I guess when she moved to the Metrocourt she didn't have time to pack all her "going out looking hot" clothes so she actually used a Metrocourt bath robe. I did like that she was able to straighten her hair even more in the few minutes that Felix allotted her, it looked nice.

Although when Britt said she lost her last chance at love (aka Jason) Carly was too quick with the "and my best friend" , I thought she might linger on the thoght of her  last chance with her true love.

I haven't been to a bar on Valentines since 1842 so is it a thing now that they decorate the actually bar with 'luve sucks" decor? since that's where the singles sit lol!

Nina's conversations with Sonny always make no damn sense. She was saying that  it probably isn't good that they are seen together. OK then why doesn't she leave? I don't think sonny asked her to stay or was holding her hostage or anything. SO STUPID.

I was hoping Kevin told Esme if she ever wanted to visit Spencer again she had to pick up her mess. Personally I don't care how messy she keeps the guest bathroom if she is the only one using it. I would be picking up any of her stuff she leaves in the common area and throwing it in the garbage though.

I guess it is just me because 2 "shots" would probably kill me but lately on a lot of different shows and like today on GH, women drinking SO much.  I don't know how realistic that is.

Ava, Molly and Trina looked very nice today.

Why would Brad having a felony on his record affect him being a lab tech? Those are mostly numbers, not names.

It was an anti-Valentine's Day party in honour of Lenny since Lenny didn't like the commercialism of Valentine's Day. Although I couldn't figure out why Phyllis disappeared, did she have someone better to be than at the special event at the bar she's running?

To renew his license he might have to report any criminal offenses and then his licensing board can decide if he is "upstanding enough". (In Ontario, my regulated health College wants to know if we have parking tickets when we renew our registration!)

Hard to believe once upon a time GH had good Valentine's episodes this one was not one of them.

 

It had its moments I did like the Laura/Trina scenes having a matriarch guide a young potential couple was the closest to an old school soap we're going to get.

I rather see Britt/Carly be friends than Carly/Sam even though Britt should get a better friend.

I like Esme and Trina and think Spencer is the bigger problem. He's using both of them tbh. Trina needs another possible love interest I don't want her stuck in the sidelines while Spencer gets to have all the fun.

I don’t like the idea of Spencer only openly pursuing Trina because he eventually realizes Esme is full on bunny boiler. He was about to kiss Trina before he left for prison camp, but he’s still buying Esme Valentine’s Day gifts. Let Trina date a little too.

Loved Britt's  wavy hair  but stay away from Snarly.    She is a nasty bitch who really uses anyone who tries to befriend her. I am glad the MTS have finally given her some Karma.

Whiplash much?  Everyone's so afraid of the Shrew with the Short Fuse that they placate her at every turn.  Also, her "I can't guarantee that there won't be trouble" followed by HER going up to Brad, but then later saying to Britt "Brad needs to keep away from me and my family."  Bitch, how about you practice what you screech?  God, she's insufferable and when Britt sobers up I hope she remembers that.

I actually liked the vibe between Terry and Chet--it would be interesting to see it actually get a decent amount of airtime, but I'm not holding my breath.  Though, boy, original dude really snowed Terry in all their text convos, huh?  I mean, someone whose that much of a douche you would think wouldn't have been able to hide it.

• closing the bar for any type of sport events especially something like the Superbowl

Is it prison or summer camp?  Esme can wander in, leave things with Spencer.   He can wear a hoodie with a drawstring (the better to strangle you with?).

IMO, Hatman's slow reveal is worse because Curtis keeps asking what's up and Hatman gives lame nonanswers. Then he gets annoyed that Curtis is understandably angry and frustrated with said lame non answers. At least with Esmé there isn't that kind of tease. They've more ignored it than anything else.

I'm not familiar with all that, as I only started watching again recently. Hey, Jason is "dead," and Sonny and Carly are on the outs, all good in my books. Strangely, I find those two more tolerable when they're not together, but I hate them always. And their hypocrisy knows no bounds. Really, Carly? You're gonna get Nina for all the hurt she's caused?

