She said that when the producers approached her to do the reboot of the show, she had time to think about it, off-camera, and make a parenting decision that she felt was best for her and Bentley. Included in that was the producer's decision to not invite Farrah back, as Maci explained she was uncomfortable with cameras filming Farrah at porn conventions and strip clubs, and with all that in mind, she signed up. Then halfway through filming, they not only decided to backtrack on their decision, but the way they did it - capturing the gals' reactions on camera- she felt kind of ambushed. She also said they had a really long discussion about it, but only showed a snippet of it. It's not that I'm trying hard to defend Maci as opposed to my anger at MTV for being so slimy. Even the host of the aftershow asked Maci to explain her judgmental feelings about Farrah's return, when it was MTV that was the most judgmental! They were the ones who made the casting decisions and held all the power, not Maci. 7 Link to comment

bren70 April 28, 2015 Share April 28, 2015 Anyone else remember some random loser Amber brought home who was oh-so-eager to change Leah's diaper? That guy was a total creeper. I think she picked him up at Walmart. YES. I'm currently binge-watching all of the previous seasons that I dvr'd when they had the marathon a few weeks back. I mean I watched them all the first time around, but since it's been so long I wanted to see them again (plus it's fun to watch them when you already know how they all turned out). Anyway, I literally felt like I needed a shower after watching the episodes with that guy. It's like Amber doesn't have any radar for red flags whatsoever. Of course back then she was also high as a kite, so that didn't help I guess. And speaking of watching all the old episodes - wow, it's crazy to see the changes in all of these people. And honestly, with a few of them, it's downright sad. I mean I *want* to just watch this show as mindless entertainment, but watching these episodes one after another and seeing a clear path of how some of them spiral completely out of control can kind of be depressing. I see both sides w/ Maci. On one hand, I just rolled my eyes when she said she was done. Hardly anyone would turn down that huge amount of money, especially when all you have to do to get it is be filmed. Of COURSE she's not going to really quit. But I do see what she's saying, about Bentley being 6 years old and in school now - because I'm sure some of his teachers, other parents, and eventually the other kids will have something to say about Maci for letting him be on a show where one scene is showing him playing legos and the next scene is a strip club with half-naked girls on poles while a half-dressed Farrah does one of her appearances standing next to her blow-up doll. Is it me or does Ryan look like he's on something? Pills? All the new episodes he has that look about him. And it might explain the escalating tension between him and his parents. 6 Link to comment

Now that's literal. I laughed too. It was made more funny when you see that ginormous fake ass she has going on there. She worked her butt off, but she got a bigger one in its place. Farrah loses me with her "my parents don't respect my boundaries". Then, stop asking them to babysit your child when they are around. Go hire a real nanny. Also, I don't know what it is they are doing that is bothering Farrah since they seem to agree with everything she does and says. They defend her on all that she has done and on social media. Farrah is wack! Seriously, Maci has no room to talk. If Maci is worried about her son being part of a show where Farrah's shenanigans will be part of it, how about worrying about how YOU look as you went from guy to guy to guy, wanting each guy's baby, moving in and playing wifey, and bringing all those guys around your son. Please!! And that producer needs to STFU too because his whole "four different scenarios and situations..." is all bullshit to me. He is trying to make it seem this show is about teen moms struggles when it never was a struggle. Talk about how MTV money made this show to be about how these girls spent their money. I'm currently watching the old seasons and she didn't have *many* friends, but she did have a couple close ones. I haven't seen them in ages though. I have a feeling she drove them away because she's so.... bitchy/rude/self-absorbed/chip on her shoulder. It's really too bad because they seemed like nice girls. And Farrah seemed happy and relaxed around them, unlike how she is around people now. And the sad thing is, she acts so fake and different now, that I doubt she'll ever make a real friend again. Back in the early episodes, she was bitchy and a know-it-all, but at least she was being real and being herself. She acted like a regular teenager when she was with these girls. Even I do think that MTV did it in a really slimy way, and that is a big part of what she is upset about. She even said that it hurt her feelings how it was handled. Obviously they wanted the footage for good ratings, but the way they sprung it on all of the girls at the last minute after they'd already been filming, AND did it on camera, was definitely slimy of them. I also believe that Maci and Taylor got pregnant on purpose, and MTV asked her to give that not-able-to-get-pregnant line. In interviews and stuff she has never talked like it wasn't planned. She doesn't mention the possible infertility at all. Taylor and she were both excited to have a baby, I read some quotes from him that makes me believe they both planned it, not just her. But then on the show she mumbles something about the doctors making her think she couldn't have a baby. In past seasons she has never mentioned such a thing. When she was wanting to have a baby with Kyle and he didn't