Part of her unhappiness at this point probably stems from the fact that she doesn't even pretend to have a husband/partner. If it weren't for the television show that pays the bills, she would most likely never see Kody unless they happened to run into each other at the grocery store. She has no idea that her unhappiness stems from poor self esteem that was cultivated within herself and the polygamist culture. At her core she doesn’t see herself worthy of a loving, fulfilling relationship with a man. And her situation is deserving of empathy—except for the ironic fact that she’s selling herself as a health coach. We’ve been round and round as to why, be it because Kody pushes her (because she needs it the most) or for tax reasons. It’s just so STUPID and they can’t see how damn stupid it looks, unless the intention is to make Janelle look stupid (which it does). She’s had years now. I don’t know where Janelle lives in Flag, but I lived there and have run from one end of town to the other; there’s always a trail or quieter area nearby (no need to drive). Unless it’s a certain trail she wants, there are options. I agree with the “excuses” comment; she’s full of those along with her poor food choices. I wondered to myself, “self, what do I need to do to get a 4500 sq foot house like the other ones? We made it work using all the rented furniture we had. We ate and ate. One of my favorite things this time of year is candy corn. I can find myself plucking one at a time from the jar and just grazing on them all day. But sadly, I then get a tummy ache and dig through the cupboards to find my magic potion of peppermint tea. It really is a game changer when I overindulge. I thought about getting up early today to take a nice walk, but it was too chilly, so I made myself another cup of tea and then it dawned on me, why not kick it up a notch and add a few candy corns in it. Wow, I can tell you it was magical. I don’t have much time to write to you all today because I am so busy as we have a full day of eating awaiting me us. I am going to look in my fridge for that leftover beef stew to heat up for a hearty breakfast, followed by my popular baked fajitas for lunch. What’s on your menu today? 25 5 Link to comment