Anyway, so I've started watching again. I mean, how bad can it be?

The positives:

- BLQ/Chase/Ned/Olivia/Mac/Felicia with Bailey...thats it. Plus those family pics were too cute.

Though I dont like this whole "lets run a test" on Mac. Dont you touch that silver fox.

Everything else was tres boring:

- Stop doing this whole "Blame Austin" only to have him swoop and save Maxie when no one else could. And stop acting like Maxie/Austin have chemistry.

- Does the writers think Carly is Sarah Connor or some shit? She always says she is ready to wage a war, but nothing comes of it.

- This whole Willowtonin storyline is basically a boring/Badly written version of OLTL Jessica/Natalie story.

Today's  Episode

oh yay we start with Carly.  Avery and Donna crayon'ed her a picture. Divorce Lawyer shows up.  Lawyer wants to go over stuff and Carly is like. i TOLD you, i just wanted options. Divorce Lawyer is basically like "so you don't wanna get divorced then?" Carly assures her she does. but she doesn't want to go to war. Lawyer wants all the details. of why Carly wants to be divorced.  Lawyer gets infodumped. anyway this lawyer really wants to take Sonny for all he's got. WHen asked if Sonny will hurt her, Carly goes no. but he will make it ugly. Lawyer goes we have a secret weapon - Sonny himself. Lawyer is like. look. you can get everything without doing anything because of Sonny's rep. Carly is like you want to use me to get Sonny. Lawyer is like well Al Capone got caught on tax evasion so.... anyway. Lawyer is all. "we can also get you sole custody of Donna." Carly looks intrigued. Carly then goes. "but I did that already with Michael and Morgan I can't do that to Donna". 

Lawyer is like okay why call me, there are nicer lawyers to do this. What do you want? flashback to Nina rubbing it in Carly's face that she wants Sonny and Carly slapping her. (so clearly she wants to tear Nina a new one. nothing new). 

(Dear show. please remember Carly will be killed if she divorces Sonny. actually. wait. don't. let's see Selena Woo just snipe her ass out of existence). 

Nina runs into Britt. Britt is dismissive and then goes "how did you break up Carly and Sonny?" Britt infodumps Nina about Carly, Nina doesn't care she just wants to know if Britt knows where Peter could taken Maxie.

Willow is pouting that she can't go to France. Harmony runs into them and she wants to split. Harmony says she's busy. so course these selfish morons are like "don't you have time for your daughter? How hard could it be to track down my birth certificate." go kick rocks. 

Harmony is like I'm doing everything I can. Willow is like what's the hold up? Apparently Michael is doing a state wide search for Willow's birth certificate. Willow is calling hospital but no dice. Harmony is like you know. I really have to go. and splits. Willow goes "how hard could it be to get a birth certificate." Michael snarks if Harmony is even looking for it. My thing is if they are already doing this why the hell are you harassing Harmony?

Michael and Willow whines. They wanna know what the mystery is. Willow goes maybe your contact in the state department can find something(why does everyone have a contact? WHY does Michael have one? HOW does he have one? like why can't they just "write" to them geeze marie).  Michael is all "Harmony is avoiding us." I would too. to be frank.  

Willow reminds Michael that Harmony has an issue trusting goverment but then blows smoke up his ass how he has contacts with the government and ADAs in other states and isn't he soooo awesssomeee. Michael is like yes. but I don't see why Harmony can't be transparent in this. Willow goes yah it's simple to you but you had two stable loving families (heh. no he didn't). actually Michael snarks that too. but he is having a face that it's not stable (coz of Carly/Sonny).

Alexis is rejecting a freelancer. The freelancer wants to write about Nina and Sonny. (who would care? like... they don't even write Nina AS this high end posh editor, and who cares about who Sonny is screwing in the paper?). Freelancer is like fine, you're rejecting me? I'm selling the story somewhere else. (Okay are ALL these business offices in the Metrocourt?!). Harmony shows up and is like :( i am screwed.