want one, she never even hinted that it might be a problem to get pregnant. Maharincess April 28, 2015 Share April 28, 2015 (edited) I can't really say much about Maci or Amber not knowing these guys very well. 26 years ago (May 14th 1989 to be exact) I met a guy, ten days later he moved in with me, my son and my daughter and he hasn't left since. My kids dad was an abusive fuck who died in a meth lab fire. My guy has been the best dad my kids could ever hope for, he's the best thing that ever happened to us and now that we're empty nesters it's just getting better and better. Im not saying this is the case with these girls but sometimes its true, when you meet the right person you just know. I missed the first segment, damn dog, so I missed what Farrah said in front of Sophia. I just saw them painting then had to go rescue the 70 pound dog from the 6 pound cat. Farrah's parents aren't that bad- I did see her mom helping around the house. If she didn't want to give her Mom the money for the facelift, why did she? Just to bitch and complain about it? Ugh! I don't care what they think and I don't know why we need their opinions etc. Finally, Amber's new bf strikes me as shady, and I really wish that someone would sit Caitlin down and talk to her about her eating habits, and I don't mean Tyler. I really like her but she is constantly stuffing her face and I have to worry about her health. If the producers are going to sit around and hold Amber's hand all the time, they could use some of that time to talk to Caitlin and maybe steer her in the direction of a reputable weight loss program. If he wasn't an addict, would you feel the same? Maybe it's a little soon for him to move in- I agree with that. But it's her life. I love Maci- I don't know why. I just think she's good for other young single mom's to see. She's going to school and has a good job and is supporting her and her son. She gives other girls hope that they can do the same. That may not make for exciting TV- but it's reality. I don't know when Ty is trying to get away from Catelynn. I don't think it's that he doesn't want to marry her. He doesn't want to get married at a courthouse. He says he wants a big wedding for Cate- but I don't think that's necessarily true. I think HE wants the big wedding. He's kinda showy like that. Then he & Cate was talking about her weight after the baby- and he says that she'll be beautiful no matter what. If that isn't cute, I dunno what is! I knew people weren't gonna agree with me- I was gonna put that at the end of my post. People judge Amber, Maci, & Cate & Ty a lot for the decisions they've made/make. I'm not trying to e rude- but if you had camera's capturing every moment of your life from the age of 15-16 till 20 something- I'm sure there would be a few things you'd regret. There are many things I'd regret! Amber's new guy - coming for a visit and then casually dropping into conversation that he gave up his apartment is pretty effing weird, even Amber seemed surprised. She had no choice but say yes to him moving in since they were on camera. I guess he doesn't have real job either if he can just move thousand miles without even discussing this moving in with her. If that is not a red flag I don't know what is (besides him being 20-years older addict who his hopefully currently sober and meeting her on Twitter). Tyler telling Catelynn she is beautiful no matter what was such an empty words, he was looking everywhere but her while saying it. There was absolutely nothing romantic about it. If he ever marry her it will be because some network or magazine is picking up the bill and he can have his picture in magazine. Plus for his fans and social media followers. Also that was the fastest pregnancy ever, they only just announced it in episode 2 and 4 episodes later Nova is born. Catelynn was much much further when they had the fake pregnancy test and all, it was pretty obvious as she was already showing but I didn't realize she had to be at least 5 months along by then. Macy - she sure is taking her time to finish that degree, considering she doesn't have a job and her child is at school she should be done by now. I guess it's not really that urgent as she gets hundred thousands of dollars by doing practically nothing. And now that she is expecting again her "miracle" child the school will get pushed away... maybe there will be wedding to plan if she gets lucky with her newest guy. As many have said, not much has changed, and when it does it is something like Amber's boyfriend just suddenly showing up. This is after she has been filmed with nothing happening in her life, and then even the producers are confused and surprised by this extra person hanging around all of the sudden. I will say she looks much happier, but I agree with everyone that it is too early to know if he is "okay" or not. Farrah and her parents are still just nuts. I just don't care to see this anymore. Catelynn and Tyler finally have a baby, but I want them to just live their lives without cameras. I don't need to see their new lives. Debra can come visit and take care of Sophia and help organize Farrah's closet, but God forbid she get underfoot when Farrah's random friend (who was probably paid) comes over. Like she's a housecat. I had to laugh so hard when Farrah stated that her therapist said she needs to be more assertive with her parents. And then she's all applauding herself for speaking her mind with them. Bitch, when HAVEN'T you said what's on your mind with Michael and Debra? Damn. Look, I know her parents are no angels, and they're probably to blame for a lot of Farrah's issues. But she's a grown adult now. And her refusal to accept any responsibility, and just continue to play the victim, is highly frustrating. And she wants to talk about establishing boundaries? You can't really control