God that was somewhat depressing. I was hoping anyone but John would win veto and Becky would be the backdoor.

At the same time, with Jackie out of the way, the numbers are dwindling. This makes the three headed monster more of a problem and takes a target off Vanessa.

In fact, I believe this is going to lead to one of those three going home very soon.

Overall, things couldn't have gone better for Vanessa. Go figure, the less opportunity to talk herself out of the house, the better things go.

I think that double elim week is always such a let down.  I'm so pissed that Jackie went because at least she plays the game.  Meg is a lump on a log that giggles and cries.

I am rooting for James to win this thing.

Wow, that didn't go how I expected, but I'm good with it. I wanted Becky out first, but I'm fine with Jackie out the door, I just didn't necessarily think it would be tonight! And I guess Steve didn't either, lol. He's toast.

And Jackie will have a great shot at coming back, and Van is still a huge target. I could easily see her and Steve going up together if James or Becky win. And I'm guessing people might lose the backdoor bit and just throw their targets up. Just please, do not let Becky win HOH AGAIN.

I was really rooting for James to win Veto there. Steve was claiming that one of his balls or his table was stuck during the Veto competition. Interesting...

Not what I wanted to happen at all. Although I did like Jackie's parting "I'll be back!" before she walked out the door.

The DE was kind of lackluster. I wanted Meg to go over Jackie.

I'm assuming Steve's plan was to to BD Becky went to hell with John winning PoV. Since Becky is John's closest ally, there was no chance in hell of John risking that. Steve should've just put her in the first place, and if she ended up getting down, put up a ADC member.

Vanessa was on the verge of meltdown following the first eviction. Only been less than 5 minutes since Shelli's eviction, I know she's always on edge but chill out for a little bit.

With Shelli gone, I hope that the Clay mentions wane. Luckily they didn't show

What is up with Liz's stank attitude when evicting Jackie?

I am so happy one of the Jackie/Meg/James trio is gone. It's about time the house flipped back. They had the power for the last two weeks so it was time for someone else to get it.

I don't get why Becky is still aligned with that group or why she doesn't seem grateful that John won the veto and thus saved her from being the re-nom.

I thought Steve would waste this win on getting out Becky so I'm glad that didn't happen after all.

That might be the strangest DE I have ever watched. Steve seems to have picked noms out of the air (or to be less charitable his ass) and John was to afraid to veto because he had no clue who Steve would replace a nom with, despite the fact they seem to have conferred during the break. Either that or those two odd ducks have been working together since day one. If not....why not James - the more than completely, definite, positively, absolutely, indisputably clear leader of the ADC?

Hah! Steve was totally trying to throw that HOH. That was the last thing he wanted.

I may have been pacing during the POV, and I may have yelled out in glee when John won, because I knew he, Steve and Becky were all safe. That may have happened.

I knew it was never going to happen, because John was probably worried about Steve putting up Becky, but I was really hoping that he and Steve could bond in that minute they had, and agree to backdoor Vanessa. But unfortunately, she's going to live to "ummm" me to death for another week. I am so very sick of her.

And for the love of God, would someone just target Austin and the twins already? I know they're pretty worthless, but they need to be on the block. Preferably Julie vs. Austin so that Liz is in a tizzy all week.

Goodbye, Jackie. You had potential that one week you kind of won HOH, but you've done nothing since. I'll miss you, but not that much.

So Steve -  the Superfan...the "Throw the Competition" King, uses his big chance to take out..Jackie. Oy.

He has no idea he's, at best, #4 in any alliance he's in. Nobody will want to take him to the final.

Maybe now Meg, James and Becky will see that the Austwins will be permanently aligned with Vanessa because the closing shot said it all. Meg and James in one room, Steve alone, and Vanessa/Austwins in the kitchen.

What a shocker.

Meg's speech was laughable. "I have more game go play." This is a person who is upright for maybe 40 minutes a day. She's a lock for final 4.

