Erin had her gallbladder removed two weeks ago. She’s had quite a lot of medical issues. Hopefully Finley is her last child and her body can heal properly.

That would be good.  But, I predict there will be another try for a brother for Carson.  It will be god's will.

I'm not holding out hope of another pregnancy for Erin.  They were lucky to get the last one.

Wasn't the last one the result of visiting a fertility specialist? I predict they'll do it again, with the requisite BS excuses, and have another "miracle" baby.

No, she didn't go to a fertility specialist. She had just had 1 3/4 of her ovaries removed. She may well be in perimenopause by now.

I'm pretty sure I remember something about the Paines visiting a doctor, or specifically a specialist, to find out what could be done after her ovary surgery. Then there was a "surprise" pregnancy announcement.

Perimenopause or even menopause wouldn't stop someone from having a child via fertility treatments. My aunt did it at 47, about ten years after her early (first) menopause. Not to mention: celebrities.

IVF goes against their beliefs plus someone would have to give them the funding.  They don't have that kind of cash sitting around.

I didn't say IVF, did I? There are other fertility treatments besides IVF, and some are not expensive.

Topic: How long until ANY Bates makes the next "miracle" "surprise" pregnancy announcement?

With 1/4 of an ovary and falling hormone levels, there isn't much except IVF and donor eggs that will lead to a viable pregnancy.  They may have eeked the last kid out with clomid or similar, but their odds of doing that 18 months or two years later aren't good at all.

The house apparently fell through. They have made no statements updating their plans, still at the rental zoo.

That took me out 😂😂😂

On a serious note, I hope Erin is okay and her health improves. On a snarky note, why the hell is she recording another CD? Studio time is expensive and she would have to sell quite a bit just to recoup her investment, let alone make a profit. I get that every business has upfront costs, but Chad and Erin really don't have the resources to take that kind of risk.

This is where they lose me. Erin had a great thing going with her YouTube channel and they abruptly shut it down. In addition, if they didn't have five kids shoved into a two-room cottage, she could make a tidy living teaching piano. She could play at weddings for a fee. I support Erin wanting to earn extra cash for her family, but come on girlfriend, use your head.

There are around 500,000 eggs present at puberty, so 250,000 per ovary.  Even if Erin lost all but half an ovary, she's got around 100,000.  Even with only part of one ovary, she has proven herself to be normally fertile.

A woman may go into menopause a couple years early due to a history of removal of one or more ovaries, but it is unlikely this would trigger premature menopause (menopause before 40).  Erin is just 31, she has plenty of babymaking years ahead of her if she wants.

All that BS about fertility specialists and future fertility was mainly fundie clickbait nonsense, IMO.  If she's having regular periods, and has already conceived at least once since her surgery; there is no reason to expect that she doesn't have normal fertility.

Trust me: virtually every celebrity over the age of 40 who conceived a 'miracle baby' did so with the aid of donor eggs.  Even IVF is not very successful in women over 40.  Donor eggs easily cost $15,000 a cycle which is why most of us peasants don't use them.

Maybe she should make up with Carlin & Whitney so she can set up a keyboard, play some tunes & sell some CDs at the next Cash n Carry. 🤣

So do I. Especially since the last "miracle" baby wasn't the boy they thought it was.

While posting about C&E camping E&C came to mind. First, I just don’t see Princess Erin as the camping type. Hair and make up would be a nightmare in that little trailer. They went through the trouble and expense of renovating a trailer that was already too small for the family, then nothing.

What happened to all the memories they were going to make camping? The trailer was finished and ready to go. J&K have camped twice and their trailer isn’t finished. I wonder what happened. They should have sold it for a nice profit.

I wonder if they ended up selling it back when they thought they were moving?

I'm not sure what's up with Fundies and their newfound obsession for camping.

More photo opportunities for some, keeping up with the Joneses for others?

For graduates of the Kitchen Table Academy, that would be keeping up with the Jones.

Long time since I watched the video but the place where they were going to have the kids sleep struck me as unacceptable even for small kids. I swear it was something like sticking them under a table or a bench (I don't feel like looking back to get specifics.) Cute camper for a couple, not for a family. Maybe sell it to the parents?

The dinette folds into a single bed. That is where they planned for Brooklyn, Everly, and Holland to sleep. Carson was going to sleep in the space under the full size bed, and Finley with the parents. I wasn’t sure if the three girls would really fit in the single bed but some posters noted that they are small and in a particular configuration it would work. I couldn’t do it though.

