I want to be excited for Catelyn and this marriage but unlike her I'll never get over how shitty Tyler has been throughout this relationship. The back and forth with the engagement, the hoops he always made her jump through for his affections and of course it all started with threatening to break up with her if she kept iCarly.

They are not America's sweethearts. Catelyn is a sweetheart and Tyler is America's douchebag. I would have been ecstatic if Catelyn had walked down the aisle and unleashed hell on Tyler threw that bullshit ring at him and then partied like a rockstar at the reception.

She'll spend this entire marriage trying to prove to him he made the right choice.

Bentley is a handsome little guy, and Jayde(ugh the spelling makes me stabby lol) is adorable! Maci may get on my nerves, but she made some cute kids.

Anything will be too overwhelming for Amber's lazy ass.

Here we go with bitch Farrah, her bratty, demonic, very not-cute daughter, and blaming her mother for Sophia's behavior. What a dumb ass. I can't with her.

  • Love 8

I'm really starting to not want to watch Farrah's episodes - it's very hard. The limo driver looked so uncomfortable. Sophia will NEVER respect her grandma if Farrah constantly belittles her. I just can't - the nerve -_-

What's up with Nova only wearing a diaper in that restaurant!?

OMG - Butch's speak MADE ME CRY!!!! (minus the "shut up, bitch" lol wtf)

Quote of the night- "I"m sorry for being the guy I was, when I was.... That guy". Eloquent as usual Butch.

I couldn't even begin to make myself care about Maci and Taylor's T-Shirt company. Every week it feels like MTV just pulls shit out of a hat and makes an episode of it with those two. Mud run, vegas, T-shirt company... We get it, you're boring.

Matt and Amber house-flipping feels like some bootleg HGTV shit.

This episode is 90 minutes? I don't know if I'll survive, the dullness is putting me to sleep.

I love the kudos Maci gives herself....look at all we've done in the past year....we bought a house, we had Jayde, Bentley's playing baseball (um...wtf?), I have a job in the career I want to work in (I thought she had a job at a check cashing place)...at our age!

Maci...hon...you do realize all of that is because of MTV and nothing you've done, right?

You mean not all teens who have babies are given money, tv shows and other resources and connections to people in the entertainment industry?!

Seriously. When Tyler said something like "If I ran away, you'd NEVER be able to find me" it didn't even sound like a joke.

Cate's moment with Teresa was nice, even if I think their relationship does more harm than good.

That sounded like a man who had thought about all of his options.

I thought Teresa was very sweet, and it really showed what a genuine, real relationship the two of them have. It was like Teresa was talking to her daughter, or little sister.

On a very shallow note, I'm side eyeing thay white dress, Teresa. Yes there's some gold and it's knee length. But I still would have gone with a different dress. (It was very pretty, though and she did look nice!)

  • Love 12

I'll be damned. That wedding made me tear up. TYLER made me tear up. It was actually very sweet, and it made me believe that there is genuine love between the two of them. However, I personally don't believe that love is enough to keep two people happily married for life. It's one of the most important things, but there has to be a degree of compatibility, as well as respect for each other and a willingness to make their relationship a priority. I don't think Tyler respects her as much as she deserves.

BUTCH WHAT THE FUCK YOU CREEPER. Way to exactly what they told you not to.

April meeting Carly was sweet. What the fuck was with creepy Matt standing in the back? It's like he can tell what scenes will be aired, and he angles to get himself in the shot. Then moves on to tell Taylor to propose from the heart/haht.

Tyler dropping that ring means something. And that kiss was wack.

Not even church tongue. There's no hot bedsheets action happening there.

Tyler having a "Best Woman"?...just sayin

I was also a little thrown by best woman. Did not see that coming.

I actually laughed at the ring drop, but I actually love when quirky little things go wrong at weddings. I think it's kind of endearing when couples can laugh at the tiny flaws in their wedding day. I will agree that the kiss was lame. Like it was meant to be a peck on the cheek, but they both missed and wound up kissing on the lips by accident.