Hated to see Jackie go. She was one of the few people in the house who caught onto Vanessa's game. Too bad she was aligned with a total moron like Meg.

I also wanted Meg to go over Jackie and I can't stand Liz, which is a premonition for me to heed telling me that Liz will win.

Steve is so mixed up. He took a minute, but he should have throw the comp if making 2 nominations was going to throw him.

I'm deeply irritated by two things: the editing trying to make it seem like Vanessa saved herself (completely false) and Meg's existence.

So who planted the seed in Steve's ear that Jackie wanted to backdoor him? That "miscommunication"?

That was bullshit. Steve might've told Jackie that, but obviously he wanted to bd Becky and he nommed Meg/Jackie because he's a weak dumbass who was trying to get back into the good graces of Vanessa. Embarrassing really.

Wow, that was a uhhh... strange and "too smart for the room" "brief statement" from Vanessa. Really odd.

And followed up by JohnnyMac's 'Best Vote Ever' "What do you want?? I vote Shelli" Chenbot: Thankyou John. John" Yeah, whatever." I'm dying over here.

Well I didn't expect that HoH win or those noms, what was he trying to backdoor Becky during FF day? But why Jackie and Meg? I kinda though he was on their "side"?

So many surprises this season! What ever happened to Becky being Steve's "next" target??

He probably wanted to backdoor her, but John's Veto win all but ended those chances.

You wanted Becky to be the backdoor, but she's one of the few who'd go after the three-headed monster, genius.  If she's gone, no one else targets them.

I love the parting shot of Meg saying to James "they're dancing in there" and the camera cuts to a scintillating shot of...Austin, Vanessa, Julia and Liz standing in silence.

Otherwise, since I don't really have a pony in this race, it was entertaining enough because it was such a clusterfuck and I didn't know what would happen next.

Vanessa needs to tone down the eye makeup. At least the beanie was gone.

Steve  boy...what a cowardly little piece of s@%t...boasting for weeks now how he would win HOH and get rid of his arch nemesis Becky and when he has the chance he chickens out...and Johnny Mac is not much better. Why is NO ONE interested in splitting up the twins?!

Oh,Jackie...so sorry to see you go...you are the definition of drop dead gorgeous. And Sadly James and Meg are done. Becky won't trust them now and spineless Steve and Johnny Mac will throw in with Six Sense.

As for Vanessa staying...whatever leading influence production used in the Diary Room to sway the voters into keeping her must have been of epic porportions.

Yeah, that's why I posted the Charlie Sheen from Ferris Bueller quote last show. She really does wear too much.

Speaking of 80's flashbacks I'd also like to mention what is up with everyone wearing sunglasses at night inside the house? I think that annoys me more than the wearing winter caps inside in summer.

I love this season!!!!!!!

Becky v. Vanessa is the new Shelli v. Vanessa!  And Steve wins HOH!  (Huh?)  And he puts up two random people who are not Becky or Vanessa!  Wow!

I have no horse in this race (mojoween, I had just typed that when I read your post), nor do I hate any of the...horses, so I am enjoying every minute of this.  I can't tell you all how happy I am to be enjoying this show again!

Jackie's dress was gorgeous.

Hope Julie Chen just has the flu and not anything more serious.

Can't wait to watch tonight's BBAD tomorrow.

I don't follow the feeds so I am confused. Meg & Jackie? Is this some BS that Vanessa brainwashed Steve with?

The thing that REALLY annoys me is why are Austin. Liz and Julia skating through this game? Hello! They are twins! That's worse then a showmance.

Watching Vanessa during the first ten minutes of the show made me realize just how manipulative she is. And not in a gaming, entertaining way. It's a little disturbing the way she turns on the almost crying tone in her voice and the perpetual victim stance and poking apart every word or action the others do. I'm pissed she skated through this week.

At this point I am sure of nothing except the twins are aligned and so is Austin & Liz. Everyone else? No idea.

I did love Liz's outfit.

I'm loving James a little more every week. The kitty hat and hiding in Julia's bed. I give him permission to win the game.

