Not that long ago, Meghan was hoping for Hawley to become the next President with Tulsi being his VP. I think that's why she is so protective of him. Ted Cruz is called a traitor with him, so maybe that's why she keeps defending them even when they were calling the election a fraud and supported those who attacked Capitol Hill.

I'm also sick of Republicans calling for unity when they keep ignoring it. Unity be damned when they're in power, but the moment the shoe is on the other foot they call for it. Give me a break.

yeah, came into this in a very good and happy and hopeful mood and Megan sucked the breath of that with her slam at Joy;s comment.  As another poster wrote, she was talking strictly about Cruz, Megan, not the entire Republican party.  She just needs to be gone from the show. Did anyone catch what Joy was saying as they were going to commercial after Meghan scolded her for talking about Ted Cruz?  She started with "Just once, I'd like to......." and was laughing, but Whoopi was talking over Joy, so I couldn't hear what the rest was.  

And, I agreed with Joy.  When I saw Ted Cruz on tv, I was like "WTF is he there for"!!

Swear to God, Whoopi better not say she wants this administration to do something about her taxes...lol. She didn't, but her quip about wanting this administration to legalize marijuana was funny.

Also, it didn't take long for Megun to start that both sides bullshit again. It's not both sides! Calling out the politicians that enabled the coup is not furthering the divisive language. These people need to be held accountable.

I watched the first segment only - here's my take: Joy asked "Why was Ted Cruz there at the inauguration?  he encouraged people to riot over the election which was "stolen" from trump. As far as I"m concerned, he's the enemy." 

Meghan:  Oh my god!  Ted cruz is the ENEMY?  How can this country move forward when you're calling republicans the enemy?  when democrats  call republicans the enemy, that is making the country divisive!  what about unity?  You can't see ALL republicans as the enemy and still claim you're about unity!  I'm a conservative republican - am I the enemy?  are democrats seeing ME as the enemy?  I am not the enemy.  Democrats need to understand that 70+million people voted for trump.  HOw are the democrats going to invite those 70 million into the discussion?  they can't be divisive and see them as the enemy!   I am NOT the enemy!!!  I don't agree with most of what Joe Biden has already done as president, because I"m conservative, but I respect him.  You, know the one thing about Joe Biden - he has been PERSONALLY touched by cancer (Me:  WHO HASN'T?)  so he will put forward a platform to fight and cure cancer.  Because his son had the exact same kind of cancer as my FATHER!   My father, who had CANCER!  My father my father my father myfathermyfather.......

I live very close to the ("free", public) Canadian hospital where Ted was born and also the house he lived in.  Before I knew that he lived in that ugly, out-of-place "Spanish" colonial, I drove by it because it was on a convenient short cut, but since 2015 I've been driving the long way around to avoid it.  But then we have to see his face on The View.

She threw in "Republican" like four times in her first rant. And she was clearly hostile and angry when she told Joy that "until they were expelled or [thrown out]" Cruz and Hawley had every right to be wherever they were.

Once they finally got her in she sounded like she was in a bathroom.  There was an echo.   Between the color blocked jacket and her natural curls, she was definitely bringing the 90s.

What bugged me most about MM's rant was she was doing the exact same thing she falsely accused Joy of.  She pretty much said that liberals hate all republicans.   When she knows that isn't what Joy said.   How is that unifying?     I don't think she really wants unity.  She wants her very narrow view of how the world should work to be the dominate world view.

Yes.  She always defended Trump's win by invoking the electoral college. Said elections have consequences.  Well OK Meghan Biden won both the electoral college and the popular vote.  Seems to me those voices should be heard.

She really worked my nerves with what she said about Ted Cruz. I agree there'd be no way in hell she'd ever defend a democrat like that. Sometimes I want to stop watching because I hate that this brat thinks she's the reason for the ratings. NOOO!!! I may rant on the boards more when she's on, but I 100% prefer to watch without her toxicity on the show. Sunny's my girl, but did anyone else notice her stuttering a lot today? Lots of uh and um. I notice the more folks I listen to who talk like this, the more it affects my own speech. I don't know if that's why I just noticed it or if she was nervous today.

I use cc and backed it up three times and it trailed off but get the impression she’s meant I’d like to finish an answer, a thought, or not have Megan have the last comment!   Joy was so good today.   I meant to mention last week that she or her husband or daughter mastered her hair coloring, something  I haven’t.