Alexis says tell Willow the truth. Harmony is like yah even if I did, Willow can't get a passport. Alexis says she contacted Dianne, and there is no way to substitute a fake for a real BC. Harmony mutters. "no legal way."

Harmony wants a way out of this. Alexis is like. yah tell the truth. talk to Dianne, and then generate a document that's legal. Harmony goes "right." Alexis goes "unlesss you DON'T want this?" Harmony goes I've gotta go. Alexis goes that Harmony sounds like her when Alexis wanted to drink and resisted help. Why is Harmony doing that? Basically summed up Harmony doesn't listen to Alexis - but Alexis reminds  Harmony this will catch up with her. So talk to Willow. 

Harmony stops and goes she's a hypocrite. Alexis just goes no. but we'll work this out. She also says if there is more for the story.  - tell willow before someone else tells willow. 
 

Mac is getting infodumped. He's not pleased. he asks Felicia if Peter's victim is anyone he knows (well it's port charles so the answer is kinda "yah, it is.")  Anyway he's freaking out that Maxie is kidnapped and wants to go find her.  Epiphany comes back and yells at Mac. what the hell bedside manner is this? Mac shouts that he hates being trapped here. Felicia goes I have good news. Baileylou is alive! Mac lights up like a Christmas tree. They can't wait to take her home and Spoil her. But Mac goes I won't be myself until we get Maxie home, Bailey in her arms, and Peter in jail. 

Baileylou is looking adorable (but so small for almost a year y'all). BLQ is sad that she might have to give up Baileylou. they wonder what happens if maxie is gone for good.

Ned and Olivia come to say bye to baileylou. Olivia is like this is more of a goodbye to me too. Everyone has sad faces. Ned apologizes to Chase for his actions. Chase goes if i have a daughter i wanna be a father to her like you are to BLQ. Olivia teases BLQ that Chase likes her. BLQ goes nope. it's Baileylou he loves. I'm just part of the package. both chuckle. Ned takes Baileylou back and tells her she'll always be a Q for them. Ned/Olivia say Chase is also part of the family. They take pictures.  And now it's time to give Baileylou to Mac and Felicia. Olivia starts to cry. Ned goes "you will ALWAYS have a home with us, Baileylou." 

Mr Sheffield is wanting to find Peter before the authorities do. Austin comes in and roughs him him up. he wants to know where Maxie is now. (new credit music. still sucks).

Mr Sheffield is insulted that Austin thinks that Sheffield would endanger a child. Austin is like you played me. Sheffield laughs at him. and says he has no proof. Basically Sheffield goes "You can't hurt me you too a vow." Austin goes "yeup! i made that vow, but you aren't my patient!" and whips out a syringe. Lisel is like "you don't wanna do that. you are making my friend upset, Herr Glock!"

Austin says "this manicured weasel knows where Maxie is." Sheffield is insulted. Austin goes shoot him. Sheffield goes "it wouldn't be the first time. Austin goes You shoot him, I'll patch him up.. Lisel goes. why do i need you when I can do both, backwards and in heels. (heheh).She tells Austin to put the syringe away or i'll leave you to bleed out. Sheffield is like do it anyway!. Austin does it. Sheffield thanks Lisel. Austin goes, "Why are you giving him a pass, don't you care about Maxie?"  Lisel goes if it wasn't for Austin, Maxie and Bailey would be together and safe. You've done enough or do you want to make things worse? Austin vows Maxie WILL be with baileylou, and Peter and Sheffield will share a cell. Lisel and Sheffield share a tender moment. 