I think it comes down to none of them having an original thought.  They remind me of a group of coworkers I had.  If one did something, the rest had to follow suit.  One bought a large pickup truck which made sense because they had horses and needed it to haul the trailer.  Within a month everyone else in the group either bought or was in the process of buying a pickup truck even though then lived in the suburbs and had no real use for one.

Stack the kids like cordwood. They'll sleep fine.  🤣

Well, better than I "remembered" but the kid under something part was right anyway.

Erin has TWO KitchenAid mixers?

FWIW it could have been gifts and she really cooks/bakes a lot. She has really come a long way from the lousy cook she was when she married Chad. And she seems to really enjoy it.

Apropo, where are Jana, Jill, and Jessa as cooks. They took great pleasure embarrassing Erin and filmed for their show, with a cooking gift basket that included a fire extinguisher. Because on brand for a Duggar the cruelty is the point.

So funny. I was just referring to this in the Duggar Finance thread. Erin really has set the bar high as a Fundy housewife.

I saw somewhere that today is Chad & Erin’s 9th wedding anniversary. Seems like they have been married a lot longer, but I guess it’s because they have so many kids so close together. It was always s***ty what the Duggar girls did to Erin and as we’ve now seen, definitely on brand for the Duggars. Both families still have awful beliefs, but the Bateses appear to be happier and better off.

Erin and Chad certainly seem happy, but they certainly AREN'T better off than the Duggars. They can't afford to but a house, something all her other married siblings aside from Nathan (and Michael? not sure if they own) have done.

Wedding style has also come a long way. Erin wore a fundie frankendress. Her sisters have worn ballgowns. Sleeveless. Clavicles in plain sight.

I always chuckle when I think of Erin's wedding dress because my sister wore a similar monstrosity in the early 90's. It was a Laura Ashley gown complete with T-shirt sleeve. I think she ended up donating it to Goodwill when she got divorced, lol.

That middle tier of Bates girls is so lucky they got married after the UP tv money hit.

I think the Floriduh plans are off.

Tori's dress was also the only one that was neither Generic Fundie nor apparently designed to make her chest look bigger.

They haven't made reference to it in a while. Unless a church friend offers up a free or discounted house, I don't think it's happening.

I felt bad for Tori because apparently Kelly nagged her every day because she (Kelly) didn't think the dress was fancy enough.  She came around when she saw the finished product, but I would find that pretty nerve wracking if I was a bride and my mother was constantly second guessing my dress choice.

Regarding Erin, I think she was somewhat put out when Kelly was gushing over Carlin's dress.  I was surprised we never got a vow renewal with Chad and Erin where she could get a decent dress like Whitney had.

They had apparently counted on getting a specific house someplace, probably at a discount or maybe for free, and that fell through.  It took weeks of people asking what happened to their big plans before they even came clean about that.  They haven't said a thing since; it seems likely that they are staying put but don't want the leghumpers to know as speculation keeps people coming to the site.  And, it seems likely that the truth is going to be hard for them to spin enough to make them look good.

So do I. Kelly also nagged Tori about the color of the under part of the dress. It was white but Kelly thought it was too revealing and it should be changed to a different color. Shut up Kelly.

I'm really surprised we didn't either. Erin was really jealous by how big Carlin's wedding was from the dress to the venue to how big the wedding party was. I really expected the very next season to be Erin's vow renewal which would be bigger then Carlin's.

The white underlay totally ruined the bodice of Josie's dress.

Erin was probably punching the air when Whit beat her to a vow renewal.

That’s quite the visual @BitterApple! 😂 I’ve been struggling since I woke up with anxiety and really needed that laugh.

I sometimes feel sorry for fundie women because they have such limited opportunities to shine. Get engaged  (and pretend it’s a surprise), get married, and have your first pregnancy (again pretending to be surprised). That’s it, your usefulness gone except for birthing more kids you can’t afford, don’t have adequate accommodations for, and don’t have enough time for one on one attention.

Does Erin ever wonder what if she had accepted that scholarship to a state university? The satisfaction of playing the piano to her hearts content, concerts, touring, doing an internship at the elementary, middle school, and high school level. To be able to choose her path in life. Instead, all she has is competing with her sisters and sisters in law about weddings, number of kids, apparently even number of animals. What a waste. But hey, she never had to sit down next to someone with green hair. 🤦🏽‍♀️
