Melissa breaks ground on her new boutique while Jacqueline catches up with pals Dolores and Siggy in the Season 7 premiere. Also: Jacqueline hosts a cocktail party and shares a secret message; and Teresa returns home to her family.

I am interested in how the ratings fare for this show.  I have a small group of friends and we were talking about if we were going to watch and not one of us is.  Although we might be in the minority.

I am out.  I have watched every version of the Housewives, every episode, since the start of OC, and I have deleted NJ from my tivo.  I refuse to reward Teresa and her actions by continuing to watch her on tv.  I don't know why Bravo decided that they had to hold off on production until she was out of the pokey, and that she was the main draw, I'd have continued watching if they had dropped her.  Since they opted to bring her back, they lose me as a viewer.  You don't get to walk out of prison and right back into the life you stole like you were on a spa vacation.

I would guess a little over 2mil total and a 1.0 in the demo.

I quit watching regularly about two seasons back, and then stopped watching altogether during the last season.   I caught the preview last night and I might give it another chance.

Spoiler

Jac is back, which is by no means a draw for me because I was happy to see her go in the past, but her friends have the potential to keep me amused.  In particular the one with the new cosmetic surgery who was sipping soup through a straw while wearing a babushka

...yeah, I'm definitely watching at least the first episode.

I'm curious to see how Teresa and Melissa interact, now that they're supposedly friends. I'm also curious to see who the villain/s are this season, because if T and M are really going to be tight, then that means T can't be the villain.

I am in. I am a sucker for any of the Real Housewives. Hell, I watched the Dallas version. I am one of the very few that dislikes Jac far more than Teresa, so I am curious how the season and the new ladies pan out.

Me too.  I'm actually returning to watch the show after taking a couple seasons off.  I couldn't stand the bitterness anymore and had to take a break.  It's the promise of a friendlier Guidice/Gorga storyline that's peaked my interest. Plus, no Manzos!!!

After watching the first look, I wish Jacqueline were gone as well.  Is Dina still on the show?

I'm with you, I will not watch and support this show any longer. This is a well written commentary about the Guidices and what they did. http://www.allaboutthetea.com/2016/07/10/teresa-giudice-lives-luxury-lifestyle-despite-owing-14-million-to-stiffed-creditors/

I considered watching (haven't been able to stand the last few seasons) but just now did allaboutthetea's tour of Milania's closet and I am OUT!

I can't stand that entitled little brat and her little tour reminded me of Tre's oh-so light sentencing. I imagine some of their creditors would love to be paid instead of seeing the Cavalli boots and Vuitton bags etc. tossed in a child's closet that looks bigger than many whole bedrooms.

These people continue to disgust me.

I'll give the first episode a shot but that's it. This is my least favorite housewives show and I'm unabashedly Bravo's bitch. But I can't take the nonstop fighting over family stuff and who slighted who. All the series have that element but these people are actually related. And they're willing to ruin their family relationships to whore themselves out for fame and money.

Also Jac's schtick is so tired. I just saw a preview and it's the same crap for the last few years it was on. If you hate Tre so much, stop talking to her and get off any shows that feature her. Caroline is beyond grating but she could walk away. I get that she has her own crappy show but it doesn't have the draw (and therefore the money and security a housewives show has). Jac can't stand to lose the fame.

Funny how some people are so adamant about not watching yet here they are reading and posting on the RHONJ message board.  I don't get it.  I'm watching!

I gave up watching all the Housewife shows long ago as I find them all gross. That being said they are an addictiction I can't completely overcome. So I come hear and read the boards to know what's going on without really getting my hands dirty by supporting them.

I enjoy reading what others think but that doesn't mean that I have to help support the Guidices by watching the show.

The main reason I came to "read" is because I was honestly curious if the viewers were still behind them or not.   I absolutely refuse to contribute anything to this cause...tv shows,  wine or whatever and will do my best to stick to  my guns on principal alone.  I watch most of the shows regularly (not Atlanta or Washington or wherever it was recently, and Dallas after a few episodes) and enjoy it a lot for the absurdness of it all.

I enjoy the  house porn and clothes and trip locations but have to deal with middle school  behavior.  I have grandchilden under 10 who are more mature than most of these women.  A couple of the women are a hoot to watch/listen to but still.....at bit absurd.

In the case of New Jersey, I refuse to support a couple who relentlessly continued a way of life they could not truly afford and managed to take down some hard working  small businessmen and who knows how many more.  To have Bravo glamorize this situation is just deplorable to me and I won't even go into the effect on their children.  They will all need therapy in the future I fear.  If  Bravo changes some of the people, I would be willing to give it another chance, but I doubt that will happen.

Jac already has me rolling my eyes. Gurl bye.

Naked Joe in the shower. No.

New people. Don't care.

Ugh. I actually felt something warm in my ice cold heart when Teresa was back home with her girls. WTF?

I just watched the first episode because I was curious to see what was going to be different and what would be the same.

different: I was surprised Jaqueline is back. I think she's just on there to be the shit stirrer, she seems crazier than usual. I don't like the two new women, not interesting, so much plastic surgery. Boring.

