Mine too, I've resorted to just streaming everything on Fire TV for the most part, but was able to actually watch live TV last night and wouldn't change the channel for fear of jinxing it and a preview of the reunion was shown on WWHL last night.

Confession: I am currently sporting a head of hair almost as brassy as Kasey's, except I have a weird pink spot on the back of my head, so maybe I'm worse.  But I can almost see how she thinks it looks good because I'm like "oh, it's almost a nice copper," about mine (not that I'm leaving it this way, I was just too tired to finish it tonight).

The five minute season recap made me realize just how bad this season was. So much money spent for a luxury charter that at the end of the day strove for “adequate”. 

Hannah, a guy you broke up with not offering to pay for your plane change fee doesn’t mean he isn’t a gentleman. But you expecting men to pay for your time and services does make you an escort. 

Inside Sandy, Jwow, Brooke, Kasey, Adam, Colin, Jaime, and Conrad’s heads: “Well, it’s been an interesting season. I’ve had fights, looked, dumb, got in arguments, but it’s the last episode so I should stay sober, make amends, and at least appear as if I’m a good person.”

inside Hannah’s head: “Get drunk and burn them all to the ground!!!”

 

And all Hannah “learned” was not to spend so much time with a guy, not date the crew, and deal with her insecurities??? Wow, yeah she’ll need years of therapy.

I've been meaning to ask all season...

What are the yellow and black 'balls' on the wall near the coffee station? I'm sure they have something to do with said coffee's but I'm clueless. Help! ;)

So, since Captain Sandy and Hannah ended the season on friendly terms, I suspect they will both be back for Season 4.

Adam will be back too, since he said he’d work with Sandy for as long as she’d have him. Maybe Joao will return as well, as Sandy said she’d like to have him work for her again as Bosun.  

A Season 4 with those four could be interesting.  Perhaps if Joao is in the Bosun position, then Hannah will have some respect for him, and they will stop bickering and be professionals.

Conrad can’t possibly return as Sandy doesn’t want him back, plus he should never be on the same boat with Hannah ever again.

Brooke is likely done too as I can’t imagine she would be second stew to Hannah’s chief stew again.

I’d be happy to see Colin and Jaime come back and even Kasey too.

I don’t know when the S4 cast will be announced or, if there will even be one, but I’ll be looking forward too it.  In the meantime, I’m looking forward to the reunion.  My cable has it listed as showing on Bravo on 9/11/18 from 9:00 - 10:15pm EST.

Do they bring back crew members for more than one season?  I'm not talking about the senior crew members like the captain, cook and chief stew but the younger ones?

Younger crew/cast members are probably cheaper and more likely to bring drama, not to mention more telegenic?

The only returning non senior cast member I can think of is Bobby, and Nico on the OG Below Deck, there may be others.  I like seeing them return and watching them advance in their careers.  I’d be happy to see more of Colin, Jamie and even Kasey.

Wasn’t there one guy who was a deck hand one season who came back as a bosun the next. He was the brother of one of the stews? Can’t remember his name, but he was pretty much a disaster and Captain Lee kept chewing him out. 

 

I think if people want to come back they can, as long as the show likes them and they don’t ask for too much. I’m sure they like new people to mix things up, but they also obviously value keeping people who know how things work. Hannah really shouldn’t come back, but this is probably all she has going for herself and seems desperate for the fame.

They are those little single serve cups you use in a Keurig or other coffeemaker like that. I wondered the same thing until I think it was answered in one of the previous episode threads! :-P

Those are those Keurig coffee pods.  They have a board up there with grooves cut in that allow the pods to be slid in with their tops facing the wall.  You can see the number of balls/pods increase and decrease during the various episodes.

But it's strange that on a luxury yacht where they serve gourmet meals and champagne often, probably with nice wines, that they only serve pod coffee.

Don't get me wrong, I like my Nespresso machine.  But surprised a super yacht doesn't have a $5000 machine.

Do they serve top shelf liquor or only beer, wine and champagne?

They probably have a $400-500 one at least so it can make foam and do fancier drinks and customize the brew.  Some of the fancier commercial ones can be well over $1000, but would probably take up too much room and be over kill on a boat.  Maybe it's safer to make the coffee a cup at a time while at sea so you don't have to worry about the pot flying if things get crazy.

Dave the deckhand also came back as a replacement for someone else in Below Deck OG. He's my favorite of all these people - sweet, drama-free and major eye-candy.

I definitely prefer the original crew to these folks and watching this made me appreciate Kate more. Yeah, there is drama involved with her too, but she is a huge step up, professional-wise. I wish we got more of Jamie (and her chocolate milk) but I guess she was too normal. She's gorgeous, though, reminded me of pre-plastic surgery Naya Rivera.

