cooksdelight March 17, 2015 Author Share March 17, 2015 Why the hell didn't Bravo film the first christening??? Falling down on the job, bigtime! I'd pay to see that, and the incident. That christening had me in stitches. Between Shep's comments, Cameran's and Craig's.... I was rolling. Yeah, you put sand on the baby's head to un-do the first christening! That whole thing was tacky, no one was there, and Patricia's critique was spot on. I want to ride in her Bentley and have a cartini. God bless her for bringing her own booze and butler. Somebody needs to make Landon sad all the time so I don't have to hear her laugh. It reminds me of Jerry Seinfeld's date with the obnoxious laugh. Kathryn's going to give us good snark-worthy comments all season long. Opens her mouth and a fart nugget comes out. 12 Link to comment

Chicklet March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 I'm so glad this mess is back, makes my week. Kathryn is a hot mess but she's whacked more than I imagined if she thinks she's fat. Everyone else is about the same. 3 Link to comment
Leroux March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 I would have loved , loved to see that first Christening and the shameless Godmother flirting with Thomas. Bravo dropped the ball big time there. Kathryn's baby is truly adorable, she has very beautiful eyes. I am giddy knowing that Shep's restaurant is doing well and Whitney's is not, Whitney IMO is a pompous ass and I can't stand him. Patricia has great moments but the she also has cringe worthy moments so I am giving her a side eye for now. 6 Link to comment
njbchlover March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 I am sooo happpy this show is back!! So much to giggle about!!! Although, in the previews, looks like Craig has some personal drama going on.... Love, love, love Patricia!!! Is that a different butler than last season? Katherine, poor dear....she thought she'd snagged a rich husband, a plantation, a city house and a way out of the boondocks....looks like T-Rav outsmarted her! She looks more miserable than last season (if that's possible). I have never seen a more unhappy young girl. I'm so glad this mess is back, makes my week. Kathryn is a hot mess but she's whacked more than I imagined if she thinks she's fat. Everyone else is about the same. Well, she was one of skinniest things I've ever seen before she got pregnant, so I could see where she would think she is overweight....she is, in her opinion, compared to how she looked pre-pregnancy. 3 Link to comment
missy jo March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 My show is back!!! I thought the first season was "lightning in a bottle" and either we wouldn't get a second one, or else this one was going to be the "sophomore slump," but we're off to a good start! I was laughing out loud from start to finish. And there needs to be a separate thread for Shep's one-liners, because I lost track of how many funny things he said. 2 Link to comment

I just love the whole cast; they are well spoken, some more than others but all better than about 95% of the west coast HWs, and this show knows how to bring the real estate porn. Loved the "second baptism" in the ridiculous heat, with the minister and his blue tooth head gear. It was all absurd, and absurd is awesome. 4 Link to comment

Irritable March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 It's so refreshing to watch a reality show full of people who are well educated and articulate. Don't have to worry about hearing the word "like" a hundred times from any of these folks! I love ALL the clothes. At first when Patricia came downstairs I thought she was wearing some kind of fancy daytime pajamas and robe, but once she arrived at the christening I realized it was actually a pretty fabulous ensemble for a lady of her age. Seeing Shep in those pants made me want to go out and buy Mr. Irritable some pastel slacks, but he would never wear them. Cameran always looks like perfection. Craig is adorable, but it's not going to be easy to watch him act like an entitled asshole when it comes to his job. He's about to learn some life lessons the hard way. Katherine firing the first godmother and calling DO-OVER! on the christening to cleanse the baby of the first one is hilarious. She is so funny; I only wish it were intentional. 7 Link to comment

JenE4 March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 Ok,I'm not religious so I don't know how this works, but couldn't they just say Elizabeth, you're the godmother now--fill out some paperwork or something? If the baby was already baptized... Oh, nevermind! That was awesome! T-Rav even used it as an opportunity to unleash some pearls of wisdom on his younger friends who need to get with the program and have a baby. Classic T-Rav! The only people there were from this show, with the exception of Katherine's parents. I almost feel like Whitney or another producer would have put this gem in Katherine's ear. Oh, your godmother turned out to be a shameless strumpet? Why don't you have a second christening? The gang was on fire, though. I was cracking up! The one exception is Craig. I get the feeling this season will see him spiraling out of control. Don't bring me down, show! Who brings their butler to someone's party--with full martini-making gear? Oh, Patricia! I never knew that one needed a very specific brand of ice bag and mallet to make a proper martini. The more you know! 7 Link to comment

