Gage lands a photo shoot for Jeff with furniture company Alder & Tweed; while the JLD crew scrambles to get everything in place, Jeff remains focused on Valley Vista; Jeff fails to endear himself to his new clients.

Sounds like Living Spaces (?) all over again, the company where Jeff was sacked a few seasons ago. Unfortunately, these deals may not be suitable for Jeff. He's been talking since pre Monroe's arrival about dialing back to 'boutique' jobs where the pay off is higher and the time spent away from the house is lower. This kind of deal, the owners are going to want a relationship with and handholding by the man himself, Jeff Lewis. I pity Gage for not realising this and setting Jeff up with this company. They are not paying for Meghan to style and design, they are going to want Jeff. I worry for Gage sometimes, I really do. I don't even want to visualise what Jeff and Gage splitting would look like.

I sort of see where Frankie was coming from at first about the doors but when he is told by Gage, Jeff and the assistant that they will just have it dealt with at a later time on the premises he needs to drop it. It should have never gone past the first no.

Gage will just have to go back to being a nobody with a real job again.  There might be a bit of an adjustment period for him, but he'll get used to paying for his own haircuts.  Maybe if he keeps going to Equinox regularly, Gage can land another sugar daddy and have a late-in-life rebound come-up.

Did anyone like that furniture?  Some of those chairs look very uncomfortable.

Jeff is not only a realtor, but, a licensed contractor too, right? I don't understand the issues with the city inspector.  I wonder if the guy really does have a memory problem.

Why couldn't Tyler be a little more demonstrative on the phone?  Wouldn't the pressure and frustration inspire you to tell someone something VERY bluntly? Like, do what Jeff said, damn it. There is NO discussion on this. His instruction seemed like a suggestion in the final call.

Sometimes, I do see why Jeff is so aggravated and angry.  lol

Why do people pretend to not be hurt when they fall down?

REALLY?  OMG.....oh well....how did he take on those jobs in seasons past? I thought he was the hired contractor.

No he is hired as a project manager/designer than hires a contractor. His realtors used to appear when he was buying houses, one of them is his sister in law.

What happened to this show?  All I saw was the whole bunch walking around in a tither, rearranging books, plants, Jenny carrying her usual folder .. all pretending to be busy.  It is a mish/ mosh of nothing.  Boring.  The only thing I like about this season is Monroe.

As I am tired of Jeff’s theatrics this ep was better for me. I like seeing the product of his work. The photo shoot was interesting to watch from delivery of stuff to final photos. This is what I want to see, less employee abuse, more House porn.

Did they ever say how they were going to deal with the car left in the shot?  You could still see it in a lot of the pictures.

If Jeff wants to have "project managers" then he is going to have to let them actually do their jobs and make decisions.  They look like Tweedledum and Tweedledee.

Really?  I went online and looked at the finished photos and didn't see the car.  Maybe, they lifted it out.

Here it is

they moved the car on the show last night.  The photographer also owned a Honda and he knew how to get the car out of park and into neutral, using a screwdriver.

Did anything ever happen with his paint brand ?  I did like some of the furniture from Alder & Tweed ( i think that was their name ) however, someone needs to tell Mrs Alder & tweed to lighten up on the old blush/contour -- she looked a mess. Megan's house looks lovely, wonder how she can afford that, single mom and working for Jeff plus Bravo ? I honestly didnt know until last week that Jenni isnt even an employee of Jeff anymore, makes this show sketchy to me - all made up, and no, I should not be surprised. :)

Having read in the epi 1 thread about Jeff and Jenni having a huge falling out, you can now see how he minimalizes and makes fun of her. It's subtle now, but building, and I wouldn't have noticed it without knowing what was coming. And Megan eggs it on, but she has always been sketchy. Megan was like a shark circling when Vanina was struggling.

I wondered if the housing inspector was having a go at Jeff because he's seen the show or if he was making excuses to keep coming back so he could get on TV?

Probably not the later since he was never shown. He might not even be allowed to give consent to appear.

I certainly think that Jeff can be very inappropriate and at times really steps over the line, however,  when I see what he puts up with sometimes, I do feel for him.  I'd be flipping out too, if I had staff that performs like he does.

I was also hyper-sensitive to this last night. I have a feeling watching this season is going to be a real problem for me given that information. I feel like Jenni humanizes Jeff.  She's the yin to his yang. Maybe he thinks that role will now go to Monroe but it's not doing it for me.

He sells quite a few decor things through home depot.  I'm sure the paint is there but he also sells his line of tile backsplash and barndoors

It really was juvenile of Megan to say she wasn't concerned about Jenny's fall and thought it was funny. Good Lord, woman, even if you're that immature, learn how to hide it better.

Gage is a worthless snob.... he’s a no body without jeff’s Money.... can’t stand him

I agree.  His comment about not having jumper cables in his car irritated me.  It must be nice to be so well off that you never have to use jumper cables to get your  car started.  Ugh I can't stand that "I'm so above it" attitude.

