cannot wait for GT to be gone because she has made Phyllis more unwatchable than even MS and that is saying a lot.

Me too. Cannot stand watching her. I actually FFd her brief moment with SM at Neil’s funeral, the only part I FFd in days. I noticed show cut her section in the tribute episode. Lmao. (There were pics in the mag of her and CLB and TEB at Jabot but they remained on the editing room floor.)

Sadly we will see her through May. She hasn’t announced that she’s done taping yet.

I’m already bored though. Is Summer going to be the Patty-esque angst for Kola?

Sigh. It’s so one note. Woman goes crazy for asshole who is lovey dovey with another woman. I hope this will shape up in a way I don’t expect.

It is not looking that way.  Unless she really is a psychopath.  Her convo with Jack seemed like she was trying to be professional.  Even her convo with Lola was okay, she even admitted she doesn't blame her, but says she probably wouldn't have sliced her some liver if she had it to do again.

Strangely, I think Dummer is trying to get past this.  She's worried about what everyone will think about her, so maybe that is why she is putting on the brave front.

But, she hasn't gone BSC, even in private.  She's no Mia 🤣

They could bring back Debbi (Devon's mom) great soap actress - say she cleaned up and went to school. She should have been for Neil or Jack. She and Nikki would be fun friends. They could recast too - must be a lot of great AA actresses in their 50's.

Cast a Mrs Martinez and make it clear she loves Jack BUT he's oblivious. He likes her and they dance around and torture viewers. Just her for now... more later

Gradually!

I’ve been sick at home from work so I’ve been watching. Why are they dressing Sharon in hotel drapery? That floor length burgundy dress was atrocious.

I wish they’d stop trying to make Kyle seem sexy. That love scene at the end of today’s Canadian episode was no good.

That's one of my favourite lines from the Carol Burnett Show where Carol was playing Scarlett O'Hara in Gone with the Wind. She's wearing the heavy, patterned drapes, complete with curtain rod across the shoulders.

Harvey Korman could barely hold it together in that skit. I remember when she descended the staircase in that dress I almost died laughing.

That may have been the funniest thing I have ever seen on television or in the movies and I’m 70 years old. It still makes me howl with laughter.

I love how not subtle soaps are. Lol

Oh, I'm selling that scene to myself as the writers recreating friendships on the show. Yes I am.

Besides, the scene with Dina's doctor had me snorfling.

And other stuff happened in Las Angeles/Vegas. I couldn't bring myself to care as the gilded cooter returned to its main order of business. All the while Sharon kept telegraphing "I'm a whole new capable me" with lines that contradicted the rest of the scene.

And in other instances of notable self-delusion, Slummer and Nick tried to have a conversation based on how deceived the dear innocent girl has been. Yup.

Dummer isn't getting past anything she is going to do whatever it takes to get Kyle back in her bed just like mommy she thinks sex means love.  Pathetic girl

So Gina is filming her final week (just saw on Instagram). That means just one more month of the neck jutting, a short break, then JAZZ HANDS.

Well, that answers my question of the morning. I just saw a couple of photos from yesterday that were tweeted by EB at "someone's" farewell party. I guess it was for GT. I was wondering if it could have been for Mia, but I don't think she's been around long enough for them to have a big cocktail party send-off.

I don't know where they'll go with this really. Maybe it was a wee test. But I don't think they're going to go this route. What about Michael? Is CLB just wanting to remain on recurring status?

One thing I do recall, though, is that Tracey Bregman recently lost her father (I believe), who if I'm not mistaken died of Alzheimers. There was a lot of emotion in that scene with Jack, and PB seemed to be moved compassionately - not passionately.

We were treated to a stock establishing still of Las Vegas.

Followed by a whole bunch of ludicrously unsubtle "Adam is coming" double [barely]-meaning lines of dialogue, visits to Dr Daddy Warbucks [who apparently can't close an attaché case], and Victor cocktailing with the "Queen of Las Vegas." Is that like the Queen of the Nile, only dryer?

