Plus some customers think you know everything about every item sold in the store.

I guess I am lucky to live in a small town with smaller stores. Several have employees that ask at the door if you are looking for something in particular and will send you to the item.  At a couple of other the employees will stop in the aisle and ask if you need help and take you right to the area.  It's one of the things management insists upon.

My problem with Meri is her terse replies.  She could have phrased it to be less of a brush off.

Meri should be savvy enough to realize that most of the draw the BnB has to offer is to "fans" who would go out of their way to stay there because of the show.  These people want as much contact as possible with the principal player of the BnB, she could have engaged with the person making the inquiry and said something like "Sure John, here's the link.  We would look forward to having you as our guest."

It's not as if Lizzie's is the most outstanding, well-appointed facility within a hundred mile radius, she should be doing everything she can to capitalize on her notoriety while she still has it.

I live in a large city and get the same treatment along with almost every cashier asking if I found everything I wanted.

Meri, could at least be pleasant and word things in a way that doesn't make it sound like her customers are stupid or dense.

Not defending Meri, but I can only imagine how annoying it would be to have to constantly manage multiple social media accounts.  A brief experience with co-leading a Meet-up group years ago gave me a taste of this.  In that case, people would continually post the most idiotic questions and it got so tiring having to answer them and appear friendly while doing so.

Meri should offer this wonderous advice to Pudge & Sludge - put a cap on your head if you cannot be bothered to wash or comb your hair, and stay home!

I deal with it that kind of thing quite easily. I have a list of "stock" phrases that I just copy and paste in responses.  No need to type anything out and it only takes a second.  Plus it comes across way more warm and welcoming.

Plus she has a big motivator in doing so - she needs to keep paying the mortgage on the B&B!

So MAYBE by being gracious to people who have questions about staying there, she might keep the rooms full!

I wonder if she knows that "forever" ain't gonna happen as Bad Ship LLR sinks below the surface.  Then what will her "why" be as she attempts to unload the leftover rags.

THIS.... Maybe the guy was just looking for a happy and or enthusiastic response by telling her they were planning a visit to her B&B and instead he gets what seems to be an impatient brush-off.... Like "hey stupid..Look it up yourself"

If I was that guy I'd change my travel plans.   😑

Can you just IMAGINE all of those sellers with RACKS and RACKS of that stuff all over their houses?  Ebay is already SATURATED with that stuff and for cheap cheap cheap, too!  I think they might end up stuck with it all.  We might see a lot of homeless people wearing donated Lularoe in the near future!

If that happens, I think we'll see a revolt from homeless people!  Reminds me of the Seinfeld episode where a bakery starts selling the top of muffins and donating the bottoms, and the homeless people protest because everyone knows the top is the good part!

I can picture the signs..."I might be homeless but I'm not tasteless"..."No more ugly prints!"  "Leggings are not pants"

Exactly, they've suffered enough let's not add insult to injury by making them wear lulaRAGS! 😨

When I see photos of Meri's LLN inventory, I think of the clothes my aunts used to sell at their garage sales back in the 70's.  There is not a single pattern that draws my eyes at all.  It looks like cheaply-made curtains or thrift-store couch patterns.  And yet, obviously thousands of women are wearing this stuff.  Once in a great while I will see someone in what looks like LLN, but considering you can get the same stuff at Wal-Mart or Meijer, it's likely not.  Considering what one has to go through to acquire a pair of butter-soft, demon-possessed ladybug patterned leggings, I remain dumbfounded at how Meri is making a living off of this stuff, not to mention Christine, Maddie and the Snowflake Twins.

You beat me to that comment:). First thing I thought of was, “holy sausage arms!”

Her torso also looks like a barrel-sized sausage. She is probably wearing one or more Spanx to control her rolls and pooch (remember that satin "commitment-ceremony" dress?);  it does smooth everything out, but that volume has to move somewhere, so it is spread around creating the barrel shape.

Yeah.  Imagine a customer service person doing um customer service!  Work with the public?  You will answer a million questions that are easy to learn with some effort.  It is the cost of doing this kind of business.  Don't want to manage a bunch of social media accounts graciously?  Don't have them.  But if you expect anyone to give you cash you need to be nice to them and try and set yourself apart from every other biz around.  Want to draw people to Parawon that has no real draw?  Be the best B&B around which means being nice to folks.  Not hard.

