sleepyjean September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 Quote She keeps saying she loves Azan but she doesn't know what love really is. It fascinates me how certain they are about what makes the man/woman thing work, since between the two of them they have yet to have one single relationship that didn't end in spectacular failure. Quote Even if his income is very low by US standards, he will probably be able to help his family a lot. I don't know about that. I think he'll be to busy supporting Nicole. She's a barista with a 2 year old and no education to speak of. There's not going to be much spare income. And actually, now that I think of it, she's probably an ex-barista with a 2 year old. I can't see Starbucks giving any part-timer a 5 week leave of absence. Quote We all want someone to love and who loves us back in equal measure. Don't blame her for wanting that, just her methods of trying to acquire it are only to her detriment. What example is this for her daughter? I expect she's one of those people who - in the rare moments when she thinks about how her life choices affect her daughter - figures the best thing for a kid is for the parent to be happy. (If I'm miserable, how can that be good for my child!) Therefore giving herself permission to do whatever she wants.) Quote I can tell she has a pretty face, and beautiful skin, which is a marvel, when one considers her atrocious high carb, sugar, and deep fried diet. Anfisa also has really great skin. One of the things I find interesting about her is she's all about showing off what she's got - from the neck down. But she doesn't put in much effort from the neck up. Aside from the lip filler, she doesn't seem to put much effort into hair and makeup. Quote Anfisa is delusional if she thinks she could work as a model. Porn, maybe. Fashion modeling? What will it take for her to respect the custom? Azan being dragged off the jail? "Gee, I guess I shouldn't have humped him in the middle of the road" The stated reason why Nicole is over there is that K-1 visas aren't granted unless the couple has actually met in person. That seems like a fair rule. He can't get a visa to tourist visit the USA, she can visit Morocco without a visa. Here's what surprises me though. It's my understanding that the normal time from applying for a K-1 visa to granting the K-1 visa is around six months. So if this show is going to continue with Nicole and Azan in the USA, I think it would be six months or so after Nicole's trip. I didn't know that the show filmed couples over that long a period of time. Another point. Morocco is a Muslim country, but it's more liberal than some. It's not Pakistan. Unmarried couples sharing a room may technically be illegal, but my gut feeling is that no one is getting stoned for that in Morocco and the law may not be enforced at all. I suspect that Azan's claim of "I can't touch you I'll get arrested" is B.S. This is like Mohammed refusing to kiss Danielle at the wedding on supposed religious grounds. 3 Link to comment
Lily247 September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 As irked as I am by Ncole's antics, I don't thnk the way she behaved at Azan's family gathering was disrespectful. I think any 22 year old girl would feel very intimidated by a situation like that, especially that she couldnt speak their language yet and had a hard time communicating (does Pedro's meeting with family ring a bell?). It did seem very overwhelming. However, the cheating story is 100% fake. I am also growing more and more suspicious that Nicole and Azan are "actors" hired by TLC for some entertainment value. I think that Anfisa is actually a very pretty girl minus the fake lips. She has a killer body, surgically enhanced or not, and cold pull off the skin tight bare midriff dress but why in the world would she, or anyone, ever wear that dress to meet in laws ? Alla seems sweet but her story is very typical of nearly every Russian mail order bride I have met ( I am a female) and where I live there seems to be quite a few. They seem to have a primal need to find other Russian women in the small town they are located in and go clubbing .... and then they usually divorce their American starter husband, get a nursing or paralegal degree, continue with the clubbing, until they finally marry their end game and the clubbing stops. To make a point, the fact that Alla wants to go clubbing is not a good sign. Yes, married women can go party too, but the Russian women I have met who were in Alla's situation would go out every weekend dressed in tiny minidresses and 4 inch heels with their girlfriends sans husbands. Matt said that his buddy's girlfriend could go to a karaoke bar with her if she wanted freedom out, but she wasnt interested, she wanted to go somewhere she could "dance." And that is the red flag right there because now I see where this is heading. 14 Link to comment

