The  production team is playing tricks on us. From that professionally decorated birthday cake; to the nice, clean, modern clothes everyone is wearing; to the fact that Evelyn‘s parents own a restaurant—it’s obvious there are substantial parts of the town we aren’t being shown.  I’m convinced there is a huge shopping mall down the street from Evelyn‘s grandmother’s real house (which is a three bedroom, 2 1/2 bath ranch with cable, internet, and a pool).

I have to address this since I've lived/worked in India. This simply is not true. It would depend on where they were living and where she needed to go. There are many places where one would be hard pressed to find an English speaker and I'd say the majority of auto rickshaw drivers don't speak English, at least mine never did. I always left the hotel with destinations written in Hindi on a cheat sheet, as well as my hotel card in Hindi too. Having said that, the place they are living looks like educated middle class folks might be renting there and thus yes, they ought to have at least one neighbor living there that speaks English. She could start taking a language class somewhere and meet other expats, she could go online and see what expat clubs there are in her city and join them to meet others. I mean, if she's alone and feeling isolated, which I would if I was her (she's not exactly a world traveler so I feel for her and she's done a great job dealing with a new environment so far), I'd seek out expat clubs and groups, and do language classes and that with some weekly sight seeing...I should think she'd have quite a full schedule! Also, Sumit could have easily arranged for an auto rickshaw driver and/or a taxi driver to be on call for her so she could phone or text them to do drop offs and pick ups. When I was in Delhi for extended work trips of a couple months at a time, I had a taxi driver who frequented my hotel. I liked him and asked if he would drive me on weekends and when I needed to go somewhere and he was happy to do that. It was so easy, and cheap. She should be making the most of her time there with a 'due date' at which time if Sumit isn't back for good, then she flies home. I honestly think he loves her, it was so sad when he said nobody ever thought he was handsome before...He needs to sack up and tell the parents he wants to marry her, and that's that. Or just go to the US with her.

She made it a point to embarrass aladin on national TV by pointing out how he isn't good at sex.  She chastised him about being a two minute lay in the TH.

What do you think her reaction would have been if he had pointed out that she is old and ugly?   What if he had bought her a paper bag to cover her face with during sex?  What if he had said in the TH that it was hard to last longer when he had to look ar her flabby body and sunspotted face? Would she have been as cool, calm and understanding as she expected him to be?  Would she find it as amusing?

And she can miss me with her little "gee, I have no idea why he would be so mad?"

Eye of the beholder and all that.  Aladin, with his big pickle head, big teeth and Rico Suave demeanor makes my skin crawl.  And men from that part of the world are one of my favorites. They’re about neck and neck to me in the looks department except that she looks ancient.

It is all subjective of course, but I almost think she is objectively physically unattractive even if that's maybe not possible.

Like I couldn't imagine the guy or gal who would be like "hot damn, I can't wait to hit that!". Whereas even though I don't find Jessie attractive and I did not believe that SNL character stepdad who claimed women threw their panties at him...I could see where someone would find him physically attractive.  I just don't see that with Laura.

I find her annoying too, but I could maybe understand someone finding her attractive based on her personality, at least initially.

I will say, in aladin's defense, I think he generally handles things reasonably well.  He has a bit of the Rico suave I suppose, and I'm sure he has an agenda.  But I find Laura annoying so I'm starting to be okay with her getting scammed.  She seems like a passive aggressive nag who may enjoy a bit of gaslighting.

I normally watch 600 lb life where 1 episode follows a year. This show seems to follow a day/episode. Is it because the editors realize nothing actually happens and the whole premise is a farce? The couples all have social media accounts so it’s no secret what has transpired in their lives....like the kardashians, the show tries to build suspense where there is none.

Very good points.  However, at the airport, he did tell her she looked "different" and then gestured big belly.  She looked humiliated.

On the sex toy, someone should tell Aladin that while it may be insulting, if he uses it on her, he may not have to actually stick his um, member,  in her.  That seems like a win for him.

