Gene Parmesan January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Well get ready for more unfunny Hardwick monopolizing screen time tonight with overlong song to the demise of SkyMall magazine that seemed completely self-indulgent and once again, I repeat, not funny. BTW, as much as I like Ken Marino, tonight's Marry Me panel shows me I am not missing anything by not watching that show. 1 Link to comment
Judois January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Yeah, that song was very self-indulgent. I had to FF and couldn't believe how much time he took up. Link to comment
ABay January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 Adding to the choir, I liked the show a lot more when it was about the games and not the host. Link to comment

Princess Sparkle January 27, 2015 Share January 27, 2015 I liked the song, espically if it was his real voice. Never knew he could sing. He used to release comedy albums with Mike Phirman (who I think has been on the show at least once) as Hard n Phirm. If you ever listen to the Doug Loves Movies podcast, those two sing the theme song. 1 Link to comment

formerlyfreedom January 28, 2015 Share January 28, 2015 Hey, all - I'm going to move some of these posts over to the Chris Hardwick: Singled Out Nerdist because it seems the conversation is becoming a lot more about CH, and less about the episodes. Let's go ahead and take the conversation about him to there, and get back to the episodes in here. Thank you! 1 Link to comment

weightyghost February 7, 2015 Share February 7, 2015 Last night's episode was the first one I've enjoyed in a really long time. Guests were pretty hilarious, even when their jokes weren't perfect. And Mike Phirman is kind of adorable. Link to comment
formerlyfreedom February 7, 2015 Share February 7, 2015 I agree about last night's show - they seemed pretty relaxed, and I very much enjoyed the accents! Yes, I am shallow.... Link to comment

STILL annoying, but for some reason it was geared back a bit. The baby mask was another annoying "look at me!" Chris Hardwick moment though. Link to comment

MarquisDeCarabas February 12, 2015 Share February 12, 2015 (edited) I recognize that they go crude now and again but it felt like tonight's Walking Dead episode went there a lot, maybe because these aren't experienced comics and there was not going to be a lot ad libing one liners so shock value was needed. That being said Kirkman's reaction to the Walking Dead Porn parody was great, and his fake spoiler killed me as did Josh McDermitts reaction when he figured out what he did. I need to go back and watch Lauren Cohen's face to see her reaction though. Edited February 12, 2015 by MarquisDeCarabas Link to comment
ottoDbusdriver February 12, 2015 Share February 12, 2015 I love that they managed to disgust Kirkman. Lauren Cohan appeared to be genuinely shocked at some of the clips, but that didn't stop her from chiming in with her answers. Mad props ! Link to comment
ABay February 12, 2015 Share February 12, 2015 Since I don't watch The Walking (or Talking) Dead, I have no idea what Kirkman's joke was. I did however giggle hysterically over Gato Malo and have renamed my cat. 1 Link to comment
candall February 12, 2015 Share February 12, 2015 I don't know about Dr. Eugene in the middle--he did okay--but I think they had to feed Lauren Cohan her jokes. Hang onto your day job as long as possible, Maggie, standup's not your strong suit. Malo Gato for the win! 1 Link to comment
ottoDbusdriver February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 Finally watched the extended and uncensored version of the Walking Dead episode -- the Belgian chocolate buttholes segment was pretty funny ("Every kiss begins with 'A'). Link to comment
cmahorror February 14, 2015 Share February 14, 2015 I have to see those damn Farmer's Only.com commercials all the fricking time since I live in the midwest and they missed the worst (aka best) part - the jingle! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MBrEZ5LJXlM I would have loved for them to make their own jingle based on that commercial. I have a great fear of clowns (I blame exposure to Poltergeist and Stephen King in my formative years) so that clown dating site made me cringe. Link to comment
Dewey Decimate February 20, 2015 Share February 20, 2015 Re-catching the end of the recent Archer cast ep, I was reminded of how disappointing Aisha Tyler's brand of comedy was: attractive woman getting applause for making blunt sexual references. (Admittedly, the decline in the characterization of Lana Kane may be affecting my judgment a little.) In the FTW it was utterly predictable that she wrote the third entry, and would be awarded the win pretty much just because she said "handjob." Ooh, hilarious! I also think that Chris Parnell is the only guest so far who appears to NOT even have a twitter handle. Holy crap - my new celebrity crush! (Doesn't hurt that Cyril is extremely well-endowed.) trow125 February 24, 2015 Share February 24, 2015 I've never watched "No, You Shut Up!" and wasn't sure what to expect from last night's show, but... it wasn't that bad. I'd still prefer 3 human comedians, and for a "milestone" episode (#200), it definitely didn't live up to the greatness of episode #100 (with Nikki Glaser, Ron Funches and Doug Benson -- this was the ep with the great "fan fiction" scene between Chris and Ron). weightyghost February 24, 2015 Share February 24, 2015 the "don't you put it in your mouth" clip wasn't from a child's show, it was from a commercial/PSA. And was it strictly a Canadian thing? Because it was such a big deal here. It's been 20 years and I can still sing the entire song. And when I do (which has happened more than once in the last few months alone) my friends/brother can join in. Watching the hotdog bash his face into the button to buzz in was ultimately my fav part. nachomama February 25, 2015 Share February 25, 2015 The absurdity got me. I liked the squirrel and the hot dog being completely innocuous was just perfection. I don't care for Paul F. Mindymoo February 25, 2015 Share February 25, 2015 I have been filled with glee ever since DirecTV got Fusion, because that's the channel that airs No, You Shut Up, so this panel was just awesome for me. Everyone was just great. And Hot Dog won! Star isn't my favorite of the puppets, but she was still funny here. Great show all around. Link to comment