fountain September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 The visa discussion is interesting. I will have to research it more as being Canadian I wasn't aware there were so many restrictions on tourist visas in US but getting a K1 was so easy. A wealthy business associate I have had to marry his wife in Cuba and it took him well over 6 months, maybe even a year to get her to Canada, she couldn't come as a fiancée. In some ways I feel bad for Nicole. She has such low self-esteem. The neediness and overt sexual information just show how damaged she is. She is now the parent to a daughter and will raise her with her same issues. Getting hugs and kisses from men doesn't fill what is lost inside. She needs to go to school and get a career and become happy with herself. 10 Link to comment
ethalfrida September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 Nicole is quite aggressive in pursuing what she wants. I don't see her as having low self esteem. When she told him to not push her away that was an order and she, as an American blond speaking to an African man, expected to be obeyed. She is used to getting her way. When women are aggressively sexual we want to categorize them as thinking low of themselves. This may be true of some and usually they are victims of some type of abuse, physical or mental. But some women are just plain sexual. Nicole is just plain rude with hers. She appears to be a very careless individual and very ignorant on top of it all. And one wonders if she thought ahead at all and packed the proper toiletries to match her game plan... 11 Link to comment
AmyBre September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 My guess is that Nicole doesn't meet the financial requirements. She works at Starbucks, none of her family probably want to co-sponsor with her and even the money from this show won't help. Of course the money from this show will help the lovers meet up somewhere else where he doesn't need a visa. Then she can nuzzle, kiss, hug, chew on him ALL DAY AND ALL NIGHT. Lucky Azan. Wrong. A barista could theoretically meet the requirements as the process only calls for the petitioner's salary to be 125% of the poverty guidelines. That number for 2016 for a family of two is $16.020. That means that a person needs to make 308 dollars per week to be able to sponsor. Also, if their income is not enough, immigration also allows you to use your assets. I doubt that Nicole owns anything but if their parents do and she is part of that household, then she could list of those assets and qualify. Link to comment
AmyBre September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 if TLC wanted these couples to succeed, they should provide a counselor, a therapist to help them have some important conversations. Even the poorest of the contestants wanting to desperately leave their country, needs to deal with being uprooted from their native country and leaving family, friends and their whole ecosystem behind. All for love?......When the love is true and the desire to make it is genuine, couples have a chance to make. But without that, plus the pressure of being under the microscope that is TV, it's just very hard. I'd like to see TLC actually taking steps to ensure that if a couple can work, that issues and required adjustments are openly discussed by the couple and their therapist. But as I said before, TLC doesn't care for the characters and only cares for the ratings. This is very irresponsible on the part of TLC. Once the first advertiser realizes this, good luck TLC. 1 Link to comment
Passthepopcorn September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 Why do these women want to be married if they are going to pout because they have to give up their "freedom" to go clubbing?? Alla: When she was saying "It is hard sometimes, I'm homesick", I thought she was concerned because she has too much time in her hands and needs something to do to keep her distracted from missing home and family. For instance a job, or English classes for her and her son so he can be ready for school, etc. (Even though I know she can't work yet). No, she was concerned because she can't do the things she used to do, she can't go clubbing. That is your concern?? That is your main concern? I like dancing too, but there are plenty of Zumba classes, dance studios... Just an idea. Chantel: Oh, Chantel. No codes. He says: What was with all that touching, touching? She said: But they were buying me drinks!! So.. you have to let them? Yep, marrying material right there. I'm not saying that being married means staying always at home next to hubby and not seeing friends, but a clubbing culture as a routine in your life kind of has to go. 9 Link to comment

Actually you count the sponsor, the fiance and all dependents (Nicole's daughter) so that would equal 3 in Nicole's case. That's $20,160. Starbucks pays just over minimum wage, esp in Florida, so even if she was working 40 hours a week at $9/hour, that is less than 20K. And something tells me she is not working 40 hours a week. Plus, you have to show three years of stable income. Her kid is 2. I cannot believe she has been steadily working for 3 years. I think this a bullshit TLC stunt. She wrote in, doesn't know anything about what a fiance visa is and requires, but Dani and Mo were a blockbuster for TLC, so they want to repeat something along the same lines this season. I'm just wondering if they will even make it through the season. I realize the participants are told not to go on social media to update, but Nicole wouldn't be able to stop herself if Azan was with her in the US or on his way so she would probably let it slip on social media Edited September 27, 2016 by poeticlicensed 6 Link to comment

