You can google Las Vegas shows to see who is appearing what days.  I really am aging myself but I wanted to see Barry Manilow but he wasn't on that month.

Now I wish I would have seen Donnie and Marie just for the giggles.

Forgot to add--watch out for panhandlers and such along the strip.

Neon graveyard??

Isn't it sad that I would like to experience a Las Vegas buffet?  And doing anything with a Margarita is always relaxing:)

It is The Neon Museum (770 Las Vegas Boulevard North, Las Vegas, NV  (702) 387-6366 )

The best buffets are at the Bellagio, the Wynn, or Le Village Buffet at .Paris Las Vegas.

Most of the hotels don't let you into the pool areas without paying if you are not a guest.

Make sure you drink a lot of water.  It is the desert, and the humidity is normally below 10%, so you don't realize you are getting dehydrated until it is too late, especially if you are drinking alcohol.

The fountains at the Bellagio go off every 30 minutes in the afternoons, and every 15 minutes at night.

There are lots of shops at The Forum Shops at Caesars, and at the Fashion Show Mall, across Las Vegas Blvd. from the Wynn.

(I live in Las Vegas.  The temps have been around 100, and will get a little higher during the next week.)

Have fun!

You can also check Tix4Tonight for 1/2 price show tickets for the same night. (http://www.tix4tonight.com)

Oh, I am so a tennis shoe girl.  Even when I lived in San Francisco, I walked to work near Pier 39 from downtown and I wore sneakers with my work clothes.  The purse I plan on taking has to be zipped or else everything falls out:)  I would like to walk around at night.  I love to look at city lights!

If we are asked about shows, I will mention Cirque de Soleil.  Just from what I have seen online, they look amazing!  And I want to wander around hotel lobbies and look at stores or whatever.  I love to browse and see what is out there.

And regarding Krispy Kremes, I could never figure out the big deal.  People would bring them back from the "big city" to sell for fundraisers and they tasted like a regular glazed donut.  Then I moved near one, walked in and had a hot one right off the conveyor belt - OMG!!!  Now I totally understand the fuss.  However, I didn't realize they had other flavors - the chocolate covered glaze donut with cream filling, the pumpkin spice and if you can find it, the baked chocolate donut - those are the bomb:)  Later I moved again, and I ended up taking 2 dozen asstd donuts to my new job and the employees were like, Krispy Kreme has other flavors??!!

Thank you so much:)

We saw "O" at the Bellagio! I highly recommend it! We lived in Southern CA and went to Vegas frequently either for work or just to hang out. I'm not a gambler but there's tons to do there. The bars at The Cosmopolitan hotel are James Bond themed.  The New York New York has The Chocolate Bar, dunno if you drink martinis but they are all candy bar themed there. The MGM has great comedy shows and get to Caesars Palace early to get in line for brunch.  The pools at the Aria and the Venetian are fabulous - not the crazy party pools of course, those are gross. The Venetian has one pool/bar that's 1920s themed. There's the High Roller (the giant Ferris Wheel), there's the sights at Fremont Street Experience  (hopefully you won't have kids with you as some of those sights are just wearing body paint), there's a zip line at Freemont Street too. Outside of Vegas, there's tons of hiking (someone mentioned Red Rock-definitely check that out), Hoover Dam, helicopter rides. My mom is dyyyyying to see a concert there, so that'll be next our list of stops the next visit. Have fun!

**edited to second Donnas recommendation about the shops at Caesars!**

I really appreciate all this info - writing all down in my little notebook!!!  And I would love to see Donny and Marie:)  I'm just glad there is more to do and see than the casinos.  I totally forgot about Hoover Dam.

And @EricaShadows, you are out near my neck of the woods.  And tennis shoes for sure:/

The Neon Museum is awesome. It's an outdoor collection of old hotel casino signs with an interesting tour. A good friend of mine works there so I've been a few times. Another place close by is the Mob Museum, also interesting. You can walk to the Fremont Street Experience from there.

So some updates!!