Lisel reminds Sheffield she's with Scotty. Sheffield is like im sure that's amusing distraction, but so does an accordion . Lisel goes. you won't score points with me by being mean to Scott. Sheffield begs "then how can i get points with you?" Lisel breathlessly goes "by stripping down." Sheffield equally as breathlessly goes "yes?" Lisel says "and bearing your." Sheffield goes "YES?!" Lisel says "your humanity." Sheffield goes "Ohhhhh is that what we're calling it these days?" LIsel goes despite your glibness your family is your weakness. Sheffield goes yes. Then Lisel goes you know what Maxie means to me and her family. help me. Sheffield wants to know what is in it for him. 

Sheffield goes maybe sexytimes? Lisel is lie yah no. let's bond over making Peter suffer!! Sheffield is like yah! But then Sheffield is like I have a long memory you betrayed me!  Lisel goes. you betrayed me too! Both go "yah that's true." Sheffield goes I can't promise anything but i'll do what I can. Lisel goes. "that's all i ask." They lean in for a kiss but Lisel blueballs him by getting out of the way and leaving. Sheffield looks pained. Lisel looks.. sad? disgusted? maybe both? maybe resolute. 

Britt reminds Nina she barely knows Peter. so no she doesn't know. Anyway Britt goes. Sheffield got something to gain. Nina goes "Who would tell Sheffield?" Britt goes. "Speak of the devil."  and austin is there looking haggard. Nina is like what? why?! (But she kinda defends Austin). Britt goes. it's okay. Lisel will get Sheffield. Lisel improvises. lol Nina goes "Lisel knows? Get your affairs in order Austin!" hahaha.  Lisel appears at the hospital. and she's all smiles. She wants to talk to Austin alone.

Britt is trying to save Austin. Lisel is like I was. but now we understand each other. let's go Herr Doctor!. Nina is like "We warned him!!" Britt goes "speaking of warning, didn't anyone tell you about having Carly as an enemy." Nina is like yah i know. Britt goes "if carly has a chance she'll burn your life down." Nina is like whatever this is coming. If Carly wants a war. I'll give her a war. 

Carly doesn't want to go to war over Sonny because that is painful and sucks and she's done that before. What she does want (Carly smugly recites) is Nina to pay for every lie, pain and harm she gave to her famiily. Can Rebecca do that? Lawyer goes. "Well we have to start somewhere. let's talk about my retainer." please. God. let someone say this Carly one day. how is she not dead.

Harmony goes. "yes there is more to tell."

Michael's contact tells Michael that Willow doesn't exist legally. Willow is confused. 

Olivia and Ned is sadz about losing BLQ. Ned says it did bring us closer as a family and BLQ is more selfless than we thought. Olivia vows we'll always be there for BLQ. they hug. 

CLQ has Baileylou. Felicia is all OMOG BABY.. Baileylou has the best smile. my heart melted. 

Lisel tells Austin the "plan" worked. Lisel placed a chip on Sheffield's lapel. they overhear Sheffield saying he and Johann has to silence peter once and for all. (WILL SOMEONE DO IT?!) (it also sounded fake btw but we'll see what happens).

I really enjoyed Ned, Olivia, Chase and Brooklyn with Bailey Lou. It made me smile and it made me a little misty eyed. Like I have said before, I wouldn't complain if through some huge recon, they made Bailey truly belong to Brooklyn and Chase. Not going to happen,  I know, but they do make a sweet family.  I don't object to the name "Louise" generally but "Bailey" really fits that sweet baby better.

Harmony has to be lying because there’s no way that this is the whole story. It would be annoying but Willow is hardly the first person to be born off the grid and there’s processes in place to resolve that. Yeah maybe Millow won’t be able to go to Paris until it gets fixed but the girl forgave her mom for facilitating her rape by a cult leader. Why would this be what stops Willow from talking to her mom?
 

Also, Millow sounded dumb for asking Harmony for the birth certificate when they were unable to order a new one from the website or hospital. Obviously something is up and why would Harmony magically have another copy of Willow’s birth certificate just lying around?

