Nostrils wants to write a story about Lily and her effort to find the real killer and exonerate him. First, wouldn’t that open Lily to an unlawful search and no just snooping. Second, wouldn’t that expose the GCPD and especially Rey to be inept?

Most of today's episode went in one ear and lodged there like one of those Twilight Zone ear worms that eats it way out the other side.

Inbetween the screaming - mine - the primary thing I took from Show today is that ButtBiscuit thinks the world can't wait to read a story about all the minions who went to bat the clear the name of a middle-aged, nasally over-endowed, decades long fuck up from one of the town's richest families.

Cuz everyone out there was just DYING at the thought of having a week go by without ButtBiscuit blowing his own horn.  Nothing says self-absorbed like the putz who runs the magazine devoting an issue to clearing himself.  The world waits with baited breath.....

He might sell more issues if he published an issue detailing him embezzling from Jabot, bankrupting Brash and Sassy by buying shoddy ingredients, criminal neglect of his daughter and trying to kill Adam.  He could even do a centerfold but he better make sure the staple is placed to cover up his shortcomings.

I DID like Lily trying to remind him that the law worked to clear him mainly because his last name is Abbott.

So Sharon has a fully stocked bar cart?  Why?  Does she ever drink anything but tea?  It might help if she did knock back a shot or two.

The quick way Elena refused that glass of wine makes me think the WTD story is upon us.  It's been about a year and a half since we had a doppelgänger story, so they should combine the two and get them both out of the way at the same time.  Is there only one room at The Grizzly Phoreskin?  Is it a time share?  I thought boutique hotels made every room unique, but Nate's is a carbon copy of Abby and Cletis' room is a carbon copy of Amanda's room is a copy of Dummer's room is a copy of Phyllis' room.  Sheesh, half the town lives in this place!

Billy has to know about Lily's cancer, right?  Especially since Mac was her surrogate.  Why would he even ask her if she wants to have more children?  Oh, yeah, because he's Billy.    

Jordan's Eddie Haskell act is slipping.  She's finding it harder to hide her second face.  Faith should have filled the bottle with rubbing alcohol.  That twit wouldn't know the difference.

I guffawed way too hard at Lily/Billy talking about having kids. A) he needs to tend to the ones he has B) it is waaaaayyyyyyy too early for them even talking about it and C) While Lily is young, she’s got old ass kids. Sure she could adopt but it seems like she’s just getting her own life back after a hellish few years. Enjoying being single without a 2.0 family and living for herself is a story I’m enjoying for her.

And yup she and Chance would’ve been interesting. Billy is still so unlikable to me and his once again giving a crap about conflict of interest by doing a fluff piece on Lily to continue to woo her and then try to exploit Chance to make it more palatable is gross. Billy thinks he can charm his way with everyone and I wish there was someone on the the show that would tell him to *&$) off. He needs that smug smile wiped off his face and I still say exposing the Summer affair would be the way to do it. It was scuzzy and he’s still unapologetic for it waving it off as ‘Summer is an adult’. Yeah, when some jerk does that to Katie I’d bet gum chewing Billy would be out ready to mow the guy down without a second thought. Given he’s all about exposing the truth with Chance Comm, he should be doled out some of his own medicine.

Going back to Chance, they pretty much foreshadowed the baby making issues will probably be him and due to his injury from the shooting so they can hate on Adam even more. Adam deserves a lot of crap, but Alyssa’s father’s death should not be the thing held against him and thrown in his face. He was a child defending his mother, so traumatized he repressed it and then Hope and Victor covered it up. Alyssa’s inability to accept her father was threatening a blind woman in her home and his death was accidental is on her. Billy stoking the fire didn’t help. And then Chance falls in with the town consensus that Adam is toxic when in this current iteration he is obviously having severe mental issues (still is IMO). I’m bummed Adam lost his one friend. Chance can and should hold Adam accountable but it’d have been nice if he justified his friendship and support of Adam due to his witnesses the good that Adam is capable of and always appealed to that side of him. At the very least if Adam doesn’t feel completely alienated then he may start curtailing his impulses to scheme and lash out. 

