tennisgurl January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 Sensei Cassidy is very disappointed in Shanaenae for her amateurish attempts at manipulation, she has no clue how to be a proper reality show villain. Cassidy came in super hot, basically declaring herself to be the seasons new bitch, and while her manipulations are pretty obvious, just straight up mounting Clayton whenever she can, it seems to be working. Cassidy knows how to be the seasons bad girl. Shanaenae is just embarrassing, I would say that no way would Clayton ever buy into her obvious desperate bullshit, but Clayton didn't come off as the brightest this week. I felt bad for people making fun of him for being this dumb jock during his Bachelorette season and going into this one, but now it seems like, while he's book smart, he's ridiculously easy to manipulate. If one of the girls told him she needed money to help her cousin, a Nigeran prince, get to America, he would probably be handing over cash in about five seconds. Shanaenae reminded me a bit of a slightly less ridiculous version of Queen Victoria from Matt's season, someone trying to play at mean girl alpha bitch but just coming off as pathetic and delusional. Granted, no one is as much of an embarrassing SNL character as Victoria, but I definitely got those vibes. Hillary Duff is actually a celebrity guest that the girls didn't have to fake being excited about, I would much rather hang out with Hillary then Clayton. I love that Hillary had Cassidy's number instantly, she's been in the entertainment industry for her whole life, survived being a child star, she can probably smell a fake a mile away. She was clearly not impressed, even as Cassidy was gushing about getting to meet her. I have mostly liked Clayton alright, he struck me as boring but pleasant, but he really lost points with me giving Cassidy the rose. If he was as nice and family centric as the show wants him to be, he would be massively put out by Cassidy making one of the other girls (Genevieve?) build the house alone that they were supposed to build together, be clearly totally uninterested in the kids and more interested in making out by the pool, and then dropping the cake, laughing about it, then running off to make out with him more. Its shitty disrespectful behavior in a date that was clearly supposed to be about seeing how the women interact with kids, but he got to stick his tongue down Cassidy's throat so I guess she's the winner. Says a lot about what he really values in a person. I think Jessie was better this week, he seemed nervous last week but he seems to be doing better now that he's getting more used to the gig. He's always so funny and charming when he hosts baking shows, maybe because he can banter more with the contestants and judges, so hopefully he is getting his rhythm. The girl who's upset that she left her "family, her friends, and her cat" to be here is now the most relatable person on the show. 16 Link to comment

Nilknarf January 11, 2022 Share January 11, 2022 While watching the date with Susie I was thinking she is a) sweet but b) not the sharpest knife in the drawer. There’s been more drama packed into these first two episodes than we’ve seen in years—possibly in Bachelor History. Two women (plus a third that the producers had mercy not to broadcast) rejected Clayton on the first night! In episode 2, we’ve had two of the more melodramatic “villains” emerge that we’ve ever met—one teetering on the brink because she really doesn’t know how to be a villain and she’s just trying too hard to emulate her mean girl friend, and going so overboard even the genuine bitch is like, you’re kind of acting like a jerk. This is prime Wrong Reasons entertainment right here. 7 Link to comment

Starlight925 January 12, 2022 Share January 12, 2022 (edited) Agree re: how boring this season is. It's so "Unreal" (the show). I envision the producers with their whiteboards, moving each character around. Cassidy will be our Villain! Shenae will be the next attempted villain, but she'll go home crying! Elizabeth will be our Poor Victim! Susie will be our Fan Favorite! Girl with lots of curly hair (can't remember her name, super cute) will be our Shining Star! Girl who refused the pre-show rose will return in....dramatic fashion!!! It's so.....produced. Edited January 12, 2022 by Starlight925 2 8 Link to comment

It's hard to watch him stare unnervingly at a woman while she's talking, with that most unfortunate forelock of curls also seeming to be staring at her, with no palpable interest coming through. It's probably just that he's nervous and uncomfortable with the cameras and all, but it looks soooo awkward. Also, his complete acceptance of Shenae's words about Elizabeth was weird. What did she actually accuse her of? She was her friend, but then not her friend? What? That is hardly an accusation worthy of investigation. I don't know why Clayton is so particularly dull to me, this show has had more than its share of dolts, dullards, and doofuses. But I'm struggling to see anything in this guy that anyone would fight over. His wardrobe is particularly atrocious, I hope he watches the show and burns every Henley tee he owns, his sloping shoulders on top of giant arms are such a strange look. And a hoodie under a suit jacket? Okay then... Were Cassidy and Shenae friends before this? They come across like they've known each other for years, there's an ease to their conversations that doesn't usually happen in a few days. 10 Link to comment

Starlight925 January 12, 2022 Share January 12, 2022 Agree that Clayton is dull as dishwater. But he actually has an impressive resume, working for several years in a very difficult, stressful job in Medical device, for the notoriously most demanding company, calling on orthopedic surgeons. He stood out on that one date on Michelle's season because the other guys didn't have much interest in the kids, but he's just too bland to carry a whole season. And then start walking with her like he was going to confront Elizabeth, but instead walk right past Elizabeh and then walk Shenae out. It's funny, though, that the women are in a sense superior at being a sane individual lead, but are so much worse as a group. 9 Link to comment

So they have returned to classic bachelor blandness and thrown in a lot of blonde women who look similar to make us spend all of the time trying to decide who is who. Add in a little “he is the hottest man since the Garden of Eden” and kissing is the only thing to show. Especially when you have an early villain like Cassidy. 2 Link to comment

Michelle´s season started off great (the first episode) and I like/d her but it soon turned into the most boring season ever, by far. It was incredibly dull and life-less. But only 2 episodes of Clayton and his non-stop kissing, thigh-grabbing, mad blondes fighting and uncomfortableness all around, has me laughing non-stop. I absolutely love this season. I hope it stays "light". It might not be "the most dramatic ever" or "right reasons - love ever after" but at least it seems more relaxed and genuine in a weird way. ETA: What I mean by "genuine" is basically that this season feels literally like it´s just a competition for who gets to make out with Clayton exclusively for a couple of months. We don´t really know anything about Clayton other than he´s a cute and jolly guy who had a scene involving kids with Michelle and because of that he is now classified as the "kid-guy". He hasn´t sold himself as something more or made intense promises about his character and intentions, so the likely-hood of him disappointing us is less than it often is with the leads on this show. It is totally wrong reasons but that is basically what makes it more real. If he does fall madly in love and finds "his person" that will be an unexpected bonus. Felt I needed to clarify, lol. I hope he chills the hell out cuz right now he looks douchey. And the last thing I'd want to do is make out with a guy thirty seconds after someone else had their tongue down his throat. Maybe that's just me. And to just take someone's word that another contestant is "two faced" just seems incredibly naive. Mimbo? His tongue is the star of the show, I could see it jutting out as soon as a woman started talking about something serious and I felt like I could read his mind.. It went "listen, smile, listen, 5-4-3-2-1 KISS". And these are not just regular bachelor-kisses, they are full on make-out sessions. Edited March 9, 2022 by halkatla Link to comment
