  1. I can only assume that the dugout is rigged to blow up.

    S05.E08: Blanket

Just a few thoughts - I can only assume that Dot was on a mission to find Linda. She has been suffering from PTSD (duh!) and repressed memories. Why repressed? When she was unconscious she zeroed in on that windmill with the metal sheeting on the ground and she started digging. She somehow saw Linda's body being dumped into that hole and the metal tub moved to cover everything and she repressed the horror until she witnessed Graves thrown into the same hole. Who knows what she expected to accomplish but she was sleep deprived and beyond stressed. I don't really care about Indira's marriage backstory. We can fill in the blanks. There are plenty of stories, dramas, movies etc about women who state that their husband is 'not the man they thought they married'. We all have friends, clients or acquaintances that have probably said this to you before or after a divorce. Roy Tillman may have pulled the trigger twice but Graves' hubris set up the kill. I think that Dot's plight and her backstory really affected Indira and Lorraine and maybe Graves as well. Indira's speech to Lorraine about Dot not asking anyone for help made an impact on her and Lorraine. Indira decided she had had enough of her man-child husband and spurred Lorraine into an area of protection and possibly respect. Bonus for Lorraine to give her another reason to go after Tillman. Can't wait to see her response when she finds out about Graves. Will Lorraine change? Doubtful. Added thought - I think Lorraine sees a lot of herself in Indira. Seems to me that Lorraine married a major man-baby too. Was it ever mentioned if the family money was from her husband's side or hers? Or if she started the business on her own.? I've known some well-to-do ladies who marry men of lower intellectual levels so they can take the reins.
  3. Great Season but sad because of Donovan, Allison and Allison's brother. I also feel bad that Standish HAS to face the truth about Palmer (I was beyond tired of hearing her praise him!). River had to face the truth about his grandfather. It was a Season of revelations and truths. Have to admit that I was sad about Spider biting the bullet only because he was such a delicious and enjoyable character to loathe. Freddie Fox made the most of his scenes. I didn't realize he played the Swedish King in THE GREAT until recently. He just seems to disappear into the character he plays. Duffy met a great end.Thank you Louisa and Lamb wasn't too shabby with his kill of Duffy's underling. To me, thugs like this scare me most. I look forward to the next Season and can only hope we get, at least, 6 Seasons. I mean, how much more dirty, stinky, oily and flatulent can Lamb get?
  4. I can't even even contain my joy at having this show back on but devastated that I can't binge. The weekly wait will kill me! Love this series and I welcome back all these delicious oddball characters. They make a great team and they either don't know that or they won't admit it. I am so sorry that this series does not get any hype because it is so deserving. Gary Oldman is in his (slovenly) prime and Jack Lowden is just so nice to look at and his acting chops are bad either. Welcome back show. Just read that there will be a S4 and it should be out as early as Spring '24.
  5. I thought this was a very good finale for an excellent Season but I rage about Hopper. I am beyond tired of filmmakers introducing animal characters only to kill them off. I literally cringed when I first saw Hopper because I knew he was a goner. Here he was used to give the Prince of the Whitecloaks a vendetta against Perrin next Season. Cheap trick. I have extensive TV and movie medical knowledge, LOL, so even I knew that you break off the fletching before pushing the arrow shaft through the wound. That was hard to watch but kudos to Elayne getting up and making it ALL the way up that tower! After all the trauma this Season, I am expecting Egwene to be a totally different person next Season. I may have read the scene wrong but it seemed that Mat showed a definite interest in Elayne.
  6. If you liked Hoon Lee in WARRIOR then please watch BANSHEE. He absolutely shines....for all 4 Seasons! The series is bloody and violent but HEY! you watched WARRIOR so....... I think you can Watch BANSHEE on Amazon.
  7. Two things depress me about this Season: 1. I thought there would be 10 episodes. I am not ready to let this series go at just 8. It's been a great Season and we may have to wait for a long time for a Season 3. Hope not. 2. I don't think Moraine will ever know what her sister did for her. Anvaere took matters in hand to save Moraine that will have repercussions for her family status which is a big deal in the Kingdom.
  8. Well, just finished Season 3 and now I have to hope for a Season 4. Hate the waiting game for renewal news. Great series and it needs to continue. It just amazes me how some of the best shows don't get the audience and recognition they deserve! I have adored Hoon Lee since BANSHEE and I want to know what happens to Chao. So many delicious cliffhangers that need to be resolved.
  9. A thought about Mike White's writing - it seems like he does tie up some storylines, even happily for some characters, but leaves others dangling on purpose to let the audience fill in the blanks with their own assumptions and imaginations. Obviously, looking at all the comments under each episode thread, we don't disappoint! I don't know if I would consider that brilliant writing or lazy writing. I do feel played, much like White's characters, especially with the lack of some closure about Tanya, her money, the gays and Greg.
  10. I feel the same way I did at the end of the first Season Finale....unfulfilled. Gah!! Although it was amusing that Tanya had such good shaky aim! I don't think that Nic guy was going to shoot Tanya. Drowning would have been the objective because an autopsy would have shown drugs ad booze in her system and there were plenty of partygoers who witnessed her drunken behavior. Agree
  11. Thank you for this because I was going to say reciprocal clauses are fairly common. I was also thinking that if Tanya is a Trust beneficiary, her parents could have included a 'no drug' clause or she loses her income. She could have been a druggie when she was young. She did say that she hadn't done cocaine for a long time. Tanya was talked into a few very compromising situations that could have financial consequences for her so blackmail is on the table. I have to say that I am happy the finale is this Sunday. These characters are exhausting to me, especially Tanya and her neediness and Portia's self pity that makes her so oblivious. I can't believe Portia finally 'got a clue' and did nothing!
  12. Yes Now I think this Season is about blackmail. Tanya may have a fidelity clause in her prenup and Valentina just may have a new lounge singer. Lucia seems to be coning Albie for money or a ticket to L.A. Ethan and Cameron? Jealousy but I am lost on a reason for that.
  13. I totally agree about the income money. Greg may have a way in so the prenup may be an avenue.
  14. A Living Trust becomes irrevocable and binding upon the death of the Settlor and then you have successive beneficiaries and trustees until there are no assets remaining. It does not dissolve. An irrevocable Trust is meant to be bullet proof. A Living Trust is revocable and can be attacked in a lawsuit or divorce, hence the reason for good attorneys (expensive) to tailor language for the most protection. A revocable trust can be amended several times during the life of a Settlor but upon death it is irrevocable and no amendments can be made. Everything always comes down to language and the teams of attorneys as well as the courts. If Tanya has a Living Trust then Greg can try and get something while she is alive. Greg can try for more even if there is a prenup but it depends on the language/provisions and loopholes. Basically, the lawyers are the big winners. I would just like to know how Tanya is funded.
  15. Very true. The package would also include a Power of Attorney and Health Care Declaration. If you have clients with a half billion dollars, then there would have to be a Trust since it covers property both personal and real as well as possible tax consequences. A Will 'scoops' up everything not covered or missed in a Trust snd make provisions for guardianships for minors or the disabled. If Tanya's sob story from S1 can be believed, then her parents have to have a Trust which would dictate terms for the beneficiary and for the Trustee and make provisions should Tanya pass away. A Will keeps being mentioned in this thread and my head would literally explode if there is only a Will. I find this part fascinating (and horrific LOL)if it were that simple. It was mentioned here that Tanya will be in Season 3. Why? Wouldn't it be funny if Tanya owns the White Lotus Resorts in some capacity.........
