Michael and Juliana: She's Not! a Prostitute

Michael Jessen met model Juliana Custodio de Sousa during a yacht party in Croatia. The first time they applied for a tourist visa for Juliana to come to America, it was denied. Michael then proposed to Juliana and applied for the K-1 visa. Now, Juliana will be leaving Brazil and traveling to Greenwich, Connecticut and meeting Michael’s kids for the first time.

Quote

“A lot of people may think I’m an old sleazy rich guy going after a beautiful young model from Brazil,” Jessen said, acknowledging their 19 year age gap in a preview for the season.

Juliana is an actual model, not just an Instagram one.  When this info was found, it was also reported that she works through a reputable agency. Other comments were that the agency books models for catalogs, fashion shows and parties, like the yacht parties. It was all "nudge, nudge, wink, wink, :cough:sex workers:cough:" I hope she learned from Annie and made sure any past work of that type was deleted from her social media. Some of the people who care about things like that are pretty brutal.

In other news:

This will not post from her Instagram so I'm linking to MethHead. I really hate to because he is so scummy.

At least he didn't say he fell in love with her mind, like Robert, with Annie the Nannie.

I think these 2 might be good for a decent 5 years, (before she dumps him for a younger guy) if their expectations are realistic.

He is her meal ticket and she is his sex toy and arm candy, to get him through his midlife crisis.

And this is the type of transactional relationship that I'm generally okay with.  As long as both parties are adults of sound mind and one wants to trade looks and youth for financial stability....have at it.

But I don't want to hear him whine about how she doesn't "love him unconditionally" or whatever when things go south.

*********************†*******************

I also wonder why these two went on a reality show in the first place.

He has gobs of money, he knows he is going to be judged a creepy old man, he has two very sweet kids who may not be ready for the fallout.....like why?

Is this supposed to help her modelling "career"?  Has this show helped anyone's modelling career?

I agree.  When both parties are getting married for the "wrong reasons" and both know it, I don't really have a problem with it, (though I don't love it either).

In most of these cases, it seems like one party is conning the other, or sometimes they are exploiting each other.

In this case, I get the Juliana pretty much know Micahael wants her for her looks and Michael knows she wants him for his money and the greencard.  As long as they are both happy with the arrangement, they will stay together.

I found it amusing when Michael was explaining how his marriage ended, because they had grown and changed and were not the same people as when they married. Yeah, I'm sure Juliana's personality is set in stone, so no worries about this marriage failing.

I'm still looking for the catch here.

Greenwich is snooty rich.  Maybe you get some boozy divorcee down on her luck and in need of attention to do one of the housewife shows......but this low class shit circus show????????

I routinely tell my friends that I feel like housewife shows and the bachelor are too classy for me now.   Those people wear ballroom/peageant wear to the reunions.....Angela had on legit flip flops!  Totin' eggs!  Ceasar had one nail half done in red polish and a jean jacket!  Darcy looks like she got attacked by a swarm of angry bees!

Point being that 90 DF participants are low brow even by reality show standards.

And you're not even a cast member for more than a season, unless you're Angela or Darcy or Pao.

This show has never furthered anyone's modelling career.  Unless you want to model in front of a  paint splattered ladder in an empty room?  Or you want some guy to take soft core porn pics of you in body paint.

I just wonder if there is more to the story because he has too much to lose. Unless he doesn't have as much as I think he has.

He seems like a fairly involved father, in a snooty, old money place like Greenwich his kids would surely be judged second hand because their dad is.on this low class shitshow and is going to air all his personal business to the world.

this makes no sense for him.  Maybe he is secretly poor and that house is just a fancy Airbnb.  It looks like a library from the Reagan era.

I think Greenwich is and it isn’t. I was born and raised in Darien, which has a smaller population than Greenwich (so fewer options for different types of housing) and in both places I think there are more and more younger people with new money, and all that that entails.

There are plenty of old money people throughout Fairfield County, but you also get people like Michael, who seems to me like a Finance Bro (though admittedly it seems like there is likely a trust fund situation going on as well). With Finance Bros, there’s often an awful lot of more-money-than-brains vibe at play.

And not for nothing, but I’m the same age as he (allegedly) is, and I’m feeling DAMN YOUTHFUL right about now when I look in the mirror. HA.

Also, I work at a medical school/teaching hospital, and one of the other parents at our daycare has a Porsche Macan (small SUV). Just saying, MICHAEL.

That's an interesting take on it.  I had not considered that he might be a finance bro type, because I had always thought of Greenwich as old money.