I made it through boot camp and made it through cuts to cheer at both the pep rally and the first game! I also have some serious abs going on atm and I've built such a great sisterhood (and we have a brother!) With the girls I cheer with. Ive been MIA because our schedule is so crazy--

We workout every single day, run a mile every day, and still have about 2 1/2-3 hrs of practice, but it's all really worth it. Now to get back to DCC because I missed so much

In case there are any other Packers fans here, that game last night was insane! I had lost all hope when it was 0-20 at half with Rodgers out... but that guy is just insane. Still cannot believe they came back to win with all 3 touchdowns being in the 4th quarter

I recently became obsessed with B&B works candles. They smell SO much more than Yankee Candle which is really surprising! I think Yankees used to smell better back when I was younger

I missed the game, but read about it this morning. Those are the best games to watch. Wish the Cowboys could play like that.

I am a tart girl here, especially from Yankee Candle. I have like every room with one or two wax tart burners .  My fave all time....    Pink Sands, Comfy blanket -discontinued though : (    ,  tropical smoothie, there is like a lemon and sage or something like that.  Now I want some sherbert!

Pier 1 used to have one that was the smell of the ocean, rain and fizzy pop - it smelled like drinking a 7-up while playing on the beach.

Has anyone ever used the Scentsy wax melts - is the smell supposed to be so subtle when they are burning?  It's great, just wondering if that was normal.

I wish flameless candles could be plugged in, though. They just burn through batteries. (Those micro-lights, too) But I do like scented candles as well. Which is to say I have both. I am shameless.

Same! They have the best fall scents. I haven't compared BBW to YC though, but it seems like YC has much more variety. I do frequently hear that the candle throw isn't as strong as the BBW candles and that they aren't as strong.

I’m a candle lover as well. B&B’s Tea and Lemon candle is probably my favorite fragrance. Another good brand is Tyler candles. I actually think the scent is stronger in those candle. I find that the scent really travels throughout the whole house.

The ones I have in my windows actually do come with plugs, so that's really awesome, because you're right, they go through batteries like crazy.  I have 8 altogether in my windows, so 16 batteries would be crazy to go through.

I love the music on this show. I'm on a huge Meghan Trainor kick right now. I LITERALLY would never hear her music if it weren't for this show; just not my typical taste.

No Excuses;  Me Too; No ✅✅✅

Other goodies:

Jason Derulo/Get Ugly

Pharrell/Come Get It Bae

Calvin Harris/My Way

iTunes has my money ♥️??

As a country music fan, I would never have heard this - Jason Derulo/Get Ugly.  I love the song but what I HATE HATE HATE is that every time I hear it I get an earworm.  So, here I am, little miss 50+yo corporate accountant bopping around singing that.......now, people, I am telling you, that's ugly :(.

No, he should have evacuated. Right now, Wilmington is an island. No water, no electricity, no way in or out. Just because it was a cat 1 does not mean it was ok.

I’ve always been entertained by the amount of Calvin Harris that gets used on the show through the years...iTunes gets plenty of my cash too!

Had a bunch of weird dreams last night, including one where I was in Training Camp and we were somewhere watching Yuko give a demonstration of her martial arts skills, but it wasn't at the studio or even at the new location someplace.  It was in a completely different location.  I do remember that the person who had organized the display said Yuko was supposed to be extremely skilled in her discipline.  Anyways, we were all watching her and gathered at one side of the area and part of another.  Kelli was standing somewhat apart, but still nearby.  I was off to the side and had sat down to start stretching.  I thought I was completely out of the way until the organizer stopped Yuko and told me I was in the way, what was I doing, etc.  I immediately got back up, but I could see Kelli frown and shake her head and knew that I was going to get cut at the soonest possible point and possibly not allowed to ever come back.  The last part of the dream I remember was thinking of all the ways I could exit Training Camp gracefully before being cut.

It was a combination of weird and normal which was unnerving, especially given all the other snippets of dreams I had last night.  I might have slept hard, but I don't think it was restful.

I like the ones who admit they used the pageants to get scholarship money.  They got their degree and never looked back.

I agree, that's great.  These national pageants have always been touted as scholarship pageants (not sure where the bathing suit part would come in, though!) and it's fantastic that many women are actually using them for that purpose.  I've always wondered, though, if they had just saved up all the money they and their families had spent on pageants for all those years, they might have been able to pay for college themselves?

