Jenelle: Birther Of 3, Mother To None

Guest

Everyone knows Ensley does not have Down syndrome. Posts suggesting that she does will be removed and warnings issued. Posts such as these leave the impression that an arguably unflattering picture could somehow be construed as a child being disabled is considered ableist and is against the rules of the board.

There's a reason Jenelle and all of her siblings are fucked up.

Jenelle and her siblings also share the DNA of both Barbara and their dad, so all the fault cannot lie on Barbara's behaviors.

The new thinking in this century is not "nature vs. nurture" its "how do nature and nurture interact with and influence each other."

Children with certain genes have been found to be more reactive to negative environments in childhood than others. Its pretty interesting stuff.

As someone alive and cognizant in this century, I am fully aware that people have genetic predispositions to things. This still does not mean Barbara has been a good mother to Jenelle or her other kids. They are both guilty of really toxic behavior.  How was Jenelle's overly reactive DNA involved in Barbara talking to a first grader about his mother getting boyfriends too quickly? (Of course, she is a better parent than Jenelle's absent father. I will give her that.)

  • Love 1

Barb may be generally kind to Kaiser but she's not letting Jenelle pull any "oh, mom can you just take him for the weekend?" bullshit. We all know where that will lead and full time care of another baby will put Barb into an early grave.

I also suspect she doesn't want to get too attached, the way she did with Jace, because then Barb'll either wind up with Kaiser permanently or else it'll be so much harder when he goes to Nathan('s parents) and she never sees him again.

I'm born-and-bred New England, just like Babs.  I can't help it;   I love her. (I deliberately and thoughtfully pronounce my "r''s, thank you very much)  I know she has some issues, but she  reminds me of my husband's aunts.  When I read their Facebook posts, I just die of laughter, I can hear their voices saying those crazy things.

what on earth is Jenelle gonna do when she can't just throw Kaiser in her crib to get rid of him;  when he's two or three or four and very mobile, into everything & testing her patience?

Obviously, everyone knows that, but it's not like an absentee abusive alcoholic father and being raised by personality disordered Babs didn't have an enormous effect on not only Jenelle, but both of her siblings as well, and all of their subsequent behavior/arrests/neglectful parenting.

Jenelle isn't going to do a darn thing about it It's not going to be her problem. I'm pretty sure she will have pawned him off more or less permanently by then - either to his father, his paternal grandmother or somebody else. Having an active and mobile toddler is going to put waaaay to much of a crimp in her lifestyle, dude!

Honestly I would respect her or Leah/Amber so much more if they did porn. At least they would be doing SOMETHING. They act all high and mighty because they said no to porn requests...oh yes, you're the Queen of Sheba. At least porn is honest! Its purpose is obvious. You're all pretending to care for your children.

What I think is really hilarious is that Jenelle said the high compensation offered to her wasn't worth compromising her morals. While that would be hilarious in itself, it was suggested in a media outlet shortly after that Jenelle actually accepted the offer but it was rescinded when she tested positive for an STD. This is a rumor, not fact, but I have no trouble believing it.

Where's Nathan mother? Please take the roll. Babs is suppose to be grandma not raising her daughters kids because she wants to keep a man. I know a grandma raising her 6 grand children by four dads. Mom is chasing men or in jail. I'm happy the kids aren't in foster care but still. The woman is in her 60s taking care of a toddler. If babs gets kaiser what if Jenelle gets pregnant again? Ugh. Jenelle stop reproducing

She will only have him two days a week. Ha  If she could, I think she would let Nathan's mother have Kaiser permanently Wednesday-Sunday.

I know we don't know as much about Nathan's mother but seems to me like she's in a similar position. Supposed to be a grandmother, and possibly already raising his other kid (I'm never too clear on who has these kids sadly). My hope for him is someone takes him in and loves him, but there sure aren't a lot of good options.

No, Nips other child, a little girl named Emerson, is being raised by her maternal grandparents who have full custody, Don't know much about Nips first Baby Mama, but she must be a total screw-up too. Nips is only allowed supervised visitation once a month, i believe. So hopefully Nips parents can take over the Roll when Jenelle gets tired of him. They already have him a lot now.