LOL....my mom has a cayanne, so yeah, I can see the point on the car/finance bro type (according to him, he made his money in wine....which sounds like it could be as voilatal and risky as the stock market....or bedazzled guns....so it could attract the same personality)

I'm so interested in this couple because from the spoilers it sounds like the wife is in on/okay with the relationship. Getting your EX to marry you? So, I'm looking forward to this couple post show. Are they going to implode? Is Juliana going to get a modeling gig...

It also sounds like Michael didn't try to get Juliana over to the States on a tourist visa... but a work visa as it sounded like he was sponsoring her to model? I can see how that might have raised flags.

If she had just applied as a regular tourist looking to check out the sites of the States maybe she would have been admitted? But, if she stated she was going to the States to stay/work with a man 20 years her senior I could see how that would raise flags.

I don’t know for sure that he’s a Finance Bro, but I thought a chyron (or maybe an article I read) mentioned him being some sort of investor. OH! Maybe he invests in his own wine?? Who knows 🙂

That area attracts a ton of finance people who live there but commute to the city every day (Metro North New Haven line!) so there’s definitely a mix of old and new money at this point.

And also Stamford, which is the town/small city between Greenwich and Darien, has several corporate headquarters, once of which is the WWE!

LOL.  I got the impression he was in wine sales/dealing.  I watched an episode of American Greed about a guy in this field and apparently it can be lucrative (more lucrative if you affix fake labels to bottles of two buck chuck and tell people that it came from George Washington's wine cellar).

But, I can see how the industry could attract people who are more style than substance....or the new money "finance bro" type.

I asked my 21 year old son, who is my partner in 90DF watching crime, if Juliana is hot. He said, "I don't get it. She has the body of a 15 year old boy. Was he looking for that cause I thought all the old rich guys were after tits and ass. But I guess he can buy that for her once she gets here." And I cried a little over how well I have raised my son.

That's why Micheal was shocked to find out his escort was 20... he thought she was 14! Cool bonus, she satisfies his kink and she's legal.

She has the body of an editorial and runway model. Swimsuit and lingerie models have "curves." High fashion models do not. Juliana is trying for high fashion. Her measurements are in line with those of most top models working now, except for Kaia Gerber who has no hips. The reality was that Gigi Hadid really was too curvy for high fashion work when she started. She lost a significant amount of weight and her career improved. Some guys like tits and ass; some guts don't. What is and isn't popular in terms of models falls in and out of fashion.

You likely watched an episode about Rudy Kurniawan.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Rudy_Kurniawan?wprov=sfla1

I assumed that it must have been about Kurniawan because he tends to be the one mentioned most often. It turns out the American Greed episode was about Premiere Cru's John Fox who had a massive wine ponzi scheme.

Well, neighboring towns for Martha (Westport) and Dave (New Canaan). Not sure about old Harvey but not looking it up to find out.

Paul Newman lived in Westport, and his widow (Joanne Woodward) still does, I think. Major good points there. 🙂

I did not listen to this myself and probably won't, but the link was sent to me because Juliana apparently tells everyone that Michael is not that rich, they cannot turn the heat on during the day because it is too expensive, we viewers act like we know more about her life than she does and she's tired of the hateful messages she is getting.

She may have also insulted Larissa because Larissa got mad at her for something. Probably jealousy because Juliana landed a man with money and the best she could do was Colt. Two divorces and three children removed from your care because you are deemed a danger to them by the courts all before you hit the age of 27 limits your options, I guess.

I didn't think that Larissa's children were removed from her care, but that she voluntarily placed them with relatives because she could not afford to provide for them.

The producers are way too cheap to do that.  They wouldn't even pay to rent Tania's she shed.

If they actually film inside that house, I can believe that Michael rented it, just like sometimes "basketball wives" or "hip hop stars" or "real housewives" will rent a place for filming.

If they never film in the house, I'm perfectly willing to believe that the producers shot the outside of the house and paid a few bucks to the real owners.

Romantic marriage is a fairly new concept, AFAIK.

And totally agree that even in Western "progressive" cultures people get married for reasons other than love.

And I think those marriages have just a good a chance of survival...and maybe a better chance of longevity than those based on romantic love.

The rich guy would be like Darcey and wear on-trend brands such as Gucci - at least a belt or a sweater or sneakers.  We saw the plain baseball cap. It could be a rights thing to not show certain labels on the show.  Darcey wore a lot of noticeable stuff with logos. Old money would be less conspicuous. The folks would definitely have some expensive stuff but no vulgar displays. He would also have better fitting shirts.

I am not rich but I do take some stuff to the tailor to hem or adjust a bit to fit me better. Most people are not off the rack sizes.
