Gam2 April 24, 2019 Share April 24, 2019 Sam can’t go fast enough with her con thing to suit me. Every time I see her on my screen, I almost fall asleep. Why don’t the producers, directors, etc tell her to act like she isn’t already dead? How can they keep her on as an actress when she’s so, so, so bad? 8 Link to comment

That was her go-to move when she played at being private detective. She did not sleep with the man and no one is forcing her to continue this nonsense of an investigation. If Jason had just taken Kristina to the hospital and had her blood drawn, the lab work would have shown the narcotic that Shiloh/Harmony put in her drink. But the problem is that Jason kidnapped Kristina, so he is no position to go to the police and press charges against Shiloh for drugging Kristina. But if Sam joins the Trust and sleeps with Shiloh, how does that incriminate Shiloh? When Willow was initiated, she said that Shiloh never forced himself on her. 1 Link to comment

I also really hate Curtis asking TJ to look after Jordan. I wish she'd said she was an adult instead of "a big girl," which undercuts things, but the infantilizing, especially of women, on this show annoys me to no end. Willow's real name is Kelly Miller? Oh, Show. LOL that after one session Alexis thinks the process doesn't work. Did she honestly think Kristina would see the light just because her family tells her she's in a cult? He collects soap actors and tries to hold onto them as long as he can. As far as I am concerned, there is very little accountability held to actors. I think FV picks and chooses who to "punish" or he is told he has to hold them accountable. Tyler Christopher had a drinking problem and was let go. Kirsten Storms had some sort of issue as well and was allowed to appear on screen looking sickly and was holding up stories to such an extent that Nathan had a whole damn storyline with Nurse Amy. Drew/Sam scenes were most likely pulled because of the actors off screen behavior. Maurice/TG were allowed to talk badly about Ron in public, nothing was done. Instead MB got everything he wanted. And there are plenty of other examples of this crap. FV is a pathetic producer. Edited April 24, 2019 by Hater 5 Link to comment

I guess she should have had more confidence by now, but since we only saw her on the job about 8 days total, it felt like she was still a rookie. I don’t know. The difference was just jarring to me. I think I just don’t like recasts. (Although I’d gladly make an exception for some characters... Michael, for instance.) As for Laura and Kevin, I don’t have a problem with them having sex, but I did notice that they didn’t get the usual sex scene treatment— no peeling off of shirts, etc. I guess there’s no bare flesh allowed when it comes to the Olds! Asp Burger April 25, 2019 Share April 25, 2019 I'll join the growing club of people who are okay with NuVal. Now, they have not written much for the character since the Dante affair ended, aside from her friendship with Kristina. If they had just referenced Valerie's departure from town in an aside from Jordan or Chase, I wouldn't have blinked. But weighing all the factors, and knowing what I do about how it is to jump onto the daytime-soap shooting merry-go-round and take over an existing character, even a thinly characterized one, Paulina Bugembe has made a positive impression in her first two days. She knows what she's doing on a set, clearly. She's just different from Brytni Sarpi. She's less glamorous physically, and she has a more hard-nosed vibe to her. She doesn't seem as vulnerable. Not bad things, for the character's occupation. If they want to make her a major player in this DoD story and other law-enforcement stories, I'm fine with that. I reserve the right to reverse myself later. I didn't mind Briana Nicole Henry's Jordan at first either, but now I don't think she and Donnell Turner have much chemistry, and a lot of what interest there is in the character rides on that. I'm also in the more popular camp of thinking Coby Ryan McLaughlin is doing a good job as a creepy but charismatic cult leader. Putting the "hubba" in "Hubbard" since December 2018! 5 Link to comment

Sake614 April 25, 2019 Share April 25, 2019 I think my biggest problem with nuValerie right now is that she is (or at least looks) much too old to be friends with Kristina. Before DoD, they were pretty close and of course the show briefly flirted with them being a couple. I just don't see how they can go there with the recast. There's no way this woman would befriend a girl as emotionally young as Kristina, much less hang out with her. 8 Link to comment

I agree with Sake that Val looks too old to be Kristina's friend. I also agree with Ulkis that she is a better cop.She seems more mature and confident in herself. So, while I don't mind the actress, the character is very different. I'm not sure how I feel abbot that... not that they really used the character much. 2 Link to comment

Linny April 25, 2019 Share April 25, 2019 It's not an exaggeration to say that I shouted "FINALLY!" at the TV when I saw Scout with Monica and Oscar. Oscar worrying about Scout having no memory of him and wanting her to do the Kilimanjaro trip with Drew in his place was very sweet. I liked the name change and the poker game, too. It's kind of annoying that after so many months of Oscar being sick the show waited until now to hit us with these special family scenes, but still, it was nice. Anna and Robert were pretty great today, too. The teasing banter, the reminiscing over Robin, the intimacy they still (and will always) share--it was everything I love about them. And I even found myself caring about Finn and that damned ring and his love for Anna. As a couple they can be a bit try-hard, but I do like them as individuals and would like them to be happy. Maybe it's just the absence of DoD making everything else seem better in comparison, but I enjoyed this episode. If the writers try to pursue a romance between Val and Krissy it won't work, Krissy's immaturity won't combine with this woman's sensibility.