At some point apparently they broke down and realized nobody gets the damn channel, because what seems to check out as the legit official YouTube channel for the show (it links to what's definitely their legit Twitter account--plus @midnight actually showed a screenshot of the channel during the broadcast) has EVERY episode, in complete form, up for free. https://www.youtube.com/user/noyoushutupchannel Season 3 - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcQUFxXnx_2-ZW0PVItbRTfPRCupv--NK Season 2 - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcQUFxXnx_296hCbibajfFRCxvh08VVrD Season 1 - https://www.youtube.com/playlist?list=PLcQUFxXnx_28p5n_a4qMBZGJoDrp7yNDo For those who don't magically somehow have Fusion and so haven't seen the show before, I'd recommend watching out of order, with Season 3 first. They seem to have revamped the show, with a lot more celebrity guests and a longer format (from 11 minutes with 4 minutes of commercials to 22 minutes with 8 minutes of commercials), and it's the best by far. nachomama February 25, 2015 Share February 25, 2015 Ok, I'm a Directv person and if I do have fusion I don't know it, so either way I can find it. But question for Directv person(s), that damn thing doing the auto play on you? If I've got more than one episode it finishes and if I don't stop the darned thing within 5 seconds it rolls up the next. It's seriously pissing me off because I have attention span of flea and I've most likely gotten up to get a drink. I come back and where it was a hot dog and a squirrel puppet it's now random people. No option to turn this off. Link to comment
Traveller519 February 26, 2015 Share February 26, 2015 Last night's was a fun episode. Lindsay Sloan killed it, I was bummed she didn't get to advance, but all 3 were damn funny. All three YouTube bits were phenomenal. Especially Lindsay asking to replay the second video and the Tom's Ted Talk. 1 Link to comment
biakbiak March 3, 2015 Share March 3, 2015 (edited) There is legitimately no way that Matt Mira didn't write the #wars with it's Hell Kitchen's tie-in. Also, Jen, I love you but when someone who is as stoned as Doug was can more successfully remember his jokes during this game you need to spend a few more minutes memorizing them before you show up. I do always enjoy how much Doug cracks Chris up. Edited March 3, 2015 by biakbiak Link to comment
ABay March 3, 2015 Share March 3, 2015 The only way it could've been more obvious Kirkland was reading her lines is if she put on reading glasses and held a card in front of her face. Way to spoil the illusion, there, Jen. 1 Link to comment
DeLurker March 3, 2015 Share March 3, 2015 Got around to watching the ep with Doug Benson. I don't usually find stoner humor funny, but I find him hysterical. How he can be that funny and that stoned is a mystery. Link to comment