Same: so much focus on Tre, I figured that. Bravo is their only source of income. The homecoming was so emotional, it shouldn't have been filmed. Those poor girls. Not surprising Melania is acting out. And Joe Gorga is still a horn dog.

According to the previews of the season it looks like a lot of screaming and fighting . I think I'm out for good.

So boooring. Jaqueline seemed not as drunks as she was normally. Everything other than Teresa was a giant snooze fest. She deserved her jail time, but it was sweet to see those girls reunited with their mom. I'm also a little scared to see that Milania is still so nuts, because my 5yo is exactly like her.

Melissa's new nose looks really overdone.

Don't feel bad. I got misty eyed when Tre was reunited with the girls too. I really feel for those kids. Not their fault their  Mother is a piece of trash.

Theresa looked really pretty in her coming home scenes. She should tone down the make up and hair more.

Also, why are the girls still in school on December 23rd? I thought schools were out the week of Christmas.

Wow!  That Theresa is a great American war hero and she's home!  Thanks for your service and fighting to keep us safe!  What?  You didn't just come home from war? You're not an American hero?  You're an ex-con that just got out of prison for stealing from people?  Oh. Never mind....

Was not happy to see Jac and her bratty daughter back.  Jac is still a whiny trouble maker.  Nothing's changed there.

The Giudice family is as entertaining as ever and Milania is still as crazy as ever, lol.  All the Giudice girls have really grown and they all look great.  I cried when Teresa came home.  No matter what anyone says about that family they really do love each other.

I don't really know what to think - I'm torn, because I loved this show in the first few seasons (at the time, it was probably my favorite).  I watched because I was curious, but I'm conflicted.

The reunion scene with Teresa and her daughters was emotional, and I agree - it probably should not have been filmed.  Gia is so mature - she gives me the impression that she has grown up and she was the "mom" to those girls while Teresa wasn't there.  Milania is no longer cute, imo.  They need to get her in hand quickly, before she is completely out of control.  It's not funny anymore - it's disturbing.

Joe Gorga is, if this is possible, even more annoying.  Does he really think that anyone wants to see his naked body?  He's a 40-something, sort-of in shape (but not really) guy - no one wants to see that, except for Melissa.  He continues to embarrass himself.

No opinion on the new girls yet - seems like they'll be more screechy than Nicole and Teresa were.  Just so glad that asshat, Jim Marchese, isn't on, but I do miss Rino - I loved that guy!  :-)

Jacqueline decided to come back for no other reason other than they need the money.

In what alternative universe do Bravo producers live that they would think any of us would be interested in seeing Joe Gorga's naked blurred body? Gross

I felt sorry for the girls but Gabriella looked like she was thinking "yea mom glad you are back but let me go to school, get as educated as possible so I can get a job far far away from this place".

Great tats Joe Guidice has. Why is he spending what money they have on this and not putting away money for his kids?

Chris Laurita looks awful in his TH. I don't know if he got Botox or what, but I couldn't quit staring at his forehead and eyebrows.  Hate that he and Jac are back, only for money and shit stirring I'm sure.

The Guidice reunion got to me as well, those girls were so happy to have their mom back.  The innocent children always lose in situations like this. (Although, like a poster above I question Gabriella and Gia having to go to school...does NJ not take off the week prior to Christmas?)

Not sure I can make it all season, but what can I say, Housewives is a guilty pleasure.

Well, I'm in central jersey. Kids had school on the 23rd, but it was a half day. Then vacation started...

He does look awful.    Like a beaten man awful.

Melissa looks awful in her TH too.  The hair is awful on her.

I really don't want to hear about how much Joe Gorga wants sex.  It's annoying as hell.

I do feel bad for the Guidice's kids.  Milania is a terror but I can't help but find myself amused by her!

Nope - schools in New Jersey usually are in session until 12/22 or 12/23, depending on the day of the week Christmas Eve falls on, and then, they are back in session on January 2nd.

One thing I noticed with the Gorga's was when Melissa said Joe wouldn't be used to her working out of the house in her new boutique. But.....She did try to have a singing career a couple seasons back and didn't he build her a recording studio in their house? I know that didn't go anywhere.

And wasn't Tre and Joe's father ill?  That was one of the things she was crying about when she went to jail. He looked pretty good  And healthy to me.

Chris is not aging well.  Plus, weren't they in all kinds of trouble business-wise?  Not as bad as Teresa and Joe, but weren't there some tax liens against his apparel business and didn't they almost lose their home to foreclosure or something?

Plus, wouldn't you look beaten down if you had to deal with Jacqueline every single day?

I know a lot of people don't like the Tre and Joe but I would totally watch a show just on their family.  I don't need any of the other housewives and their drama.  The Giudices are more entertaining than any of them.  Of course they'd have to wait for Joe to get out of the slammer.  Sorry but that guy cracks me up.  When he was saying he felt like he was in a war the past year taking care of the girls I laughed because they certainly are a handful!  Prison must be like a vacation for him after that experience!  He went from his home of 5 females to a prison filled with men.  It's certainly a change.  You'd definitely have to throw Rosie in their show.  Rosie and Joe are comic gold together.  The Giudices and Rosie.  Yup.....I'd watch!