It will be u.g.l.y.  Hopefully, Gage is smart enough (I think he is) to sock away every penny that Jeff doesn't make him spend in shared expenses, 'cuz Jeff will cut him off with nothing when he's finished with him.  I think that's a when, not an if.

the sad thing when they separate is that Monroe won't have her primary caretaker, because even with Nannies, I think Gage is just that.

I have to imagine that Gage has legally adopted Monroe so they would most likely at least share custody.

Yes, and I was thinking that Gage had better hurry up and close the deal on having his own biological child with Jeff, to lock down that support money before Jeff um, flips out.

I looked at as he's just not car savvy. One time I was shocked about a friends husband who didn't know how to change a tire and my best friend (gay male ) said his then partner didn't know either how nor did  he. I wasn't surprised about him as he didn't drive. Jumper cables are something people had years ago but I would think with triple A not many do now.  Other than that I agree Cage has changed I used to like him.

I have a car jump thingy that is about the size of a VHS tape cartridge.  I don't find them scary or technical, but my father made sure that my sister and I knew the basics of car maintenance so that we could get out of trouble and not have to spend a fortune doing so.  My full-coverage insurance includes a towing/emergency road service feature that basically mirrors AAA.

I have a brother-in-law who can barely change a light bulb.  Not gay, just not interested.  He's a hetero Gage I guess.

Every picture I see is Monroe with Jeff.  Why is Gage not included?  Biologically she’s not Gage’s daughter, but still, he takes care of her.  I know he’s dying to Father a boy.  If they last. I like Jeff, but would never want him as a husband if he was straight.  He would drive me nuts.  Jeff and Gage are so different.  I don’t get the attraction.  $$$$ maybe?

Well, we just see what they show us.  Maybe there is more to their relationship than we see, or, they like the way each other is, or, they are in a rut, or, or, or...!  No telling what keeps them together and for how long.

I, too, have a BIL that can't even change a light bulb but he is LAZY.  All the males in our family are very good mechanically and can fix lots of stuff but this guy thinks he is Spanish royalty.  He hasn't had a job here or in Spain in 15 years, yet my sister keeps his lazy ass around and works like a dog at her teaching job while my parents continue to help support them financially. So sickening.

Not so in my case.  BIL has always worked, even worked as many as 3 jobs when their finances were tough and they had 2 small kids.  His character is strong, just his interests are in the arts, academics 'n such.  No time for learning about the baser skills, lol.

Your family is very lucky.  I would have no problem if my BIL was like yours.  My BIL has caused a lot of tension in our family.  He hates my parents yet he will still take their handouts.  It's a mess.

Back on topic, I like Gage and can't understand how he puts up with Jeff.  I think Jeff is interesting to watch on TV but I think he would be a beast to live with or work with.

What is going on with Jeff and the paint company?  We travel to Vegas a lot and I often drive by the company and think of Jeff, but dang if I can't remember their name!

Besides the (invisible) inspector, everybody remember the intense phone convo between 3-4 of them as they sat in the furniture w/h parking lot?  Talking with each other, b*ing about Jenny with someone (?) at Home Depot, purchasing plants and accessories?

I could be wrong, didn't rewind / verify but it felt as if they finished grousing and then jumped out of the cars to meet the furn couple.  No film of Jenny + add'l staff shopping - is the FO budget even lower this year?

Feels like we've seen and heard every potential Jeff Lewis / JLD scenario at this point, ad nauseam.  So boring - no idea why I haven't quit this show, lol.

ETA - I'm sure the furniture couple agreed to put up with the Bravo drama, i.e. Jeff disappearing from the shoot, etc.

Since Jeff is the one on social media, I've always assumed Gage is the one taking the pictures of him and Monroe that they post on Jeff's accounts.

I have always liked Gage--he got a rough start with the Zoila issues, but now I like him more for the way he clearly loves their little girl.   I am not sure I can keep watching now because when I see them all together I can't help thinking of the relationships Jeff has cut off when he's felt wronged, and worrying about Monroe if that ever happens.    I have always loved Jeff and the way he has treated his family and his pets has gone a long way with me even if he is not always great to all of the humans in his life but this may be getting too real for me.

I like Frankie--he seems like he will turn out to be a good JLD employee if he ever gets some training.   They should have had Jenny work with him more if they didn't want her in the office since they hired another assistant--let her be their corporate trainer since she knows the business inside out.

I never thought Jeff was a great employer but now just wow. Frankie and Paul must be hard up for money not to tell Jeff to stick it and walk off. If either/both don't meet your expectations then fire them but this switching positions or job titles or whatever and getting a kick out of them turning against each other is just mean spirited. And I don't know how Jenny stayed as long as she did. All long time viewers can remember all the times he went way over the professional line.

I've never had jumper cables in my car.  I've been driving for over 20 years and have only ever once used them, for someone else's car (they had their own).  It wasn't until after I came home and told my husband that I had done it that he asked how I knew to make sure I had lined the cables up to the right thingies on the batteries.  Apparently I just had dumb luck, because I didn't know that was a thing, and I didn't pay any attention, I just clipped cables to one battery, clipped them to the other and that was that.  I now have AAA and something that looks like a portable battery charger.  LOL!