  • Love 4

Why did Tyler's sister feel the need to throw Butch under the bus during her speech? It is no secret that he is a habitual fuck-up so there was no need to be tacky and mention it during what is supposed to be a joyous time for C & T? Oh, and why is her daughter named Lexis?

Why would I expect Maci and Kail to put some thought and effort into their wedding attire?

Maci, why are you writing a book? All you did was get knocked up as a teen and not do much since!

I can't believe that feral little demon stuck her tounge out at her grandmother...actually, I can.

SO Deborah lost her job behind Teen Mom or was it Farrah's porn antics?

  • Love 15

So, the kids are finally married.  The wedding was a little gaudy and ostentatious for my taste, but I thought April looked like a million bucks.  Her dress was gorgeous and her entire look suited her.  Teresa is so sweet with Catelynn.  I'm convinced that their relationship would be much more stable if Tyler weren't in the picture.  I don't think Brandon and Teresa have much use for anyone in that family aside from Catelynn (in small, controlled doses) and I certainly don't blame them for being reluctant to meet the rest of her wackadoo family.  Butch knew he wasn't welcome to approach Carly, but of course he did it anyway.  Carly's parents are wise to stick to their guns re: showing the kids' faces, etc.  If Carly hadn't unintentionally become a quasi-public figure, I don't think there's any way the adoption would still be open.  It probably should be closed at this point, considering Tyler's blatant disrespect for their rules, but the court of public opinion would eat them alive if they tried to do it.  (One last wedding note: I hated that Tyler visibly struggled to pick up and carry Catelynn into the honeymoon suite.  That poor girl.)

As for Maci and Amber . . . meh.  Maci is "almost finished writing her book?"  Haha, okay, honey.  Taylor wants to "retire their parents" with the sales from his leather-pocketed t-shirt company?  LOL, alrighty.  As for Amber, she is a damn fool for trusting that shady asshole and involving herself in money matters and house flipping with him.  The fact that he doesn't even have a job would be more than enough justification for me to throw him overboard.  I guess she keeps him around because someone needs to fix breakfast for Leah if she's going to eat before noon.

Okay . . . Farrah.  She is absolutely repugnant.  I'm not usually affected one way or another by things I see on TV, particularly shows on MTV, but oh my God, the way Farrah treats her mother is horrifying.  During her scenes, I find myself staring open-mouthed at the TV without even realizing it.  I'll be DAMNED if I'd stand there and allow my grown daughter to speak to me that way, especially not in front of my granddaughter.  Farrah has intentionally created a situation where Sophia feels free to stand side-by-side with her mother and openly mock Debra.  She's using Sophia as a bargaining chip and a way to put the screws to her mother.  Debra needs some distance from Farrah, but she'll never, ever stand up for herself.  She appears to be content to whine, cry, and attempt to reason with a monstrous bitch who cares about no one but herself.  None of this is to say that Debra is completely innocent (far from it), but when she allows her grown-ass daughter to repeatedly humiliate her on national television, she has to start placing the blame squarely where it belongs: onto herself.  I was born in the late 70's, so I missed most of that whole mid-century "spare the rod and spoil the child" era, but I assure you, my mother would have kicked my effing ass if I had EVER spoken to her even half as badly as Farrah does to Debra.  I wouldn't have blamed her either.  At the end of the day, Sophia had the best suggestion: if her mother absolutely must sashay overseas for a full month for dubious reasons during her formative years, just hire a babysitter and be done with it.

I've gotten the impression that Tyler is much more receptive to Butch in his life than Amber. She seems like she kind of wrote him off emotionally. The dig at him actually made me snort laugh. Sorry but I'm not a Butch fan, and if I had a parent like him, I doubt I could ever be as forgiving as Tyler has been. Butch is a douche. He uses people. He used Kim, April, Tyler&Catelynn, MTV (I don't think it's a mistake that he met Amber and Maci on camera) and countless others. He gives zero fucks about anyone but Butch. I know he has a large following like Barbara and had a similar set up web show thing, but he doesn't even come close to my Babs. (I also have plenty of criticisms of Barbara, but that's another thread!)