Be still my heart.

One nice thing: Marla Adams killing it as Dina--only to become part of the Slummer Redemption Tour [Order those tickets now!].

Then, a not nice, tedious thing: Rebecca Barlow, whose purpose eludes me completely. She tongue-bathes Slummer and Kyle, does everything but make fuckee gesttures at Nick, then, differing on views of sexual activities, departs the scene.

However, there was a nice treat in the previews--Mia being arrested.

I loathe MS's Syph with the fire of ten thousand suns, LOATHE HER, of the porny twisty arm suck face position. She is a skank of the highest order. And I really loved when GT came on board, she used to be pretty good, but they've made her into an angry beast, which is a shame, because now we're stuck with dumbass, scene chewing Red Menace Chewbaca coming back, and that's enough to turn me off on this show.

I hate MS. Did I say that already? Am I a lone party of one...?

Being pleased GT is out does not equal being pleased Jazz Hands is returning. At least not for me.

I was never a fan of Phyllis or MS but I didn't feel the visceral hatred for her that I do with GT. From the minute she crashed Shick's wedding to this very moment I get angry just looking at her.

Not the most riveting of episodes, for me at least. Especially with THE BIG REVEAL...

"He's Alive! Alive, I tell you!" Okay, Victor Frankenstein, we got it. And it's falling a little flat after all the stanticipation, frankly. This may only be the case chez Pearlite however.

And Sharon tries to work out managing two men at once. Hmmm. All that glitters will have to be gold. Especially when we have to endure looking at those Vegas Jammies or whatever she's been wearing for the last two days.

Jeez, is Victor using you, hon? Did you blow out all those neurotransmitters getting that insta-BA? Does the heart want what it wants? Do bears poop in the woods?

Also some supremely boring material relative to Tessa's cold feet/vocal chords in the studio with Ana, who is apparently a bit of a bugger for discipline, where musical feelz are concerned. Fortunately, Devon, the empathetic billionaire steps up for some emotional healing. zzzzzzzzzzzz

For excitement, we had Mariah and her brick-flinger, complete with menacing text. And perhaps the creepy guy sitting in the coffee house, [I was so bored I started wondering who was managing Crimson Lights.] zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz

Jack/Lauren used to be involved so there's no need to chem test them. That being said while I was hoping for a Kyle/Lauren fling I'll take Jack/Lauren instead again.

Its age appropriate, Lauren could use a story and honestly she was a better character when she was more of a vixen than she is now.

Plus I preferred Michael as a stand alone character than one part of a pairing as well.

  • Love 2

Idk, I kinda like that Y&R has one stable, rock solid couple in Michael and Lauren. It's hard to remember now that they once had a lot of rough edges that they helped the other one smooth out and other than that stupid Ronan (I think?) story, they're the rare couple that turn to each other to solve their problems instead of other people.

  • Love 9

She did cheat on him with that Carmine dude.

I don't mind that one stable couple I just didn't care for Michael/Lauren being that couple.   I was a Paul/Lauren fan and Michael fits more as an anti-hero than romantic lead to me.

I thought it was going to be Nick/Sharon which I would've preferred they were married for a decade in real time before they split. That's unheard of these days in soaps and haven't even been remarried since.

It should've been Neil/Dru though but that will never happen(course I thought this before KSJ's untimely death).

Nick married Ol' Hammertoes aka Sage, shortlived as it was before she died in that car accident, and Sharon married Block O'Wood aka Dylan McAvoy, around the same time Nick tied the knot with Sage.

That's not counting all the interrupted marriages that neither of them get through to the "I Do's".  And I almost forgot, Sharon slipped in a marriage to Jack and that abomination to Victor as well.

And also, Nick married Phyllis - something I've tried to erase from memory, like the character.

I meant them being remarried themselves on Days Chad and Abby had 3 weddings already.
