Honestly, in that town, Jay would prbly end up being carried away from there in a body bag.

Hasn't she ever heard the story of the frog and the scorpion?! You can't be mad when the scorpion shows up, says, "hi, i'm a scorpion," and then acts like a scorpion.

If Jay is nervous about standing on his own to feet in the U.S. then he just needs to get on a plane and fly home. I'm sure Ashley would spring for a ticket.

And, she has been completely stupid. Jay has pretty well said that he was a scorpion from the beginning. He had it tattooed on his arm!

Right! Straight up BUSY BODY! They make the best neighbors bc they watch and tell everything that goes on. But she would be a nightmare for a MIL, sneaky, passive aggressive deer-in-the-headlights shit stirrer!

Real talk. Who is prettier - Kalani or Kolini? (no fat jokes)

Kolani, hands down and to me it's not even a contest.

Naw.  Look, I'm far from a Larissa fan, but I felt for her in that situation.   His cousin started that fight, immediately laying into Larissa without any provocation on her part.  He was calling her a bitch and other names and Colt never even attempted to intervene.  Larissa is in a new country and speaks English as a second language.  You don't let your male family member aggressively verbally attack her for any reason.  You stand up for your wife in the home you share, even if it's just telling them both to stop.  Hell, even if she HAD started it, which she didn't, it was his job as her husband to shut it down.  You don't let a grown man call your wife a bitch in her own home.  That is completely uncalled for.  And when he talked to her about it later he blamed the whole thing on her and gaslighted the shit out of her.  When your wife is upset because your grown male cousin was aggressively calling her a bitch in her own home you don't respond "well don't be a bitch."  Colt enjoys stirring the pot and creating drama with Larissa and his family members.  He's a snake.

She admitted to Debbie at the nail salon that she is a bitch.  Whether it is Cousin John’s business to point that out is another matter.

The one that sorta looks like Kyle Richards.......she's pretty when she's still and not talking or whining.  I used to think Kalani was really pretty, but her personality and the mouth breathing confused stare ruined that for me.

Which one is that? LOL Oliver's aunt/father? Or Oliver's mother?

I'm prbly the only person in the world who doesn't personally know this woman but who remembers this story. Hitchhiking teenager (Mary Vincent) gets kidnapped in California in the late 70s and her kidnapper cuts off both of her arms and leaves her to die on the side of the road. Does anyone else remember this story, which, at the time, was huge in the headlines?

Kolini always reminded me of this woman. Not making a joke! I think they look exactly alike and I immediately thought of Mary when this season first aired.

The K-girls' names are so stupid I can never remember which is which.

K-dumbo (doesn't realize Asuelo doesn't impregnate her without her consent) vs. K-baby daddy (her sister/boyfriend/self-proclaimed baby's father).

K-baby-daddy is, IMO, the prettier of the two, but the center part of her nose dips down to her lip, making her whole nose a very weird shape.  The nose bugs me almost as much as the girl.

And yeah, these girls have this unhealthy attachment, like they survived something.  I hate to think of tragedy, but these are not normal acting sisters.

But, she has 2 kids, and she keeps bringing jerk after jerk into their lives.  She needs to continue with therapy and be a single woman and a mom first.  Not go on t.v. bragging about getting the "D" 4 times a day, then crying because he's on Tinder.  She's now brought her children into this mess.  Heinous prior incident or not, this is inexcusable.

Yeah I always worry about the kids when people bring in anyone new, never mind someone obviously questionable in their behavior ("skinz" - what more does one need?).  Kids can be a driving force in helping someone heal - it's someone vulnerable needing parental protection, & someone else to think about besides oneself. We don't know what happened with her kids, but I do hope she's kept them far away from Jay.

This would apply to Eric as well given what we've actually witnessed - a total POS subjecting his kids to his new POA's abuse, allowing & excusing it, & then turning on them himself - totally inexcusable.

I think he is visualizing the words in English as best he can while he is speaking.  I don't know if he was formally taught English, but to me it looks like he is trying to picture how the words should be laid out in a sentence.  Alternate theory-  he learned it from Kolani, since she rarely makes eye contact while she's speaking.

Jay and Ashley.  When they were going into The Chapel of Love for Elvis to marry them, they were already married.  Ashley's engagement ring has one band.  The ring she was wearing at that point had two.  After The King wed them, she still had two.

Jon also had a wedding band on when he was hugging Fern after the make up.  I hit rewind twice to make sure. Sloppy!!

Kalani should have kept her pregnancy from everyone until about a month or two after the wedding, when she could announce she's pregnant, and would have likely gotten less backlash.  She was only 5 weeks along not long before the wedding, so she could have likely gotten away with it.

I think she could have gotten away with it until she gave birth.....