And that is the red flag right there because now I see where this is heading. I can totally believe this. Ya know, everybody knocks TLC for showing such trash, but underneath the trash is a very good lesson that most of us here never even thought about. In this case - "90-Day Financial" or "The KY Visa", which is too funny - it's about how cold people really can be when they honestly believe they can use their sexuality to get whatever they want and have no conscience about actually doing so. And it's both the Americans and the foreigners who do this. The Americans (male or female) are trying to buy their fantasy partner, who is far hotter than they could expect to get here at home. But the foreign partner has a different agenda, and that means there's an awful price: That partner isn't there because they love and adore the American who bought them. When they say they're in the USA for A Better Life, that means a better life for THEM - NOT for the spouse. We've seen it again and again, and it sure looks like Alla is going to do it, too. As wacky as this show is, there's far too much truth in it to simply be dismissed. I've seen a couple of incidents IRL that could have come right out of this show and if the show makes more people aware of how the system really works, then more power to it. And I say more power to TLC. They've actually done a great job of letting the Duggars and the Browns (Sister Wives) demonstrate for themselves how fake and hypocritical those families really are and how their purported wonderful lifestyles are really extremely damaging to all involved. Bring it on! More, more! I want to see a polyamory group, or some suburban swingers, so we can see what that's really like too. Can't wait! 11 Link to comment

I don't know how strict Morocco is about such things, but out of simple respect for local custom shouldn't she have worn a veil? Or at the very least long pants? I dreaded she would strip down to a two-piece on the beach. Agree. I didn't expect a veil. But how about a tunic and long pants (linen pants maybe, since it is so hot), or a maxi skirt and a 3/4 sleeve top. So many combinations that any occidental woman can easily wear without feeling untrue to oneself and show some deference to a Muslim family in their own home. Canada got rid of Fiancé visas so it's marriage or nuttin (or common law marriage, that works too) 1 Link to comment

I think it would totally count if a Muslim woman did the same in the eyes of their culture. If Azam was a woman and married a promiscuous Occidental man for a green card she would be shunned by her family or she would not be able to marry in the Muslim culture after divorce. As far as I know. They'd look the other way if a Muslim man did it. I hope I'm wrong, but I don't think so. 5 Link to comment

It was the beach scene, with the close up shots of her butt, and frolicking on the beach, leaping into Pedro's arms like it was a Summer's Eve commercial. Anyway, the person filming them is a massive perv. Anfisa is delusional if she thinks she could work as a model. Porn, maybe. Nicole was really seemed proud of herself that she found a guy that would have sex with her, and that she could rub Azan's face in it on national tv. The girl is socially delayed. Hiding her face in Azan's shirt is something her 1 year old daughter would do because that is what little kids do, but not a 22 year old adult. Bwahahaha at the Summer's Ever commercial! Yes, I thought the camera person was fascinated with Chantel's ass. 12 hours ago, Gabrielle Tracy said: Aren't there any posters on here who speak Arabic? I would LOVE to know what Azan's mother REALLY said when she met Nicole. Same here! I don't know if they are fake or not, but Azan seems like a decent guy for the most part. Although, I'm convinced he tells her that he loves her so she will STFU. Also, I'm wondering if Nicole forgot to pack shampoo. It doesn't look like she's washed it since she's arrived (we won't think about the swamp vagina (and ahahha to the person who coined that!). Dear Azan, you can find someone so much better to make party with. At least Matt's friend's wife (gf?) was kind to Alla. Poor thing needs at least someone on her side. Anfisa continues to rule. 1 Link to comment

The invitation letter from a US citizen basically saying that they'll take care of the visitor during the stay (transportation, home, food, etc) so they don't have to go and find a job in America is only one of the bizillion papers the visitor will have to present to the US Embassy. They will have to prove that they have a life in their own country (bank account, job, family -preferably children-, property, you name it). They want to see they are tied to their country and are not candidates to try to stay in America after the visa expires. If you are young, have little money, unmarried, no important job, and from a less than first world country, good luck getting any US visa. That may be Alla's sister situation... 1 Link to comment

I sure thought it would be Nicole & Azan, and sure hoped it would be, but maybe it's one of the others? We haven't seen wedding shots of any of them, have we? We've not seen hide nor hair of the black couple. I'm thinking they don't make it for whatever reason. I don't like Patrick, Matt's friend, because he said something about jumping in with both feet, not caring about being on his best behavior. Dude, how about being polite to people you don't know, or do you inquisition people you meet for the first time on the street? Nicole hanging onto Azan during the family meal was embarrassing. She's clingy, needy, possessive and jealous. Not looking good. Chantel has the same mouth machinations as Lauren from last season. I did an OMG when they arrived at Club La Vela, or Club Velveeta as we call it down here. This is a place that gives away free boob jobs to anyone who can prove they need one. Chantel needs to cool it off with the drinking, she's not looking good. I wonder what her family thinks after watching all this? Jorge -- you're still an idiot. 4 Link to comment

