg to stand on (TM Aviva) when it comes to bringing things up "in the group" (i.e. on TV) when she was the one who confronted Luann with Tom's infidelity on camera. Dorinda's mom named her kids "Dorinda" and "Melinda"? I now know who Hannah reminds me of. I teach college, and Hannah is the epitome of "that student": the over-privileged white girl who perpetually seeks extensions on assignments for reasons of 100%-avoidable self-created drama. "Carole, you bring up my ex on camera so the world can know what a dick he is, but I can look like I'm nobly suffering in silence!" Richard, even dead, is a more "fascinating character" than Tinsley (though I did giggle at the "90210" story). Bethenny looked like a Batman villain at cocktails. 13 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269833

But the deal with Beth bringing up Tom's deal was very different, don't you think? The issue of his fidelity, or lack of, was a central part of the story last season. Lu talked herself about the fact that he was on a date with someone else and went home with her. There was talk of him giving his ex an expensive gift, and what if he wasn't done with her? Then all the stuff with Ramona and Sonja. Really, his fidelity was at the heart of the storyline last season way before Beth ever pulled out her cell phone with the evidence. 7 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269923

Simply a different style of parenting. I would never in a million years lay a hand on my children, while others do and tout the benefits. Someone upthread mentioned that Carole should discipline her kittens by hitting them so that they wouldn't destroy the furniture which worked in the past for this person, but the thought makes me ill. Different strokes for different folks. Completely agree. Especially about being Ill at the thought of smacking a kitten, I've had many cats in my life and would never ever "swat" a kitten, I'm glad you said that. I don't understand the comment about Bryn going through a bad divorce, does that mean she keeps clothes she no longer fits into or toys she no longer plays with? Every parent I know purges their kids rooms, if we didn't the rooms would be over run with crap. 4 hours ago, Mojoker said: You should try involving your son in the purge decisions sometime. Takes more time and effort for you, but teaches him to prioritize and organize. Children may technically have no possessions, and few decision-making rights, but they're still human beings entitled to an opinion. The few possessions I still have from my early childhood would have definitely seemed like garbage to my mother at the time, but each small thing has, for me, a very important memory and meaning attached to it. Is this really the place to try to tell somebody how they should raise their kids? You have your way other people have theirs, period. I don't know about anybody else but this is bordering on offensive for me. You think your way is best, that's great but its not the only way or the right way. Its your way. 15 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269929

Really, his fidelity was at the heart of the storyline last season way before Beth ever pulled out her cell phone with the evidence. I agree that the two situations are different in this respect. However, I still think the example from last season is pertinent. Bethenny's whole beef with Ramona bringing up the softcore porn is that she clearly didn't do it "out of concern" -- because, if Ramona had been concerned, she would have brought it up privately, away from "the group" (i.e. cameras). While I agree with Bethenny on that point, she herself did the same thing by showing Luann evidence of Tom's infidelity on camera, with seemingly no warning. If she had truly been concerned for Luann, she would have brought up the situation privately. And, yes, the infidelity was already part of the storyline, but only hints of it; B. took it to a whole different level. And I think she did that, at least in part (and maybe even subconsciously?) to humiliate Luann: a person she has not liked for quite some time. For instance, I don't think she would have brought up the situation on camera if it had involved Carole, even if that were the season's plotline. Just my two cents! (tl;dr Bethenny and Ramona are both shitty people. :)) 5 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/57131-s09e06-wishful-invitation/page/5/#findComment-3269968