where your parents live (city-wise), but a great time to set boundaries is when your shiny mama is asking for $8k for a "liquid facelift". No. I think Farrah LIKES her parents being beholden to her. And then she can just sit there and talk shit to her heart's content. Damn. I did love production during her segments, and all the side views of her horrendous duck lips. Heeee So it's official. Cate has gestational diabetes. And then 2 seconds later she's eating fried chicken and proclaiming she doesn't give a damn, because it's "just one day". Girl, you only have a few weeks left. You need to buckle down and turn that shit around! Although, I'm confused....don't they generally do that glucose test around 28 weeks? It's been almost 5 years since I've been pregnant, but I don't recall it being so late into the pregnancy. And just how DID we jump all the way to 37 weeks? It feels like we were just at the 20 week mark with the gender reveal and all that? That's one of my biggest complaints with this show - the utter fuckery that goes on with the timeline. It's really confusing. Anyhow, back to the GD. I hope Nova was okay. I hope Cate hasn't set herself up for a life long problem. I feel the girl, I really do. It's not easy to eat perfect when pregnant, but she needs to adopt some healthier habits. She's still so young. But I will say, Tyler still irks the fuck out of me with all of this. I swear, he was positively irate when she was relaying her health news to his sister. He was hovering in the background, just looking pissed! And what man keeps track of their partner's weight like that? He knew how much she was before Carly, how much she lost, etc. My husband couldn't tell you how much I weighed on any given day. Ever. It seems like a really high priority for Tyler, and it skeeves me out. I did tear up for Kim and April waiting in the hall as Nova was born. What a special moment for them. Speaking of the fucked up timeline, where the fuck did Amber's boyfriend come from? We haven't heard even a whisper of this dude, and then he's all of a sudden abandoning his life back east to live with Amber? I really need to piece together a timeline here. I know I said before that my relationship went quick and we've now got almost 10 years under our belts....but neither of us had a child. Nor were we newly out of prison and struggling with sobriety. This just all seems way too fast to me. Who is this guy? Why are you letting him into your life, when you have a little girl at home? It creeps me out. And normally age isn't a huge thing with me - with established, healthy, confident people. But Amber is a hot mess, who is emotionally stunted from having a child and getting into drugs at such a young age. What in the world could she possibly have in common with this dude? Just the fact that they're both recovering addicts? I don't really see that as being a good jumping off place. I did appreciate how he was with Gary. When they were meeting up, I was worried it was going to be some macho pissing on Amber as their territory thing. But they seemed to do a fine job of discussing things like civilized people. And I mentioned a few weeks ago it might be better if Amber and Gary didn't talk as much, since they always get each other riled. Like Gary cancelling a visit because Amber yells at him. Fuck that. Forget Amber, what about Leah? She was looking forward to that, you lazy fuck. Oh, and Payless bags rule! So, is Maci not coming back at all? The fact that she's participated in the After Show leads me to believe she gives in at some point. I don't usually mind Maci, but she can lose me with her moral high ground BS. I appreciated that Amber actually recognized having her and HER sordid past on the show was in the same ballpark as Farrah, so why not? No, I really think Maci is just fronting, to try and get more money or something. I did find it odd that Ryan kept filming even though she wasn't. You'd think, with his shitty attitude, he'd be all "Thank God!" and throw that mic pack on the floor. I don't know how much they pay the dads, but he must really want it. I certainly hope this doesn't mean we get to suffer through extra solo-Ryan segments. Because I just can't with this dude. She said that when the producers approached her to do the reboot of the show, she had time to think about it, off-camera, and make a parenting decision that she felt was best for her and Bentley. Included in that was the producer's decision to not invite Farrah back, as Maci explained she was uncomfortable with cameras filming Farrah at porn conventions and strip clubs, and with all that in mind, she signed up. Then halfway through filming, they not only decided to backtrack on their decision, but the way they did it - capturing the gals' reactions on camera- she felt kind of ambushed. She also said they had a really long discussion about it, but only showed a snippet of it. It's not that I'm trying hard to defend Maci as opposed to my anger at MTV for being so slimy. Even the host of the aftershow asked Maci to explain her judgmental feelings about Farrah's return, when it was MTV that was the most judgmental! They were the ones who made the casting decisions and held all the power, not Maci. I can understand her anger about their negotiations prior to the show, having the show change the terms, and then catching her reaction on camera with a clear intent to show it, likely in promos (which they did do). That was shitty. What I can't understand is WHY Farrah being involved with the show was a sticking point to begin with. Is Maci honestly that disturbed by them both appearing on the same show? I mean, the horse is out of the barn in a way. Even if Farrah never filmed another season of Teen Mom, when she does her sex marketing, her past experiences on Teen Mom is frequently, if not always, addressed. Anyone