Yeah. That's where I put my very precious possessions--the bathroom.

I've spent a lot of time on Pinterest lately to get ideas for renovating my half bath, and I was surprised at the number of bathrooms that were filled with pictures and knickknacks. I'm sure Amy is huge Pinterest fan so it doesnt surprise me that she would would have a precious moments in her bathroom.

(I like Pinterest, but so much of what I see there seems completely removed from reality/practicality, especially the home stuff, unless you have no children/pets and a cleaning staff that follows you around).

It's all about the vanity of sharing the photo...it goes downhill from there.

I don't understand, you ask your followers for their opinion and then get mad when they state the truth. I liked Amy before all of this nonsense. I will say, I told her that her cat is illegal in many states. Savannah cats are way too hyper and need lots of room.

maybe she can get Jackson Galaxy to do a show on My Cat From Hell.

Maybe he could do some kind of special crossover with some marriage show. Because in this case I kinda expect that the accurate title would be  "My Cat, My Wife, and My Husband From Hell."

Saw Amy and her husband on Bootcamp.  It seems to me that they contrived their lack of harmony for some good old tv time and the check.  No doubt all is well.  I'm trying to envision myself doing that.  It would be painful, but, judging how many semi-celebs do it, it must pay pretty well.

Famy totally lived up to her name on tonight's episode of Bootcamp (I forgot all about it, ate dinner, saw the DVR was recording, and voila! there it was).

At any rate, they staged one partner as having died in a car wreck and had the other partner read their supposed last text to the dead person. So, Famy had to play dead. You'd think that after what DUI Dill went through with his wreck, she'd take this halfway seriously. But no. She couldn't even play dead for Dill to do his "therapy." She opened her eyes and started giggling uncontrollably. She couldn't even act for the five minutes this exercise took. It just showed me how seriously she (and Dill, who didn't seem into it at all either) are taking this whole experience.

Money grab, plain and simple. Even the pregnant (but not annoucing it) bachelorette and her consort are doing a better job of pretending they have conflict. I'm only watching for the inevitable blowout, because it's coming; they're just letting a couple other couples have their turn first. I want to see them fake fight with tons of cussing from the girl who wanted to just "go to bed and pray" after the exercise. Yeah girl, I know you packed your bible aside your 30 changes  of clothes (for 10 days of bootcamp and maybe 2 days of talking head filming) and 10 pound makeup bag.

She was with a pretty hot baseball player at one point, but I guess he dumped her so it was DUI Dill or bust.

They have a Savannah??  I think a fish is too much for these people.  Wonder how close to wild it is?  These require a certain person to have them.  My husband used to do work at a house with 2 Bengals and they needed to be kept in a large cage at night due to their rambunctiousness.  I would like one but I am too lazy.

They have a regular domestic short hair cat too who's probably almost 1 by now. They have no idea how much work that cat is going to be.

I'm happy to see Jordyn smiling and having fun .  I can't help but notice Marcus's filthy dirty sock bottoms. Those tiles must not get scrubbed often.

I think we'd be more likely to give them a pass on this if we knew they otherwise kept an immaculate home. Little boys are grubby as a general rule. He could have run outside in his socks or gotten dirt is his shoes..Anna has always done a decent job of keeping her kids clean.

I feel sad to see the little girls almost always inside and doing things that help prepare them for their lives of mothers.  Pulling niece and nephew in a laundry basket.  I'd rather have a kid pulling some blocks in a wagon in my house on my floor.  Or pulling some empty bottles to a bin outside.  Anything but dragging a laundry basket with kids in it.  Just gets on my last nerve.

Know what's even sadder? The girls are kept inside it do Susie Homemaker stuff, yet when they grow up and marry, they STILL CAN'T COOK, CLEAN or manage children.

THIS is what boggles the mind. Romanichal and Traveler daughters are taught from a young age all about proper ways to clean and cook and are taught by watching their mothers how babies and small children are tended. Like the Duggettes, all they are trained to expect is marriage and motherhood, but they seem so much more domesticated. These are also insular communities with strict purity rules, but these girls are at least prepared for marriage in some capacity.

Something has been on my mind lately and I wanted to put this out there...

Grandma Mary is a real estate agent, right?  She and Grandpa Duggar supposedly owned (and GM still owns, supposedly) several properties that they rented out.  The mold house being one of them.

Keeping this in mind, I wonder why Jim Bob and Michelle had to rent, then live in what amounts to charity housing until the TTH was built?  I wonder why the Grandparents Duggar didn't "help" JB and M the way that Smugly, Jill and Jessa were/are?  GM "allowed" Smugly and Jessa to live in the house she owns (rent-free from what I've heard), so why not JB and M?