I’ll admit that I ffwd that Carly scenes today because I’m over her but going by the recaps, it’s for the best. The messiest part of their divorce would be Sonny fighting it and possible custody issues, which Carly already shut down. There’s no way they don’t have a pre-nup with all of the financial details already ironed out and this marriage has only lasted 6 years so she couldn’t take him to the cleaners like the lawyer claimed no matter what he did.

I really hate that Felicia and Mac are taking the baby home now. They already have the two older children, it's very disruptive for the baby to lose her primary caregivers, and she's got Mac sick and she's no spring chicken any more. Why can't they just wait till Maxie gets back.

I hate how this show treats babies like commodities.

Why is Alexis' computer desktop picture of Paris and the Eiffel Tower? That's kind of heavy handed.

Why can Michael just postpone the trip to Paris? It's not like they are going to attend a special event there. There aren't even plane tickets since he's taking the private plane.   Willow constantly kissing his ass is disgusting.

Britt, Nina kept the secret of Sonny for 6 months, that's not "close to a year". But Britt and Nina teasing Austin about Liesl is the funny I needed in this episode,

Carly gets herself a lawyer who calls herself Esquire.

I agree with that . Baily Lu is settled and has a routine. Felicia could visit and start to learn it and then start to introduce the other kids (who are also going to need some special attention right now due to their missing mother). So ya, lots of reasons Bailylu should stay put for now. But she is so dang CUTE I get why Felicia would want her.

 

Is there different new credits for different days? I didn't see Sonny or Carly or Joss or Cam. It goes fast so I watched twice but today seemed like the occasional people like Epiphany and Mac.

I think on the flipside. maybe it's just slightly easier for BLQ to let Baileylou go now. Yeah theoretically we want to see some of the realism (like maybe Baileylou not being a happy bundle of love everytime she's with someone she doesn't know lol) but like the night before she was taken, BLQ was saying Mommy is here, and she knows how to comfort her. Now that the secret is out, maybe a part of her just wants to like... for a lack of a better term - end the transaction. just let Felicia/Mac deal with settling Baileylou, James and Georgie, and she needs to start getting over her broken heart. Which i do hope the show does address kinda.

They never should have given her the first kid, not because I think she hates children, but maybe that shouldn't be her path. She could be the fun aunt to Emma and Lulu's kids and focus on her career in fashion. But it is babies all the time with this regime.

Britt warning Nina about what a nightmare Carly is was great, she should stay in that mindset and not do shots with her again.

I get that it was part of a setup Dr. O and Austin planned, but I like the idea that Dr. O is always armed, that she's got a Glock stashed in her cleveage or something at all times.

Mr. Sheffield had me chuckling in this episode, first when he drily noted that Dr. O has shot him before, and then when he compared Scotty to an accordion.

'I'm sure Bozo (lol) will take them in and not have the siblings separated. I remember on ATWT when Jake from AW was on it that Jamie took in Kirkland to raise because he didn't want Kirkland/Steven(Jamie's son) to be separated.

I'm not opposed to Maxie being a mom but I think it would've made sense to have just given her James. Georgie and Bailey weren't needed although my biggest issue with Georgie is that Spinelli is her father and I have never bought Maxie being attracted to Spinelli to begin with. Bailey is pointless because there's already a Faison grandchild in James. I'd even take a retcon that Bailey is Brook Lyn/Valentin's kid than have her be Maxie's.

Speaking of Brook Lyn I'm annoyed at people acting like she's so selfless(fortunately Brook Lyn has self awareness in that regard) when she did this as a cruel lie to begin with. I mean I don't like Valentin that much but even he didn't deserve that and I hope he does still hate her.

I know that it seems like Felicia and Mac are always taking Maxie's kids but really no one raises their own children on this show. Rich people like Carly, Olivia, Valentine and Michael have nannies, Lulu and Liz use grandparents or older siblings.

The opening credits seem to change depending on who is on that day. I remember Guiding Light used to do that, have the opening credits show the characters whose story is on that day.
