I realize that babies are different, but Freddy just looks so teeny compared to Zade. I said in my OP that he would likely take after his father. 🙂 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/1305/#findComment-7586994

dargosmydaddy August 8, 2022 Share August 8, 2022 Newborns are so squishy and changeable that they can look like almost anyone from one minute to the next. That said, baby Freddy and baby Sam do look a lot alike! As for non-baby Israel and non-baby Sam, Israel may be Derick's mini-me, but there are some pictures of little Jill floating around where her face/ expression look just like Israel's. And I've always thought Sam resembled the Duggar side (not Jill in particular, but a lot of the Howlers when they were younger). But you can still tell Israel and Sam are brothers. Genetics are fascinating and weird! 4 4 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/1305/#findComment-7590671

Now that they've moved she might try Oklahoma. Their requirements might be easier. That CPM exam she passed is a rinky dink thing and her course work was geared for her to pass it. satrunrose August 14, 2022 Share August 14, 2022 I'm not going to read too much into Jill's failure to blue. Her size is probably changing a lot right now and she may have decided not to spend money on a blue dress that will probably be too big in a few weeks just to match with a theme. As a side note, I'm not a fan of making party guests wear a specific colour. It's enough to ask that they're taking time and spending money to buy a gift, it doesn't seem fair to make a clothes requirement other than be clothed and be appropriate to the occasion (obvious exception for costume parties). Plus, because everyone's wearing different shades and materials, it just looks weird in photos. 7 11 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/1305/#findComment-7599530

Same here. I find her information useful. I had pain and nausea intermittently for several years. I thought it was heartburn (having never experienced heartburn, I assumed that’s what it was). I would take OTC heartburn meds and after 15-20 minutes, the pain would subside. I ordinarily would have asked for medical advice, but I didn’t have health insurance during those years. Eventually, I had an attack of vomiting and pain right after eating that I knew just wasn’t right and went to the ER. Dr Google told me it could be pancreatitis. As it turned out, I did have gallbladder pancreatitis, which can be very serious. After 2 days in the ER, I finally got an inpatient bed, then surgery to remove my gallbladder. I was hospitalized for a week (cost - over $100,000 and would be at least twice that today). Anyway, if I had read a post like Jill’s before it became an emergency, maybe I would have gotten treatment earlier. I hope her post helps others. Lady Whistleup August 20, 2022 Share August 20, 2022 Im glad she has insurance and went to the hospital. I relate to her because last year I just had an on/off UTI that never really went away. I was told over and over what to do, and nothing really worked. Finally they gave me a hardcore regimen of cipro that ... caused a horrible case of C diff. I was told in the hospital that womens' general pain/discomfort issues are commonly ignored by medical doctors. 2 2 15 1 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/1305/#findComment-7610637

Jill not only was careful to not call her information medical advice; but the actual advice she gave was very medically sound and reasonable. The kind of stuff an actual medical professional might provide. BTW, pregnancy is a common time for gallstones to develop. The hormones in pregnancy, like estrogen and progesterone are broken down into cholesterol by the body and cholesterol is what gallstones are made of. It's also why all pregnant women have elevated cholesterol levels and therefore cholesterol testing should not be done for screening then. Many women with gallstones will find that their attacks increase dramatically in the postpartum period and needing a cholecystectomy at that time is not unusual. Mountainair August 21, 2022 Share August 21, 2022 My mom just had her gallbladder removed a month ago at 62. Drs were surprised she hadn’t noticed any symptoms leading up to the attack because it was so bad off. But, women like my mom and myself tend to work through any aches and pains they may have and chop the symptoms up to something else (something I ate, lack of sleep, etc) so I can appreciate the advice and I am trying to be more in tune with my body knowing that it could happen to me too. 6 3 Link to comment https://forums.primetimer.com/topic/4651-jill-derick-the-kids-moving-on/page/1305/#findComment-7610835