Pretty much.  A co-worker was equally far along when she got married (and it wasn't a rush-job - it was long planned), and that's what she planned to do.  And I'm sure she would have gotten away with it.  Sadly, she had a miscarriage.

Jon said very early on that he wears the ring because Fernanda asked him to, to ward off other women. They weren't married when she came to the States. And when visiting his mother in Chicago, she took note of it and Jon explained that he had been wearing it for a while.

Am I the only person who caught either Kalani or Kolini referring to Asuelo as 'it' at one point? They treat him as if he's a child, or not even a human being. Kalani is equally responsible for the pregnancy - maybe she thought that if she was breastfeeding she couldn't get pregnant, but at her age she is responsible for her own choices, including the choice not to use any birth control.  But she and her sister are just awful people and sweet, naive Asuelo deserves better than to get webbed up with that family.

I think Kalini and Kalani's dad really did a number on them.  He has taught them that Samoan men are garbage; I can tell that Kalini really believes it.  She detests Asuelo; I sense that if he were white, she wouldn't hate him so much, even if he did cheat on her sister.

Ashley tried to buy herself a man and got played.  I don't feel sorry for her at all.

Referring to any man as an 'it' is inexcusable, but saying it about the man you are about to marry is even worse! Clearly, they are both racist and it's all the more crazy because they need to go take a long, hard look in the mirror and see that they are hating on the skin that they have themselves. There's some really serious crazy going on there and it all stems from the dad.

The sisters may well have some kind of a survival bond, and if so, it's because they were raised under the dominion of Mr. Thinks With His Fists. The fact that the guy could even say that with a straight face was really disturbing. But, he also radiates this sputtering, angry energy. He also just acts mean and says a lot of really mean things. It's obvious that he really enjoys bullying the younger Asuelu who is more lover than fighter.

Mother Colonic seems simple, insipid and defeated. She's still under her husband's thumb. She responds with a false cheerfulness and trying to please everyone. It's very sad to watch. No doubt she was very ineffective when gigantic asshole used to rage when the kids were growing up.

Ashley thought she could keep Jay in house, like a gigantic, carpeted cage, and prevent him from cheating on her. She already knew he was worthless. Now all her time, money and energy will be absorbed by this Jay mess instead of going into her children.

Jay's still a scumbag who could care less about Ashley or her children.

If she's too stupid to keep him away at this point, she's just too stupid.

Could not agree more.  I couldn't stop laughing when she said she was looking for a man, not a boy, on the eve of her wedding to someone barely out of his teenage years. She's ridiculous.

Colt IS a passive-aggressive pussy. Also, I blame Debbie. For raising a pussy and for talking into the ear of the hotheaded cousin before he arrived. No doubt she did a lot of complaining about Larissa and what a gold-digger she thought she was!

Colt should have put his cousin into check long before he escalated to that point! Clearly, the guy has anger issues. Larissa turned out to be more of a man than Coltee because she stood up to him. She had more courage and conviction, that's for sure.

What was really sad were those kids. They didn't seem to react at all to their father's raging. Clearly they've heard it before. As has Flower-on-Side-of-Head.

I can't totally hate on Jay because he's 20.  I don't know many 20 year old's who want to settle down, especially not in this age of social media, where there seems to be an endless supply of people to hook up with.  I think Ashley thought that she, Ashley could keep this man faithful.  It's one of those,  "My love can change him."  or "Once he sees this, he'll never stray."  Uh huh, tell me another one, Ashley.

I think you're probably right although it's still curious. When most people visualize things in their heads, they don't literally look up towards the direction of their brains as if that's how they are going to see it, like it's parked up there on a tiny easel or something.

I kind of just realized that I look up when I’m searching for words or thoughts - haha. I think it’s just because it cuts down on visual noise (since most ceilings are blank). But now I’m gonna be all self-conscious about it. ;)

I don't have any siblings so i really don't know. But I just assumed this was more about Kolini being jealous of Kalani. She's married w/ two kids. Some girls are raised with that as their main goal in life. It wouldn't be acceptable to show the jealousy, bu the tears and frustration are still there. Just a guess.

I do have siblings:  a brother and a sister.  I'm a female, and my sister and I are very close.  I've been divorced for years, and I never had kids, while my sister is happily married to a great guy, 2 kids.  I have nothing but love and respect for all of them.  And many years ago, when my sister was single and I was the one getting married, she was my maid of honor, gathering all my friends together.

The crying that the one K sister does (wailing, actually) when her other K sister tells her she's pregnant is just not normal.  That's the kind of crying you do when your sister tells you she has cancer.  Not pregnant.

This K-K bond is just weird.  There is something psychologically off there.  Then again, my father is about as far removed as Father K-K as he could be.

The fact that Father K-K is so prejudiced against his own culture is so awful.  Prejudice is awful, period, but to openly be so disdainful of one's own people is just shameful.  And to lay that onto your daughters, as a "you better not marry one of them" is horrible icing.  Not a good man.