Is Lexis pronounced like Lexus the car, or like Lexi with an s at the end?

That was beautiful.

Ok, so Amber's speech as shown was completely inappropriate. However, they edit heavily, so I will give her the benefit of doubt. Maybe she tied the Butch slam into praising Tyler for being a strong presence to lean on, on how Cate can use that in their lives ahead, yada yada. Or something. Anything more than the awkward mess as shown "Butch sucked, Mom was great, happy wedding!"

Butch telling Bintley he watched him on TV, then adding "from jail" had me laughing tears. This family has no filter on what is appropriate to say in public!

As a child of an addict, I understand Amber's frustration but that IMO, that just was not the time and place to mention Butch's transgressions.

I believe it's pronounced Lexis like the car..urgh...poor kid.

  • Love 4

Butch. Butch, Butch, Butch. Damn you. Just when I thought you really meant it this time. You won't change. You couldn't even respect the one thing they asked of you. They're never bringing that little girl around you again. It wasn't enough to be able to see her, he just HAD to bust over and speak to her. No thought at ALL to the stress it would bring Catelynn and Tyler on their wedding day. His impulsive addict brain will never make smart decisions. Only immediately gratifying ones. No words. (Well, no more).

Debra: "Jerk"
Farrah: "Don't be saying that around Sofia"
Sofia: "Jesus Grandma!"
Debra: "Don't say that baby goo!"
Farrah: "Well stop causing it."
Sofia: "Don't say bad words to people."
All: "bickerbickersnakesbickerbickerstopitbickerbicker"
Driver's face: "Shoot me, please."

Farrah in Doctor's office: "I see some things in my mom's bipolar behavior that causes Sofia to be more aggressive." "Her snippityness and selfishness is driving me crazy."

Me at home: "But ... but Farrah is ... she ... KETTLE!! KETTLE KETTLE KETTLE!!"

Damn I can't even renovate a full kitchen for $25K, never mind a whole house. And what in the holy hell do either of these arsewipes know about flipping houses? Amber has never even owned a house! The house is $31,000 ... so let's offer almost 50% less. No insult there. And no surprise it wasn't accepted. *eyeroll* I'll bet they spent zero time researching the housing market, comps, budgets ... ay yi yi why do I try and apply logic here? As my husband would say, you're looking for the plot in the porno.

Oh Maci you minx. Your name isn't on the company...would that be the company you're promoting on your show? And you know very well who is going to pay for the site and whose social media will promote the site. #teenmommacitees

That Taylor is stealth but he finally made his move. These dumb-dumbs have been on the air for years and have pimped other people's crap. Finally one (well, one mom-adjacent character) is smart enough to take advantage of the platform in a real way. Kudos.

Not super excited to see Sofia in what would already be short shorts, but then they're folded up even higher to be cootchie cutters. While wearing a face full of makeup and painted nails. And completely inappropriate conversations in front of that kid ALL. THE. TIME. Geeze Louise do the completely bad decisions ever stop with this chick? Oh my god. I'd suggest they show her the tapes of her daughter's behavior when she does these things but she'd just blame Debra.

I wish I would stick my tongue out at an adult in my family, or one of my kids had towards my mother or grandmother! If we ever dreamed about doing it, we'd better wake up and apologize. It wouldn't even be a thought. That said, the baby talk and Debra acting like a 2 year old when it happened didn't help.

My gosh. Catelynn looks like a middle aged woman sitting on that bench. At 23. Girl, it is too early to be giving up. And that's messed up, but seriously. The entire trip was ABOUT THE WEDDING. Forget everything else, the ONE thing you make sure of is you have your dress and everything that comes with it before you leave! How do you not know your veil is missing until a couple of hours before the wedding? AARGH, AARGH, AARGH!

These girls are bad for my pressure. Let me say something good to take away that energy. Um... Catelynn and Teresa. So very sweet. April and Tyler's mothers' dresses - stunning! They both looked beautiful and those dresses were probably the best they looked in their life. Umm... I do like how the men (and even the boys, hey Nick) are so free with their tears and showing of emotion towards one another. Carly, Teresa and Brandon dancing with Cate and Tyler. Got my allergies all up. *sniff* Umm...yeah, that's it.