Like I said, it might be an editing thing. For both Barbara's sake and Kaiser's, I hope that's true.  Because we never see Barbara interacting with Kaiser. And when she does, she says things that sound like what an acquaintance would say upon greeting you in the grocery store. "Oh, he's so big now" kind of thing. Most grandmas, the first thing they do when they walk in the room with a grandBABY, especially, is go pick them up and love on them. I personally think she's so angry at Jenelle all of the time that she can't separate that child from Jenelle.

In terms of trying to protect *her* heart, that's a pretty non-maternal reaction there. I don't have grandkids, just kids. But I'd rather my heart be broken in a million pieces than my kids suffer and feel neglect.  I don't think the only options available are you just sort of ignore the kid and the problem or you have to raise him yourself. I am very familiar with a situation where a grandmother (with a personality disorder, I might add) totally preferred one grandchild (a girl) over the other (a boy). Thankfully for that kid, everyone else showed him love so the only relationship being damaged was hers with the boy. And even the grandmother loved him in her way did but her preference for one grandchild was completely obvious. Barbara is affectionate and loving with Jace but we really don't see that with Kaiser so I wonder if it is something similar. But poor Kaiser's got such a shitty home life that this is a case where affection from others could make a difference for him since he's lacking it in his own home.

There have been scenes in the past where Babs asked about Kaiser because when Jenelle dropped off Jace, or met her half way, she didn't bring Kaiser. Babs was saying that she never got to see him. Then there was an episode where she went to Jenelle's house and got to hold Kaiser, saying it was because Nathan wasn't there. I think Jenelle kind of confirmed in those scenes that Nathan didn't want Babs around him, because I thought to myself that he really things she stole Jace from Janelle.

There were some tabloid reports that Babs had Kaiser while Jenelle was partying her way across the U.S. a few months ago, and it was while she was refusing Nathan visitation. I don't know if that was just a guess, or if someone saw him with her, but it seems like she had Jace and Kaiser at a park or something, but not Gabriel, and it explained that she doesn't have him all the time, it was just for a short while that sister was taking work training out of town, but one of the comments said she was in jail. I never followed up on it, because I've read too much about these people that they are starting to blur. Insomnia sucks.

  • Love 2

It is possible that Barbara does interact with Kaiser but it just isn't filmed. She's barely around Janelle long before she gets screamed at. He's probably in his crib or playpen and Janelle has forgotten about him.

I recall Jenelle keeping Kaiser away from Barb. Can't remember why but it was probably just to spite her.

I think anytime Babs has shown concern for/attention to Kaiser, Jenelle has pretty much freaked out on her. (Like when Barb came over a few episodes ago and Barb suggested Kaiser might not be feeling well.) She'd probably start screaming "I know how to take care of MY son!" or accuse Barb of trying to "steal" Kaiser like she likes to pretend Barb did with Jace. So it's probably just safer for Barb not to act overly interested in Kaiser, lest Jenelle have a screaming fit.

Between watching the tragedy of Leah being allowed any time with her children that isn't supervised to Kaiser's picture online, (shame on it being allowed on here via link even if his head is edited out, and to any other TM affiliated site), it makes me literally sick to my stomach how Jace and Kaiser are treated. It makes me sick that Leah is allowed around her children. Enough is enough MTV. I am sick to death how Dr. Drew state teen pregnancy rates are down because of this show, yet never ever calls out the abuse and neglect these innocent souls are exploited. I doubt that was the first time Jace had such a meltdown when he told Barb to shut up. And I am sure Kaiser spends a lot of his time screaming in his crib. It is simply too much that here in the USA, we allow child abuse/neglect on TV as entertainment.

I agree with this SO much. If Kaiser is being cute, it's okay for Babs to laugh at him and tell Jenelle how cute and silly he is. But, if he's screaming like he has an earache or simply doesn't feel good, Barb has to keep her mouth shut or Jenelle will flip out and tell her to shut up and stop trying to tell her how to raise her kid.

  • Love 2

Maybe Barb never had the chance to bond with Kaiser since Nathan hated her and tried to keep the baby from her? Am I the only one who remembers Nathan doing this?

I remember and I'm sure many others do as well.

Barb may want to not get too attached to The Roll...she's got her hands full with Jace, she is 100% emotionally attached to him, and it's hard enough on her at her age to be a mother of a young boy, it's so unfair that instead of being a grandmother spoiling her grandson and having carefree fun with him she has to be his mom.

I can also see how she would want to guard he heart and not get too close to a baby that she may not be "allowed" to see, since the father of the year doesn't like her. Either way...poor Barb.

