S07.E20: Reunion (Part I)

Just watched the first look and Carole looks the best of all the ladies by far. Cute dress, great tan, all her fillers have settled. Beth looks exhausted and frighteningly thin but her outfit is cute. Everyone else chose horrible clothing and styling.

I can believe both jason and Bethenny make things hard for each other when it comes to custody but the idea that Jason not sitting around to jump at the phone whenever B calls makes him unreasonable is a joke! We see how busy and frantic Bethenny is on the show. She calls when she wants I'm sure and who cares what jason might be doing with his daughter. I'll never see her as the victim in that situation.

Trying too hard comes to mind. The only one who looked comfy in her outfit was Bethenny. A simple relaxed outfit with pants. Why have to watch for boob slippage all evening and repositioning legs so things don't show. They're not standing around at a cocktail party, they're sitting for hours taping three reunion shows!

Something about she would have to be out by noon. Is she talking about a hotel room? Why does a woman with so much money make thing so difficult and dire.

Is it for sympathy?

I assume the hotel doesn't only let's her stay one night then boots her out.

A few years ago on vacation our plans changed because of an emergency and while we were scheduled to check out and had to leave the room, the hotel found us another room. It was all fairly simple.

IMO, Heather is the only HW, across the franchise, that has had no PS, botox or fillers done to herself and I find at refreshing and admirable!

 

I disagree.  Imo, she's had a tummy tuck and her face is/has been botoxed and/or filled.  Definitely some resurfacing/microdermabrasion happened but you might not consider that having work done.  No shame in any of that game.  She looks fresher and prettier.  Whatever makes you feel good.  Back in the day 2012:

Well with the First Look Bethenny's bit is over. She could have been gone and checked out by noon. I like many, do not understand why she did not stay at an extended stay hotel suite. I guess that would mean really thinking about her daughter. Why put the kid through all that uncertainty?  Bethenny jumping up and owning it means nothing-it is the total misrepresentation of what her status was-she had a home in The Hamptons-she was never homeless.

 

With the old Reunions on-I find it odd that these women think it is okay to scream how another is "mentally and emotionally disturbed" or "delusional".  Real people never have a second conversation with someone they speak that way to. . .ever.

 

They did show a scene where both Ramona and Bethenny apologized to Luann for calling her out about her marriage.  I think Luann explained it well in that she didn't know what was going to happen to her marriage.  Now it is all about transparency for LuAnn, Sonja and Ramona but bethenny gets to keep a lid on it?  Seems odd.

I think the angle of the first, older, photo and bad/shiny makeup makes her look worse and when I look at the second photo I still see her crows feet and the bags under her eyes. I have no doubts that she has had some skin care done like resurfacing/microdermabrasion but I don't think she has gone as far as botox or fillers. Also, she was against Carole having anything done, botox/fillers/facelift, to her face and IMO, if she had it done to herself she would have been fine with Carole getting it done as well. I strongly disagree about her having a "tummy tuck", I don't think she has, she exercises a lot, especially since she started training for No Barriers. If you look closely, she did not have defined abs, 6 pack, when they showed her in a bikini in T&C, Bethenny on the other hand, does have more defined abs when you see her in a bikini and I think hers are natural as well.

Bravo is running past Reunion Episodes right now. They are on S4. I hadn't remembered so much about that season and forgot how on fire these gals were at the reunion.  So much going on.  Talk about Ramona being an alcoholic, questions about whether or not Mario was cheating on her, reminders of the things that Ramona had said about Lu's ability or inability to mother her children ("why did you daughter change schools 4 times in one year"), Lu talking about how the Count wouldn't like that she was dating someone who was Jewish.  So many of these gals really didn't like each other at all. 

 

The things I had forgotten were how many questions came to Lu about how bossy she was on the trip to Morocco (viewer questions). How she was all over people about every little thing they did, ate, or said while they were on the trip. Talk about controlling. The other thing was when the question came to her about Jacques. Someone asked if he was younger than she was.  She said yes, but that it didn't matter to her because age "is just a number". Funny how she doesn't feel that way when the "number" belongs to someone else.

It is my hope that they run that clip at the reunion tonight.