who knows who Maci is also knows who Farrah is. And if she's worried about Farrah's "crossover" porn fans that will possibly now be tuning in to Teen Mom- well anyone with an Itunes account and an internet connection can access hours of old episodes on which both girls appear. Plus, as commonly mentioned, it doesn't embarrass Maci that she shares the show with a chick who smacked around her boyfriend on camera? Or that on her sister show, there are not one, but two drug addicts, and another domestic abuser? Or an absentee baby daddy that frequently drives drunk and causes accidents that get other drivers hurt? Sure, Teen Mom 2 is a different show, but they are frequently lumped together. In short, shut up Maci. I don't watch the Aftershows- was Maci able to explain her feelings about why Farrah's porn past was so shocking to Maci's obviously delicate sensibilities? If I encountered a porn star while at the bank or grocery store I wouldn't expect her to randomly strip naked and get penetrated by someone while waiting in line, nor do anything else to indicate what her profession is to random strangers in public. I am sure people involved in porn can carry on conversations about the weather, the news, politics, sports, TV shows, just as well as my CPA friends can. I don't think that's all that excessive. Yes I think that Macy wants to be a stay at home and so what when did that become something that we shame people about. If I could afford I would love to be a SAHM too. I think there was another guy in the middle who never made it into the show. Wasn't his name also Kyle? I don't know if he ever moved in though Anyway, I tend to agree with you that Maci's string of serious boyfriends isn't the worst thing in the world. I'm Maci's age, and I can't imagine having tried to settle down with 3-4 different guys, but that's just based on where I am in my life. If settling down is a priority for her, more power to her. One good thing about Maci is she seems to be a decent judge of character. She has actual friends, and the boyfriends she's had since Ryan have seemed like decent guys who are good with Bentley. I worry much more about someone like Amber bringing home her flavor of the month. Switching gears, I have a question for anyone who is familiar with addiction treatment. I think she's just upset becuase she thinks shes bigger than she really is and the fact that the show NEEDS Farrah hurt her. Farrah, there has to be something that happened in her childhood that hasn't been shown, that family is way too weird and the way Farrah talks to them and the way they just take it is odd. But I also think Farrah is a lot smarter than she looks and the way she acts is part of her brand... being nice on TV is boring. Farrah made herself rich and at least is doing well and taking care of her family. The others have done nothing and just complain and worry about Farrah. The inflated self-importance, inability to empathize with others, hugely warped sense of entitlement, etc. It's unbelievable and really exhausting to watch. Her parents are definitely instrumental in encouraging the behaviors and probably were the source of the disorder in the first place. Yikes...what a mess. Can't throw shade at Maci. I get why she's upset, and I think it's more about hurt feelings than Farrah's sex tapes. By the way...are we still going with the "leaked" shit, or does tape #2 negate that? I did read Amber's book (sorry), and it seems pretty clear that she has unresolved Daddy issues. So the new guy makes some sense. I used to practice in substance abuse tx and generally, recovering persons do tend to find one another but there does need to be a long period of stability before ANY type of new relationship is formed. I think it's highly manipulative that he moved out of his apartment in Boston and then came to "visit" Amber in Indiana. He had an agenda when he gave up his apartment to move/mooch in with Amber, only Amber didn't know that. She's an idiot for letting someone she's only met in person for 2 weeks and talked with on the phone and tweeted with -- lol, for 6 months to move in with her when she has a 6 year old daughter that she takes care of. And yes, I do remember the drug addict from Walmart who had just been released from jel move in with her, they got high together and she let him change Leah's diapers. Amber may be sober but she still has poor judgment, a bad temper and she's still impulsive. I'm not saying this bf is sexually molesting Leah, but come on, the guy is already crossing boundaries imo when he manipulates his way into moving in with Amber, he has no job to support himself, he makes himself the negotiator with Gary after meeting him ONCE, and then I was uncomfortable with him asking Leah for a hug when they picked her up from Gary and she gave him a perfunctory hug bc it was asked of her. So yeah, I'm not feeling this guy at all. I'm the least concerned with Maci. I don't really care if she has a problem with Farrah, she is full of herself and thinks she is taking some kind of moral high ground by refusing to be part of the cast that Farrah is now part of. I've never been able to figure that out. I've heard everything from $60K per season to $200K per season. I think bar appearance fees and college lecture fees run about $5-$10K a pop, but that's based on what the RW kids got, which was like 10 years ago. I do not believe they get paid for any of the US Weekly or In Touch magazine covers that regularly feature them. As far as money from book deals- I could not even begin to guess. There's a huge range of advances and royalties and I would guess these girls are all on the low end of the range (being an unknown commodity and not a lot of business savvy). I have also heard the $15K from the porn/leaked sex tape, but I don't know what she got for the body molding.