As a child of an addict, I understand Amber's frustration but that IMO, that just was not the time and place to mention Butch's transgressions.

You're right about that, it was definitely inappropriate. Sometimes I laugh uncomfortably when something awkward happens, and when they flashed to Butch's WTF expression, you could tell it was probably hella awkward in there at that moment. It was poor timing though, and it also came across as more of an "Amber" moment than a "Amber and Tyler" moment.

That was beautiful.

Ok, so Amber's speech as shown was completely inappropriate. However, they edit heavily, so I will give her the benefit of doubt. Yeah, no question on where Amber got her tact from. Speaking of that inappropriate family and hilarious speeches, I liked Kim saying Catelynn showed up at 13 and just never went away. We've speculated that she's not all about Cate (even though she's been very kind and relatively gracious) and this relationship, so that was one of those "it's funny because it's true" jokes.

After watching some of the earlier 16 & Pregnant/Teen Mom shows w/ Farrah, I feel like Debra & Farrah have completely switched roles.

The only possible reason I can think of for Farrah being in a true position of power is money.  Which doesn't really even make sense because Debra & Michael were (or seemed) far from destitute when they lived in Council Bluffs.

But Farrah is the most vile, disgusting, piece of trash to cross my screen in a long time.  And what she is doing to Sophia is child abuse, plain and simple.

Farrah is foul.  Foul.  Foul.  Foul.

Debra & Michael need to walk far the hell away from that poor excuse of a human.  Staying at this point is just enabling.  #freedebra

  • Love 17

What in the hell is wrong with me?! Before the episode I'm reading about some of you tearing up watching the wedding and I'm rolling my eyes. God damn it I cried like a damn baby. Nick got me started when he cried and said Cate looked pretty, then when she started walking down the aisle I was seriously crying.

I wasn't expecting that at all.

I was even flashing back to their 16 and Pregnant episode.

  • Love 17

I'm now questioning EVERYTHING in my life because I almost got the dress that April was wearing for a wedding that I was the Maid of Honor in last summer. Does that make me weird? I'm in my mid 30's and I really, really loved it, but I didn't want a long dress. It had a short slip underneath and then the lace skirt was long. April looked very pretty though.

Farrah... No words. Only disgust and anger.

  • Love 8

... Farrah has intentionally created a situation where Sophia feels free to stand side-by-side with her mother and openly mock Debra.  She's using Sophia as a bargaining chip and a way to put the screws to her mother..

What a stark contrast between the Farrah scenes and the wedding tonight.   Catelynn's heart  is so full of love that she actually comforted Butch - she's forgiven them all and then some for things I would have thought were unforgivable.   And all the love that girl puts out into the world came back to her in tonight's episode; all those family and friends that showed up because they love Catelynn (and Tyler) and are happy they are happy.    I think Maci, Amber and Kail would have come even if it wasn't being filmed and we know there isn't a whole lot that gets Amber off the couch, much less a drive to another state.    Like another poster, I was flashing back on the 16 and Pregnant  and early TM episodes that were full of heartbreak and a home of horrors and was genuinely moved at how different her life is and the people around her are today.

Meanwhile, Farrah is still completely alone, still ordering her father around, still treating her mother like shit, and unsurprisingly, still friendless, Oh and still cries without tears.  Farrah is miserable and so is everyone around her.

Sometimes the editors on this show make me nuts but flashing between the wedding reception full of joy and love and happy people with Farrah trashing her mother in her mother's own creepy house kind of said everything.

The worst part is Sophia is taking it all in - Farrah is not only teaching her how to treat a parent, but how to alienate everyone around her too.   I don't think Sophia would ever cry because someone she loved "looked so pretty"  ala Nick.  Nick, who was lucky enough to find refuge from April with Catelynn.   Catelynn is the reason Nick  seems like such a sweet boy.

Catelynn's makeupis really...harsh. Has she been a goth girl all this time and I just didn't notice?