What you are all saying in the other threads reminds me of all the talk at the Olympics.  Remember when ice skaters performed figures?  Boring to watch, but was a great way to teach them the basics and improve their technique.  And now, it's all quads and salchows and jump, jump, jump with hardly any artistry, unless they are performing at an exhibition.

My daughter loved figure skating when she was younger and we'd watch skating videos together on YouTube.  She loved Elaine Zayak, Surya Bonali, Tanya Harding, etc.  But when we watched video of Olympic gold medalist Peggy Fleming, she was all like, "I don't like her.  All she does is wave her arms around."!

The girl who does my hair just got into Avon and I actually really like that one because the products are affordable and she's not shoving it down my throat every time I see her.  I order what I want, when I want, and it stops there.  Their eyeliner is fantastic.

I like Avon too, especially the cute little stocking stuffers that come out every year.  But I'm like you; I order what I want and just go on my merry way until next time.

I hope I'm not offending any LuLuRoe fans here, but that company brings MLM brainwashing to a whole new level!  My friend hosted a party (another friend of hers was selling) and she straight out told me not to worry about buying anything and there would be wine.  I showed up and this woman had set up racks and racks of these clothes with hideous patterns.  The biggest draw seemed to be the "butter soft" leggings and people were clustered around that table oohing and aahing over the supposedly rare patterns that were available there.  I found out later that it costs about 6K to get involved in selling LuLuRoe and you get no say over the inventory that they send you to sell.  Still, though, there were several ladies at the sale who were interested in opening up their own shop.  Now, those same ladies are selling off the clothes trying to recoup even a small percentage of the cash they put out.  But at least the wine was good.

I didn't watch the game (mainly because I don't have cable and very little interest in watching football), but I'm torn between being proud that my Seattle Seahawks won (I'm from Washington State) and wishing that the Cowboys had performed better to give themselves SOME sort of chance at catching up in terms of score.  Obviously, I don't know all the details because I didn't watch the game.

Ugh, the Cowboys. What a mess. They dropped the ball today more than I have ever seen.

I was at the game yesterday and this is so true! I had to giggle at Earl taking his bow as well. So curious how how contract will shake out and if he does get traded to Dallas or KC. I think KC would be a better but personally (if he leaves Seattle) but don’t see him getting along we’ll with Jerry. But we’ll see.

I went with a dear Dallas friend who lives in Seattle now (she rocked a Witten Jersey and some fabulous boots!) The Seagals were super fun to watch...I really do think they’re one of the best squads out there.

There were also a ton of Cowboys fans, more than I’ve noticed for any other Seahawks home game. Could be because the colors blend, but still. Definitely America’s team! We chatted with a lot of peeps who had a story about growing up military and a DCC or player visit on a USO tour touched their heart, another guy who went to see training camp as a kid and had a good experience, etc. And a few visitors from Dallas too ??

I’m a bigger Hawks fan than Cowboys fan so had a blast. And a bit of a sunburn...full sun the entire game, it was bananas.

Not sure I picked the right two Seahawks games to attend this season since I had to miss the Chiefs home opener, but excited to come back in December against the Niners.

Whoever said Dak was a one and done was correct. I want to think otherwise, but this team is playing poorly. Bad plays executed badly.

I wasn’t a fan of Romo but he became pretty great when he wasn’t injured. Big mistake to let Dez go.

I was just talking to my BF last night about this, he's a Pats fan and I'm a cowboys fan. I attribute Dak's first year success to Elliott being fanfreakingtastic and having Romo in his ear helping him. I really think they should have kept Romo on as a QB coach...I know being an NFL analyst pays more but still =/

He’s a great analyst for whatever channel he signed with...can’t remember which. He’s gotten high marks by everyone. I’ve watched two games he called (is that an analyst-?), anyway, he did well with his insights and shows he knows his football.

No, analysts don't make more than players.  During his last year playing football, Troy Aikman made 7.5 million dollars a year.  As an analyst for Fox, he made 1 million a year.  Tony Roma's salary at CBS is "classified", but if he did not retire, his salary for 2017 would have been $24.7 million.
