I'm so torn. I loved Lin's songs for Moana, but Sting's Empty Chair is really beautiful...ugh.

Wow...I got tears in my eyes for that song.  My mind knows the Oscar will wind up going to something from La La Land, and my Hamilton-loving heart wants the song from Moana to win...but when I have a reaction like that to a song, I think to myself, "maybe it should be that one."

And here, now, is the "failing" New York Times's Oscar ad.  How many subscriptions do you think the paper gets every time 45 refers to it as failing?

Don't be torn. You can love them both, but I would be shocked if City of Stars from La La Land did not win. I feel like it is a lock.

Their print revenues are down.  Digital has skyrocketed.  So they're balancing out.