Nate, leave Elena be. She’s still mourning Devon and you deserve better than working overtime to woo a woman who isn’t ready for it and may never be.

I get why Nate didn’t press charges against Devon (he was in the wrong and slept with his woman) but I’d have found it hilarious if somehow the hospital sued the crap out of Devon for breaking their surgeon’s hand who they paid a lot for and can no longer perform. Insurance may cover some of the loss but the hospital now has to find another surgeon and pay for them- which actually would’ve been a great way to introduce a new characters- the hospital lawyer and the new surgeon.

It's to be expected that NotBilly is going to make the same mistakes with Lily that he's made with his earlier relationships He get's a scathingly brilliant idea, fixates on it's execution, and becomes stone deaf to all opposing opinions and common sense. Disaster and hurt feelz follow.

In this case, NotBilly wants to herald Lily finding the evidence that exonerated him from the attempted murder charges. Lily isn't interested in the spotlight and declines. NotBilly decides to include Lily in the article about Alyssa shooting Chance through the back door, because he can't take no for a final answer and believes everyone, including Lily, is an attention whore like himself. 

It is possible that an article editorializing romantic that Lily as the person who originally found the shooting gloves will disqualify them as evidence, and Alyssa will skate. Everyone will be angry with NotBilly for publishing another article that leaves a trail of damage, while another criminal walks away from penalty.

I'm still interested in how Alyssa found out NotBilly left a gun in a lockbox in Victoria's house, located it, opened it, stole the gun before the police showed up to respond to the alarm. Had she begun planning to get her pound of flesh out of NotBilly the second she realized he was using her to get his revenge against Atonal Adam and didn't give a tinker's dam about justice for her murdered father?

Phyllis would be married to Nick and still continually provoke, instigate, and try to uncover Sharon’s secrets/blow up her relationships when the smarter play would be to leave her alone so that Nick wouldn’t feel the need to dip in and save her/help her. Phyllis can’t help but be a trifling poop stirrer to her own detriment and then we’re to feel sorry for her when she gets called out for it. 

I hope they don’t try to make Phyllis and Adam outsider besties again. For a while she was so desperate for companionship she was forcing herself into Adam’s space and even Adam was like get a freakin’ life and leave me alone. Poof, everyone becomes ordained just in time to officiate at a wedding.  I guess TIIC planned for Arturo to do it since a pastor was never mentioned. 

What’s with Phyllis’ blouse. It’s totally wrong for her complexion and hair color. It makes her look orange.  I don’t know who the actress is that plays Rey’s mom but in no way she looks old enough to have a son Rey’s age. In fact, she looks younger than Sharon.  

I don’t understand how TIIC see the logic in how they write a story.  Sharon, Mariah, Faith, and Tessa stuff their faces with pastries, finger sandwiches, and drinking champagne while guests are already gathering at the reception that has pastries, finger sandwiches, and champagne.  After Abby gives Arturo I’m having a better life now routine, Chance wants to skip the wedding and have sex with Abby just to prove he’s the “better” man. The only couple that actually look like they love each other, Mariah and Tessa, TIIC have to separate so their is enough room for Faith’s plus one. I thought we would see only wedding drama coming from Faith and Jordan but maybe it will be Adam. 

Banana Breath looks more like a pimp than the best man.  Nice dress Sharon but it looks more like a ball gown than a wedding dress.  

Phyllis spits venom all over Adam just to remind us that she is the ultimate bitch. You can tell Adam has changed or he would have comeback with many many of Phyllis’ transgressions.

Today’s  episode was awkward in so many ways

First off we have Tessa who is now supposedly some big rockstar going to headline New Year’s Eve in Times Square which by the way is not having a crowd this year but whatever

Arturo I haven’t missed you and how nice of you to presume to be the officiant when they could have already had a priest set up...In my opinion the actor is still god-awful and the character is worse than ever

I really do like Rey but my God he has no sense of humor whatsoever

Phyllis is a miserable bitch and will never not be ...and she made me feel bad for Adam if that’s possible

Connor is still the same tool he always was but now he’s in a tie and yes what was that crap about doing homework on New Year’s Eve ?

What was that nonsense that Abby was giving Arturo and why does she keep telling everybody they run into that they are trying to get pregnant ?