Man, Steve was really trying hard to throw that HOH. You could literally see his face fall when he heard that he won.

His noms aren't totally out there. Meg and Jackie don't trust him at all, and if Jackie's right, Steve put her up, thinking he was going to be her next backdoor target. It's not like he's ever been good with that side of the house, anyway. They have never liked him or talked much to him, especially Meg.

Speaking of...she has more game to play? She's been loyal to everyone in the house? Girl, you sit in that bed, shit talking half the people there. I haven't seen you once try to strike up conversations with Vanessa, Julia or Steve, at least not alone. Girl, you're as useless as a bag of bricks. I wish Jackie stayed over you. She deserved it more.

I hope Jackie comes back and gets rid of the other side. She seemed more mad that the other side got into Steve's ear.

Again, I feel bad for Steve because this is the last thing he wanted (and I'm guessing he wanted to put Becky up instead?). I wish he did put Becky up against Meg, because even if Becky or John had won, he could have put up Jackie or John. Oh well. I found myself more sad that Jackie left. I didn't realize how much I liked her more than Meg until now.

Could someone post a quick bullet point of who was evicted, HOH winner, nominees, veto winner, etc.? Or maybe in the Just the Deets thread? Thanks.

Shelli was evicted.

Steve won HOH.

Steve nominated Meg and Jackie. John was picked for veto and won, but didn't use it.

Jackie was evicted.

I'm not feeling sorry for Meg and Jackie, and I probably wouldn't have pitied anyone put up.  From memory, on DE nights, there's mad scrambling in the few minutes between HOH comp and nominations.  Those fools ran back in the living room, sat down, and started shooting the breeze.  Steve hovered, and not one person looked at him or even attempted to talk to him.  They treated like he was invisible.  They deserved what they got.  Every one of them acted entitled in that moment.

Why was Austin stomping around in his gigantic bare feet?  Was putting a shirt on so overwhelming that he couldn't handle his feet covered?

LOL at Julie Chen shading the age difference between Shelli and Clay. Just how old is hubby Les Moonvest, Julie?

There is a twenty year age difference between Julie and Les.  And unlike those two, neither Shelli nor Clay were married when they hooked up.

I really wasn't watching Steve during the HOH comp, but some of you are saying he tried to throw it. If he didn't want to be HOH that comp was easy to throw. None of the other players would have been the wiser since they're blocked off from each other, then make all his answers FALSE or TRUE.

  • Love 1

The thing is, he can't blatantly throw it, people get suspicious. And he might have waited until people he wanted out to be out to try to throw it. But to me, his reaction and the look on his face? Yeah, he thought he just threw it.

I think that speaks volumes about them.... and Steve.

He reminds me of the repeated line in Fast Times at Ridgemont High. "No Shirt, No Shoes, No Dice!" It is a weird way to go through life. Perpetually shirtless and/or shoeless and he's no Jeff Spicolli.

Steve wasn't intending to backdoor Becky. John probably wouldn't have used the POV anyway but Steve told him to not use it.

I watch the feeds and this rivalry between Steve and Becky is a misconception. He does talk about going after her but will he do it? We got the answer to that. Either he doesn't want her out as badly or his connection with John is stronger than his desire to target Becky.

Also this. He asked her for a second hug tonight. Shows how much he hates her right?

That was appalling to see. It's like they think he's beneath them, even when he momentarily has some power. I wish he had put up Becky. I think being HOH really went to her head and her smugness was practically oozing out the TV screen.

See what you wanna see.

And don't see what you don't wanna see. She was so sure she was going to send Vanessa out the door and pretty much the entire house went against her. If only she had stopped licking her chops long enough to realize she wasn't as slick as she thought she was...

The sixth sense was in power for way longer than a couple of weeks so I personally see no need for a flip back. And we are talking about like three people fighting back against like half the house. I rather one of those other people be gone. They got plenty of time in the sun.

Austin's face during Vanessa's pretentious plea made me crack up.