How he can be that funny and that stoned is a mystery. I'm also surprised at how funny he is, as I usually find people who are constantly stoned to be just as annoying and pathetic as those who are constantly drunk. Link to comment
ABay March 3, 2015 Share March 3, 2015 Although I don't doubt Doug is a stoner, I also think a lot of what we see is exaggerated for comedic effect. Like Dean Martin's drinking...If anyone else here is old enough to remember that. 1 Link to comment
biakbiak March 3, 2015 Share March 3, 2015 (edited) I have been to several of his shows and have had friends smoke up with him before and after said shows and I don't think it's exaggerated for comic effect at all. His friends who know him and know how much weed he smokes are always commenting either on his podcasts (including one where they all get high) or the several documentaries on the subject that he has either made or been interviewed for everyone talks about how he is the most high functioning/hard working pothead they have ever met. ottoDbusdriver March 4, 2015 Share March 4, 2015 Like Dean Martin's drinking...If anyone else here is old enough to remember that. Dewey Decimate March 4, 2015 Share March 4, 2015 I cannot believe they actually had the "write a eulogy for robot dog" on the same day Kevin Smith mentions that he recently lost his dog (and, oh yeah, brother-in-law too). You'd think they'd have a back-up game or something, or at least CH could have made a joke/acknowledgment of how COMPLETELY awful, awkward, and tasteless that was. Was it me, or was there a collective gasp/silence from the audience upon realizing what that challenge was? I felt sick watching it (but maybe I take a pet's loss too seriously). Link to comment
biakbiak March 4, 2015 Share March 4, 2015 Since they know about the games ahead of time, I imagine that Kevin didn't have a problem with it. Link to comment
Kromm March 4, 2015 Share March 4, 2015 Yeah, they're not exactly locked into a script. They almost definitely have extra material on tap too. If it aired, it's because it was wanted. Link to comment
ottoDbusdriver March 4, 2015 Share March 4, 2015 Jessica Chobot was a wasted panelist, they should have gotten someone else. And I'm not sure why Matt Mira was fixated on ChappiE and breadsticks because that got old and predictable quickly. 3 Link to comment
BeatLA24 March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 I guess I'm evil, or just sleep deprived when I watched this episode, but I kind of enjoyed Matt Mira totally trolling the episode with CHAPPiE and breadsticks. Although following him on Twitter, he was already mentioning getting the word out on CHAPPiE, so I was expecting a bunch on that. 1 Link to comment
biakbiak March 5, 2015 Share March 5, 2015 I also enjoyed Mira with his CHAPPiE and breadsticks, especially Kevin and Chris' reactions to it. Chris stop trying to make your mom happen! Though I totally knew the kale thing was Maron. 1 Link to comment

Dewey Decimate March 10, 2015 Share March 10, 2015 Last night's panel was very animated and entertaining. And I was LIVING for Jonah Ray's trolling of Chris Hardwick. CH's spotlight moments are far more tolerable when someone's accurately making fun of them. 3 Link to comment
Kromm March 11, 2015 Share March 11, 2015 Recently Hardwick's mother AND girlfriend have again been mentioned. Enough already. Here's a rule of thumb. Mentioning/making fun of something Chris does ON @midnight in a future episode? Fine. Making fun of Talking Dead? Marginal at best, but because Walking Dead is such a big part of Nerd culture, we'll accept it. Mentioning someone on the net making fun of Chris? Ehh... okay. Every once in a while. But the rest of Chris' life, career, family, etc? Who the fuck cares! Link to comment
