Yang is on, , watch out for Whoopi.

When Yang is there, Whoopi sees dollar signs.

Great. Tuesday and Wednesday we hear about how Whoopie, unlike most Americans, pays taxes.  She may even mention that she never gets a refund from her insurance company and sometimes she’s almost late for work because her chauffeur has a hard time maneuvering around the bike lanes, all the while Sunny rocks back and forth waiting to mention reparations.

Was Whoopi always as selfish as she is now?

Whoopie is actually quite charitable starting (?) back with Comic Relief,  with Robin Williams and Billy Crystal in the '80s.  She just has a bug up her butt when it comes to paying taxes.  She also seems to think everybody has individual insurance accounts and any money not spent should be returned to each individual that didn't spend theirs.  But, she seems to have a lot of dependents in her family, so, I guess she's afraid they're all going to run through her money.

Or Whoopi is now questioning supporting her daughter, grandchildren and great granddaughter. Only a matter of time her family will grow again as more kids are born.

It was her choice to do all along.

Yeah.  She may be thinking of retiring or slowing down and can't because she's created such a large group of dependents.

Hey, View panel, Trump has already been impeached. Apparently the ABC political expert does not understand the term either.

I want to be nicer this year, but this political expert seems like they went to the same school Meghan did when it comes to this field. A lot of what he's saying is making no sense. Like how Iran views this as a potential war while the US isn't at that level yet. I don't get why he's on when he keeps making wrong or strange comments like this.

Of course Meghan is for the bombing. Of course.

Some of us might remember someone wanting that to happen quite a few years ago.

Meghan has brothers in the military.  You would think she wants them to be safe.

Didn't her tribe make a joke/song years ago about bombing Iran? or am I remembering it wrong.

No, you're right. But the one who did that is the one who told her to join the show.

Meghan said that Suleimani was the head of a terrorist organization when he was a top Iranian official. Why didn't anyone counter this? She's essentially saying that the Iranian government is a terrorist organization. That's scary.

Of course Meghan's happy about it.  Unfortunately, though, Soleimani wasn't a terrorist.  He was the second highest ranking member of the Iranian government.  So it's not as simple as wiping out one person and everything's taken care of.

I know - and why have a political director on to talk about a military action.

No, no, no, Meghan, not the head of a terrorist organization.  No matter how many times you say it, it won't make it true.

Thank you to Sunny and the guest for pointing out that Bush and Obama both declined to take this action;  so Meghan is once again slapped down for saying Romney and Rubio would have done what Trump did.

I agree with Sunny about Jennifer Lopez's dress.  There seemed to be a lot of really ugly dresses last night, not just dresses I didn't happen to like.

Meghan, who didn't watch the Golden Globes, has to play movie critic and put in her two cent's worth about a random movie.

Megan will never watch any Hollywood award show. Hollywood offends her delicate sensibilities.  Look at her snide remark about Michelle Williams' awesome speech.. I loved what Abby had to say about it..

So our first show of the (in Barbara's voice) 20/20 year. How did you find it?

For me, the fact that they allowed Meghan to say (unchallenged) that Suleimani was a terrorist when he was an official for Iran means that we'll get more of the same this year that we got last year.

Well, Bloomberg's campaign does seem to be based almost entirely on the unlimited amount of ad time (already $100 million) he can buy, so that criticism is justified.

He's not accepting donations, so, unless they change the requirements, he won't ever qualify for any of the debates.  He's skipping the first four caucuses/primaries.  I've only seen him do one tv interview, which was taped at one of his homes and conducted by Stephanie Ruhle, who used to work for Bloomberg News.  I've only seen a couple of mentions of any in person campaigning he's done.

Tom Steyer is also buying an enormous amount of ad time, but he's letting voters get to know him, and doing all the other hard work a campaign entails, as well.

