Celia Rubenstein August 31, 2015 Share August 31, 2015 Everyone who knew it was only a matter of time before Reformer's Unanimous started to pay for associating with the Duggars, raise yer paw! I think we've got our first "mainstream" press story ... Radar Online has started the ball rolling with this little tidbit: http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/josh-duggar-rehab-sex-secret-pastor-charged-sexual-assault/ The story is about the Schaap church minister guy who hooked up with some young chick he was counseling and got sent up the river. This was one of the stories included in that blog I liked the other day. There were a couple of other sordid tales therein, and I imagine ROL will be putting those up in the coming days, milking it for all it's worth, lol. Boy, are they gonna regret letting Puddin' in the door! Do not ask for whom the cow bell tolls, RU ... it tolls for thee! 14 Link to comment

Seems Ben's father has had a change of heart about Puddin! http://radaronline.com/celebrity-news/josh-duggar-sex-scandal-family-lashes-out-ben-seewald-father-slams-wicked-evil/ “It distresses me to say that Josh Duggar’s greatest sin is a byproduct of the sum total of his secretly sinful lifestyle. That is, that by his hypocrisy, he blasphemed the name of God. He claimed to be a Christian, but by his deeds he has suggested otherwise,” Michael, a devout Christian, writes in the shocking August 31 post. “With the name of God on his lips he lived a covert and extensive lifestyle of evil.” Michael, 40, who previously defended Josh when he confessed in May to molesting young girls as a teen, admits he was wrong about the father of four. “After hearing of Josh’s scandal when he was a teenager, I publicly stated that Josh appeared to be a changed man, was walking above reproach, and living out the faith that he professed,” he explains. “I stood in solidarity, encouraging him to use the scandal to build humility and grace. Sadly, he had deceived us all… Josh was a pretender.” “As wicked as Josh has been, and any other sinner, forgiveness can still be obtained,” he says. “The consequences of Josh’s sins will be with him the rest of his life, but by true repentance and faith in Christ, he may have eternal life.” Here is the link to Ben's father's blog, for those who want to enjoy the rest of him ripping Josh a new one http://seewalds.com/grief-shame-and-taking-the-lords-name-in-vain/#more-434 1 Link to comment

Yolapukka August 31, 2015 Share August 31, 2015 Anna does need to answer some tough questions. No, not right at this moment, but she is part of an entity which spreads the lie that if women are modest and sexual available that their husbands won't cheat. Essentially the message of their religion is that the reason the rest of us are such "cheating bastards" is because wives are not doing their Godly duty to their husbands. Oh yes, Anna ought to be thoroughly grilled over all this. She cannot have it both ways; she is not entitled to play the "perfect wife", which in their religion translates to faithful husband and then not have to answer some real questions about it. I don't believe she should, She needs to shut her noise-hole. They all do. Especially when it comes to the crackpot drivel about female propriety and responsibilities. Hard questions are an unproductive notion as nothing will come out of it other than confirmation of what we already know and yet another chance for these fruitcakes to disseminate said drivel. 1 Link to comment

Jacob was a cheater. Peter had a temper. David had an affair. Noah got drunk and had sex with his daughters. Jonah ran from God. Paul and Moses were murders. Gideon was insecure. Miriam was a gossip. I know she's married, but she's still "only a woman" to Jim Bob, nonetheless. A woman can't be trusted alone. A woman must have a headship to keep her in line. I have no doubt that Anna is living at the TTH so Jim Bob can keep a close eye on her at all times, lest she get the crazy idea that she's not a doormat and wants to divorce Josh. I bet they're hastily trying to reprogram Anna and quite possibly blackmail her into staying with Josh. 5 Link to comment

I think that there were a few people in the church who knew what was going on (hence Alice), but as to everyone else? I am betting that they said that Josh was impure with some girl at bible camp or something. Josh himself had a very big thing about how he used to struggle with temptation online. That's right, Josh Duggar (and his church) considers child molestation and incest to be "temptation". Let that one sink in for a minute. 12 Link to comment

Anne Elk September 1, 2015 Share September 1, 2015 (edited) I don't think the Duggars are so much blackmailing Anna as using her to blackmail Josh. They would dearly love to cut him loose but after the criticism they got from the last scandal, they're worried that it would look bad. So they get control of his wife and kids, tell her she can stay with them and they will get Josh the prayer therapy he needs or else he'll become a hopelessly addicted sinner and she'll have to leave him for the sake of her soul. Meanwhile they tell Josh this is his last chance, he will go to the rehab they chose and refrain from boinking anyone while he's there, or he's shunned and he never sees the kids or Anna again. That way, both Anna and Josh are supposedly making choices and doing what they want to do, but they still end up "choosing" exactly what works out best for JB & M. I don't want Anna giving any interviews either. No matter how odious her beliefs, she didn't ask for any of this and it's not her fault. If people can't look at what's happened in her life and come to the obvious conclusions about how wise her choices were, then nothing she says is going to get through to them either. CarolMK September 1, 2015 Share September 1, 2015 (edited) One detail about this whole mess that I'm not quite clear about is the part where Josh first starting looking at porn, presumably at age 13 according to everything I've read. This means the Duggars had the internet around 2000-2001. Our family didn't go online until 2000 and it was the old dial-up phone line, I'm sure it was the same for the Duggars. With 13 kids in the house plus Jim Bob and Michelle and only one phone line, when did Josh have time to look up porn, especially with the strict rules that were put in place? That part doesn't make any sense to me. And how did no one know what he was up to? Then later on, when he got married to Anna, did she not have any clues at all that he might be viewing porn or have any idea of all of what he was up to? Josh didn't have an affair with a co-worker or even a casual friend..he went looking for somebody to hire, not even a genuine dating site, from what I've gathered. He basically stalked this stripper online and then decided to track her down? That in itself is pretty creepy. Edited September 1, 2015 by CarolMK 1 Link to comment