I am liking Kathryn more and more. She is a hot mess but she's very young. Caught Kathryn and T-Rav on WWHL last night. MJ from Shahs was the other guest. Hilarious how MJ was practically in T-Rav's lap. She was fawning all over him. They cameras cut away to Kathryn sitting in the audience a few times. Don't know what was up with Kathryn but she looked like she just rolled out of bed or was ready to tackle cleaning out the garage. No make up on, hair not done, looked crazy, zero make up. Not dressed up at all. I get it that she probably thought she wasn't going to be on air but damn. Getting back to last night's episode... Love the baby! Love Kathryn's chutzpah (sp?) for calling "Do Over" on christening 2.0 even thought it was tres tacky. Love all things Patricia and her butler, er staff member. I took an etiquette class once and was informed that the terms butler, maid, driver, servant, etc. are condescending and a straight-up no-no. It's staff or staff member. I like Whitney but his look is so odd (his hair?). I can't warm to him for some reason. And that he's in his 40's and still lives with his mother. There's that. All of the female cast members other than Kathryn in the show? Interchangeable and uninteresting. Can't tell them apart, can't remember their names, yawn. lawyergal March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 This show makes me so happy! Gleeful, really! Last season was really top notch, and I have high hopes for this season. It is hard to pin down what makes this show run so well, but I think part of it has to do with the fact that I think all of these people genuinely like each other. They all have a ton of charisma, and chemistry with each other. The second christening was clearly a reality show event made up so that they had a reason to get these people together. While obviously contrived, it was gold! I am looking forward to what this season brings. 5 Link to comment
mytmo March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 I could not wait for the return of this show and boy did it not disappoint! Loved how they were enjoying cocktails during the ceremony and just the sheer fact it was a do-over was hilarious. Next christening I go to whether in church or not I'm having a cocktail. Loved how the preacher prominently stated that this was the joining of 2 of the oldest names in the state. Another note I heard on WWHL that Lady Gaga tweeted "like looking in a damn mirror" about Patricia. I want to be these people if not live like them. If only I wasn't a damn Yankee - sigh. 7 Link to comment

One thing I'm unclear on...I could swear TRav went on about Kathryn being from a good, old family and the Reverend mentioned similar at the Christening 2.0, so why does Whitney refer to Kathryn as hill billy trash? Glad she's gone, it was a bad fit. Patricia: Who has an outdoor party in the middle of August! So correct, my dear. Kathryn has a lot to learn, alright. Crumpet March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 Not sure about Landon yet - something about her voice bothers me. It's like she speaks with both a Southern accent and a valley girl vocal fry thing. Kathryn is so young in this crowd, and a new mother. She's due a few mistakes. If she doesn't do anything heinous then I'll feel sympathy for her. She may have been digging for gold but she got a baby and a rich baby daddy who doesn't seem to love her or even respect her that much. Not likely to marry her but happy enough to have her home caring for his child while he goes galavanting. (His body language by the end of WWHL was that he was about ready to jump on MJ and her massive boobs the moment the cameras were off. His chair and entire body were turned toward her!) they're not showing off designer labels and it doesn't seem like any of them are fame whores. TRav probably hoped this show would push him back into the political arena but I would not be surprised if none of them needed the Bravo check. Well, T-Rav was showing off his designer labels on WWHL (all the way down to the socks Andy refused to ask about), and I think Kathryn does need the check. By that I mean, while I feel sure she's getting plenty of "child support" from Thomas and it covers her rent and other living expenses, I'm sure she likes earning something that she can bank as HERS alone. Also, I have a feeling Craig needs the check to pay law school costs, and the cost of keeping up with his rich buddies. Edited March 17, 2015 by RedHawk 3 Link to comment

ryebread March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 (edited) I'm in for this season. I'll go to Bravo's site to familiarize myself with the characters because I didn't keep their names straight last night - Whitney, Cameran, Landon...men, women...huh? So ambiguous. But in the meantime a couple questions: I am liking Kathryn more and more. I liked her last night, too. Bear in mind the only other time I've seen her was months ago in either a snippet of an episode or a special when she'd just had the baby? What did she do last season that made her unlikeable? Also, the guy with the big, wide smile. I'll go look him up on Bravo but he is a cutie. Liked him, too. What's his name and is he a fan favorite? ETA: It's Shep. Tell me he's not a dirtbag. cooksdelight March 17, 2015 Author Share March 17, 2015 What did she do last season that made her unlikeable? Stayed drunk most of the time, slept with Whitney and Craig (I think) and Thomas within a 2 week period. I think Shep's OK, he's got a new restaurant and a new house as shown in this episode. He's the funniest of the bunch. One favorite scene of mine was when Thomas came to his house and woke him up. "It's morning?" Shep asked as he tried to get himself together. 5 Link to comment

Babyfoot March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 I am certain that the second baptism was producer prompted/strongly suggested/insisted upon but I still enjoyed it. I love that the other charmers didn't try to pass it off as normal and commented on it as the embodiment of weirdness that it was. How much fun would it have been to be sitting in that makeshift congregation, cocktails in hand, making cracks with Shep and the gang? I am also certain that my hostessing skills at 22 would have amounted to a keg in the garage and spinach dip in a bread bowl on the kitchen counter so Kathryn gets a pass from me on this one. She does seem truly unhappy. But holy smokes, what was up with her hair at JD's house?!?!? Was that done by the stylist that Thomas allegedly assaulted? It looked like a fright wig made out of cotton candy that was styled in a crazy bouffant for Charleston Community Theatre's production of "Hairspray." 7 Link to comment
psychoticstate March 17, 2015 Share March 17, 2015 I love Shep. I would watch this show simply for Shep. Whitney calling Kathryn a hillbilly femme fatale can never be topped (at least by Whitney.) That is pure gold. I see that Kathryn is still getting her makeup tips at clown college. Baby Kensington is cute . . . but seriously fucked having TRav and Hozo the Clown as parental units. Cameran looks great and appears happy. Good for her. Patricia may be my spirit animal. Cartinis, indeed. Craig, honey . . . it's time to wake up and join the real world. You're going to have to work. Like a normal person. And that means being in the office by 9. Not 3:30. I wonder if that law firm is a set for the show? I've never seen an attorney's office that neat in my life. Landon. I hope we see more of Patricia's walker - Scott, is it? He's very funny. I'd have liked to sit with the gang during christening 2.0, but with Scott and Patricia in the Bentley on the way home.