Today’s show was better than I expected, the opening two segments especially. I think the last time they had somebody from ABC on to talk about the recent events, McCain ended up screaming over them at the other co-hosts about something or other. I can’t remember who it was—David Muir? They looked like they had completely wasted their time. Anyway, thankfully this contributor actually got to speak and Sunny managed to hit all the important points at the same time. She was on her game, thankfully.

Judge Judy wasn’t so bad either. I thought this was going to be another ad for her show (which I don’t watch); I didn’t know she was going to be promoting Michael Bloomberg. At least she talked mostly without interruption.

I didn’t realize until they started talking about it that I missed the Golden Globes last night. I had no idea it was on. I think I missed it last year, too. They didn’t talk about it long, so I assume I didn’t miss much.

That was a long hour.

As Whoopi told the cameraman, she didn't speak much today. That's why it felt longer than usual. Usually her nonsensical diatribes eat up the airtime.

They asked what the blue thing was on Michelle Williams' dress.  When I was watching her last night, I also wondered what it was until I got a better look at it, and I thought it was an iris, done in fabric.  So I checked Tom and Lorenzo's site, and they did say it was a flower.

Why don't the billionaires in the race spend their money in getting people elected down ballot. You don't have to be President to effect change in this country. Politics is local and that is where change always start. There are lots of issues affecting this country that Bloomberg and Steyer could invest in resolving with their unlimited wealth.

So when Judy said she felt safer with her husband carrying a gun but wondered if he would kill her if they had a fight everyone laughed. Bizarre. But I guess not really.

Right?! I actually said aloud, "It's not funny for victims of domestic violence." I thought that was an odd moment. Then again, I don't really get what Judge Judy was supposed to be doing. She was campaigning for Bloomberg, but not officially?

Wondering why Judge Judy chose this hairstyle, she looks like Corey Feldman.  In addition, I don’t think she’s a very nice person, often cruel.

Cruel and misogynistic and classist and racist.  A total know it all who sees herself as the smartest person in the room.
She famously stated (while on a trip to Australia (?) that she did not support clean needle exchange programs and thought intravenous users should be given dirty needles.

I don't think she meant any harm with her joke. It was in poor taste in light of the fact that there are women living in fear of their abusive husbands who carry weapons.

I did like how she handled Missy regarding guns. She told her that gun control does not mean taking away people's second amendment rights.

This was the second time I saw Judge Judy stumping for Bloomberg on TV.  She opened on Bill Maher show late last year and he didn't let her flesh out any reasons for her support without  interrupting and challenging anything she said.  Today was totally different and she was able to speak and explain her reasons for her support of Bloomberg.

I wonder if BW was off the table today.  She and JJ are said to be very good friends.  I would have thought someone would have asked how Barb was doing, makes me think not so well.  Also, her new hairdo,  homage to RBG?

And the word of the day in Whoopi’s world:  whatwhatwhatwwhat  😣

Exactly what I was thinking.  As many have pointed out, there’s a difference between taking out the head of a terrorist organization with no real national ties and a general in a country’s army (who’s actually in a different country at the time he’s killed.adds another layer).  Now you could debate what Iran is, but many countries have viewed the US as doing terrorist like things too.   The panel isn’t correcting this at all...there is a real difference here.

I think she was also making the point, that she doesn't agree with him 100% on everything, but Bloomberg's leadership and positions on other issues are far more important to her than his (more liberal than her) stance on gun control.

Oh i know!  Its horrible for her!  I dont know if she was going for a pixie-ish, or a bob, or a shag.  Shes got elements of all three hee.  I dont know, it just seems lifeless, like too much product. It was so much better before.  Makes me wonder if its been damaged and she cant do anything with it for a while, for it to heal.  Its not too awfully bad if shot from the left side, but straight on, nooo  Im sorry JJ, love you and nunya my business!  P.S.   agreed JJ does not suffer fools lightly

When they were talking about Iran now potentially building a nuclear weapon, MeAgain snarked that she thought that was solved through the Iran agreement.  Whoopi said, remember, the US pulled out of that agreement.  MeAgain replied that she was being facetious.