Oh dear. She looked terrible. For an evening wedding in a whorehouse, maybe. For an outdoor wedding, in the daytime, in the fairytale setting they chose, a softer look would have suited her better. Catelynn's coloring is very peaches and cream so why she decided to go all 20's vamp I'll never know.

Why does Debra's house look like a cross between Hoarders, an estate sale and a thrift store? There are literally random end tables/weird ass tables piled with knick knack junk just randomly scattered throughout the kitchen and hallway. No wonder they are screaming at each other...they are being buried alive by tacky.

I was transfixed by the stove hood with all the silk flowers and leaves festooning it. Guess Deb doesn't flambe much. the whole thing would go up in an instant!

I've gotten the impression that Tyler is much more receptive to Butch in his life than Amber. She seems like she kind of wrote him off emotionally. The dig at him actually made me snort laugh. Butch is terrible. He makes everything about him. Rehearsal dinner? He has to get up and make a big speech about himself. Wedding? He has to go and talk to Carly even though he was asked not to. Butch will be back in the slammer within a year. You heard it here first.

Farrah. Oh my god. I keep thinking she can't get worse. Then she gets worse.

Bintlee looks just like Maci.

Amber and Matt are going to flip houses?? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA. That is the best laugh I've had all year. Does Sleeping Beauty realize that means work? Long hours of back breaking work? She and Matt sounded like an episode of House Hunters--I guess that's one thing she does all day, binge watch HGTV. I just kept waiting for them to say things like "I love the crown molding" or "these windows let in a lot of natural light"!

I know Debra is crazy but good fucking god Farrah was vile tonight. I'm officially starting a kick-starter to fund my plane ticket to Austin so I can personally fight Farrah and knock some sense into her plastic skull. Please donate to this worthy cause.

OMG, there should be a warning before posts this awesome. I almost choked on my oatmeal when I read it.

For real, Farrah is evil. Debra is nuts, so is Michael. And wow, with Farrah dolling up her troll looking daughter with more make up that an average Vegas showgirl would wear. WTH? I realize it is dawning on her that the Lil one inherited some less than attractive facial features but putting piles of makeup on is not changing that. I guess we should be glad she hasn't scheduled her toddler's first plastic surgery yet.

And yes, I realize I am headed directly to hell for talking about a little kid but then that little kid opens her offensive little mouth and I'm like, Gloves off! The only thing I can say in her defense is that with that ridiculous family she has, she didn't have a chance in hell of coming out normal.

  • Love 8

Also, I'm from the lovely suburbs of NJ where a simple ranch house with not much of a yard in a good neighborhood is going to run in the $300Ks. Is this a thing? Can you buy houses for $18K?

Right?!?! OMG, you could not get a crackhouse in Trenton for $18k. We are definitely living in the wrong state. Not that I would move to Indiana. I've been there- Not my cup of tea.

Is Lexis pronounced like Lexus the car, or like Lexi with an s at the end?

He's 100% user of people and substances. I saw some wedding photos he posted and noticed his Twitter handle is ButchBaltierraMTV. Now you're no damned teen mom, why the hell do you need MTV as your tag? Except to milk this thing? They want to know why he's come around about the adoption? Because he had no idea how long and lucrative this thing would get in the first episode where he read them for filth for being terrible people who "gave their baby away." Now his only regret is that there wasn't a Teen Mom franchise around when Amber or Tyler were born that he could have profited from. From a TV standpoint, he's terrible...ly entertaining in a WTF am I watching/what will this ass do now? way. Much like Debra. In reality, they're both awful people, and Butch is the absolute worst.

Now Barbara is a little different IMO - yeah she wasn't mother of the year or a very nurturing parent, but she definitely seems to have learned from her many battles with Jenelle, and she takes good care of Jace. Is she cranky sometimes? Yeah. But so what, she's at an age where she's earned the right to be. And Jace doesn't seem worse for living with loving but occasionally cranky grandma. No more than most of us were scarred by spending time with cranky grandma every day while our parent was at work/whatever.