I may be way off base here but I'm curious.

It's because they're not doing it due to Biblical rules. The older girls inherited all the Susie Homemaker stuff at a very young age because Michelle had a breakdown. She wasn't able/willing to actually take the time to teach the girls how to do things, so their skills are self-taught and were just enough to keep from being punished. Since curiosity and self-motivation are actively discouraged in that family, they've never progressed past what they learned as little girls. As for the Lost Girls, I'm pretty sure they haven't been taught squat about anything. With Joy getting married, the best Johannah is going to get is a cleaning rag, a spray bottle of cleanser, and directions to the boys' bathroom with orders to clean it. Their meals seem to consist of frozen crap reheated in the oven or microwave, so they're fine there.

I don't think Grandpa Duggar approved of Jim-Bob anymore than Jim-Bob approved of him. I'm betting Jim-Bob gave him a bunch of preachy lectures about being financially stable and living within your means, so Grandpa figured he would let him do just that.

As I think most parents would do/do. If a child considers himself/herself old enough to leave home and get married, then it's up to them to pay for it.

I have often wondered what Grandma Mary thinks of this circus. Like Miss Cathy, I'm sure she has to look the other way and keep her mouth shut if she wants to see her grandkids.

Seeing Michelle looking like a zombie and seeing little Josie and the lost girls dirty and unkempt must really stick in her craw.

They did own the Johnson Rd. house, ie, the one that was knocked down to expand Cross Church, Springdale. That money went into the TTH.

Latest from Marriage Bootcamp: Famy bounced on a tramp to avoid her parents' fights. Apparently, she went to "private school" at some point, and she said she had to keep up. I bet that's where she met Dillion and the Story families, but she didn't say how long she'd been in that environment. I think she's claimed to know Julie Story since they were kids, but maybe Dill didn't come into the group until later. At any rate, Dillion was a spoiled bitch who was/is always concerned about his appearance. They did kid roleplaying the campers, the "neck" thing wasn't part of this exercise. I figured it would be with a Parent episode if at all. The neck thing must be really be the couple, because it wasn't Dad, or they would have roleplayed it on this episode.

Sad that they're even on the show. A kid from dysfunctional parents (quelle surprise), and a rich kid.

Isn't this pretty much the template for most trashy reality shows? Add school bully/mean girl who think life is still high school but now  with bank accounts...vapid selfie queen...control freak...failure to launch...granola chick, hippie, pervert on the make...feral children all dirty and hungry...oh, wait...

This is the first time I've seen this show (at all, I've now seen 3 or 4 episodes), but the other couples (save the Bachorlette and her consort) are pretty fucking scary. Famy's childhood problems are at worst Middle Class White Problems. The other white couple (who didn't disclose a pregnancy while she was filming) are pretty much I CAN'T OPEN UP TO YOU!!!!!! Upper Middle White Class problems. The other people had some serious childhood shit; the exercise was watching you talk as yourself in the depths of your childhood and link it to your current mate.

Josie's a mess. I guess Michelle's lost interest in her Miracle Child.

She really looks terrible. My beautiful niece had an awkward looking time with crooked and missing teeth, so that never helps, but she does look sickly and unkempt.  Something about the eyes. Hope her belly looks like that because she stuffed something under it, not any GI problem.

Yep, poor little mite.  I want to scoop her up and take her away from that madhouse. She'd have fresh fruit and vegetables every day and I'd fix them so she would want to eat them. I'd play with her and pay attention to her and make sure she was getting finer skills down...and get her the help she needs to address any challenges...they just birth them and after that don't seem to care anything about their children's intellectual enrichment. She looks so fragile and delicate.

If all three were poking out their bellies to look pregnant, no doubt in my mind the Duggars would include that in the caption. They did when Jill and Izzy had 'babies in their bellies.'

Josie looks to me like she has some sort of bloat from an allergy or intolerance - lactose, gluten, etc.

  • Love 2

Yeah, though little kids often have roundish bellies, this looks bigger than anything she could have "pushed" out to make her look like her sister...that's a very bloated look even if you factor in her maybe copying the pregnant stance.

because kids and lids are not synonymous, and neither are took and look

It's definitely off...unless she stuffed something underneath, but it would lumpy..looks like gluten or lactose intolerance.  We know Josie won't get treatment for it. I only pray it's not ascites; that's always bad news.