What kind of future can she give her son? Matt, even with his problems, may just be her way out for her and a better future for her kid. Matt lives in a nice neighborhood and that surely has a good public school. For a parent, that may be enough to do a lot of things. Alla needs to worry about two futures at the same time, hers and her son's. . If I was a single mother with little or no reasonable choices in my native land, I will go to a place where similar immigrants can make a life for themselves. and she's from Ukraine, right? Wasn't that taken over by Putin? Who knows what is going to happen there! Seriously, he knew he was going to have to speak with her family, and he didn't even really bother to learn. Even when he got off the plane he was still speaking to her in Spanish. Pedro is blah to me and I don't know what his deal is. So I'm not trying to defend him here, but... How much time did he have to learn English? I had studied English for years before coming here and, even though it was British English, people told me it was very good. Or at least, very good for someone who had just arrived. (Mind you I had nothing to do with a K1 visa). So even with that level of English there were certain accents, or people who spoke too fast, or used a lot of slang that for the life of me I couldn't understand. Pedro has zero English. There is no way he could have learn that fast and be able to be fluent enough to have a conversation, let alone a conversation at the table with 10 people. Too confusing. They spoke Spanish at the airport because that is the language they used at the DR when they met. I didn't find it weird. I do agree though that I'd be concerned about him finding a good job. Even in FL. 2 Link to comment

seacliffsal September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 I don't see Nicole as insecure, I see her as completely self-centered. The 'coy' looks she makes are totally for attention. And, she made it Azan's responsibility to figure out if she's sad or mad, and then it's up to him to fix it. Anybody who talks about sexual cheating on t.v. is not shy, and, again, acting shy is solely for attention-the others will pay more attention to her and make her the center of attention. She demands attention from her parents (and much of it may be due to her child), Azan, and probably everyone she meets. So far, even her confessionals are just about her and she is beaming while she gives them. 12 Link to comment
ThinkerBell September 27, 2016 Share September 27, 2016 If Nicole is going to use a computer as a Dating Machine, you would think she'd take the time to Google social mores and etiquette in Morocco. Did she pack any clothes giving some thought to modesty? 1 Link to comment

I dont know what Pedro is thinking but he seems almost as comfortable as her (almost). Chantal was also inebriated half the time. Tends to loosen you up. As for her outfits, it seems more about wanting to be an object of attention than anything to do with sensuality. Ditto for the vertical lap dance she was performing in the club. In just a few weeks Chantal has established herself on national television as a liar, a drunk and whatever the word is for someone who likes to grind her ass against the groins of strange men. Maybe finding out she's engaged isn't the worst thing her father will discover about her. Edited September 28, 2016 by millennium 18 Link to comment

She's had a lot of cosmetic work done and has an impressive wardrobe of expensive designer clothes. Where does all the money come from? I see on her FB page semi nude photos shot in very expensive hotels. Also some photos of herself in other places in Europe. I would guess that she probably has a history of being a high end escort. I wouldn't be surprised if she also has done porn in Russia and Eastern Europe. A shady lady with a dubious past. And I don't believe for a minute she's 20. 8 Link to comment

Thirty plus years ago, I visited a country where Islam is the majority religion. We weren't told that we had to cover our heads and arms, but we were told to dress respectfully; I wore a lot of linen dresses and skirts and I was very comfortable, probably more comfortable than Nicole looked in her jeans. On my last day there, I saw a woman wearing a pair of bright, yellow leggings (it was the 80's) and one of those Flashdance tops, yes she was American. I felt sorry for her because people in the street were pointing at her and laughing, but she acted like she didn't even notice. I mean we weren't expected to wear burkas , but there is a lot between wearing a burka and having your behind and breasts hanging out. 11 Link to comment

Offer him post flight swamp vagina. 2. Whine constantly. 3. Be needy. 4. Refuse to try delicious ethnic food. 5. Admit you don't like and refuse to eat any vegetables. 6. Cling and whine some more. 7. Act like a little shit when you don't get your way. 8. Don't cotton on that your behavior is embarrassing. 9. Kiss and tell. 10. Risk getting him arrested because of your behavior. 11. Show no concern for your daughter during your absence from her. 12. Looking like a ham sweaty mess. I think that covers it.