Celeste couldn’t get time off from work for her own son’s wedding ?

I think the only way to watch this episode (and Dec 31) is through a Covid lens. There was obviously a lot of testing and possible quarantine - note that Abby and Chance and Tessa left for stupid reasons and there are basically only 7 people at the wedding. Nick hugged and kissed Faith on the top of her head. And Celeste via Skype, well not due to her job in FL, but restrictions on number of people on set.                      

Might be unpopular, but for the first time I actually enjoyed the Rosales siblings and their banter. They have grown up.

Canadian here, so I have seen Dec 31 episode and I applaud the show for trying to give us an upbeat ending to the year with the conclusion of the wedding and a nice version of Auld Lang Syne. Exception is Adam and Chelsea *gag*

In this context I think 86'd refers to *86, the calling function where you go directly to someone's voicemail without having the phone ring several times first. Naya probably did that because she didn't want to talk to Amanda, or because she didn't want to risk just having Amanda hang up on her--assuming Naya's phone provides caller ID.

I think *86ing someone is a rather passive aggressive move--bordering on stalking--but I guess Amanda started it by parking in front of Naya's house at night like that. There are so many better ways Amanda could've handled it if she weren't so caught up in her emotions. From. Naya's perspective Amanda probably looks potentially dangerous.

(Alternatively,  *69 immediately calls back the last number to ring your phone. Naya could've done that too but that would mean she hadn't gotten any other calls since the last time Amanda called her.)

Many boarding schools have kids who stay behind in school during the holidays.  But they usually are kids who are from a different country.  They’re referred to as Christmas Orphans.  I know, it’s a sad way to refer to these kids, but that’s how it is.  We lived near St John’s Military Academy and families in the area would “adopt” two or three kids and have them in their homes for Christmas. 
 

Has anyone noticed the black actress who only walks around the Grand Phony, wearing the same ugly green dress?  Please give her some lines and let her change clothes a couple times a week.

Speaking of children, where is Noah?  There could of had a robot stand in for Rey and had Noah come to the wedding. Rey’s marriage vows came of with the emotion of a robot. Lily loves her idiots and Sharon loves her automatons.  

 TIIC usually compress years but today they compressed hours. That must of been one hell of a ceremony and reception that lasted until midnight.  

I sure hope Mariah checks with Jordan’s parents before she drops off Faith  

TIIC went ahead and did it. They actually made me feel very sad for Adam 🙁.

Anyway, more than anything today's episode made me think of our late friend and poster, Valleycliffe.  She loved all things Sharon and nothing and nobody could shake her on that.  She's missed.

Okay, today's show - could Nick BE a bigger BRO?  All that mugging and manspreading and grinning like he's just successfully completed potty training is getting as old as seeing Phyllis sitting in his bed like a deranged Jack in the Box.  All that was missing from his Bro behavior was scratching his privates during the ceremony and wearing his jockstrap on the outside of his pants.  Maybe he saves that for more formal occasions.   Why Victor doesn't spontaneously burst into weeping when he looks at Nick is beyond me.

Phyllis, instead of taunting Adam why not explain who decides to drop off a wedding present in the middle of the ceremony.  As for taunting Adam, how's that worked out for you in the past?  Phyllis's parents must have dropped her on her head, liked the sound that made and then done it again.  She and Nick really are perfect together.

I enjoyed the interchange between Devon and Amanda.  It was, for the most part, light and easy and a nice change of pace.

I thought both Rey's & Sharon's marriage vows were bland and unemotional; Rey was robotic and Sharon seemed dreamy or drugged, as if the words came with no feelings for Rey but thoughts of an old Hallmark movie.  Faith, Mariah, Nick & Lola were all more emotional than the bride and groom.  Very strange.

When Nikki and Victor were discussing whether to go to London for the holidays, one of them mentioned that they'd get to see Noah's new art installation while they were there. So it sounds like Noah is in London. I suspect that bit of info was inserted to head off expectations for him to be at the wedding. I wish he'd come though because I want him and Lola to get together. Whatever, if Mama Celeste was able to Skype in, why couldn't Noah?
