Straycat80 December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Gabler! I’m shocked but not unhappy about it. Owen and Cassidy looked shocked. oh, no Hollywood reunion. Hmmm. 1 2 Link to comment
EllenB December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Holy shit, the old fart did it! I was starting to wonder when so many of his jury alliance people still seemed loyal to him. 1 Link to comment
Lady Calypso December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Very underwhelming. Gabler basically disappeared after the Elie vote in the edit. 6 Link to comment
Lantern7 December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 I told you I suck at predicting this shit. I’m not pissed . . . I’m just confused. How the fuck did Gabler win this? How?!? 2 3 Link to comment
truthaboutluv December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Well I’ll be damned. Gabler sure showed me. Cassidy is PISSED!!! Which is kind of hilarious. 2 4 2 Link to comment

mojoween December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 I. Am. Astonished. He disappeared for weeks. Like I said, I was surprised to see he was still here. Bob winning only because the haters were bitches to Sugar is less surprising than this. 2 Link to comment

LadyChatts December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Just now, Lady Calypso said: Very underwhelming. Gabler basically disappeared after the Elie vote in the edit. Not only that but I guess he truly was hiding in plain sight. The only thing I can give him credit for was recognizing Jesse and Cody were a threat before anyone else seemed to. But seriously, very interesting winner's edit. I'm just shocked it was such a blow out. I expected it to be a lot closer. 2 4 Link to comment
truthaboutluv December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 I’m honestly wondering if since the jury couldn’t vote for Jesse who they probably felt was the real winner, they just said “fuck it” and went for the least likely to win option with Gabler. 4 Link to comment

No, I think Owen's pitch didn't help but I think the jury saw him as a goat because he was never ever in a power position and never dictated any sort of vote, showing how little social capital he had. 1 1 Link to comment
willco December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 So can we sue Gabler if he doesn't donate his winnings ?!? I say it's an implied contract ! ( I have no idea, really.. contracts law course was 40 years ago ;) Link to comment

Straycat80 December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Well, I guess it’s nice to have an older person win for a change. Usually anyone older is voted off almost immediately. 7 Link to comment

I can’t help it, but it gives me a soft spot for her. I wear an initial necklace for my deceased daughter and I always hold her “M” when I need a little strength. did you ever notice in David vs. Goliath that Dr. Allison compulsively checked her heart rate at tribal counsels? That used to crack me up. 1 Link to comment

They don't have months to be home and figure out how it went down. She doesn't look happy. Here I thought Gabler was strutting into TC thinking he would beat Cassidy and Owen, but maybe Cassidy was the one who was overconfident. 1 3 Link to comment

LadyChatts December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 (edited) Jeff: "did Gabler sway anyone on the jury with his arguments?" and the jury gives the obligatory head nods and yeses. I will say that Gabler isn't the worst winner. I was rooting for Owen, but of the three I guess Gabler earned it. I also appreciate that he is donating his money to veterans. I'm equally glad that he didn't use that to sway that jury. Edited December 15, 2022 by LadyChatts 2 9 Link to comment

But he should have made more points about what he did to stay alive, like playing up when he and Noelle got out James. I can see why he didn't get votes, even though I liked him. 1 2 Link to comment

I don't really miss the live audience, but I would love to see the contestants reflect on the season. It would have been nice to have Dwight there to explain what went down with giving Jesse Jeanine's idol. But for the winner reveal, I like it being read live. 1 2 Link to comment

Carey December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 Gabler for me was anything but a shock. Maybe a bit surprising at most, but Gabe probably had a decent chance due to a respective surge and not having to deal with Karla or Jesse. May have been his to lose when the other person was Owen 1 Link to comment

DEL901 December 15, 2022 Share December 15, 2022 I guess Cassidy was disliked and Owen dismissed as getting “lucky” to make it to the end. But Gabler kicked ass at fire and aced the Q&A…. 1 2 Link to comment
