Tanya died as she lived, with absolutely no dignity.

Take your heels off before you jump!!!

So does her husband get the money then? No wonder he didn't want the assistant there. Will he go after her now?

Still not sure what Ethans problem was before with his wife sexually.

I liked this one better than season one.

Finale was better than last year’s but still underwhelming. Was never a Tanya fan but at least she got the upper hand at the end, even if she did die stupidly. I know this isn’t a procedural show, but I hate we don’t know the whole deal with Greg.

I wish Albie had died. What a spoiled little shit. Blackmailing your dad for $50k because you fell in love with a hooker.

Guess Ethan will turn into his buddy and now fuck other women in order to keep the passion in his marriage going.

I kinda love that Tanya shoots up a boat and then slips and falls off the edge and drowns.  If she was going to die that is the PERFECT passive/aggressive competent/incompetent way for her to go.

After all the porn Ethan has watched he is likely pretty good at sex.  But I am glad that Ethan and Harper made it.  But they will have to pay for that vase falling.

I did kinda like that in the end Portia and Albie exchange numbers because both their vacation flings screwed them over.

Lucia and her friend (whose name I forget) are the real winners.

I would think the police would talk to Portia who will tell them what she knows. You would assume with a boat full of dead bodys they will question Tonya's death

I believed in that article so much I kept on waiting on Tanya to “wake up” and start swimming for her life, and get to that boat. She didn’t fall that far from it that she couldn’t swim to it, I think.

I was waiting for a Princess Leia swimming through space moment. I think she hit her head on the way down though.

Not only that - Tanya is an heiress of a very rich man, and has become very rich herself. I assume there would be an exhaustive, intensive and extensive investigation into her death.

But c’mon! Why would her prenup be designed that way? What a lousy lawyer she had. You would think people like Tanya would be very well protected from BOTH divorces AND death.

She did -- there was a "thump" -- it was pretty soft, volume-wise and easy to miss. And when they showed her floating in the water, she had blood trickling (? not sure if that's the right word since she was underwater) from her forehead.

Was Jack supposed to kill Portia? He did her a favor letting her go. I just hope when they investigate that it points to Greg.

I don't think so. As Greg's reaction shows in retrospect, Portia's presence in Sicily was not part of the plan and everything relating to her was probably improvised.

The fact that they waited until they were within sight of the White Lotus in Taormina instead of simply killing her in the yacht and dumping her body in the Ionian leads me to believe that the idea was for Tanya's death to look like an accidental drowning.

Which makes sense. The last thing Greg wants is for Tanya's body to disappear without a trace. He would have to wait 7 years for her to be declared legally dead and access her millions. Greg needs to the body to be found.

So, Season 3:  we'll see whether Greg gets Tanya's money?  And at the end someone said they removed dead bodies off the yacht.  Not how many dead bodies.  Could Quentin have survived?

Doubtful. He was shot in the lung and spent the entire night bleeding out. It would be a miracle if he survived.

I don’t understand why Portia was wearing all the stuff to “hide” when she literally did nothing wrong. She should’ve immediately gone to the hotel to see what was up with Tanya, after calling the police.

Im not sad Tanya won’t be back next season. I was over her a long time ago. She handled everything badly once she figured out the plot. I’m not sure what the right way to handle it would’ve been, but the absolute opposite of what she did.  She should have figured out how to get on to the little boat before dinner, at the very least. She watched that guy come onto the yacht.  She couldn’t figure out that’s the same way to get down?

I agree.  I'd think for ultra-wealthy people, there's always a real suspicion of the motivations of new love interests who come into their lives.  I'd imagine that particularly for marriages to people of lesser means, you would immediately want to de-incentivize any motivation they might have for wanting to get at your money.  If you've ever seen the late 80s movie, Black Widow, they actually address that issue head on.

I will admit that it was sad to see Tanya almost get away, then be done in by her own sense of panic to get off the boat.

I could be wrong, but I presume he was initially going to kill her.  Otherwise, she's a loose end that could easily reveal the whole plot.  For me, I was shocked she got into the car with him at all, given she knew at that point he was, at best, super-sketchy and kind of scary.

I also thought Harper looked super-cute in the blue shirt and white pants at the beginning of the episode.

Albie deserved what he got with Lucia.  This is what happens when you think with your dick rather than your brain.

If the plan was to kill her, I don't think Quentin would've sent the literal fuckboy to do it. He would've gotten another associate of the guy that was going to do Tanya in.

I feel bad for Tanya. She was pretty outnumbered on the boat, I don’t see what she could have done without them just grabbing her. I would have liked to see Portia call the police but she was probably afraid after what Jack said. I did think he was supposed to kill her and changed his mind at the end. I still don’t see that Albie is a terrible person, naive yes but he was trying to help out Lucia. Don’t get any sort of misogyny from him either. As far as the guys looking at the beautiful girl in the airport, so what. Italians appreciate beauty. Great ending, wish we had more episodes.

What I was expecting her to do was make them be able to get her to the boat by pointing a gun to them, not just start shooting at people mindlessly. Or get the posse to have the captain to start driving  towards the shore. She had the power at that time - she has a gun pointing at them, they’re basically her hostages. I was beginning to be impressed by her figuring out the plot and delaying her impending doom as much as she can. So her just shooting at people was sort of disappointing. But at that time, most probably she’s not of the right mind anymore and was desperate.