In the PA, consummation only applies to whether the Commonwealth considers the marriage valid or not (Mr. Funky's Aunt married a man who was in prison.  PA DOC doesn't have conjugal visits.  He died before he was released, so the Commonwealth of PA never considered their marriage "valid".  They had a marriage certificate and everything else, but never did the deed, so she wasn't entitled to anything of his in terms of his military benefits, etc).

I practiced law in PA and don't recall this at all (not that I recall everything...).  What happens to people who are physically incapable of consummation? Would the state deny benefits to the wife of a vet, for example, who could not consummate the marriage? I would think the disability rights folks would be all over this.

I don't know, but there was a news story done on them when he passed, and the reporter stated it as fact.  I would think he would have done his homework first.  Neither was disabled.  But their marriage was never consummated because no conjugal visits are allowed for prisoners.

Jay knew he wasn’t ready to get married. He had second thoughts and misgivings from the jump, yet at no time did we see him be straight with Trashley about it. If nothing else, I would expect a 20yo to have some semblance of a conscience.

Sadly, the “my love can change him” trope is common among women of all ages. If I could, I’d scream from the rooftops that if you think you are going to change someone, you’re NOT. They are who they are. I wish I could understand what went through Ashley’s head when she considered Jay to be a good marriage prospect. Aside from his good looks, charm and sexual prowess, he didn’t have a lot to offer a 30 year old mother of two.

When my sister lived in Jakarta, as a school teacher she could afford a housekeeper and nanny. Leida's clothing is not fashionable and the house in Jakarta looked like a community center. I think you raise a solid possibility.  Kolini has probably always been the (cough) "successful" sister.  Probably got decent grades, was athletic and all-around a non-problem-child.  I'm guessing that Kalani was always a fuck-up whose parents had to continually come to her aid, now they just do it on auto-pilot.  Kalani probably subconsciously still makes a mess out of everything because its the lazy way out and deep down, she knows that family will take care of things for her.  Kolini could be having a big old "its not fair" pity party in her head.  Kolini would probably love to be in a relationship and have kids, but she knows that she'll have to accomplish all that on her own.  To add insult to injury, she's being pushed out of the picture to make room for Asuelu.  Meanwhile, sister Kalani just sits there like a lump and gets babies and a guy and Mom and Dad pick up the tab.

I'm sure a lot of women feel what Larissa verbalized.  They put in the time and effort to look good, and they want a compliment.  But women who would like to have recognition from their significant other instead bottle up their frustration and their desires and just let them fester.

I was proud of Larissa for standing up for herself.  I would have been disappointed if she had shrank away and cried.

I wasn't trying to make it a chivalry thing.   More of a common decency thing.  If my female cousin came into my husband and my house and came at him in an aggressive way, I'd shut it down too.   You are supposed to stand up for your spouse, especially when they're being attacked by someone on "your" side.  There is simply no excuse for Colt's lack of action in that situation.

If my fiancé and I were in that situation and he acted like Colt did, then he wouldn't ever become my husband.  You're supposed to treat your intended like your spouse.   You don't go from letting them get verbally attacked by your family to suddenly standing up for them the day after the wedding.   And who cares if Larissa didn't seem frightened or intimidated?  Colt still should have stood up for her.  That's what any decent person does for their partner.

Colt should have asked John to leave if he couldn’t control himself.  But I don’t believe it’s fair for a couple to double team someone if the argument is not about them.  Provide the partner moral support after the fact.  But no bullying by strength of numbers.

The best time to tell your sister you're pregnant with Unwanted Baby #2 is not when you're wearing a strand of magenta penises around your neck or when she's under the impression she's the father of your current baby.

Omg I almost spit out my tea! That was too funny.

I don’t think men need to stand up for women.  Women can stand up for themselves.

Sure. But here is Larissa, in this country as a newcomer, and as the person Colt purportedly cares about more than anyone and wants to marry.  I'm sorry; I don't care if the genders are reversed or if it were a man  berating a man or a woman berating a woman- there should be some defending when the tirade gets nasty like it did.  Colt just sat there with his mouth half open,  looking like he wanted to crawl under a rock.  That was lame.

Colt has a way of telling off Larissa with a very calm demeanor. He could've used same such demeanor to express his support for her & tell his cousin to back off. It may or may not have prevented all the meltdowns, but would've spoken volumes to Larissa about her being most important in his life.

But the argument was about Colt and Larissa.

If some fly by night cousin comes into my house and starts screaming at someone I’m engaged to, we’re double teaming that fucker as a couple before we throw them out. Because how dare they come in my house acting like a fool.

But Colt is a passive aggressive momma’s boy, so of course he just sat there and let it go on.