I think the sister's reaction gives us some insight into tiffany, something is up with that family if they both have these extreme, irrational responses and logic. How ridiculous that tiffany told her sister to call Ronald "brother"; who does that?

Tiffany' s childhood may not have been very stable, she seems to crave a level of intimacy very quickly regardless of whether there are costs and red flags.

He said that, but the tone he took when he said it was kind and so I don't think he had the intent to humiliate. She did.  And the fact that she later brought up that he hadn't "worked on things" as she had told him to do reinforced that that was her intent with me.

Agreed, and I am not for any man that would spend longer than me looking in a mirror, which isn’t long at all.   Roos (with all his sculpted hairdos), Jesse, Aladin, Azan, etc, there are several examples on this franchise.

This is fine as someone's mom.  But this behavior with a s/o is just.....no.  I don't believe in teaching any man, especially a 30 year old man how to have sex.  Particularly if there is ample evidence he doesn't want to learn.  She should either accept it or  keep it moving to the next set of hot abs she can buy.

Humiliation as motivation is mean spirited and passive aggressive and that's Laura to a tee.  

I also think if you are dating a personal trainer you should expect he of all people is going to notice weight gain.  Their job is to look at bodies all day.

I really REALLY want to know how Jenny has managed to make it through 60+ years of life on this planet (AND MANAGE TO KEEP CHILDREN ALIVE TO ADULTHOOD!).  I'm absolutely blown away by how clueless, needy and helpless she is.  I keep envisioning Sumit coming home to her withered away skeleton still sitting on the bed where he left her because she was too stupid to know how to feed herself.

He literally had to promise to send her food.  Are single women not allowed on the streets of India?  I get that there may not be all the American amenities but even if she had to stay inside, there is absolutely no food delivery?  She can't translator app with her neighbors?  Is she scared of them?  

I don't know what to think because she spent my months.... MONTHS in India visiting.  How does she not understand anything about money or how to survive?  Does her Google not work either?  Is it different Google?

I'd be eating my way so hard through India.  And with a bathroom and toilet to myself I could be sick every night.

Oh yeah...show...I have questions about Sumit that are important culturally (and we either don't know the answer or I haven't been paying attention):  Is he the only child?  Is he the only son?  The oldest?  Answers about that are going to tell me a bit more about his situation.  If he's the only child or only son or oldest, he has obligations toward his parents as they become older.  Those include a nice Indian wife (of childbearing age), some kids (ideally, of the male variety), and eventually having them move in with him.  If he isn't any of those things, he may get a little more leeway with his parents.  I mean, not now that he's been lying to them, but...you know. 

I do find Aladin hot, but the more the spend time with him, the less hot he gets. As many of you have pointed out, it is now clear that Laura is a pretty mean bitch with anger problems.  She IS like MAGA Angela and Danielle in that she believes she is a gift to Aladin b/c she is a blonde white woman, but I think she clearly has issues around confidence and being suspicious of him.  Here is the thing and YMMV, but I'm in my mid-30s and have zero interest in teaching a dude a bunch...we should spend time getting to know each other and our likes and dislikes in the jiggy jiggy sense, but I have no interest in teaching a dude...how to properly ride a bike.  Nah. No. Nope.

Evelyn and Corey--- this just seems faked by bad actors.   I would think a religious Mormon (which he claims to be) who wants children is not going to be with a woman who thinks his religion is a cult, does not want children, and wants a lot of his money.    Also he also seems to have a bit of a smirk, which makes me think he is pulling one over on us.

Tiffany and Ronald---the only thing that will stop this marriage is for Ronald to murder Daniel.  And maybe not that.

When I heard the scream, I immediately yelled out loud (to no one in particular, I was alone):

Completely different country and all that, but it was the first thing that came to mind. 

Happy that it was just the aunt who was showing up. Daniel must have been relieved to see a familiar face.
