None of them had employees to pay. Tayshia is spinning it that she used the money to hire someone who was unemployed. Well, that is not what the loans were set up for. They were to pay existing employees when the business couldn't because they weren't making money due to Covid. Why not end the PR nightmare and pay the loan back? Because likely the loans will be forgiven and they are all greedy taking taxpayer money. So all of them blatantly cheated? I hope there are consequences, but I don't think it's likely since the loans were approved. 4 Link to comment

If its a legit business, and as the owner you lost income, you can get a PPP loan to cover your own lost income. There's a formula, and it involves the income reported to IRS, and a drop in income compared to the previous year. You also have to apply to have the loan forgiven. A certain percentage of the loan is payroll, and the rest can be expenses, like office rent, electricity, etc. 1 1 Link to comment

It sounds a lot of these contestants who go into influencing were advised to set up a businesses like their own little marketing firms. That technically made them eligible. They were probably advised by their financial consultants to apply. So for something like a charity, who probably found it difficult to fundraise during the pandemic, this loan would make sense to make sure the people who are on the payroll get paid. I could get why some of them might have applied early on in the year when they didn't know how things would shake out but for many of them, it was a banner year. Influencing/marketing on their level didn't seem to take a hit the way other businesses did. And for people like Lauren and Arie who have quite a bit of wealth, it's just a terrible look because they could withstand not getting paid from their influencing jobs. 2 8 Link to comment

Just because the loans were approved, doesn't mean they didn't cheat in providing the info to get the loans. Here are 57 people who did. The only difference is likely the amount of the loans. https://www.msn.com/en-us/money/smallbusiness/justice-department-charges-57-people-with-defrauding-ppp-funds/ar-BB18TPe3 Edited July 6, 2021 by Rightside 4 Link to comment

Someone with that challenge probably shouldn’t have been cast. But I place the most blame on Hunter because he chose to go on a TV show watched by millions. I would think someone with children would weigh the pros and cons of being on this show and decide to do what is best for the children. chocolatine July 7, 2021 Share July 7, 2021 (edited) I noticed the snorting only in the most recent episode, but didn't recognize it as a tic. I thought it was just a sinus infection. Shame on the producers if they knew it was a tic and decided to emphasize it anyway. It doesn't sound like Hunter is blaming his behavior on Tourette's so at least he has some self-awareness. Maybe I am missing something. Just started watching this week and I have not seen any Tourette’s behavior. Same. Admittedly I pay maybe 5% of attention while this show is airing in the background but all I remember of the Hunter saga is his being seen as too aggressive and the guys being bothered by that and mad at him for going after Katie at the cocktail party when he already had a rose. None of that read as having anything to do with Tourette's. I guess it's possible that there were some rude comments on social media about some of his mannerisms because social media is the place where assholes dwell. But yeah, just speaking for myself I saw no strange tics or weirdness or anything of that nature regarding Hunter. Other than with the previous villains eliminated, the season needs a new one and he's it because per the guys, "he's too aggressive". Right, I feel like that's a bridge too far even for this show, which gets tackier by the year. And it doesn't mesh at all with the theme, which is clearly defined by Katie's limo entrance from her bachelor season. She can celebrate her own sexual nature, but then mocks and humiliates the men? how does that work? I thought when Katie was on The Bachelor, she had an agenda. I wonder now, if she was given the "sex positive" role by producers, including walking into the show with a dildo, in order to lead up to being the sex-positive lead.