I find it funny she is quoting Ayn Rand.  Who would have a thing or two to say about their prolific use of food stamps back in the day.

Who's going to stop me?  Well, Meri, probably the courts once the founders of LLN either get jailed or they flee the country before they get arrested.  Then I imagine you'll run into the wall and be stuck with your hideous rags.

I have a friend who works at a Convention center in CA.  They had some sort of LLR convention there and Meri was there.

She was treated like a B list celebrity and signed bunches of leggings and apparel! Convention center security had to escort her around.

She didn’t speak in any official capacity and kept saying she had to go pack for vacation.

She did tell people LLR made her self sufficient.

Meri ain’t getting off the legging train til the caboose falls off!

Good for her, ugly and unflattering as that brand is (and as much as I dislike her). She's the one wife who actually has successful businesses and did what she set out to do. Yeah, the B&B came with a temper tantrum from Meri but she still got it done. She's going to be set once the show is over.

I went to the local thrift store last week and saw several Lularoe tops there, selling for 3-5 dollars apiece. I couldn't find one that I would've paid good money for, and I'm not just saying that to be snarky. At 3 bucks, if there was a decent one in the bunch, I would've snapped it up, lol!

But how adept are you at tying knots?  The hemlines on all the tops and skirts are so saggy and droopy, they are rarely modeled without an artful little knot to disguise this.  The most ridiculous one is the long vest tied with a knot on each corner.

Agreed.  For years vast numbers of posters in various boards I've read and dabbled in have invested much of their energy in "advising" Meri to get a job, get a real man, get a life!  Lularoe wouldn't have been my first choice for Meri, nor running a charming but rather outdated BnB. Her personality is much too brusque for face-to-face customer interactions.

However, I have to give her credit for the reasons you've stated. I dislike her also, (not as much as I LOATHE Robyn) but still I find myself wishing her the best of luck with her businesses. It takes courage to break out of one's comfort zone, and she did it, twice.

My sister noticed a trove of LLR recently in a Seattle-area thrift store. One of the workers told her a LLR consultant had dumped all her inventory because she had to “get out of town.” We’re dying to get the rest of the story, but we think we know...

#Editing my a$$, Meri.  When 90% of her appearances on the teevee are her weeping, moping, whining and complaining, a viewer might jump to the conclusion that she is, perhaps, somewhat unhappy.

And it's not an hour, Meri, it's a ridiculous two-hour recap-a-thon every single week.

I was thinking about this last night and her snotty "why" response and how it's only an hour.

And as you said...Yes the show is only an hour or two....but that show covers several days or a week etc. So when a viewer watches the show and sees her crying on this day, and this day and this night and the following day and the next day of course they're going to think she must be VERY unhappy and needs to leave the situation she's in.

She's such a bitch... Ugh!

What is her favorite story about Lizzie??   Because if memory serves, Meri was wrong on just about everything about Lizzie.  🤦🏼‍♀️

She first made up this elaborate story about polygamy and the outside doors etc only to then say “she wasn’t a polygamist after all”...

So stupid, drives me fucking nuts.

Maybe she was simply misinformed by other family members. My sister and I swear our mom once told is that our cousin Larry had had half his stomach removed. Decades later it turned out not to be true and mom also denied ever saying it.

Or, with a large family wreath, it may have just been confusion on Meri’s part

The thing is though, that Meri blithely went along with the story because that was the narrative she was trying to sell.  Not only did she not do any research, she didn't use common sense.

The outside door story couldn't hold up unless the patriarch of the home remained stationary in the one room and the "wives" rotated to him via the outside door or the wives occupied that room on the nights it was their turn and he surreptitiously left the living quarters and sidled down the porch to the outside door.  She didn't bother to think it through before attempting to add to the aura of this magical heritage home.

The one next to mom in the turquoise striped horror that is LuLaNO, is the one that Pudge resembles.  Pudge better be careful of that avocado toast, or she'll be aunt whoever in no time.

Oh yes, Meri the Z-list celeb, gets special privileges in the B & B that she bought ON HER OWN!  How very wonderful for her.