WORD!

I've seriously considered calling CPS, but there's really no physical abuse that we see.  Kaiser is being neglected, ignored, week after week and it just kills me to see it.  When she wouldn't even wash him up before throwing him in his crib, I knew without any doubt that Jenelle does NOT love him.  She has no feelings for him at all, except maybe irritation.  And the poor little guy looks just like Nathan; she probably sees Nathan every time she looks at Kaiser.  It's tragic that there's nothing anyone can do except watch.

I know that many people have posted that they want to see Nathan get custody of Kaiser. I guess it is because when Kaiser was a baby Nathan showed some affection/care towards him and basically because Jenelle is worse than Nathan.

Nathan is not asking for custody of Kaiser, though. In the last episode he said he was going to go for visitation and then custody later.  I have no idea if he has filed for either one, but it doesn't sound like he is in any hurry to try for custody. It might be all talk, like Jenelle getting custody of Jace.  I am guessing he would be okay with very limited visitation, like 1 weekend a month, or less. If he only gets to see his daughter once a month and isn't working to change that, we can't expect he wants more time than that with Kaiser. I tend to doubt he will ever file for custody.

I am wondering why he only sees his daughter once a month (if he actually does see her) and why the visits need to be supervised.  Is he currently working on getting more visits with his daughter and to be able to see her unsupervised?  I guess Nathan is better than Jenelle but I am not convinced he is much better. They both have failed their kids and neither one seem all that interested in doing what they can to make a better life for them.

I don't think Nathan is truly interested in custody of Kaiser. On a scale of Andrew (Jace's bio dad) to Corey, I'd put him between the two...but much, much closer to Andrew. I think when Nathan gets a wild hair to see Kaiser he might ring up Jenelle and see if that's possible, but he doesn't want to be responsible for him day in and day out. Nor does he want to be responsible for him for certain days, or adhere to a visitation schedule, as he never knows if something more interesting might come up on days he's scheduled to be with Kaiser. His desire to see Kaiser is like when I decide I want to drive 30 miles to a certain mall instead of going to the nearby crappy one. Sure, every once in awhile it seems like a good idea and I really want to do it, but I wouldn't want to do it every day, nor would I want to commit to doing it every other weekend.

That was righteous. Couldn't agree more.

BTW how scary is it to picture Jenelle as a surg tech - with her hairtrigger temper and instability???? OMG

Nathan has filed for full custody of Kaiser. There are docs on the net. He's laid out a pretty good outline of reasons why Jenelle shouldn't be his primary custodian.

Her constant travel and leaving him with strangers.

Her neglecting him and failing to nurture him.

He claims to have photographic evidence of Jenelle using drugs.

Her withholding Kaiser from Nathan and when she does allow a short visit, Uncle Dave does the arranging of the visit and supervises. Nathan isn't allowed to be alone with Kaiser.

He has evidence of her using Kaiser as a weapon to get Jessica to drop the assault charges.

It takes a lot for  judge to award full custody to the guy in the situation. I hope, for Kaiser's sake, they award 50/50 (or less time with Jenelle). At least the little guy can spent time with Nathan's mom and maybe there are other family members that will love him and not ignore him.

Well I am surprised, but very glad to hear that. As long as there is even a passing interest in Kaiser from Nathan, that will force Jenelle to be somewhat accountable to Kaiser. I mean, she's still a shit parent, but she's a slightly less shit parent when it behooves her to be.

  • Love 2

I wouldn't want to be the judge deciding between those 2. Nathan has no job (correct?), lives in a studio or 1-bedroom apartment (according to Jenelle), doesn't have custody of his daughter, and can't be trusted around her because apparently his visits with her -- just once per month -- need to be supervised. I am not sure about his drug use (aside from possible steroid abuse) or his criminal record. I know he was arrested at least twice due to complaints from Jenelle (larceny and domestic violence). Jenelle has been arrested numerous times, doesn't have custody of Jace, and the list goes on with her.

I hope Nathan's mom is a stable person who is providing a good home to Nathan's daughter and is a positive influence on Kaiser.