Part I:

Tuesday, August 18 at 9PM, There are some conflicting accounts of how the ladies reacted to the return of Bethenny. Fortunately, as they take a look back at her outbursts from the season, BETHENNY is able to reflect on how she handled herself with the new women this season. As the ladies remember their Atlantic City adventures, tensions resurface as Heather is unforgiving about being left in Sonja's foyer. However, it's Sonja who is on high defense as the women once again take issue with her partying ways. Then, from boyfriends to girl codes, the royal rumble continues between Luann and Carole.

 

Part II:

Luann and Carole attempt to work through their unresolved issues. Then, it's all about the newest Housewife, Dorinda, including her touchy-feely boyfriend and her unpredictable temper. Right from the start, temperatures reach boiling levels as both Kristen and Heather rehash their fiery conflicts with Dorinda. Eventually the fun gets going when all of the SINGLE LADIES talk men, dating and life as cougars. The "New Ramona" extends an apology to Andy for her behavior on last year's reunion and reveals heartbreaking details about her marriage. However, between stolen dresses and false accusations, the rest of the women still question if she is a new Ramona.

 

Part III:

Sonja is once again on the defense as all of the ladies question her business sense and the facts surrounding her international lifestyle brand. Heather and BETHENNY voice the loudest concerns about how her clothing line is unfolding. Things get emotional when Carole and Dorinda discuss the common bond of widowhood that continues to link the two together. Then, it's one final trip down memory lane as the women look back at the Turks and Caicos trip - the cock-blocks, skinny-dipping and naked men.

Its as if Kristin's stylist tried every last technique she knew to make her look as hideous as possible. Awful wardrobe choice (looks like a tacky Bangladeshi kurta) plunging far too low and exposing too much boob to be classy, coupled with limp and ratty hair extensions and hoodlum nails.

Luann's dress may be bad, but I didn't even notice it on first view, because Kristin and her boob job and fake hair look awful. They all looked bad. Carole looked the best/ most natural. She looked younger than she has before, so dating that chef must be working for her.

 

I feel like Luann is faking the drama and Carole's reactions are either exasperation, or Carole is a much better actress than Luann. I think Luann is a tough broad, and she's all business, maybe hard to connect with because she doesn't seem to have any REAL emotional depth.

 

In regards to Luann sleeping around. I think she tries to be discreet, and keep it for after the cameras go home. I don't care who she has sex with- I don't think bringing it up to shame her is a good look, MMV. Her sexual dalliances have no connection with her moral character or virtue or worth as a human being, so why shout them as an insult? "YOU SLEPT WITH THAT 21 YEAR OLD GUY AT THE HOUSE!" So what? Wealthy men do it all the time, why is this even an issue between the women? Ugh. You would never hear a man shouting that at another man during an argument. And I love Carole, so this is not me hating on Carole or looking for reasons not to like her.

 

Bethany doesn't get the whole "homeless" thing and never will. She's completely out of touch. Changing in the car for an appearance on TV- what a hardship. Have you ever had to worry about where you next meal will come from? How you will get healthcare? How you will get transportation for a job interview? No? Then shut up. It didn't even bother me the first time she said it, but her stupidity of standing  by what she said bothered me. There's a huge difference in someone that can buy a home and chooses not to for whatever reason vs. someone that cannot/doesn't have access to shelter! I don't expect Bethany to understand it, but to publicly double down.

 

Watching the past reunions- there's a lot of non-reality, who knows any more what is real and what isn't. Like that whole Sonya/Harry thing. If that made it on air, surely we're being fed a pack of lies again this year.

Bravo reran the reunion from the Scary Island season earlier today -- God, I forgot how batshit crazy Kelly was. When she left the stage and Bethenny said, "She just says whatever and believes herself. She could come back and say she was an African American Asian" and everyone including Andy just nods. What struck me, though, is Sonja's personality now is totally different from how she used to be. In her first season her speech didn't have that manic quality. She was sassy and playing up being sexual, but explained things very coherently. I don't know if she's more or less medicated now, but there was a point where she seemed totally capable of producing a toaster oven.

Whoa! That was a heated conversation tonight between Carole and Luann! A whole lot of shit slinging and hitting below the belt! I'm on Carole's side on the whole boyfriend thing and Lu came off as a big fat hypocrite.

Kristen didn't say hardly anything tonight. The hair extensions, nails and boobs were too much. I thought everybody else's looks were too overdone except for Bethenny, she looked good.
