I was intrigued with the Jarvis segment where she was warning everyone about a possible recession on the horizon, and how hard it's going to be financially for average Americans who are trying to make ends meet, but have jobs which have been cut due to closures. 

I just wish she would have ended it with:

Meghan's the type of person that requires being affected personally by an issue to care about it (See: LGBT rights, COVID19, etc.) However, I didn't know her capacity for empathy was so limited that she can't understand why the President dog-whistling to racists is A BAD THING.

Many people already experience racism and bullying in America on a regular basis, and it's only gotten worse lately with the disgusting discourse coming from the White House.

To be clear, I am being sarcastic. This isn't just the "PC" or the "Left", it's actual Asian people who have already dealt with this racist BS and now see it being said by the President. For Meghan to fail to see this shows that she clearly needs to expand her circle of friends.

Yep. I’ve heard stories of horrible things being said/done to American Asians because of this. I’m only half Asian so I’m not outwardly perceived as being non-white but my father is all Asian and I worry about him in his town where he is one of the only Asians. Asians are one of the minorities where it still seems to be ok to scapegoat and stereotype. 

I wonder if trump said it was the “elderly virus” if MM would’ve started screaming AGEISM since that seems to be the one group she is so protective of for some reason.

Exactly! Even in my city there's a push to buy 'gift cards' now from small restaurants, and use them later. I disagree, because chances are the restaurant won't be around 'later' - many of them close abruptly when the economy is great, as the industry itself is tough and very competitive. Not going to take that chance. If anything, I will be buying take-out from them as often as possible.

ITA! I think the gift card thing is stupid. Tired of being cooped up at home and cooking every day? Order some carry-out meals from your local restaurants that are struggling now but still staying open to bring in some revenue and keep employees working. And tip generously if you can! Also don't forget the Chinese restaurants which I expect are suffering the most now.

She's an actress from High School Musical and she didn't do nude modeling, someone leaked her private nude photos. There's nothing wrong with having pubic hair--I imagine the majority of women do, both now and in 2007, when the photos leaked. Her comments about the coronavirus were incredibly stupid, but there's no need to traffic in misogyny to criticize her when there's plenty to criticize that doesn't involve her body or her sexuality.

It'd be important to note that she was on the Disney payroll for quite sometime, starring in each of the High School Musical installments.

More recently she starred in the made-for-tv Grease Live as Rizzo. Her dad died the day before the live taping and much ado was made on whether she'd be able to perform. 

She was also on Rent Live.

First of all, the idea of no studio audience makes the studio much quieter, of course. Which means, when Warren was on, I heard Whoopi whispering something about 'not the right time' for something - whether she was talking to someone in the room with her, or someone in the studio - I don't know, but it came through loud and clear to me. Same with the host who took a deep sigh when Meghan was talking on-camera. Someone took a deep sigh off-camera (Sunny? Sara? Whoopi?) which just showed me they had zero interest in what McCain had to say (can't blame them). This has happened before, too.

Second - who in God's name did Sara piss off in the make-up room this week,  that they are playing this horrible trick on her? Let's face it - she looked like she was dipped in wax today, before she took her seat. her face was pale and shiny - what is going on ??? And the hairdresser decided to join the make-up artist and give her that awful hair style (if you want to call it that). Sorry Sara - someone doesn't like you there.

i agree. She looked AWFUL !!!

It's the new rage with the highlighter makeup. All my life I've been trying to make my face less shiny and now girls are applying highlighter to make the angles SHINE

Adults have pubic hair.  It's only been in recent times that pubic hair has been seen as gross or bad.  It's normal.

I don't know if home sewn masks are okay to substitute for the "everyday" masks health care workers might use (is there even a shortage of those?) but they wouldn't help at all in stopping the spread of coronavirus.  There's a special kind of mask needed for that.

Meghan had it wrong about the "floating hospitals".  Those will be used for for the sick people with other ailments, not coronavirus patients.

What Meghan was doing with her hands when she was first talking to Elizabeth Warren looked so odd.  Maybe that's why she's always holding a pen - so she won't do that.  She must've forgotten to bring it out with her. 

Oh, next segment, there it is - she got her pen back.  Now I really do think she might hold a pen so she doesn't fidget with her hands.  

And for the second day in a row she has to make an announcement about the question that she's not going to ask!!!  

Whoopie - "We as adults told young people they weren't at risk"?  "All the adults were wrong"?  I never heard anybody put it that way.  They've always said that senior citizens were most at risk of serious illness or dying, but no one ever said they were the only ones. 

The experts have always said that young children seem to be the least susceptible, but if you're old enough to go away for spring break, you're old enough to figure out that they're not talking about you.  Anyway, so many in that age group have a tendency to think they're invincible, no matter what.

I always thought that Joy was pissed that she was not asked to moderate.  Wasn't this around the time of her HLN show as well where she proved that she could host a show?

Remember Rosie left after that fight with Bitsy. Barbara stepped in for a while in her place and she had asked Joy to become the moderator and she had refused the offer and it was later offered to Whoopie down the line.  Whoopie has always said that Joy is part of the reason that she got the job..

I always felt that Joy had refused because of Meredith Vieira. They were super close and I think a part of Joy did not want to take her friend's place..Meredith's departed really devastated Joy. Joy was the happiest when Meredith reunited with her Starr and Debbie in 2016 for that show. I have never seen Joy smile so brightly in my life..