There was also Kat who was the 2nd stew for seasons 1 and 2. Eddie started as just a deckhand in season 1; he was the bosun in seasons 2 and 3. Amy was the 3rd stew in season 2 and moved up to 2nd in season 3. Dave was a deckhand in season 1; he came back in the middle of season 3 after they lost Don and Dane. Kyle was a deckhand in season 4 after Lee fired Trevor the hair model; Kyle came back as a deckhand in the middle of season 5 because the deck crew was so green and a disaster.

Kyle is my favorite Below Deck cast member because his personal life is such a disaster. If they didn't have to subtitle him, I'd want him to move over to Vanderpump Rules. He's such a mess. He's a pansexual former soldier. He knocked up his baby mama next to a dumpster on the same day they met. He arrives on Below Deck, is smitten with Sierra, and pursues her for half the season. Then his completely unmentioned serious girlfriend, who is a transwoman, comes to visit and Kyle proposes to her. After the season, he cheats on his fiancee with his baby mama and knocks her up again. He is also arrested for robbing a bar. Kyle is British Jax.

And she had to beg him to let her do him!  That was the most embarrassing thing I have ever seen.  She does need therapy.  I had a fling with a much younger man/boy but we left it on great terms and I have watched him grow up.  Sounds skanky, I know.  He was 19 and I was 26 which is a huge difference in growth.  Colin is 23 and she is 30.  That is a big gap in growth and she stepped all over him and then followed him around to where he was hiding.  OMFG!

Sandy is a bad judge of character and she did not pick up on the fact that he  undermined Conrad (and Hannah) at every turn.  Hopefully after watching this season, Sandy realizes that he played her to the nth degree.  If he does get promoted to bosun next season, he will be gunning for Sandy's job.

As far as the coffee being served aboard the boat,  if I were spending all that money on a charter I would expect there to be an actual  Dunkin Donuts on the boat.  I am a New Englander, and I looove that coffee.  What can I say, I am addicted.  My Italian grampie would put it in my sippy cup when I was 18 months old.

Unfortunately I doubt it. Colin made a joke on Twitter about Joao’s creepy behavior and Sandy went after Colin making the nonsensical statement that what if Joao killed himself. It was weird on a variety of levels not least of we know from Joao’s own words he can’t be killed!

When the entire internet came after Joao for his obvious misogyny, he tweeted an apology and only @'ed Sandy. Not Hannah, Brooke, Kasey, or Jamie the women he actually treated terribly throughout the season. 

Sandy is a hypocrite and terrible manager. She seems to be cool with all sorts of bad behavior as long as her ego is stroked.

She has a hard on for Hannah this season, which is weird because Bobby's and Adam's last season screw ups were arguably much worse. Additionally, Adam was repeatedly derelict in his duties by failing to feed the crew, but he sucked up to Sandy and she was like ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ pizza!

Once she was informed about Kasey's resume, she really should have had a meeting with Hannah and Kasey to let Kasey know that what she did was unacceptable, that they we're sticking with her because they likely couldn't get a replacement, and formulating an action plan to improve Kasey's skills. Instead, she just yells at Hannah to get over it. 

Way to lead shitbird.

Sandy is a shit captain who thinks she's all that because she's a female captain in an arena where there are few women. But she's really no better than a clueless, slightly misogynistic male captain because she pretends she doesn't see the bullshit going on among her crew. If you dont want drama, then just tell the crew on Day 1, NO ON BOARD RELATIONSHIPS, or you're fired. Period end of story. And to coo over Kasey improving soooo much after she blatantly lied on her resume and didn't even care, I dont think Kasey even apologized to anyone over that, and she ought to have been fired on the spot. Joao is a creepy, shit stirring little piece of shit and I've met plenty of guys like him in South Africa, sad to say, but it's true. I'm sure they're all over, but they dont seem to get confronted on their bullshit much down there because they're white males and nobody will fuck with them when they're behaving badly. At least that's been what I've experienced and seen there, so he's no surprise to me. The sad thing is that as usual, Bravo knowingly hires these fuckheads and then they sit back and laugh, thinking it's great TV. It's NOT. It's lazy, shitty, lowest rung on the ladder casting. For all the talk about Conrad being so young, he is far more mature than Hannah. 

She's just despicable on every level.  I've disliked her from the first time I saw her, and she's given me more reason to feel that way as time goes on.  She has so many reasons to feel embarrassed by the way she speaks to people, the way she treats them, and the childish way she acts overall, but I doubt very much that she feels any true embarrassment at all.  It's always someone else's fault, and never her own.  She's very good at elevating herself, being cruel, and pointing fingers elsewhere.  She has a shocking lack of self-awareness, and I don't expect that to ever change.   I would love to never have to see her again, but I'm not counting on being that lucky.