So was the implication that Ethan and Daphne did it on the cove? And because he’s now even with his friend, Ethan has “forgiven” Harper and can finally have sex with her?

Because the young guy told her they were powerful men and it's best to just leave.

Harper's wardrobe was the best of the series.  She looked cute in everything.  Beach vacation casual, yet chic and fashionable.

Albie deserved what he got but he seemed good-natured about it.  "I got played."  A more mature realization than many men would have.  It is probably an experience he will look back upon with sentimentality.

I totally fell for the misdirect that Jennifer Coolidge would be back next season. I'll never believe anything Mike White says ever again. I hope Portia contacts Tanya's lawyer as soon as she's back in the US and tells them what she knows about Greg. I'd hate for him to get away with everything and get the $500M.

I used to root for Albie, but he's just so, so stupid. I wish Dominic had stood his ground and refused to wire the money. Albie should put up his own money if he's so serious about "helping" a prostitute.

Are we supposed to believe that Ethan and Daphne hooked up on their walk to Isola Bella, and now that he and Harper are "even" they can wipe the slate clean and start all over? That's disgusting and not believable.

She's terrified of the powerful, bad people that Jack warned her about, not the authorities. If I were Portia, I'd be scared the rest of my life, she's got a target on her back. And Greg would probably know where to find her.

I'm not sorry to see Tanya go, honestly. I can love Jennifer Coolidge, but Tanya is a train wreck, and not fun to watch.

So the quartet just basically need some jealousy and infidelity to spice up their lives and have, er, happy endings? Ok. Gross, but whatever works, I guess.

I did expect to see Greg again. I absolutely don't need things tied up with a bow, but a little more explication would have worked, for me.

I feel the same way I did at the end of the first Season Finale....unfulfilled.  Gah!!  Although it was amusing that Tanya had such good shaky aim!  I don't think that Nic guy was going to shoot Tanya.  Drowning would have been the objective because an autopsy would have shown drugs ad booze in her system and there were plenty of partygoers who witnessed her drunken behavior.

True.  It's easy to be good-natured about it when it wasn't your money!  On that point, Dominic was right about Albie not giving the amount much thought.

So Greg wins in the end. But his friend is kaput! I was wondering how Tanya was going to explain herself to the authorities. Afterall, there was no real proof they were trying kill her.

Hopefully Mia keeps her word and helps Valentina  find a real girlfriend!

Albie screwed himself over. Only a complete idiot thinks a hooker isn’t trying to pull one over on him.

His father couldn’t spell it out better for him than he could - “you’re such an easy mark.”

It’s easy to be all “oh well, I got played. Better luck next time,” since it wasn’t his money. I’m sure if that was his own money he would have had a more different reaction. Eat the rich indeed.

It wouldn't be the prenup, it would be a will.

Why would she put him as the beneficiary in her will if she had doubts about Greg?

Maybe this is part of the legalese that Mike White didn't really investigate.

Also if they were going to murder her, do it in front of Taormina?  Yes their plan was to do it at night.  There was rope and duct tape so maybe the plan was to take her to some remote place and then kill her.

Jack made a mistake letting Portia go.  Though he advised her to get on the plane and go away, so maybe she was spooked enough.  First thing she should have done when she got her phone back was call the police or the hotel since she didn't speak Italian.

But she didn't care enough about Tanya's life?  Maybe she felt underpaid and mistreated, otherwise, you'd think she would want to protect her employer.

So Tanya shut her eyes and just kept shooting until the gun was empty and she killed just about everyone.  But she dies attempting a stupid leap, hits her head before hitting the water, when there's a little ledge at the water level she could have walked to, to get on the boat.

Guess it was suppose to be partly comic, not so tragic.  Mike White said he didn't want Tanya to be a victim to others.

Albie making the deal was funny because of the audacity of it but 50k Euros probably was nothing to Dominic.  Lucia specifically told Albie that's how much she needed?

Dominic accused Albie of being an easy mark but so was he, because he wanted his family back so much.

Well the two couples ended up leaving together, just as the couple in season 1 did, even though Rachel in that case knew her husband was a POS, she couldn't walk away from all that security.

If there was ANY night for Ethan and Harper to eat anywhere but at the hotel, THIS was the night.  Ethan had tried to drown Cameron and Harper called Cameron a fucking idiot.  But they pretend like none of these things happened or Ethan and Daphne possibly fucking and they just toasted the trip!

And then at the airport the next day, they're talking about going to the Maldives together!

OK, Mike White can't have any more young couples having marital problems during the time they're at the WL and then leaving all back together again, as if nothing had happened.  He's used up his quota of happy endings.

Lucia and Mia are the big winners, they get money, a dream job for Mia, a fat bank account for Lucia.  She's not going to LA or anywhere.

Me either until I read it here.

Tanya could still be back next season in flashbacks. He may not be lying. Though I don't really care either way.  Just certainly more they could do with her story with lots of loose ends so she could reappear.

I think the plan was to get her drunk or drugged and drown her near the hotel. And that the gun, rope, etc. was backup.