I was under the impression that Nathan was receiving disability from the VA? Am I wrong? Plus if he is going to school, I doubt he is paying for it himself so I would lean towards him using the GI Bill. Between the disability and the GI bill's living benefits, he would probably be making enough not to have to work. It might even be enough to support Kaiser and himself if it came down to it. As for the dishonorable discharge...it is really hard to get a dishonorable discharge, you have to be an extreme fuck up for one of those--the military doesn't like giving those out if they don't have to.  They will give out general or less then honorable discharges, which don't look great but the veteran can get them changed after a period of time if they put in the paperwork. Nathan couldn't receive any Military/VA benefits if he had a dishonorable discharge.

Not to say Nathan is great, by any means, just that that it is hard to make a judgment about his military background since we know so little.

Radar online said Jenelle said in court papers that Nathan receives $3K a month and that the disability was mental, not physical. PTSD maybe? I have no idea how accurate that statement is.

Nathan is less of a hot mess than Jenelle, IMO, but that bar is set pretty damn low. In that house of horrors, the most qualified person to raise Kaiser is Jace.

3K for PTSD sounds about right for 100 percent disibiliy.

But yeah, Jace is the most qualfied.

Why is Jenelle able/allowed to keep him from Nathan and decide he can only have supervised visits? Does she have legal custody right now or does it just automatically default to the mother in these dysfunctional situations until they go to court?

Also FYI jenelles 16 and pregnant is on Mtv right now. Poor Barb. She asked Jenelle to help her clean the house and Jenelle yelled that she was too tired and she was going out with her friends, and poor Barb said "I don't know whats gonna happen when this baby comes, you're not going to be able to just walk out the door." It's hard to watch, she has no idea what's coming.

It automatically defaults to the mother until a formal custody/visitation agreement has been filed with the court. She was letting Nathan see him for overnights until he got a girlfriend. That's when she decided that he couldn't see him anymore. Then the girlfriend was in the car when Nathan came to pick up his stuff that Jenelle had put in the driveway. Jenelle saw her in the car and flipped out. She threw a mason jar at her and hit her in the head. Girlfriend pressed charges, Jenelle withheld Kaiser and told Nathan he couldn't see him unless girlfriend dropped the charges.

But, when she was tired of Kaiser, she decided to give him to Nathan's mom for 5 days.  Nathan took Kaiser to Boston with his girlfriend. Jenelle tried to have him arrested for kidnapping. The cops told her he didn't kidnap him, that he was his father and Jenelle willingly gave Kaiser to him. She didn't even care that he took him to Boston. She was just pissed that his girlfriend was with them. But, it's fine and dandy for her to move Uncle Dave in after knowing him for a couple weeks.

Both of those idiots should have gone to an attorney the minute they split up and had a parenting plan put in place. Once they have an agreement, if Jenelle tries her shit again and tells Nathan he can't see Kaiser for whatever reason she made up that day, she'll be in contempt of court and Nathan can get the cops involved if he has to to see him.

I believe he had rage/alcohol issues and that was part of his military discharge (but am not sure), but he also had 3 DUIs before he was ever with Jenelle. I assume he also had some drug and/or domestic violence charges, but that's just a guess. It would have to be pretty bad for supervised visits to be required. Edited by Lm2162

Can you imagine how confusing this all is for Jace?  He is being raised by his grandmother while his mother *parents* his half-sibling and there was a step-sister (Nathan's daughter) but now she is gone and it's a different step-sister (David's) and there was the random kid who slept over who was David's sister's kid.  Plus there is an ongoing merry-go-round of Keiffer/Courtland/Gary/Nathan/random dick of the weekend who is Jenelle's eternal soulmate for all of 5 mins.  I don't blame Barb from wanting to keep Jace away from that crapstorm.

  • Love 8

I am glad to hear that Jace is in Boy Scouts. That's great! He needs constructive things to do with other kids.

I wish he was still doing martial arts. That would really be good for him. I have seen a few young boys who were disrespectful, had low self-esteem, and had family problems really blossom in martial arts. The leader (dojo? sensei?) was a great role model and commanded respect. He taught the boys self-control and to respect others. They gained confidence as they received praise for learning moves and when they moved up in belts. That would be great for Jace.

  • Love 5

Just looked at Jenelle's twitter. She posted "Time to go look at all this land so I can start building my house. so happy to be able to customize a house how I've always wanted it." I wonder if she knows that when you own a home, you don't sell it in a heartbeat so you can move every time you have a fight with your boyfriend? I'd imagine her home design would include a sound proof room to throw the kids in.

With the trail of broken leases in her history, I'd imagine her credit is in the toilet.
