vb68 February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 Quote But then, we would have missed DeNiro's epic reply! Quote That said, I did cough through the Tilda Swinton one from laughing so hard. True enough. Link to comment
thuganomics85 February 27, 2017 Author Share February 27, 2017 Man, for all the complaints Ryan and Emma got for their singing, I found their versions way more entertaining then what is going on now. And I really like John Legend. It's just so dull here. 4 Link to comment

Sugar February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 So, having heard these songs from LaLa Land, I stand by hoping that Lin or Sting will win for their respective work. I love John Legend, but this did nothing for me. 3 Link to comment
sally-can-wait February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 (edited) I still think 'Someone In The Crowd' is the best song from La La Land and I wish it was nominated instead. I listen to it all the time. Edited February 27, 2017 by double-elvis 4 Link to comment

I think John Legend is singing way better than either did in the film. I believe Emma can sing better than she did in La La Land. Popular Post Neeners February 27, 2017 Popular Post Share February 27, 2017 I don't care how long this goes. I love this crap. I truly do. We used to have Oscar parties, complete with fancy foods, a magnum of champagne just for the fun of it (along with regular sized bottles, of course), and games with prizes. But my friends just don't get into it. Thank goodness for Previously TV! 25 Link to comment

zxy556575 February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 Well, I don't think this gig is going to burnish Kimmel's reputation or anything. I watch and enjoy his show so it was fine for me, but he ported over too many of his own bits which displaced too much of the actual giving out of awards. It's possible the theater people enjoyed them more in person, but then, I'm sure they can't wait for it to be over, either. 2 Link to comment

movingtargetgal February 27, 2017 Share February 27, 2017 This show is always SO long. Ten years ago we were watching the telecast and after Best Supporting Actor/Actress award was given out, my hubby got up to make us more snacks. He ended up cutting his hand and needed to see a doctor. We got dressed, drove 40 minutes to the ER, he got X-Rays and stitches, we drove another 40 minutes to get home and they were just giving out the awards for best screenplay. True story. 13 Link to comment
